Hotel Bella Costa: Everything we needed!!

A great resort that provided everything we were looking for and more! Helpfull and friendly staff, clean room, great variety of food, nightly entertainment, room close to beach, great beach with plenty of chairs and lots of information available for day trips etc. We would definitely go back to this resort!

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Terrific food , great variety of pools ....

Great food - you might have to search a bit to find the good stuff . Terrific variety of excellent pools . Personable service from all staff . You can walk for hours on the beach ... Grounds are well groomed and watered . Bar service prompt , friendly , and great choices .....

Melia Marina Varadero: Nice Resort

In Cuba, this hotel is considered clean. Staff are friendly. Buffet is good, but should serve different food during lunch and dinner. Buffet will get boring after eating there a few times (almost the same thing every day). Live performances were amazing. Will come back to this hotel again.

Oasis Islazul: Very cute little resort!!

This place was literally 5 min from the airport! It was a very cute little place with great staff. I traveled with my 5 year old and the two of us had a great time. The drinks were good and the food was really good ( to my surprise) we have stayed at a few different places in Cuba before and in my opinion the food at this resort was the best. Great place., would defiantly go back. Take your own pillow though, and don't waste your clean towels .. They are hard to come by .

Roc Arenas Doradas: Good time at this resort

This was our first time to Cuba but not our last. We had an amazing time and the ROC Arenas Doradas was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the resort was clean and the food was good. The next time we go to Cuba we will be staying at the ROC.

Sol Varadero Beach: Good resort

The grounds were nice, the food was not that great but I hear all of Cuba is not great for food. The service is good only if you tip alot. The beach was great. They need to update and maintain the rooms more. The plane was the worst do not travel Cuban airlines. Good if you want to be close to the city and want to just relax.

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Nice Resort

Resort was nice not amazing but nice . Beaches were beautiful. Rooms were clean. Staff were very nice. Food was typical Cuban food best meal was Nolitours Plus barbeque night. Mosquitoes are horrendous !!

Club Kawama: Fantastic resort

My sister and I stayed at Club Kawama for one week in February. We've had an amazing experience! The food was delicious and had a great selection. We participated in all the activities the hotel had to offer and enjoyed all of them. The beach and the water were clean. The staff was friendly and professional. We recommend Club Kawama because they offer almost anything you need in any resort but with a very affordable price.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Best Vacation, Exceeded Expectations

Visited this beautiful resort June 5-12, 2014. The lobby was very inviting and the grounds beautifully kept. The room was spacious, modern in decor and very clean. Would recommend the second floor as nice to have a bit of privacy on the balcony and to have a place to hang wet clothing. We took an outlet adapter however it was not necessary. We traveled as a couple and found a mix of other couples, families and age groups. With this said, the resort never felt crowded nor too loud. The lay out of complexes and green space allow for some quiet times and the choice as to whether to be in groups of people or take some alone time. We are not pool people, however the pool was close to our room and always appeared very clean and inviting. There were always lounge chairs available at both the pool and the beach and again, there was room to spread out if desired. The beach was gorgeous, clean, had plenty of parasols if needing a break from the sun and was amazing for swimming. The shores were cared for, the sand very soft and minimal tides allowed for easy and relaxing water play. We were able to dine at all three restaurants, along with the buffet and did not have to wait in line to do so (despite their no reservation arrangement). While we chose not to attend shows, there was nightly entertainment scheduled and staff during the day who offered activities by the pool or on the beach. The piano bar was a favorite, with the pianist and music trio a hit- along with staff and guests who would join in for singing or dancing. Mike's Cafe was another big favorite, with the best coffee and most delicious selections we have ever had. A big thank you to the staff at Mikes for their hospitality, friendly nature and for starting each day off with us with smiles. Taking a gourmet coffee down to the beach in the mornings while all was quiet was such a treat; on the first morning we sat and watched dolphins play right in front of the hotel beach. This was a fantastic vacation on all accounts, at a lovely resort that certainly exceeded our expectations. Thank you all and we hope to return! Roc Arenas Doradas: Amazing Vacation - Excellent Resort!

ROC Arenas Doradas is a fabulous resort. This was our second time in Varadero Cuba but first time staying at Arenas Doradas. My boyfriend and I stayed from February 14th to February 21st, 2014. The resort was a perfect size, not too large and there was no need to worry about finding a lounge chair at the beach or by the pool. The staff was extremely friendly, provided excellent service and were incredibly hard workers. The food is mediocre but that is very typical for Cuba. Servers Yuliana, Jesu [... read more]s, and Raphael in the buffet restaurant deserve a special mention for their amazing service. The cleanliness of the resort was immaculate and the rooms were quite spacious. We were located in block 8, room 816 which was conveniently located by both the pool and beach. The maids provided us with fresh towels, a bottle of water and clean sheets daily. Although the shower pressure was low, the hot water was plentiful. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely, without a doubt, be revisiting this resort - excellent experience! Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Not what we expected!

We were not impressed. The grounds were unkept and dirty. The rooms were also run down, mold, dead bugs on the walls and little bugs all over the bed and desk area. Called the front desk at 7:30 to complain about the bugs in the bed and was told to wait till 9 a.m. the chamber maids start only then.

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Beautiful Resort with Excellent Service

Spent 1 week at the Blau Marina April 2013. Reception staff were extremely polite and helpful. The resort is huge and there are golf carts available to drive you around the grounds. The beaches were absolutely stunning and you can walk for miles on end. There was always lots of shade with umbrellas. The beach staff were so friendly, carrying your bags and helping you find the best chairs. Entertainment staff were fun, vibrant! I did not go to a la carte so cannot comment. Again, dining room staff amazing! So friendly and wiling to make your experience fantastic. I would say the only downside to this resort is that it is very outdated. I mean very. The rooms are old and not maintained very well. I didn't want to take my slippers off. I was not impressed. I have been to other resorts in Cuba with much more decent rooms. However, the beaches, food and level of service beats any other place I have been....Would I go back....not to this resort because I wasn't comfortable in the rooms. The showers were stained. Didn't know if it was mold? There were spots all over the walls..wasn't sure what they were but knew I didn't want to touch. It is unfortunate that such a decent resort with beautiful beaches, fantastic people and service have such poor accommodations.

Gran Caribe Sun Beach: Overall good experience

We were a little disappointed when we first showed up because the hotel is a little dated. The first day service was not great but this greatly improved as we made friends with a few of the staff. For Under $700 per person you cannot complain. The beach is nice and there are many good restaurants around.

Barcelo Solymar: Clean and friendly

Convenient in many ways: 5 minutes walk from all of the boutiques and restaurants. Last on, first off the bus when going on trips (activities/tours) and only 15-20 minutes from the airport. 2 hotels in one therefore, two buffets to choose from ( although many have complained, I have no complaint on the food. What does people expect for a all-inclusive for the price?) Great beach, clean and friendly staff. Melia Marina Varadero: Wonderful staff! Great location

Carlos and Mabel in the cigar lounge were absolutely wonderful and made our trip incredible! Lovely resort, great food. Staff were attentive. Managers were all over the place helping the staff. Yania was so sweet and took great care of us.

Melia Las Americas: Amazing Resort

Food, Entertainment and Services was fantastic. The beach was very clean and the bartendar's always had a smile, singing, dancing and truly made us laugh each time. The maintenance staff responded quickly and professionally. Housekeeping and grounds keepers definitely did a fantastic job as well, always fresh and clean.

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Beautiful beach!

This resort is a great spot for a relaxing holiday. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food was good but not great. Overall we had a great experience.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Ocean Varadero El Patriarca

Our stay here was great once again! This was our second visit here. We had decided to return since we and our children (2yo & 4yo) enjoyed it last year. Kids club activities, playground and pool were perfect for them. The animators are really nice and flexible to what you or your kids want to do. Walking around the resort was ok for the kiddies too. Rooms in building set up was good too since it's quiet for the kids naptime/bedtime. Our second visit, we were near the pool but still not loud for  [... read more]us.
