Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Very clean and friendly resort

This resort is extremely clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and went the extra distance to make sure our stay was a very enjoyable experience. The food was delicious and of excellent quality and presentation. The beach is the best in town and the resort offers free daily transport to and from a quieter beach nearby. It is a short walking distance to shopping and the market. This resort is suitable for everyone.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Great winter get away

Enjoyed 11 days at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach resort. Very friendly staff; yards and grounds very well kept; food was great and plentiful with the chefs asking for opinions to want to ensure food was top notch and if improvements required. Beach was nice, although some days had seaweed, which was taken care of by staff. Entertainment crew was exceptional and engaging with the guests. Very large pools and very clean.

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Great All Inclusive Resort. Food was great and excellent service.

We have been to several all-inclusive resorts over the years and the Hard Rock stacks up against them all. The resort was very clean and easy to get around. We are a family of four and stayed on the family side. All in all the food was great and the service was second to none. I would go back!

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Eight times at The Royal Playa Del Carmen

The food at the restaurants is very good especially at the Chefs Plate however you need to have an Ocean Front room to access for free. Five course meals that are totally delicious and presentation unreal! On the negative side the night time entertainment is lacking. When we were there March 8-15th they had "entertainment" from 8:30 - 9:30 when the big shows start. What was listed for the 8:30 - 9:30 was "DJ and music. Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Amazing resort

A very beautiful resort, the staff are amazing, you can tell they go out of their way to please you. Everyone raves about the food, but I rave about all the workers who make you feel welcome and at home. I have been to the Valentin six times and will continue to go because it has everything you could ask for. So I don’t mess with perfection.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun: Spoilt rotten!

It was our first all-inclusive experience and it was a fantastic one! The service was impeccable. The food was great. Rooms were lovely (although I would have like to have known how much for the rooms that have the swim out option). The sofa bed was very uncomfortable but we got a roll away bed that was great. Very convenient that room service was included. You could not beat the staff - very friendly and accommodating but not over the top and in your face.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Very nice resort

Beautiful resort, excellent service, friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable... Great location for exploring many attractions on the Riviera Maya, Cenotes, Tulum etc. Food was OK but not outstanding. Beach was nice but has many large rocks under the water.

Catalonia Yucatan: What an amazing Resort!

We just returned from a last minute vacation that turned out to be our best ever! We stayed at the Catalonia Yucatan in the Mayan Riviera. It was the perfect size , not too big, and the staff were so lovely and helpful and courteous. There were so many things to do. We were taken sailing two times by Marco, an amazing guy! We kayaked in the lagoon. This place has great restaurants with no line ups. Food was really good. Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: A relaxing resort

We just spent 2 weeks at this resort, and found it quiet and relaxing. Despite the fact it is family friendly, the resort is amazingly quiet due to the child activity centre location and services for those with young families. The food was amazing. Chef Aldo was the customer service king. At every meal when he was working he took the time to come out and visit almost every table to check on the satisfaction of the guests, and made every effort to accommodate special requests. The poo, waitress Claudia was unbelievable with her beautiful smile and great memory of what we drinking. Marco Polo and Marcelo from the entertainment staff, made the games fun, and they were both very engaging. We never ran into one staff member that was rude, sullen or offered poor service right from the cleaning staff to the front desk people. The number of pool and beach recliners made it totally unnecessary to do the early morning grab and save. The guys on the beach were great in moving the recliners where you wanted them and putting the umbrella well into the sand. The beach is great for walking, but not so great for swimming due to the waves that come in with differing velocity, great for board surfing though. The resort was absolutely spotless, and every day we had fresh flowers on our beds, and we admired the beautiful arrangements that decorated the resort. We would recommend this resort to anyone who wanted a relaxing vacation, but you need to realize that to go anywhere involves a taxi.

Beaches are amazing. You could walk 5 miles a day. Air Tramsat rep Vincent was awesome. Food was great and atmosphere was so relaxing. Bang for your buck. Nice break to split it up at the end and go to Decameron in Bucerías if you are a younger generation. No complaints

Dreams Huatulco: One of the best Resorts we have been at.

The Resort had a great layout. It was very clean and bright. The cleaning staff was at it day and night. Rooms were very clean and serviced twice a day. Clean towels and every thing else. Grounds and beach area well laid out. Lots of swimming pools and beach area. Great buffets and restaurants with great quality food. Great service throughout the resort. This will be our next vacation spot.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Beautiful wedding

We had our wedding at BBGE and the wedding was truely wonderful. However, we bought the most expensive package that included spa massages, a dinner for the wedding couple on the beach, dinner rehearsal for wedding party, etc. These were supposed to be all booked for us and none of them were so I was quite disappointed in the arrangements. We spoke to our wedding planner about it and it was merely shrugged off like it didn’t matter. Some of the staff were excellent like Aaron and Jorge! Canto Del Sol: Nice Family Resort if there is a Falcon

I found the pool area courtyard especially beautiful with perfect tile work and gorgeous plants and large palm trees. Especially striking is the Sunset with that view through the palms. The beach is disappointing we did not even bother with it. Very small and a hangout for the smokers. There was a serious problem with birds during the first few days. It was disgusting and extremely uncomfortable trying to eat outside. Finally a Falcon and handler arrived which made all the difference. I do not blame the resort for the birds but clearly there was an option all along. A falcon MUST always be present. Otherwise a nice resort, very pleasant hard working staff from servers to front staff to the entertainment staff. We once by mistake forgot to close the safe in our room and the safe door left wide open with all our passports my wallet full of cash, the room cleaners did not touch it, very honest people, very impressed. The food in the ala carte restaurants was wonderful, truly first rate.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Very disappointed

Definitely old, small rooms, old furnishings. No face cloths Did get some from the maid, but not replaced. Plumbing noise ! Leaked ! Even soap and towels not replaced without asking ! Asked to have day bed removed. Never happened. Telephone did not work Food selection at lunch and supper Buffets poor. One Buffet closed for supper. Other so crowded and run out of food, not enjoyable. Breakfast good. Beach well kept, and clean. Lots of lounges, and shelter .Wonderful ocean view and miles to walk [... read more]. A La Carte good. Had to book at 8 A.M for reservations. Could reserve 2 days only. Only 1 bottle of water for a day in room. If you want more have to purchase it. Would like quality drinks. Grounds well kept.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Excellent Resort

This was our first time at the Royal Decameron and we liked it very much. Very friendly staff,good food and very nice grounds. We likedthe beautiful beach which was perfect for long walks. Talking to other guest it seems lots of guest have been long time customers.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Very clean and spacoius resort

We stayed at this resort during first two weeks in March 2018. Room was comfortable, on the 3rd floor There are two elevators for use, so the was not difficulty getting around. The hair dryer and one light bulb did not work, however they were replaced within one hour. Unfortunately the new bulb burned out on last day. Mini fridge was stocked daily with soda, beer, etc. The king size bed was comfortable. Our friends did not get two doubles, although they requested at the time of booking. Air Tra [... read more]nsat agent tried to fix it, but no avail. Resort is very clean, there were many lounges available. Food at snack bar was same every day, selection good. The specialty restaurants were OK, although in couple the service was extremely slow, i.e main course was not delivered until 1 hr and 30 minutes. This resort offers many activities for kids and evening programs were u to par, except the "Circus". One drawback was beach. Too many weeds in water and along edge, rocks in water for about 2-3 metres. The staff was fighting "loosing" battle cleaning and collecting weeds. Maybe this is a "seasonal" issue.

Princess Mundo Imperial: Beautiful resort but....

Felt more like a 5 star(not our room which Could have used some reno) hotel,that got into the All inclusive business to level their income. 2 of the restaurants had items that were not included in the All inclusive deal, and you had to pay separately to get them(I.e lobster) which I never saw elsewhere. Beautiful grounds, pools, food top notch(Mexico never fails in this category), amazing beach but sea is wavy so not good for swimming. We only went in the city for the cliff diving show in the evening, and saw some scary police man and not too many tourists. Were advised to be cautious and honestly beside a walk in full dailight to Walmart and the night show at the diving show we never left the grounds(very well protected from the entrance to the area to the grounds).

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Good resort

Decameron resort has nice, clean rooms, very friendly staff and great service. It’s location in guayobitos is perfect; close to other towns and different tours. I went on the tequila town excursion and it was a great two days.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Expected more from a Hilton

The reviews were mixed for this resort and we should have believed them. This resort is not a 4.5 star but more like a 3. First room faced a wall and had no safe. We requested a room change and got one the next day. In the meantime they brought up a safe. Second room was more pleasant and had a safe. The ceiling fan though, had a mind of its own. Initially there was no remote to operate it (and no wall switch), they brought a remote but in the middle of the night it would either turn on o [... read more]n its own and run extremely fast or if on, it would speed up to what seemed beyond the fastest speed. Housekeeping was hit or miss. We had to call 4 days/10 to get the room cleaned and finally reported it to the front desk. Toiletries were not replaced regularly, had to ask for body lotion more than once. Now the restaurants, buffet was extremely skimpy. The smallest I’ve ever seen at a resort. It lacked variety, was repetitive and for a vegetarian very difficult to get good healthy food. Freshly fried fish was only done twice in 10 days. They frequently served a rolled up fish, presented with different buttery or creamy sauces most days. I couldn’t help wonder where this fish came from as I’d never seen it before in Mexico when fresh fish is abundant. I was eating the retried beans and poached eggs until I tasted pork fat. Beach chairs required an early morning jaunt to save chairs. If you weren’t out by 8 am finding shade was difficult. Entertainment was a musical duo a twice a week. Font desk did not change American or Canadian money. Staff there was so so, not overly friendly. Same with the waiters. The nicest people were the housekeeping and grounds staff. Finally I’ll end on something positive. Location is close to airport.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Adequate All Inclusive

Grand Sirenis all inclusive resort delivers what one would expect from a moderately priced property on the Mayan Riviera. The buffet food was pretty good and the al a carte restaurants were OK. The grounds were very nice and well looked after. The amenities available after dinner were somewhat sparse and a little boring so returning to one's room and curling up in front of the TV often seemed to be the best option. Speaking of the beach all of the Mayan Riviera is suffering from an influx of seaweed covering the shoreline. The resort tried to keep the beach clean but the weed kept coming and fouling things up. Overall a pretty good resort but there are plenty of other options.
