Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Lovely resort!

I very much enjoyed my stay at Grand Bahia Principe resort. People working at the resort are friendly and welcoming, the resort is beautiful, very well maintained, rooms are clean and food is great and most importantly the sea, sand and the Sun!

Catalonia Yucatan: It was great bigger and better, nice place ,,,,,

Everything was good, enjoyed our food and hospitality,,,,the weather was good also , met some great friends,pools were nice , had a great time,we were there 5 yrs ago ,lots of changes ,they did a nice job : very clean and safe area , will go back again later in future,,,,,,!,,,,,,

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful

The resort is lovely and the staff are very accommodating. We enjoyed our a la carte dinners very much and the buffets has a great selection. The wait staff are very friendly and do everything they can to make your vacation pleasant. Norma in the kids club was amazing and the kids loved going daily just to say hi. She was great about them coming for an hour here and there and made the kids feel welcome. The beach had a problem with seaweed when we were there so it wasn’t as nice to look at as  [... read more]usual. The men worked very hard to clear the seaweed daily but it was never ending. My only complaint is that after 11pm you can’t so much as get a coffee unless you go to hacienda and with kids that wasn’t always possible. There is a 24 hr snack bar that we used once but the selection of food/drinks is very limited. It would have been nice to grab a drink or two in the lobby to have on our balcony while kids slept but everything is closed and they even turn the coffee makers off. Overall great experience, friendly staff, clean, warm pools great food and will likely return.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Not the best we have stayed at.

Bad start because of our travel rep. Not resorts fault. Resort is nice but....... Most rooms only have 2 small beds. Our first room over looked barbed wire fence!! Then we had to upgrade which cost us an additional$500.00 U.S! For a king size suite! They wanted$ 1000.00. Our rep said she could get us upgrade because she was a Karrisma rep! Then we had a lunch restaurant to look at. Fine until you see worker with mask on spraying restaurant! Next thing you know we have dead cockroaches on our pa [... read more]tio!! Would never go back or recomend. If you are use to walking in for breakfast to a big buffet!! Not happening! Wait in line. You have to be seated and if you are part of the privaledged club they get to go ahead of you!! Best part was bar staff and servers!! Entertainment staff was also great!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Very nice hotel and tripcentral rocks

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandos Caracol resort. Couldn’t have asked for a better hotel for family and kids. Very nice rooms, good food and lots of activities for kids and best of all, a great water park. Sunquest was our tour provider and they also offered exceptional service. Thank you Beth Mckinley from Trip central for taking the time to make our vacation a memorable one.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great stay

My husband and I stayed at the hideaway from Mar 2 - 9 2018. We had the diamond club package. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. There were some nit picky things that i will mention below, but overall this was the nicest resort i have ever, and likely will ever stay at. To keep things easy i have done pro and con lists. Rooms (we stayed in 2405 and 1425) Pros: - Very clean - Comfortable beds - Large nice shower and separate room for the toilet - Roof top patio wi [... read more]th hot tub was cool (1425) - Faced the mangroves which didn't make any noise (2405) Cons: - Not very sound proof to the halls - Mangroves smelled and there was construction going 24/7 to the left (2405) - Faced the pool which was loud until approx 10pm every night (1425) - Jacuzzi's spit out a lot of black stuff from the jets (1425 and 2405) Grounds Pros: - Very well maintained - No bugs, i saw 2 mosquitoes the whole trip. No flies or flying bugs buzzing around lights. Cons: - Very large. If you have any mobility issues just know there is a lot of walking required. - The hideaway is on the far end, buffet is in the middle and restaurants are spread across the resort. Only one restaurant in the hideaway section. Food Pros: - Fantastic!! - Lots of restaurant options. - The ocean point Chateaubriand was the best steak i've ever had in my life, and our server Daniel Olan was awesome. - Buffet had tons of options, food was always good there. Cons: - Had to send steaks back as i usually get medium rare at home, but when i ordered that here they came out rare. No issues with sending them back though. - Beach buffet didn't have signs out saying what each dish was. Not great for people with allergies. Staff Pros: - Our butlers Celia and Kepler were phenomenal. They always made sure we had what we needed, decorated our room, chatted with us about places to go and things to see. Their service was much appreciated. - Reception was helpful and check in and out went smoothly - Everyone was very friendly and happy to help if asked. Cons: - Not everyone was easy to communicate with, but i don't speak any Spanish. So that's no fault of the resort. It just made things tricky from time to time. But most staff spoke English very well. Pool Pros: - Clean - Rule about not reserving chairs was great, and no smoking in pool area was so appreciated - Pool staff was attentive and helpful, would put towels on your chairs for you, or get you an umbrella, or move your chairs for you - Attentive servers to get you drinks or food to your chairs Cons: - Hard to get into sometimes as someone with limited mobility as chairs crowd the entrances - Could be hard to find a chair sometimes despite no holding rule - Drunk adults were extremely obnoxious, loud, and just a sheer embarrassment to themselves. I was appalled by the behavior that some of these "grown ups" displayed. Would be nice to be able to cut off or evict them like you could at any bar back home Beach Pros: - Nice sand - Not as busy as the pool - Servers to get you drinks Cons: - A lot of seaweed. I knew this might be an issue but was shocked at how much there actually was The weather was fantastic, 28 and sunny every day except the last which had on and off rain. Overall we were very happy with our stay. We would definitely go again if we could.

Hyatt Ziva Cancun: Perfection

We stayed at the Hyatt ziva Cancun turquoise tower for 7 days. The unique location in the hotel zone is the one of the main reasons I booked here for our honeymoon. As guest in the turquoise tower, the hotel provide complimentry shuttle service from the airport. Upon arrival to the hotel, we met our Butler, Joel, he turned our honeymoon into something magical with all kinds of surprises. The level of service he provided exceeded all expectations. The room is very stylish with great views. The be [... read more]ach is probably the best in Cancun because they blocked off all the big ocean waves. The restaurant and bar have elevated designs, but I feel like the food can be improved as they are a bit plain. All in all, this is a amazing hotel and I would recommend it to all my friends

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Impressive!

The hotel was a pleasant surprise because it was exactly as advertised. Upon our arrival, we quickly realized this was more than we expected. The staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds were well maintained and you didn't even notice the staff who worked professionally at their tasks. The food was appetizing with a large selection of salads, fruits and main courses. If you love walking the beach, you can walk for hours. Definitely would return and recommend to friends and family.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Wonderful resort!

We loved this resort. The pools were great. The service was amazing! The food at the buffet was suprisingly great. The rooms were spacious, cleaned every day and the min-bar restocked every day. We would recommend getting Royal Golden package to get the little extras. We also went swimming with the dolphins on site which was a great experience and the price was the lowest I have ever seen. I would completely recommend this resort to all my family and friends. The only issue was th [... read more]e beach which is full of seaweed. This is true in ALL Riviera Maya and it is just mother nature. At the resort, they are always trying to get rid of the seaweed. We were there with 2 adults and three children.

Canto Del Sol: Great Choice

This resort felt like home away from home. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful from the maids to the bellboys, the waiters to reception. The hotel is off the main street making it quiet and restful, the grounds are lovely and the entire resort is clean and well kept. Dining was very pleasant, the food was not exceptional, but quite acceptable. This resort has a very Mexican flavour which is exactly what we were looking for.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Dreams Purertro Aventuras

I had a wonderful time. The staff was all so kind, including the entertainment group. The housekeeping was outstanding at keeping everything clean. I had such a wonderful week at the resort and will return to visit them all again. We only had one problem and that was the person who stocked the fridge. We had bought some beer of our own and he saw it in our fridge and he did and would not leave any of what he was supposed to stock our fridge with. that really upset me. Marquis Los Cabos: Loved Marquis Los Cabos!

We have travelled and stayed in several resorts all over Mexico ranging from very large to smaller boutique properties. We would highly recommend Marquis. The resort is lovely with ocean views from every room, the pools and restaurants. The staff really care and it shows. The hotel is constantly being cleaned. It is an adults only resort and is a quieter experience. We loved it. They had activity planned every day and during the evenings. Food was great! We loved the beach, even though the water [... read more] is unswimmable. There is construction next to the hotel on the left but we were moved to middle of the hotel with no issues. We plan to go back soon!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very nice resort

Accommodations were very good and resort very clean. Staff excellent and very friendly. Plenty of pools to choose from. The two a la carte restaurants I found the food to be excellent were the French (gourmet) and Brazilian. If you like beaches for swimming this is not the place to go. The week we were there they were constantly cleaning seaweed from the water. All in all I would say between a 7 or 8 out of 10.

Grand Riviera Princess: Great Resort other than one staff member

Had a great time, resort was amazing, staff were all good with the exception of this one person named Jerry who works at the front desk. My key to my room was not working and he sent me back to my room a total of 4 times (over the course of an hour very late at night) with a key that was supposed to work but it didn't. I had to insist that he send me with a staff member so i could simply get into my room to sleep. Very rude and unhelpful as if me wanting to get into my room was a problem for  [... read more]him. Second occasion my girlfriend had sprained her ankle. Security staff was very helpful in assisting her, getting ice, crutches etc. Jerry did nothing and was extremely rude and unhelpful just like the first time. Resort was excellent but Jerry not so much. This is too bad as my bad experience with him is one of the things I remember about this trip. Otherwise the resort and staff were excellent. Just a bad apple it seems.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Beautiful

Everything was top notch from the rooms to the pool and the service, only thing that was disappointing was the beach. The rooms were the biggest we have ever been in and cleaned two times a day. Food was excellent.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very good resort, Beaches poor

The room we stayed in was the Junior Suite Superior Royal Golden and very clean and spacious. The grounds are well manicured and very pretty. The al la carte restaurants were very good, the only one we did not care for was the Mexican. We had four al la carte restaurants a week, we were there for two weeks. If we did not have those the food at the buffet we would have got very tired of, it was mostly lukewarm. If you don't mind just using the pools, which are very nice, I would recommend  [... read more]this hotel. The beaches were rocky and there was so much seaweed. The have trucks there hauling it away and it smells. We love the beach and did not go in once as it was smelly and rocky. It is only because of the beaches that I would not recommend this hotel.

El Cid Resort Castilla: Wonderful staff and beautiful setting!

This was a wonderful vacation spot and we loved the proximity to the city. The staff was friendly and the beach was beautiful. The breakfasts and lunches were great but the dinners were just average, especially if you are not a meat eater. Overall we had a lovely time on our first vacation with our 7 month old baby :)

Ocean Maya Royale: Amazing Staff

Grounds very well kept. Clean cared for well. No complaints however it should be noted that the resort is a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. We enjoyed the.variety of food offered and were pleased with housekeeping. Cudos to the amazing entertainment staff who.truly went above and beyond to help make a memorable stay.

Allegro Cozumel: 3 star

We had a seemless check in and the staff were pleasant upon arrival. The grounds are beautiful and the pools were as well. The majority of the staff were very nice and quite friendly. The manager, Elvis, was less than helpful. I found he was not willing to make any exceptions at all. We approached him when it was literally raining in our room. We spent a few hours cleaning up the mess and moving things around. We let the front desk know and the next day we spoke with Elvis. We requested we wer [... read more]e given a late check out as we spend time on our vacation cleaning up their mess. He would not budge at all. We were given absolutely nothing for the trouble. I just found this a little perplexing as our room was soaked, our luggage was wet, our bed was wet etc. Housekeeping did come and change our bedding however there was a significant inconvenience and it wasn't acknowledged. The other aspects of the hotel: the pool and beach are just amazing. The staff in the restaurants were fabulous. The food in the a la carts I found to be quite good. I liked the menu and the quality of the food. The buffet however was tired. They need to update the food options and improve on the quality. I need to say that I am not a picky person however there were aspects of this resort that were disappointing. I hope that management make improvements to this resort as it would be difficult for me to recommend this resort based on my experience. I am also surprised that Sunwing isn't aware of these concerns based on the number of people that expressed concerns that were on our flight, there had to be previous concerns noted.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Nice and relaxing adults-only resort

Overall this hotel is very nice. I would rate it as a 4 star. It's a smaller resort which some prefer. The rooms are updated and kept clean (no issues with toilets or showers etc.) The food at the resort is pretty great. The buffet quality and selection is on par for a 4 star resort. The a la carte restaurants have awesome food and it's nice that they don't require reservations. Aroma and Tao were our favourites. You have the option to use the restaurants at the sister resort however you must ma [... read more]ke a reservation in advance to use them. The entertainment staff at the resort are awesome and so kind. We encountered several lovely servers, resort staff and cleaners during our stay however we had an unpleasant experience with the Plaza bar tender, Daniel. He was incredibly rude, did not listen to your order, rolled his eyes and made comments when you asked for anything specific. It was almost hard to believe he was in the service industry. He gave the impression that he hated what he was doing. Other than the one minor issue, the resort is great and the grounds are beautiful. This resort does not have a good beach, however you can travel just a short distance down the beach to the sister resort and use their chairs. We didn't stay in a room with a swim-out room but after seeing them and how convenient they are, we would recommend upgrading to the swim-out. Drinks can be served right to your swim-out area. For the right price I would definitely return.
