Platinum Yucatan Princess: Love it here!

This was my second time at this resort, and it didn't disappoint me. I will definitely go back again! The staff is friendly and accommodating. This time we stayed in one of the swim-up rooms and loved it! I would like to say thank you to Bryon and Rogelio in the buffet dining room, Juan in the resort's boutique, Adelaida and Lucita at the Spa, (apologies if I spelled any names wrong). There were many others who made our stay so exceptional, too. The Spa is highly recommended. We loved the Relaxi [... read more]ng massage and the Yucatan massage. They also do couples massages. I recommend bringing water shoes if you want to go in the ocean, since it's more rocky close to shore. You can also walk down the beach and find a place with more sand in the ocean that has tropical fish swimming around. There is plenty of food selection in the buffet, and the à la carte restaurants are good as well. I have a lot of food allergies, so if I can find food to eat, then anyone should be able to. They have premium alcohol at this resort as well. You can be in the noisy, fun area of the resort, or there are places in the resort where you can enjoy a quieter and serene atmosphere. The nightly entertainment is definitely higher-end, nothing compared to Cuba or the Dominican Republic. The rooms and comfy beds are very nicely done, large, clean and comfortable. Honestly, the only complaint I could have is that when we went at the end of December, the pools were chilly because the temperature outside dropped to 60°F every night, which is beyond the resort's control. Decameron La Marina: Decameron la marina

Thank you to the staff as they were excellent. The hotel was clean and well kept. Rooms are spacious. Lobby bar could be kept open later allowing older people to stay away from sports bar.was way too loud .Need to tone the volume down as it echos in design of hotel. Food was hood but needs more variety in evenings from day to day. Use of the other decameron hotels within walking distance is a plus. Would rate it a 3+ stay

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: It was fine

The resort was fine. The grounds were beautiful. Our room was perfectly fine. Shower was good no mould as stated by other reviewers. Because the resort is a family resort I understand that they have to accommodate for kids eating, however, most of the food was not appealing to us. The fruit was adequate however, most of the time it was not ripe enough to eat, the food at the buffets was hardly ever hot. We enjoyed ourselves, but we would not return to the same resort.. also it was frustrating to find out so many people paid so much less for their trip and had much better rooms closer to the beach. We paid the most of anyone we spoke to and our room was the furthest away.

Grand Oasis Riviera: It’s ok for the price

First impressions weren’t great to be honest. No welcome drink, room was hot upon arrival as the AC was off, and our fridge wasn’t working (it was heating drinks instead of cooling them) so needless to say we were in desperate search of a cold drink after checking in and getting to our room. Our fridge was fixed the next day after a reminder to the front desk. Also regarding the fridge: only the water was restocked all week, not the sodas or beer. Back to the negatives: the nightly shows were low-effort and pointless to attend; the staff didn’t seem too happy to be there which makes me think they are either underpaid or treated poorly; the buffet lacks variety (though it’s a small resort so that probably reduces food waste); if you’re a big drinker you may find that there are a lack of bars throughout the resort that stay open all the time (the 2 outside bars are open from 11 am- 6 pm and we later found out that there is 1 bar inside the very quiet lobby that is open at different times) so if you want to avoid people partying then that will be a bonus for you. We had a good vacation but when we come back we will likely avoid this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good resort, so sorry service

We enjoyed the resort itself-the pools, waterpark. But the beach was far away. In order to have access to other resorts and use their bars, pools, waterparks and restaurants, we had to pay extra. We enjoyed the grounds. Staff were not helpful. Lots of confusion. Sometimes we had to ask several times, if you tip, you get better service. Guest services were often not available. Grand Palladium Kantenah: Good resort overall, rooms not great

The resort is fine. Very modern in some senses (app to book restaurants, bracelet key, they aren’t militant about the pool towels, etc.) but the rooms are lacking in most ways. Very little storage (zero drawers), no bathroom counter space (instead there are two sinks which is not necessary). One very tiny garbage. Our safe was broken, they fixed it. We ate at the Italian, Thai, and steakhouse and they are all good, with great service. Airport transfer is easy but SO MANY STOPS, on the way back, the 80km ride took almost 2 hours. Flamingo Cancun Resort: Flamingo

The hotel is older, staff are NOT friendly, seen one staff eat a spoonful of yogurt and put the spoon back in the bowl, this was at the buffet where guests eat…food wasn’t good it’s like it’s recycled from previous nights. No entertainment, main lobby bar closes down at 11:00 pm. No beach chairs, have to use your towel to lay in the beach…I would never go back here or recommend to anyone. Way too much money I would rate this hotel as a 1. Very disappointing.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: A Vacation to Come Back To

We found everything to be clean, upkept and pleasing to the eye. The rooms, grounds, and restaurants were beautiful. The food was better than most all inclusives, the entertainment was fantastic! We definitely recommend and would return.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Good New Year’s

The food at the resort is good and the daytime entertainment was fun! Bartenders were awesome at the adult swim up pool, where I spent most of my time. There are only two nighttime bars that close at 1am- the sports bar didn’t have much for sports and we couldn’t get the fire sticks to work. The rooftop bar was pretty cool. Not much for nighttime entertainment so we went into bucerias for bars and music. Good luck finding a chair on the beach or at the pool. The location on the beach was excellent- walking distance to bucerias and it was safe!

We had a great time. Accommodations were perfect, amenities were very well used by all & food was excellent. Great location for getting around. Only downside was the volume of the music played by the pool, everyone yelling & no one could hear each other, most over heard was WHAT. Other than that great vacation!

This resort has beautiful grounds.The staff were welcome, helpful, warm and friendly. Food was always great and lots of variety from restauranst to buffet and snack bar by the beach. Amazing entertainment at night. Truly left satisfied with all that this resort had to offer from beautiful rooms to friendly staff. Definitely coming back.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Very Disappointing

Food was cold and poor selection. Salad bar always good. Very limited staff everywhere- Canadian Club Rye only 2 days !! Never had this happen any resort in Mexico Few English speaking staff--even bar tenders. Loud speakers We will not return to Grand Decameron Bucerias.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Great Resort!

We stayed at Royalton CHIC Cancun over the New Year’s holiday and had an overall very positive experience. The hotel was kept extremely clean, and the entire property had a signature essential oil scent. While it was pleasant in some areas, it could be a bit overpowering in others. The beach was a standout — pristine, well-maintained, and one of the cleanest resort beaches we’ve experienced. The pool and beach servers were excellent and very attentive; we received great service every single d [... read more]ay, which really elevated our stay. Elevators were unfortunately a bit of a pain. One elevator was down for our entire stay, which led to longer wait times, especially during busy hours. Room service was quick and convenient, though the night menu could use a bit more variety. We had a great time ringing in the New Year at the rooftop event (additional cost), which was fun and well-organized. While many reviews describe this as a party resort, we felt the daytime pool atmosphere could have benefited from better music to match that reputation. The à la carte restaurants were decent but nothing particularly memorable. That said, we really appreciated how accommodating they were in seating our group of six, which isn’t always easy during a busy holiday week. Overall, Royalton CHIC Cancun is a clean, lively resort in a fantastic location with excellent beach and pool service. With a few improvements, it could easily be a 5-star experience, but we would still recommend it for a fun New Year’s getaway.

Moon Palace Cancun: Facilities not too good

The food is amazing, but the facilities are not great. We were to have 3 rooms with either 1 king bed or 2 queen beds, but we had 2 rooms with 2 king bed and the other with one queen bed which was not what we agreed. Also, we stayed in a place called Sombreto and on the 2nd floor. The elevator was did not work throughout our 7 night there and all our luggage's were carried by hand by the staff. The Airconditioning was not cooling even after coming to fix it. Too much emphasis on selling membership. Not a place to go for a 2nd visit.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Would not recommend

It was my first time to Mexico with the last two years at Punta Cana. This resort was disappointing. Very poor and unfriendly staff really stood out. Food was cold everyday at the breakfast bar and restaurants did not compare to anything we went to in punta cana. We still had a good time because we were there with our family but this was not a 4 or 5 star resort.
