Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Very nice

Staff were lovely and went above and beyond! Beach was lovely. Service was great. Staff was friendly and hardworking. Been to Mexico 8 times now and each time was a good experience. This resort tried really hard to please tourists and make it feel like home.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: I would not recommend

We were a party of more than 20 people and close to half of our group spent at least one full day in bed with food sickness. The hotel does not limit the number reservations people can make so there were zero reservations at the a la carts restaurants unless you paid for wine in advance. The beach was also not great. The staff were kind and lovely and could not do enough for you. I would not return.

Bahia Principe Escape Tequila: Bahai Principe Grand Tequila

We just returned from a week at the newly renovated Grand Tequila and were very pleased our decision to try another Bahai Principe resort. We have been to Punta Cana Aquamarine a number of times and Grand Tequila did not disappoint. Some observations were that the gym was in the basement, no windows, no TVs and much smaller than the gym at Punta Cana which included a separate room for fitness classes. The rooms, grounds, Lobby, pools and restaurants were all well kept, clean and inviting. Our on [... read more]ly complaint was the app for booking restaurant reservations, frustrating and difficult to say the least. Also, we were afforded specialty restaurant reservations for each night of our stay at Aquamarine in Punta Cana and there was a reservation interactive screen where you could book, change and delete reservations very easily. One other observation was that at La Casita a full menu was available if you chose the Spanish site but the English site did not include a full menu of options. We only realized this on our last visit and the staff were the ones who pointed out that to get the complete menu offering you needed to access the Spanish option, maybe the other languages as well? All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and realize it is a new part of the resort and kinks have to be worked out. I would definitely recommend Grand Tequila.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Excellent Resort

This is a large resort. You have access to the sister resorts and are all walkable. The food was excellent. The rooms are a little dated but are very clean and comfortable. My grandson has food allergies and the kitchen staff was able to provide us with separately prepared food. The beach is beautiful and you can walk a good distance. However water shoes are a must. There are large rocks under the water you can't see. Once you get in the water 100 feet or so there is nice sand. There is no bar [... read more] service at the beach but service is available at the pool. The staff were pleasant and accommodating and worked very hard. Thanks to all the resorts staff. The Xmas eve diner was something out of this world. The food and decor was amazing. Thanks also to Kevin Dupuis from trip Central who handled my booking . Barcelo Maya Colonial: Fantastic resort

We loved our stay with our two children. The Beach was beautiful and we absolutely loved the snorkeling off the beach. We saw many fish and swam with sea turtles. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The grounds are so well taken care of and we didn't find anything was far to walk to. We all enjoyed the food and felt that there were enough choices for everyone. We were there over the Christmas holidays, the feast on the 24th was out of this world. The staff were very friendly. Riu Emerald Bay: Great resort!

Awesome food and service! Loved the Ocean view rooms.Great set up for a larger family. Our family has been to this resort twice and would definitely go back for a third time! Our travel agent was Saskia who was very helpful with attention to detail.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Perfect weather every day!

This was a wonderful escape from our Canadian winter weather. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Sunny and 31c everyday. The resort was nice and people were exceptionally friendly. Also, the service was outstanding. Beautiful beach and the sunsets were amazing! Also, we had no issues with vendors or people selling timeshares. Our favorite restaurants were the Italian and the Bluewater grill. However, we were not keen on the buffet or some of the Mexican food. However, this is purel [... read more]y personal taste. If you have children, this is a great place to visit. There are many kids programs available at this resort. If there is an area for improvement, I would suggest perhaps more food/dinner variety.

Sandos Cancun: Disappointing Experience: Not a 5-Star Resort

• The Rooms: Very dated and in need of a serious refresh. For a "luxury" resort, the furniture and decor felt old and tired. • The Staff: This was the most disappointing part of the trip. The Sens Cancun: Boutique Hotel, vacation package not as advertised but overall good trip

We paid for adults only, hotel was filled with families and small children. Hotel areas and rooms were clean. Ambience during the day and night was lovely. No reservations taken for dinners and therefore had to wait an hour or could not get in. Overall, I didn’t eat like I was at all inclusive. Portions were small and food was mediocre except for one or two meals and snacks. Beach club was amazing! Unfortunately, the hotel concierge didn’t explain the perks I paid for such as access to the priva [... read more]te club, Sensoria so I paid extra daily for the beach club for 5 out of my 7 day stay, and also, as we couldn’t get beach chairs at 8:30am., since all were full, everyday it seemed. Some staff friendly while most neutral. If you don’t speak Spanish, ultimately, expect different treatment. Beach area was small but nice and clean for most part, with lots of seagulls though. The comfort of the hotel and chill vibes coupled by the gorgeous weather (compared to Canada) and excursion outside of hotel was the highlight of my trip. Booking info on trip central was not fully accurate nor transparent with indications of a mandatory departure tax in Cancun that was not necessary to pay and the requirement not to pay for pre-baggage fees since Sunwing Vacations includes one checked bag. This was not transparent at the booking. I was told I would receive a voucher for these costs.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Second time at Las Brisas, and we will be booking again!

We love Las Brisas for the following reasons: Wonderful staff, a variety of a la carte choices and food choices at the buffets, spacious, clean rooms with gorgeous views of the ocean ( we were in the Mar section both times and had a huge balcony, Bering and Mediteraneo buildings). Our room both times was quiet, never noisy and always cleaned, mini fridge stocked. The staff never missed a day and if we requested more coffee or water, they provided it. We could not ask for a better room! We [... read more] never got the maid's name or even saw her, nor did we see the mini fridge person, but they did a fantastic job EVERY day! We always had fantastic service from front desk staff and the concierge when booking out a la carte. Check in was quick, friendly and easy! The ocean is SWIMMABLE, no undercurrent or huge waves AND you can see the bottom of the ocean clearly and NO sargassum/seaweed! There is one bay to swim and snorkel, one bay to swim and another activities and swimmable bay. We would spend our days in and out of the ocean. You can see many fish while snorkelling. There are plenty of loungers for everyone and shade! The grounds are beautifully manicured and cared for. There are 5 a la carte restaurants and a buffet. So many choices! We never went to any shows as we are up early and in bed early!! Pickle ball and tennis are extremely popular here! There are lots of places to walk and get your exercise. People say there is too much walking and hills and stairs, but the shuttles run constantly. You just call from your room and they are there in a minute or two. If you are out and about, you can easily jump on one. We prefer the exercise so rarely took a shuttle. They offer a bird watching tour every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It is approximately a 2 hour tour and definitely worth checking out! You meet in the lobby just before 7 AM. They do have binoculars you can borrow. We have so many staff that made our vacation special, it would be a long list, but the ones that were consistent EVERY single time we saw them, were the egg station beautiful ladies at the Mexican buffet, Eva and, I didn't get the other name...Arora, Agave? but they almost always worked together. They had the most wonderful smiles for us, and made our day! As well as they made scrumptious omelettes! The other very lovely lady was at the Brisas Beach Club Lounge, Novelle and she was the best. The Brisas Beach Club Lounge is open from 7-11AM for breakfast and 5-7PM for appetizers and drinks. It was such a nice way to meet people and the appetizers were scrumptious! Fermin at the Mexican bar is always friendly and makes the best margaritas! We booked Brisas Beach Club for a few reasons, that mean a lot to us, but it is your personal preference. We want a balcony, we want an a la carte every night, we like a room with a view and we loved the Brisas Beach Club Lounge! Here are some of the staff, that I asked for their names and who made having dinner even MORE enjoyable. El Pescador staff, Adrienne, Leonardo Mediterranean staff, Audifred Martinez, Gabriel, Alberto (who we met two years ago) We consistently had exceptional service at the Mediterranean. Main Buffet, Roberto - we only went once for lunch at the main buffet. Solarium staff, Omar and Pablo, Shayla, Marco (he took lots of photos for us, so nice!) La Pergola for lunch is nice and it opens at noon, where the main buffet opens at 1PM. We never went to the Mexican or Kasba this time. We never had any issues finding things to eat. There were lots of choices! *The only negative comment I can make about the a la cartes is that quite often the vegetables were not very hot, but the meat or fish would be*. Our first morning, we were looking for a lounger on the beach, and wanted beach towels, but were too early to get any. One of the staff overheard us, and went and brought us two towels! His name was Christian. Very thoughtful. ALL the beach waiters were awesome! They came around regularly. We didn't always order, but they still asked. We were impressed! We have to say that this is probably our favourite resort. Many guests have been here between 1-24 times, and are coming for 3 and 4 weeks now! That says a lot. We are definitely going to book the minute the dates and times come up and hope that the prices stay reasonable! With our most sincere appreciation to all the staff that made our trip absolutely perfect. I apologize for not getting every name. I need to bring a notepad and pen with me to each place! Looking forward to seeing you next year!

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Great resort for the price!

Hotel grounds were very nature-centred which is amazing! Very peaceful and quiet, lots of bali beds and places to lounge by the water. staff were extremely kind and attentive for the most part but waiters can forget about you when dining halls get busy. Room was nice and clean with a comfy king sized bed, but we found that the blankets were just sheets instead of duvets which is not ideal. We also found that they do not switch out sheets and pillowcases daily and they only remade the bed with ol [... read more]d sheets which was not the greatest either. The food was amazing at the italian and mexican restaurant, but the buffet is a great safe choice too. The breakfast buffet was our favourite due to the make-your-own omelette bar. Overall, we would come back again!!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Unique Experience

I wanted to try this hotel as it seemed different from other all inclusive. The resort is beautifully landscaped and has lots of trails for walking and cenote for swimming. The bad part was beach as it was very rocky and small lagoon too small to swim. Food was fine just big lineups at buffet. Overall nice but not for beach and swim lovers.

Riu Santa Fe: An excellent resort

I recently stayed at this hotel during my vacation and had a wonderful experience. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained, which made it feel very comfortable and welcoming. The mattress was incredibly supportive and cozy, allowing for a great night’s sleep after long days of exploring. I was also impressed with the updated washrooms — modern, fresh, and spotless. The beach was also very clean, with no seaweeds, which made it perfect for relaxing walks along the shore. The food at the hotel was excellent, with a few restaurants to choose from, although even one would have been more than enough because the quality was good. The major areas of the resort were sometimes crowded, but it was always possible to find a quiet spot to relax. Overall, it was a relaxing and pleasant stay, and I would happily return.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Great Resort, Great Beach!

Big clean beach, with many different activities for kids and adults. Large clean pools, great staff and service. Billiards, Table Tennis, games, water sports (Sea Trike, Kayak, ...) included. Many bars and Buffets with good variety.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Still a great resort

We returned from Barcelo Maya Caribe a week ago, after a 10 day stay. This was our third time at this complex, previous 2 stays were at the Tropical. The grounds are still beautiful and well maintained, although there are less colorful plants around the palm trees than before. Rooms and bathrooms were a bit dated but functional and very clean. We loved the bed sheets! The mini fridge was restocked daily and we always had enough towels in the bathroom . Food in the main dining room was just ok [... read more], not as good as on our previous visits, the choices were limited but we always found something to eat. The food in the main buffet was not warm enough, especially at dinner time. We ended up going to 4 a la carte restaurants: Italian, Mexican, Spanish and Japanese. All were great! We have to mention that the resort is very clean and that service through out the resort, from every department, was excellent - thank you Barcelo! Entertainment team, especially Joseph and Marianne, were awesome. We really enjoyed their energy and effort in including everyone in the games and aqua aerobics in the pool. The pools are amazing, huge and well maintained. Plenty of lounge chairs available around the pools and on the beach. The beach has eroded over the past few years, more rocks and coral on the shore, but still good access to the sea. We recommend wearing water shoes. Would we return there? Yes!

Barcelo Ixtapa: Good luck finding a chair by the pool

The hotel and their staff were great. The only complaint I have is why post a sign that says no reserving chairs and you absolutely nothing to enforce it I literally had to wake up at 7 o’clock in the morning, just so I can get a chair by the pool ….it was ridiculous On most days, I had left the pool by 1:30 to 3 and people that had reserved. The chairs hadn’t even shown up.

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Shame about the food.

The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and the pools are genuinely lovely — plenty of space to relax and enjoy the setting. Unfortunately, the food is fairly mediocre overall, and the booking system for the à la carte restaurants is an absolute joke. It’s frustrating, time-consuming, and feels completely unnecessary for a resort of this size. A nice property let down by its dining experience and an inefficient reservation system.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Great resort!

The food was good, beach is nice, and the pool activities were fun. I loved that the resort itself is small, but all the other Barcelo resorts on the grounds are available and accessible, which gives you so much more to see and do without ever leaving the grounds! We were told about the sea turtles at the pier, but didn’t get to swim up to them because it was too windy. Would definitely come back here again for a longer stay.

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Bad first night

First night had a noisy party going to 12:45 AM. We had 4 adults and 4 children in joining rooms. The adults could not sleep after an all day trip to the resort. Tired after travelling with young children. The night manager would NOT quiet the program. The day manager the next day suggested we use ear plugs to cancel out the noise. This mature suggestion is NOT right! Just wondering how one can hear the children at night with adults having ear plugs.

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Disappointed

Star class was not worth it, you didn’t actually get any benefits . Reservations were easier to get without star class . Room was dirty sheets had feces took them all off and asked for new ones and they put back the ones with feces. We asked for no maid service while we were there . The mjnibar was never stocked. Shuttle to airport didn’t exist cost us $300 us both ways .Lived Tripcentral up until this trip feel like we were scammed going to stick to air Canada vacations
