Marina Fiesta Resort and Spa: Location, food and room 10+
Fantastic views and walking distance to everything. The All-inclusive gave us access to amazing meals along the Marina Golden Zone. Jacks was our favourite. Ribs and steaks are amazing. Service was friendly and above the norm. We had a 1 bedroom suite that was huge. A wrap around balcony view of the pool and the Marina. Full kitchen with stove ,frig, microwave and coffee pot. Large living room with a flat screen tv. 2 full bathrooms with showers. Large bedroom with 2 queen beds and a flat screen [... read more]
Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Marival as good as ever!
This was our third time to the Marival. We came back because of the beautiful property, excellent restaurants and friendly service. Wonderful location, perfect size resort. We especially enjoyed our daily happy hour visit to the M & M bar. Our server, Judith made our experience special. She was very friendly and attentive. Our favourite memory is of her playful way of teaching us Spanish! We hugged her good-bye our last night! We miss the adult pool and the long walks on the beach already!!
Grand Oasis Riviera: wow too much
this resort was awesome, from our arrival late Friday night the service was great the staff friendly the food was amazing.Thank you Mexico thank you Grand Oasis Tulum we will visit again likely in Feb/Mar 2020.
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great stay
The hotel is so much nicer than it looks in pictures. The grounds were clean and tropical. As soon as you walked in they offered a drink with the friendliest smile. All the workers were there to help and lend a hand. The rooms were nice however the air conditioning wasn't able to be changed. The pools were clean and the water was a perfect temperature. The food was always really good and there was always many options. Overall I had a blast!
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda
The beach was horrible, full of seaweed in the water as apparently the machine that cleans the ocean was broken during high peak season. There was a 24 hour bar open which lead to the problem of vacationers coming to their hotel rooms at all hours of the night and early morning hours. The doors and hallways are very loud and do not keep out the outside noise. Only had 1 night of actual complete sleep as I was unfortunate to encounter families who let their children bounce balls against the room [... read more]
The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Great for Families!
Very beautiful and clean grounds, food was excellent. Our room was great for our family of 3, had everything we needed for our 18 month old (crib, booster seat, change table, stroller). The Essence section is nice and quiet, easy to put our 18 month old down for naps and to bed. Hotel consists of 18 villas and many pools, very spread out, lots of walking so having a stroller was great. Wouldn't be the best for groups as all the pool sections and restaurants are fairly small, not a problem fo [... read more]
Barcelo Maya Colonial: Nice family resort
The resort was very clean and service was great. The maid service was fantastic. The play area for toddlers was just fantastic. Our little granddaughter just had so much fun. I think though the internet should be included in the room.
Unico 20 87 Hotel Riviera Maya: Fantastic resort
One of our best vacations. We had a swim up pool King room. Great space, comfortable. Pools are heated. Food is absolutely amazing. Staff went above and beyond. Golfing at the Hard Rock course was fun and challenging. Would definitely go back.
Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: A "Mixed" Review
Sandos Caracol Eco Resort was lovely overall. The staff were friendly and efficient consistently; we were impressed. What we we were NOT impressed with was being woken every single morning at around 5 am (!) as staff arrived for work, often chatting loudly and often pushing noisy carts. Our rooms were classified as "A1" yet we felt very substandard - and, needless to say, absolutely exhausted! To be fair, I do want to give 4 -> 5 stars but this impacted us hugely and makes it difficult to [... read more]
Occidental Cozumel: Beautiful Resort,very calm.
The personnel is warm and very helpful, always welcoming. The grounds are very well maintained. Our room was the best one I have had in a long time while traveling in the Caribbean, in terms of cleanliness and having all the necessary items available, everything worked well (toilet, shower, air conditioning), the bed was very comfortable. We used the back balcony a few times. It is very close to the forest, we saw or heard many birds singing. There was not many mosquitoes when we were there. [... read more]
Royal Solaris: Perfect vacation
This hotel is very clean, friendly and nearly had next to nothing for vendors on the beach while we were staying there. I would recommend staying there. The only bad thing I could think of is you can’t access some of there areas without a membership bracelet but besides that everything went super smooth. The staff were friendly and came by from time to time refilling our drinks and seeing if we are happy. They don’t push for tips as much as I thought they would so that’s good. Overall this [... read more]
Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: A Step Up
Everything exceeded expectations, views, facilities, common areas, pools, the room it was all great. Staff are awesome and always helpful and friendly, never had to wait for anything and the food was the best we have had. Everything exceed expectations and can not complain about anything. We went knowing the beach was not great, but they try and that our "ocean view" was decent but not a "true ocean view" because we upgrade to preferred.
Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: fair resort
the food, rooms, hotel staff were great. the grounds were nice except for the sidewalks which have uneven concrete with 2 inch spaces inbetween that causes tripping hazards.i seen a couple people stub there toes and I tripped once myself. the beach is way to rocky and not much swimming area. the seaweed was terrible and they would try to clean it up in the morning when people were arriving and the smell was gross. the entertainment at the sky bar was bad from 7-9 almost put you to sleep and the m [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: very good resort
excellent service, nice personal contact, food No1 and great accommodation . Only bad mark is for the fact that twice in a raw we had seaweeds. This is our 3 rd time visit in Grand Bahia Coba and twice in Grand Bahia Jamaica. Simply we like Grand Bahia Principe. I love to run on the beach (It was almost not possible because seaweeds ). We most of time spent at pool.
Secrets Playa Mujeres: A little to far off the beat and track
There is no real grounds area. Main restaurants too far away, have to take shuttle, when raining very unpleasant. Room was good only after moving twice. They do not offer single room rates. Beach fair as too much overgrowth around beach brought in animals and bugs.
Zel Cozumel: Wonderful Resort Feb 23-Mar 9/18
This was an incredible vacation for us. The resort was on the most beautiful white sand beach on the island. Our room was in the tower #905. It was very large and the bed was just as comfortable as home. The spacious balcony was perfect. We had a view that we will never forget. The staff would go out of their way to please. Wonderful people. The swim up bar was awesome, with lots of beach chairs and clean, warm water. The second pool was also lovely. (Kids section). The food was alway [... read more]
Ocean Riviera Paradise: Beautiful resort!
The resort and its staff was just about as close to perfect as you can get. The food was amazing, the rooms were spotless and the staff were always smiling, polite and courteous. The resort is quite large but spread out, so you never feel like it's crowded or busy at any time. The only thing I didn't like was the time share salesmen pressure, but that is only in the lobby area and they respect when you say no. We will definitely go back again
Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: A relaxing, peaceful week in the sun
My friend and I Had the holiday we were looking for. The rooms were clean and very quite. The beds were comfortable, with 4 lovely pillows. We slept great. The food was good. The staff were pleasant. The grabbing of the best spots with umbrellas at 5 in the morning, for the whole day is a liitle annoying. Everyone is in on the game. Other than that, we had a great stay.
Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Friendly Resort
Love the hospitality and warm welcome. My wife and I had a great experience enjoying good food, evening events and good people from hotel and Sunwing Staff that devoted their time to ensure our stay is a memorable one. We will definitely want to come back with our kids.
Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Nice resort
The food was good in the Buffet, la Petite Creperie (which you are allowed at but it seems like you are not). The shows & entertainment staff were great. If you’re a wine drinker you’ll be expected to buy wine as the house red or white is horrible. The rooms were real nice & cleaned well daily. I’m pretty low maintenance & I’ve never paid so much for an all inclusive so I expected more. Next time I’ll go back into Playa to a 3 Star & I’ll be better off. PS- the Japanese restaurant wa [... read more]
