Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Amazing resort ,awesome beach and staff that were always willing to please.

The Riu palace Costa Mujeres was amazing , the resort was very modern ,and clean ,food was good ,something to suit everyone’s taste. The liquor was all top shell and bar staff always willing to please. The added bonus of having service on the beach was a nice surprise. Speaking of beach ,it was spectacular, beautiful soft white sand and level grounds, sand was firm enough at the waters edge to walk easily .Water was warm and little to no seaweed. The only downfall some may find is the distance from excursions, but for us it wasn’t an issue since we were content staying put and enjoying the resort. For us the big issue is the flight times out of Ottawa heading south, typically always late arrivals and brutal return departures....having to be out of your room early then not flying out until late evening and landing in Ottawa at 3 in the morning . Feels like you really only have 5 days at 5he resort and came home exhausted. Hope Sunwing will look into better times for us flying from Ottawa.

Occidental Tucancun: Great vacation

We had a great time at this resort. Food was good at buffets and a la Cartes. Lots of bars, so no line ups. Most staff were very friendly. Very clean resort. Pools were great. We could always get chairs. Awesome beach, but needs umbrellas or palapas for shade. They have none. Front desk service was very slow in every way from check in to questions. Expect to wait. Definitely recommend ocean view with balcony. Street side faces a mall and has noisy fans.

Temptation Resort & Spa: Amazing Resort

Absolutely the most fun and exciting couples resort to experience! Non stop fun, sexy and entertaining vibe at a this beautiful resort! Atmosphere, rooms, food,staff and entertainment top notch! Better to be with a spouse or crowd and not go single. Not a resort for the not so open minded, shy or jealous type😉 Had a fantastic vacay and would definitely recommend this resort!

Beach Palace: Beautiful family resort

The resort is beautiful, bartender were so friendly, the staff at the front desk can be a little more friendly, had a small issue with our rooms, but the next day was fixed. Booked a tour with our credit that we received which was great, but the people that are selling the tours are not as well informed on certain things. Basically the dolphin tours, we were told no pictures were allowed and we couldn't' really see the girls hanging out with the dolphin, but you can see them, i was even able t [... read more]o zoom in my camera to catch pictures. Also, our air transit guy that we were suppose to meet the first day there to get our time of departure from the hotel never showed up and no one at the hotel knew when we could meet up again with him, so i finally went tot he front desk and asked if they had a binder with the info, and low and behold they did. The food was good, the dessert were the best i have ever had at a all inclusive resort, the entertainment staff during the day were good, the shows at now, not that great. The biggest thing i would say about this is resort is definitely a family resort, if i would have gone with adult only i would have been disappointed but we were there with two teenager and it was great!.

Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: AMAZING RESORT AND INCREDIBLE STAFF

We just got back from one of our favourite resorts weve ever been too. Panama Jack Cancun is amazing. Great food, very clean, beautiful clean beach, the friendliest, and most accommodating staff i have experienced on a resort. The entertainment and shows were incredible. The entertainment crew was so amazing; Definetly the best. Also, the kids club; Camp Jack was also amazing. The staff in there were the nicest. My daughters couldnt wait to go back everyday; some days had to “beg” them to leave. All the staff made you feel at home and like family. I could honestly go on and on about this resort. I honestly dont have anything negative to say. I guess the only thing i can think of is the Air in the room was a bit dry. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!!! Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Overall great, outstanding room!

While this hotel still has growing pains to settle, overall we had a great experience. ROOMS: amazing! We were in a loft suite and this was a game changer with a baby. We knew we would be spending allot of time there so having the 2 floors meant we could still enjoy the room while the baby was sleeping. Only things that could have made it better are 24hr room service and a room with an oceanview (assigned at random). FOOD/ DRINKS: best part was definitely the coffee shop! A new must when [... read more] picking resorts. The indian restaurant was a favorite as well. 24hr room service would have been useful when arriving late in the evening . The resport is really big, takeout wasn’t an option and we had a baby that needed to sleep. This lack of flexibility was super inconvenient. BEACH was good, never a problem getting chairs, waiter service was good as well. POOLS: baby loved the kids pool. It was the perfect size for her and she enjoyed the different jets. Water was warm as well. The beach pool was nice, quiet and warm. It was a nice depth as well. Again, good waiter service. Lots of chairs. SPA treatments were good and the healthy bar has good smoothies. OVERALL: we enjoyed the resort. It was new, clean, great personable staff. We did find the service quite inconsistent, at times rigid and a lack of communication amongst staff. For example, sometimes we could bring our stroller on the boat, sometimes not, laundry wasn’t picked up (night staff hadn’t communicated), we weren’t given the imperial club perks until we asked and even then, we were told diff things as to how to apply them. When we arrived just after after 11pm with a young child they told us of we wanted to eat we had to walk or take the golf cart 10 mins away for a sit down meal. No room service, no snacks and no takeout. Seemed very rigid. We were also promised a room change on day 3 when it was available but it was then given to someone else. The boat and golf cart services were also not reliable and consistent. Some nights there were mosquitoes so bug spray is useful. These were all pretty minor inconveniences but meant we spent more time at reception than we wanted. Overall, great resort!

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Fabulous experience

Just returned from a fabulous week spent at the Riu Palace Isla Mujeres in Cancun...it was a trip that we will never forget, the hotel was fabulous, ultra modern, so clean... The staff work tirelessly keeping it spotless, hotel amenities all wonderful, food was spectacular, staff friendly, a very relaxing wonderful resort for young and old....highly recommend this resort, beaches were fabulous and the bar service at the pools and beach were wonderful

Atelier Playa Mujeres: Very Nice Resort

Having read earlier reviews we were concerned about long restaurant line-ups and difficulty finding loungers at the pool. Fortunately for us neither issue was a problem. This may be partly due to a relatively low occupancy rate (roughly 35% during our week stay in late January). The resort is absolutely beautiful and very tastefully decorated. The food at all of the restaurants is top notch. We especially enjoyed Cillento and Los Abrazos. Also the coffee at Alba Atelier is fantastic. A small cri [... read more]ticism is that on any given night you can not determine if Los Abrazos is doing it’s a la carte service or Brazilian night without checking with the restaurant. Lastly, at the end of our week we both became ill. We’re not sure of the source but it unfortunately put a damper on an otherwise amazing vacation

Riu Caribe Cancun: beautiful resort

we had a great time at the Riu couldn't ask for anything better the rooms were very spacious and the whole resort was spotless the food was outstanding and the beach was beautiful the only disappointment was the balcony we had an oceanview room and the balconies are very small triangular shaped, but the outstanding view made up for it would I come back to this resort? any time

TRS Coral: Good resort

This was a nice place, well kept and helpful staff. Food was good in all the restaurants we went to. Very quiet around the pool on TRS side. Could play better more upbeat music at the pool. Have a little bit better activities other the water aerobics. Doesn’t need to be full on party but get volleyball going or some fun trivia.

Iberostar Selection Coral Cancun: Very nice resort

We booked an Air Canada Vacations package in Sept. 2019 through tripcentral.ca that included a free room upgrade to superior level and included Carefree package. We selected our seats (row next to window) at that time. When it came to check-in online we found that our seats had been changed to ones we did not want (middle row). Air Canada changed them on us without notifying us. At the airport the agent claimed that AC should have notified tripcentral of this change and they should have notified [... read more] us, preferably in time for us to change back to ones we preferred. Our flight there was not acceptable as the middle passenger I had to sit next to a young mother with an active/noisy toddler the whole flight. This experience has made me question whether we should continue to book with third parties or just go direct to ACVacations to avoid this problem in future. At the resort: We've stayed at 9 other Iberostar resorts plus several other brands in 18 years of travelling to all inclusive resorts. We found the staff at this resort to be the most friendly, helpful and available of any resort we've been to. The resort is very close to the airport which is a great change from the 1-2 hour bus rides we have had to other resorts. Rooms are very nice, modern, clean. Large walk-in rain shower. Jacuzzi tub on balcony we never used. Quiet AC. Excellent view of sunrise, pool, beach from our room on 12th floor. Maid service in morning and at night. Excellent drink service everywhere including beach and pool deck. Rarely a wait at any of the bars or snack bar. Beach: Beautiful to look at but difficult to take long walks on, sloped next to water and very soft on top. The water is amazingly clear even with heavy waves. Facilities: A variety of good quality chairs, lounges, beds around pool and on beach. Unfortunately all prime spots are "reserved" as early as 7AM every day but unoccupied...no enforcement by staff. We visited the pool at the Iberostar Select only once and found that whole area not to our taste, the pool not very accessible for people with mobility issues and all the ramps, steps, and different levels a problem for similar reasons. After that we only visited that part of the resort for the a-la-carte restaurants. Food: Buffet breakfast and lunch and poolside snack bar all have a good variety of good fresh food. The hamburgers outside are the best we've had at any resort. The a-la-cartes are mostly good but nothing really impressive. Some "fancy" offerings at the gourmet restaurant were a bit odd, other things quite good. The usual stuff at the japanese. The steakhouse was surprisingly good...nice food presentation of all courses. We were all happy with our meals there. The mexican restaurant was very disappointing. First the menu did not accurately describe the meals. Most of the tacos all looked the same when brought out, i.e. a bit of shredded mystery meat on 3 small colored tortillas. Before ordering our meals, a man came to our table with some kind of ID badge on his shirt asking for our first names. He did not tell us why. We assumed, incorrectly, this was part of the "Mexican fiesta party" that was supposed to be happening there that night (which turned out only to be a Mariachi band wandering thru the restaurant once). This man later returned to our table handing out cheap little pictures with our names written on them, asking for $5 each so he can support his family. This is worse than the people selling stuff on the beach because he tricks you and then guilts you into paying him. The resort should not permit this activity in this or any of its restaurants/facilities. Star Prestige Lounge/wine selection: It seems a lot of people don't understand that people staying at the Coral Level can access this lounge or order good quality wines off of the Star Prestige wine list available in every restaurant. Some of the staff in these restaurants may be a bit confused about this too but I believe we are allowed to order one full bottle of good wine per room per day at no extra charge. You can instead just pick up this bottle or sample it in the lounge or pick up a glass full there and take it wherever you want. We were surprised to hear some people complaining about the quality of the table wine served in the restaurants (it was not very good wine) when they could have been ordering better stuff any time. Unfortunately my wife and I were both sick our last night at this resort. Some kind of food poisoning but we cannot with any certainly identify the food that caused it. We ate only at the Coral level buffet for breakfast and lunch that day but by late afternoon we were both feeling so ill we could not eat dinner. We were sick all night. Symptoms were similar for both of us including headache, stomach cramps, severe bloating, nausea, chills, vomiting or diarhea. The next day the only thing we could eat or drink was water, bread and bananas. Not a nice way to spend our last day there. We have read that any food can be contaminated including the nuts and seeds we both had on our porridge that morning. We are certain our illness was not due to "tequila flu". We commend Iberostar for all of its environmental initiatives. We will look for this at any resort we stay at from now on.

Royal Solaris Cancun: Great Resort

Just returned from a stay at Royal Solaris. We had a super time, older hotel but well maintained. This is our second visit to this hotel. Service was excellent, Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean, also pool area. Lots of activities around pool and a show every night. Meals were tasty and lots of variety. We hope to return for a third visit. Good value

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Great Resort

Beautiful resort. Very well layout. One of the nicest rooms ever seen and beautiful walkout pools.High quality drinks. Excellent choice of food and desserts. Friendly staff eager to please.Really nice beach with no vendors to harass you. I would highly recommend!

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Riu Palace in Costa Mujeres

Beautiful, very clean resort. Staff very friendly and always helpful. Comfy bed and nice rooms/balcony. Clean shady beach. Always can find a shaded area around the pool if you want to stay out of the sun. Food was fantastic. We were abit far from the city so you can’t leave the resort unless you go on excursions or take the bus(which is free) My only complaint was that our balcony faced the other hotel and we could hear the machines that provided power for the a/c. We asked for a room change t [... read more]he next day and they allowed us choices of rooms that faced the courtyard which were surprisingly quiet. We were even able to sleep with the balcony doors open. We were very pleased with our 7 day stay at Riu Place.

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: 5* Vacation!!

Resort was beautiful, food 5/5, drinks 5/5! Our butler Alberto was super helpful when we needed him and actually ran into us a few times during the week and asked if we needed anything. Beach was beautiful. Jesus by the catamarans took us out for an amazing ride and we even got to see some sea turtles and jump off the catamaran. The service, although slow at times was great. Royalton CHIC Cancun: Overall good

Good stay overall. Staff was lovely, hotel is only a year old and already showing signs of wear. Beach is well taken care of and clean. Only downside is the hounding to by shares by staff - it’s ongoing and quite annoying!

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Amazing!

Great resort, beautifully kept. Pools and beach are lovely. Good for food allergies. Good variety of food, very good service with friendly staff. Desserts could be a bit better, but gelato made up for it. Overall great family vacation.

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Excellent

Nice hotel layout and beautiful grounds. Great choice of restaurants. The food was above average for an all inclusive and the service was outstanding. The beach was very nice and there was always a p/ace to sit under an umbrella. The gym was great with a very friendly and knowledgeable personal trainer present at all times. Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Wonderful Family Vacation

We stayed at Panama Jacks in Cancun with our 2 and 4 year old daughters. The resort was fantastic, it was so clean and the pools were warm and had a nice shallow area for the kids. The beach was beautiful with excellent sand and the water was clear blue with no seaweed. Never a problem getting a chair at the beach or pool. Rueben was great at the Ventana buffet for breakfast and lunch. The resort staff were also friendly and accommodating. Everyone had a smile on their face. We loved the Coffee Bar the latte's were really Starbucks quality. My 4 year old loved the Kids Camp and would go for a couple hours a day to do bracelets, decorate cookies, spa day and other activities. Panama Jacks is conveniently only 25 minutes from the airport. which is nice with Kids. We highly recommend Panama Jacks, it was such a great resort and we had a wonderful family vacation.
