Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: unreal

amazing resort for cuba.. so modern and clean.. buffet was a bit small but was still good. beach was not varedero perfect but was still very nice. grounds were kept nice. bars were unbelievable with premium brands and great service

Resonance Blu Varadero: Very nice

Location of this resort is great, we stayed for a week this past March and really enjoyed our stay. My husband and I have been travelling Cuba for a while and love the country! The people are warm and inviting and this resort was clean. The cleanliness of the resort was great, the resort itself was huge, the good was ok. However the snacks are always good and we went off resort and eat at a bunch if AMAZING restaurants in town which is a 5 minutes bus ride away. For the most part the staff was great but it wasn't as personalized as the smaller resorts... I would return for a good deal!

Palma Real: amazing stay?

First trip to Cuba and the staff at this resort were so accommodating and helpful. Resort was clean and well maintained. We will be back next year.staff was always happy , smiling and engaging. We loved it here!

Starfish Jibacoa: Cottage in Cuba!

With a majority of the visitors here returning every year you know this place must be special! If you want fancy pampered this is not for you. If you want relaxed, safe and great snorkeling give it a try! We had a blast with our three kids!

Barcelo Solymar: Very nice resort

Very courteous staff, and over all the resort was kept very clean. We liked that we could use the facilities at Arenas Blancas and often went there for dinner for a change. We really enjoyed the beautiful beach, but found the evening entertainment lacking.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: What is that hotel called?

This hotel had its name changed three times whilst we we there. The last name we heard of was that it was going to be called Blue Diamond. I would recommend this hotel once they decide on who ownership or organization runs this resort.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Run down and tired

The beach was great but that's about it. Check in took forever with very few staff present when a new bus load checked in. The staff didn,t seem to care about providing prompt or good service , they were just putting in time The bedrooms were clean but the floor tiles were cracked and woren,outlets did not work,and it was in need of a coat of paint, as was the whole place. There were two elevator and one did not work and apparently had not worked for years according to preious guests. In the din [... read more]ing room I don't think the floors had ever been washed. If you got a napkin it was half or sometimes a quarter of a napkin. The food was ok, but very repetative. The grounds were well maintained but that's about all.

Barcelo Solymar: Barcelo Solymar Resort

Excellent resort, ideally located 5 minutes walk from town, and right on the beautiful beach. The variety and quality of the food was excellent, and the service from most staff was great! The bungalow rooms were much superior to the hotel ones. The only problem was the extremely loud and unclear sound system (making it louder does not help people to hear, it just makes it more unpleasant!)

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Fantastic resort and Staff

We were not 100% sure if Cuba was the place we wanted to visit as we heard the food was just OK!.We were proved Wrong.there was something for everyone at the Buffet and the specailty resturants had very good selections.The staff was exellent and tried to get to participate,If you did not want to the let you be,not like other resorts we have been to.the ground were well kept and the ground staff were friendly and often made little birds and stuff out of coconut leaves. Club Kawama: Great vacation

Don't expect 4 or 5 star quality but for the price, this is a good resort. Great beach with no issues getting space to sit any time of day. Food was ok, rooms were not bad. Tip the staff and they will provide smiling service! We were at the far end of the resort so we had a great spot for food, drinks, and an almost private pool and beach. Barcelo Solymar: Great BEACH RESORT

The accommodations are adequate & the food is typical of Cuban cuisine but I can always find something to eat. Plus I am not there to gain 5-10 lbs. I liked the resort and would recommend it for the great beach & beautiful swimming waters. Also, the entertainment at night was very good.

Roc Arenas Doradas: simple and perfect!

The resort was clean, conveniently located and the grounds were stunning. The was my 8th trip to Cuba and although it wasn't the fanciest hotel, it was by far the one I enjoyed the most. The size of the resort was perfect for kids and the food in the buffet was great for Cuba.

Sol Palmeras: Perfect vacation

The property is very well kept. The beach was very clean and there was plenty of seats! The food was the best I've had at any resort in Cuba and the staff was extremely kind and helpful! I would recommend this resort to anyone considering visiting Cuba!

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Good times!

we had an excellent time at the resort. the resort was huge and the front desk help us change our room to the kids area. make sure to stay in block 11 or 12 if you have kids! the resort had a lot of daily activities and had amazing nightly shows! the food was good, nothing special, but there was smething for everyone and they were always refilling the buffet! the grounds were kept very clean and the staff were very friendly!

Club Kawama: Disappointed

Upon our arrival the staff at the reception desk were not friendly at all except for Leida. We've been to Cuba numerous times always feeling welcome. We felt like an inconvenience at Kawama. We had an excellent room right on the beach. Our girls room was in the building next to us. They had issues with the tub backing up very gross "stuff" then both of our buildings had no water! We waited in line ups for food for up to an hour...just for french fries! When we went to our meeting Leida told us w [... read more]e could upgrade to a different resort at no extra cost. Plus they had overbooked at Kawama and there seemed to be allot of locals. So we decided to move to Villa Cuba. We were so glad we did. The staff were excellent, food was great, rooms were wonderful. We plan to go back to Villa Cuba in December! Kawama had a great beach. Kawama is right in Varadero so you can walk to the market & bars if you're into that plus there was an excellent pasta/pizza place beside Kawama. If you ever go there ask for Leida. She is a wonderful lady.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Great vacation, great value.

Everything was very clean, great slide for the kids. Food was just that. Staff was very friendly. We really had no complaints. Even the medical was very helpful. I unfortunately developed a serious ear infection, a result of an angry wave. People that goto to cuba and come back to complain, personally, I think have their expectations set on our standards. These people do great and offer us exceptionally priced vacations, especially if you travel with children.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great for the price

Overall good. Rooms very nice and clean. Be aware of really big bugs. We had them every night so make sure you leave your lights on when you are not in your room (we made mistake of shutting them). Our friends in another room never had any and told us they left all the lights on every night. Unfortunately we didn't figure this out until the end. Buffet was ok. Mike's coffee bar is amazing. Both hot and cold coffees. The ladies working there are the best. Beach was perfect. Wasn't busy during our stay so lots of palapas available on the beach. They don't offer free wifi, you have to buy a card for access and only available in the lobby.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Not Impressed on First Impressions

We were supposed to stay at this resort for 14 nights, but instead left after just one night. We weren't fond of anything, the resort looked rather dirty, the room was in pretty bad shape, the bed was terrible, bathroom looked like it wasn't cleaned in months. The food was just awful, no taste and just awful presentation. Felt like we were eating at a high school cafteria. Hotel Los Cactus: Breezes Varadero

I have been to Varadero 4 times including the Riu Varadero... I booked an oceanview room with tripcentral and received a gardenview with a barely spittin' shower spout. The food is redundant but that's expected in Cuba, u go for the beach! Breezes Varadero upsetted me in many ways. We paid more than enough for what we thought was a GREAT trip!! When we arrived, we waited two hours for a room... Don't get fouled by nolitours & early check ins and late checkouts. Shakes my head!!

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Very good

Very good .. The food really needs to be worked on though ..... Beach is amazing but there were no beach partys or beach bbq .. Bedrooms are a bit old for 4-5* hotel .. All it needs is paint n new bathroom :)
