Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Jellyfishes destroy my vacation
I love the resort from my first view. The staff met us in the lobby very welcomed.
Check in was very fast and during our stay the receptionists help us any time with any issues quickly.
Entertainments for guests were interesting,
I love food and a la carte restaurants.
Pool was busy because of jellyfish in the ocean. Almous nobody were swimming in the ocean. All guests who tried to swim ithere were stung by those creatures including me and it was very painful. I can have vacation only o[... read more]nce a year and love to stay in salty water all days. Not this time.
I recommend this hotel, but not in the summer, season of jellyfish nesting.
Rooms are spacious and clean.
Again, the staff was amazing, Our maid Aleyda, all staff in the buffets, bar waitresses especially Dorka barman Edgar, get 5 stars.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Love the hotel â¤ï¸
Me and my family was there for 8 days and 7 nights. Our room is amazing, the room attendant is so sweet I forgot to ask her name. When we arrived we wait for almost 2 hrs because our room is not ready yet. Food is amazing everyday is different but my only concern the server is too slowly, I have to ask them if I need coffee or water nobody is asking us what we need. Sometimes I went or go to get my own drinks because if I wait for them I'm going to be thirsty or the kids. Bahia Principe is my fa[... read more]vorite we have a good experience in Mexico, Punta Cana is beautiful also but they have to train their staff about customer service I been many countries in Carribean they don't speak English but they try their best to give customer service as they can but this resort especially the server they have to train them because if not people will not come back there

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice Resort
We stayed for 8 days in a superior junior suite. Room is dated tho we expected that. Service was good but you have to tip first to get a better service at dining and bar. Food at the buffet was repetitive but you wont go hungry. Tipped Housekeeping so service was great always made sure we had sufficient supplies like towels, tissue, water. Water in the pool was warm as it tend to get crowded, service at the bar was slow. Lots of mosquitoes especially at night in the lobby. Overall the hotel is n[... read more]ice, grounds are kept immaculate.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Amazing beach
Overall a very good vacationing spot. The beach is amazing, with lots of palm trees to provide shade. The coral reef is right in front of the hotel's beach so we did lots of snorkelling and fish feeding (my 10 year old was in heaven). We spent probably 85% of our time on the beach in the ocean and then the rest at the pool. The pool is somewhat small for the place it was full most of the time, they do have a second small pool further out between the villas but it was too far to walk too and tend[... read more]ed to be crowded too. Rooms are very dated but clean and that is all that matters. Service mainly good but you can tell that most servers/bartenders were overwhelmed as the resort was full so not all the time you received the best service and had to wait for drinks but they did their best. Food was plenty and good, lots of variety but again the buffet was a bit small for the amount of tourist were there, if you went early you were ok.
A day before our return our beach towels were stolen, we left them out around 6:45 a.m. went for breakfast and came back around 8:00 a.m. (note that we followed what we saw is the practice with reserving your spot, even though the hotel says not to do it, if you did not reserve by 7:15 a.m. most seats were gone at the beach, they had spots at the pool until about 8:00 a.m.). Anyway we went to investigate as we also had personal items (some headbands) on each seat. Apparently it was not removed by security as they would return the towels to the towel place and then notify reception how many towels they collected. It was removed by a tourist as later in the day my niece saw one group was leaving and were short on towels and then another tourist walk over to them and offered them towels as he had extra towels... interesting... well his extra towels cost me US$40 in fine but whatever, I wish in the future will only have this much of "damage" on all our vacations. I would recommend this hotel/place for its beach/ocean for sure.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Save your money and book somewhere else
I booked this hotel for a group of 11 of us for a Bachelorette because Akumal on the other side of the Bahia Principe complex was fully booked…big mistake!! Before we booked we saw plenty of reviews calling it a retirement village, which is okay because with a large enough group you can create a vibe, or go to the other resorts to find something to do, what happened after we arrived couldn’t be fixed by an upbeat attitude. To start with check in, we had to ask the guy checking in for our res[... read more]ervation number to connect to wifi, then we had to ask for a map, in which he told us to scan the QR code for the map that was just a picture and had no information, all he did was hand us our keys and told us the room number was on the key pouch, we asked where the buffet was and you could see he was getting annoyed with our questions. No explanations, or suggestions about what was happening on the resort, we were just left to figure it out on our own. We got to the rooms, looking to tidy up before dinner, ready to start our vacation and to our shock the rooms were dated, falling apart, and dirty. One of the rooms we booked had a leaking toilet that took over a day to have someone sent to fix it, in which we called again and again because the leak wasn’t fixed the first or the second time and they wanted us to pay to upgrade the room as they refused to move us. In another room besides the vents being dirty and air quality so poor it made one of the girls sick, the door sill was not attached to the ground and had nails sticking up. Multiple girls complained about the shower pressure being non-existent, broken safes, dirty sheets (blood spots and various unidentifiable stains), and the AC not working. All of our complaints fell upon deaf ears. The 24 hour snack bar was a joke…we waited 1hr and 40 mins for chicken strips and ended up with chicken chips; small hard and tasteless. One girl ordered pizza and didn’t know what the pizza taste like to this day because WE NEVER RECEIVED IT!! The first night we came back late from dinner at another hotel on the property. 1) we had no clue how to get back to our rooms in the dark, 2) we were all in heels, and the resort is cobblestone 3) it’s literally in a rainforest with a bunch of different animals and critters and poor light we asked for a trolley ride back as we were told we could order a trolley to pick us up to take us to and from our rooms like they do at the other hotels in the complex, we were told no, the trolley is only for check in and out, then we were told the trolleys pass every 15 mins when we called front desk to confirm again, then we were told if the person driving the cart felt like it, was available and we tipped well we could catch a ride. The guy at front desk ended up walking us back to our rooms after going back and forth for over 10 mins because we (repeatedly)let him know how unsafe we felt, as well as had no clue how to get back to our rooms in the day let alone in the night. Mind you there was a guy sitting on the cart obviously not busy smoking and shooting the shxt with his coworkers. The service was terrible; either the staff didn’t care or they were highly misinformed. It’s a shame because the grounds are beautiful. I’ve been to many different resorts, from various hotel chains in many different countries and I’ve never been so let down especially for what was paid!!! As part of the Bahia Principe chain, I have come to rely on/expect a certain level of service and quality, that was clearly not met and I can assure you I won’t be making the same mistake again. Thank you for ruining our stay, and the bride’s bachelorette trip, me and 10 other girls now have quite the story to tell…and I only scraped the tip of the iceberg with this review

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Resort itself is great but beach is lacking blue waters
The hotel itself was great. A lot of variety of food everyday and the grounds kept clean. Lobby bar closes at 11pm and than you have to get drinks from disco bar which could pose issues if you have children with you. Staff at the resort were very friendly and the maid staff wonderful. The beach is not blue waters, it is quite murky and they were jellyfish flags up for the two weeks we were there. We actually went to other beaches via taxi to experience the blue blue waters we were seeking. [... read more]If this hotel was on the Playa Bayahibe side near Dominicus beach it would be perfect. Unfortunately the beach was the ultimate deal breaker for us.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Great Resort
We visited Bahia Fantasia Punta Cana in July 2023. The overall resort is beautiful and enjoyable for the whole family. Our kids really enjoyed the water park and the pool. Our experience upon checking in was not great. We paid extra for a room with a Castle front view, but were disappointed that no such room was available. It would have been decent just to tell us that, but instead they kept us waiting in the lounge for hours after checking in, and gave us the run around because we asked to spea[... read more]k to a representative that could help us out. After a frustrating start, one Rep, Stephanie, finally acknowledged, there are no rooms with castle view because of the growing palm trees and apologized. We finally had someone honest. Be aware about paying extra for upgraded rooms, there is a strong chance they won't be able to fulfill your requests. Putting aside that experience, the resort overall is beautiful. The rooms are well equipped. Room service and housekeeping are great. We had Yvonne who always kept our room well stocked. The buffet was decent. Ruben, who worked at the buffet, was spectacular. He always made sure we were happy. He was super friendly and always had a big smile on his face. We only got to try two different A La Carte restaurants. We were disappointed that we didn't get to try other restaurants either because they were fully booked and with the exception of one, all the other restaurants are in the other resorts or on the beach. You can use the shuttle to get to the other restaurants, but the wait can be very long for the shuttles and the only timings available for the restaurants were either really early in the evening or very late, which meant either you end your day early at the waterpark or the kids fall asleep at the restaurants for late reservations. So, we stuck to the buffet and enjoyed the nightly kid shows. They had fantastic shows every night (superhero night, princess night, lion king drama roleplay). We were impressed and very pleased with the nightly shows. The resort also had three different sections of pools. The main one was always packed and busy. With young kids, we preferred the other two pool sides that were less busy. The downfall with that was bar service was only offered at the main pool. If you spent your days at the waterpark or the smaller pools, then you had to get your own drinks. The castle is right in the middle of the pools, and it was great. Kids can indulge in ice cream and parents can grab their drinks. Overall, it was a great resort and fun place for the kids.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Been here 6 x - this was by far the worst time ! A must read from experience
My stay this time at Siam ka’an was a much different experience this time from all the other times ! The first 5 x excellent hence why I kept going back . But this time, was my first time back since Covid and what a nose dive it has taken. It started with arrival, normally a large travel bus picks you up offering you beer and water and has music going and engaged the whole ride , this time was a small sprinter van that shoved 14 people and our luggage in with no air and a 2 hr bus ride to th[... read more]e resort. Upon arrival we waited 2 hours for our room . The lobby bar used to serve premium booze to their guests ( baileys grey goose , scotch things like that. They no longer do , it’s for a charge to your room , again was never like that before that’s why you’re paying for luxury . The beach got moved because it was full of seaweed and rocks , but the beach they moved to was still very rocky . The beach bar said it opened at 10 but opened up whenever it felt like it and people were waiting around for drinks - even water. They had no water , beer or even pop at times at the bar . The bar staff were completely rude and didn’t care that you were waiting nor did they appreciate tips . They would go on break and leave the bar totally abandoned. We had to serve ourselves sometimes , a first anywhere I’ve been and I travel a lot! The room we rented was a penthouse and they definitely have not been keeping up on the upkeep of the rooms or the grounds - the paint was dull and peeling , the blinds were rusting , And I never saw a grounds person . The staff were not as engaging and friendly as they used to be . The nightly entertainment used to be good ie) dancers people on silks in the lobby performing - there was none of that at all . Very boring at night . Our room didn’t have hot water and only got fixed the day we left . And we spoke to upfront twice about it . I am speaking from experience having been so many times to Siam ka’an 5/6 times were amazing . This time I was highly disappointed and for the cost of $4000 I was expecting what I was used to . So you understand my disappointment ! We kept going back because of all these great things prior to Covid - now I wouldn’t rate it even at a 4.5 it’s a 4 and the only thing keeping it at a 4 star were the al le cart restaurants . They are still too knotch . I don’t think I’ll be going back . Which is sad I loved it here , and recommended to many who have gone . My opinion this time, has soured and this trip was not what I had hoped it’d be . I won’t be returning . Which is sad since I know how amazing it once was . I hope you find this useful before booking .

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great vacation
We had a great time staying at the sian ka'an, and would happily go back! The amazing variety of food options at the à la cartes and buffets kept us so full. We loved having the option to access the other Bahia properties. Make sure to do some research prior to choosing which property to stay at, especially if being right on the beach is a top priority. We found the tram system fairly prompt and very reliable. There are absolutely impeccable staff members throughout all of the resort as well. N[... read more]o one was ever too busy to lend a hand or answer a question. I wish I had known more about the activities happening on the other properties earlier in the trip, so that I could have explored and ventured out even more! Lots to do for next time!
Everything was absolutely beautiful! Latoya and Carlyle at the pool bar were simply amazing! Nashville who helped us to our room was the nicest person ans always stopped to say hello in passing as well.
The resort was clean and comfortable.
The only thing we had trouble with was our air condition that was not working properly. Other guests we met said their rooms were freezing cold, however we did not have comfortable sleeps at night as the air-conditioner did not cool the room well at all. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Bad attitude
I have traveled a lot, and I have been to this resort a couple of times, and the attitude there is getting so much worse. I brought family with me, and I was so embarrassed. There were a few kind and professional people. But most of the staff was rude and acted like they hated there job. Miserable and disrespectful. We came in so happy but by the time we left I swear the attitudes were rubbing off on us. It's the only class of people that act like they hate to work. Guess what guys...here in C[... read more]anada we have to work to and sometimes alot more tougher jobs. I pray to God you get over this " Slave mentality." We all have to work hard. Bahia Principe Explore Legend: So so
The resort is big and you can walk or take the golf cart. Decent size pool and kids pool. However, services are so so - majority of the staff are rude. The Italian restaurant was very slow - after waiting for 1 hr 1/2 still no food was reserved. The front desk service was very slow and gives preference to spanish speaking guests even though you are in front of the line.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: amazing resort
I loved everything about the hotel. From how we were welcomed to how we were treated ( specially Jason G. the Buttler who I will highly recommend because he did an amazing service, Lory the waitress that attended to my room(26704) during my stay and everyone on duty for my room's services. Room cleaning was always impeccable.
The hotel is really beautiful more than I really expected. I loved the entertainment teams, the food quantity and variety is a plus too.
the little small issue I will[... read more] say sometimes, the food room service can be a little bit late at times but they are doing their best. I understood.
Another little small issue is refusing the guest entry for a late arrival for a la carte restaurant, if they can be a little bit understanding for maybe up to a 30 minutes late arrival.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Fantasia the Dream Palace for kids!
Date: June 2023.
We loved this resort! From arrival to departing the children enjoyed every bit and can't wait to return. The food selections for picky eaters were great, the grounds were well kept, staff were courtious and tried their best to help when they could, night entertainment was perfect, kids club staff was great in keeping the kids busy (painting, crafts, feeding the fishes, baking cookies etc)
Considering time of year, sea weed was an issue on the beach with high tides..
The p[... read more]roperty itself was very old though, so would benefit from updates to the rooms, their sewage system. Our last two days we had no AC and was difficult to sleep in the heat. Reached out to reception but was unable to rectify before we left.
Overall we had a great stay and even though things weren't perfect, we loved it and would return
We stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe.
Grounds are kept very clean. The pools are awesome! Beaches are clean. Restaurants good food! Service excellent!
The only comment I have is lack of entertainment - there are entertainment but not throughout the day. So we had to go to the neighbouring Grand Bahia Principe to join some fun and games.
But overall, I would still go back to this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Small hotel feel, bigger hotel options
Hotel in the jungle. Super lush. It felt like I was at a small hotel, not a factory-sized hotel.
Buffet was good and the Alux restaurant was astonishing.
Travel to the beach and other hotels was simple and quick
