Catalonia Montego Bay: Holiday Inn Montego bay

The hotel beach, grounds and location are great. We are returning customers from 2019. The hotel made many COVID precautions. They strictly enforced the masking rules for the buffet. The food was fantastic as always. The desserts could have been helped with ice cream as an option. A sample of more local fruit would be nice. Guinep, Advocado, Nasberry, Jackfruit, Sweet and Sour sop, Plums, Breadfruit, mango etc. Some of these trees are on the grounds. Mwah. Fantastic buffet meals by the kitchen staff. Nice mix of Jamaican and traditional meals with something for everyone. The hotel could do better on chaos control during check in time. Transportation was also an issue. Guests should be aware that the typical concierge location is manned by 3rd party taxis. Not that you may not need them but the distinction should be more clear. They do not work for the hotel. Some signs posted would help. Like the entire world..staff turn over, supply and training issues are impacting things, but as long as you take that in consideration the staff are really doing their best. Shout out to the Barefoot bar and the fish, burger and chips tuck on the other side. Those people are going non stop for 7 hours. Great job your hard work was noticed. Shout out to Davina at the bar. There is something about this hotel that makes it very special. The majority of the people that come to stay are relaxed and that rubs off. I feel comfortable to be myself. I recommend it. I will be back. I miss it already.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Noticeably not the same

We have been to this resort 3 times and this time the food quality was very very poor, the service was also not what it used to be . Called several times with no answer and then waited for 2 days for things we needed . We even tried the upgrade to luxury side and moved back the next day as it was not worth the money at all. Also the resort was not full but yet they would not accommodate getting us a room with 2 beds , so I had to sleep on a very uncomfortable rollaway and end up on the couch a [... read more]ll week. Catalonia Montego Bay: Beautiful Resort

The grounds are well kept, Public area were kept cleaned and Covid 19 protocols were kept in Public and Dining areas. The Rooms were dated but clean. Rooms are to be cleaned every second day however they missed one day of cleaning in our room. We stayed in Bldg. 1 it was closed to everything but a little loud at night with the entertainment. There was times they ran out of plates and glasses. This has been our 4th time at this Resort over the past 14 years and we will be back.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Resort good but can use some upgrading

Overall experience was good. Needs some upgrades which has started. From the time me and my husband got to the hotel, sales rep was behind you to purchase excursions or go to their presentation. We book excursions for Doom buggy for 2 ppl seeing I wanted to be with my husband together, The representative (Kenny) in the hotel lobby sold us that( so he said) The day of excursion, we were taken to’ Chukka’ when it should be ‘Yeamann’ Chukka did not had doom buggy’s period and ATV was onl [... read more]y for 1 person so me and my husband had to drive separately, which was our concern. Then we were not told that you needed close toe shoe for event, so my husband had to buy another shoe there seeing he was wearing an open toe sandals. Once we got back to the hotel, Kenny was always not available, we finally got hold of another rep, even they were not able to get hold of Kenny. Our trip ended, we came back home and still did not get an answer. We found out these rep’s do not work for the hotel, they’re from outside that works on Comission . The hotel needs to crack down on these behaviours so they don’t ruin their reputation

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: AMAZING!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This trip was incredible!! The staff, the food, the pools, the entertainment, the rooms…. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We are already planning our next trip back. We loved everything about this resort! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would recommend this to everyone!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Mix feelings

We didn't have the best time, specially the service. The rooms had issues, my parents room had a leak, twice. They couldn't fix it, and its hard to ask 80 years olds to move and change rooms all the time. The people are great but the spanish managment are fully taking advantage of the situation. the hotel need to be renovated, the AC system is old, the air does not seem clean. Why should not a 5 star hotel have two options? the owner is milking the people. The best part of Jamaica was the Jamaican people. Hotel food and resrutants also have poor service.

Riu Negril: No it was not amazing.

The grounds where insects infested. We where dinner for them. The resort spray for insects and did not notify guess. So we had to run for cover as the machines expelled fumes when treating the lawns. Riu host and hostess awoken us while we where sleeping on the beach. ( Saying, wake up we are here, it’s 10:00 a.m.) We could not book a meal at the restaurant. We had to line up outside in the sun and heat. It was first come first served. Then they had a second setting. 9:00 p.m. So dinner wa [... read more]s in the buffet. The meat was over cooked dry and on a few occasions burnt.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Beach was amazing but hotel was just OK

The hotel was situated on a beautiful beach with white sand and clear water, really close to the airport. You can sit there all day and just watch the planes come in. Very peaceful. It was not overly packed, so there was no need to fight for beach chairs in the morning or line up at buffets. All the rooms were beach front. What the hotel lacked was the food. They are always out and they don't replenish. I've never been to a resort where at a la carte restaurant, they only had 3 of the 8 selectio [... read more]n available. Nor have I ever seen them run out of bacon at 8am, when the restaurant opened at 7. Also, having been to Jamaica multiple times in the past; there have always been a jerk hut that gave you jerk chicken and fries for 2/3 hours a day. This resort did not have much local food. Other than their Jamaican night". Overall it was an ok trip. Would I recommend it to others, I guess it would depend on why you are there - if you don't care about the food and is there for the beaches, I would definitely suggest it. But if you are going to enjoy the food, then no.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Best Sister Trip ever!

The hotel was awesome a little confusing to start but once you got to know where you were all was good!! I enjoyed the beach pool food was very yummy…I love spicy and jerk chicken MmMm tasty! Some desserts I could not eat due to allergy to coconut :( they looked yummy! Security was great as I did a lot of walking around in the evenings they asked if I was good! Couples Swept Away: Amazing beach, Resort meh!

The beach was fantastic, nice white sand, calm waters. The room was fine, A/C was good. The cleaning services were fine, except that they came very last, 3:30-4:00 pm. The food was average, All the restaurants were open-air except, Feathers. The Palms buffet was in a covered outdoor space, so lots of bugs in/around the food. Riu Reggae: It's not 5 stars

This hotel needs an update. The lobby is very shabby and the resort is very dated. Best beach of all 3 surrounding beaches (least seaweed and most Palm trees for shade). The people are older (late 30s to mid 50s), so I wouldn't recommend it to people in their 20s like me. It does however give you access to the Riu Montego Bay lunches and clubs. The entertainment staff is awesome but the rest of the staff is rude or very inappropriate, male staff offering you weed or to take you off the resort.

Hedonism II: Very relaxing

Had a wonderful stay. A bit remote but had a very relaxing vacation. Great room, great grounds, great entertainment and great food. Wished entertainment extended further into the night considering it is an adult resort.

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: Amazing experience from start to end

Exceptional customer service at the resort. Nothing to complain about.Had a great experience. Lots of activies for kids. Five star treatment from picking up to drop off.Great nightly entertainment for kids and adults.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Good resort, confusing checkin!

To start off with, we missed an entire day of our trip. We arrived in Jamaica at 2:30PM and didn’t end up getting into our room until 10:30PM at night, meanwhile we were back and forth waiting for them to find the room we originally booked. This was a huge inconvenience on trip centrals part, however the resort was amazing and the people were very friendly.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Riu never disappoints!

Beach ✅ Food ✅ Pools ✅ weather ✅ view from our eoom ✅ Jamaican People✅❤️✅ Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful clear water, sandy beach, 3 separate pools, great buffet, specialty restaurants were good with the exception of the Japanese one, rooms were large and recently renovated. Distance from airport is the only down side. Paid for Club Mobay and private transportation on our arrival and well worth it. Didn’t require either for trip back. the property is very big and friendly staff had a great time , not the best beach but still ok .food and drinks was good. Place is 15 years old need some maintenance. nightly shows are great .had to settle for late dinner appointment but the food was good like the wine service.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Not what was expected

Not what was expected based on photos. Check-in process was unorganized and room was not ready. Not much variety at the buffet and ran out of food fast when more guests arrived at the resort. Other food places also ran out of food items - no nachos, or veggie burgers. Staff were not as happy and friendly as we had experienced at other resorts in Montego Bay. Dreams Rose Hall: Great Hotel

The hotel was just perfect. Wasn't too big, walks to get places were short and the staff was amazing. As usual for jamaica, the food was amazing. The only thing that can be inproved is more activities for the kids from the staff. For a family resort it was surprising to see nothing for the kids being done. Pool amd water slides were fantastic.

Couples Swept Away: Long awaited trip!

This was our first time visiting the Negril area of Jamaica & this resort. Covid protocols were relaxed during our stay as mask mandates had been lifted. There were hand sanitizing stations in common areas. The resort was not at full capacity, and based on previous vacations to another hotel in this chain, I'd say the staffing levels are still recovering. This hotel is located in the middle of seven mile beach & the beach is fantastic, the hotel is very laid back and has a beachy vibe. If you are pool people, this may not be the place for you. The restaurant options, food and service was very good! We had a room in the Great House, rather than the numerous bungalows throughout the resort, it was a good location, offered a bit of an ocean view, and was quiet, but next time I'd try a bungalow.

Riu Negril: Great time!!!

the hotel was right on the beach , with a lovely view of the bay the room looked out over the bay as well which afforded us the opportunity to see the other guest come and go . the food was great and if you went hungry it would be your fault. Jerk chicken on the beach was fantastic , but you had to get there early or the side dishes would be gone. all in all we had a great time as it was just what I was looking for , an opportunity to sit on the beaach in a beautiful resort and just chill
