Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Iberostar Paraiso Beach Resort

The hotel was great as usual. Our third time there. The landscaping is beautiful. The room service was good, the service was good and the variety of food was excellent at the buffet house. The staff always greeting us with a smile. The star Friends were very friendly specially Luis, Liliana, Fernando in the entertainment field, always ready to please. Hotel Xcaret Mexico: Absolutely amazing!

Everything was absolutely perfect at the Hotel Xcaret! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The resort is absolutely beautiful! The accommodation was perfect! Food was plentiful and tasty! It was so great that the 8 different parks were included in our package. We just needed an extra week there to enjoy them all! We had a wonderful week!

Las Brisas Huatulco: Great resort

Beautiful resort. Food was good, lots of choices at the buffet. The beaches were beautiful, lots of chairs available. Service on the beach was wonderful! Amazing breakfasts at the Mexican restaurant with an awesome view. The whole resort was very clean. LOVE the short bus ride from the airport! LOTS of hills to walk...could have taken shuttles but chose not to. Other than the hills.....no complaints.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Very nice place

I enjoyed the resort. The staff were very friendly. The grounds were very clean. Disappointed in the beach ( very small and lots of seaweed, could not swim ) Room was clean, food was good. Overall experience was very good.

Occidental Cozumel: Great Resort (except for the food)

Everything except the food would bring us back to this resort. The food selection was limited. The food quality was “fair” at best and not up to the rating of the hotel. This also applies to the three restaurants on site. The beach, the service and amenities were all very good.

TRS Yucatan: Resort Heaven

We highly recommend this exclusive resort! The service was impeccable; everyone made such an effort to make us feel special and well attended to. Two gentlemen at Los Rocco’s pool bar named Arcadia and Jose made us exceptional habanero margaritas, even bringing us hotter ones to sample from their very own gardens! We found this so very thoughtful and speaks volumes of their attentiveness to exceptional service! They all made us feel truly welcomed. Tania at the pool/main lobby was also a sweetheart and deserves acknowledgement for her hard work. The food at all the a la carte restaurants was delicious! Helios and El Gaucho were our favourites and do not miss the cabaret dinner show at the chic restaurant as it was spectacular! There is such great talent at this show. With other ventures to other resorts with my celiac disease/allergy, I have had major issues meeting my nutritional needs. Everywhere we ventured to on this resort made a huge effort to ensure I was assisted throughout my order selection and I highly appreciated the efforts to embrace my dietary issues. We would 100% revisit this resort and will recommend all our friends and family to visit such an unbelievable retreat! Ps the spa was worth every penny, amazing massages in such a peaceful setting (make sure to find the 2 for 1 deals)

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: I will go next year for a third time

This is our second time at the Bahia Principe. The first time we stayed at the Tulum part of the resort and this year we stayed at the Coba part. The entire resort is beautiful. The grounds are meticulously landscaped, the myriad of pools and Jacuzzi areas are lovely. The public rest rooms are ample and spotless, not to mention attractive. The staff are friendly, not pushy like is some other areas of the Caribbean. The rooms are clean and spacious and nicely decorated. The eight a la cart [... read more]e restaurants have fabulous cuisine. It is a large resort but the frequent electric trams take you to where you want to go in a matter of minutes. You can walk as well but the trams are very convenient. This resort is located near the Maya ruins in Tulum a 15 minute drive away. There is a large children's pool with slides and water fountains and the children we saw there looked like they were having a ball. This is a 5 star resort. The beaches along the Mayan Riviera have been suffering from an abundance of seaweed but workers kept busy hauling it away. Can't help mother nature.

Grand Oasis Sens: OK resort

It was a slightly older resort but very clean and we'll maintained. There was a large percentage of gay and lesbians population there at this time , so if this offends you I would suggest that you go elsewhere, but e found it to be OK. If you have issues with climbing stairs, this is not the place to go. There are about 20 stairs to go down to the breakfast buffet, which was very nice. To get to the main pool there is a dozen stair steps and another four to the next level of the entertainment [... read more] pool and another 10 to 12 to get to the beach. The bars were available at most levels , but the washrooms were not easily accessible or close, there could be more washrooms. Entertainment was pretty good at the pool stage and Kinky's bar and the piano lobby bar. I would suggest that you go to the concierge office to try to get on the shuttle to the Grand Oasis Cancun resort for the free Caberate show or others that are available. They don't really mention the shows unless you have the San Kan upgrade but it was excellent. If you are adventurous you might try to rent a smart car in the lobby to venture out on your own, or take an excursion or two to Tulum or other sights. The water was rather rough when we were there in early March so no kayak or snorkeling was available, but the beach is pretty and we'll maintained.

Oceano Palace: Great location and decent service

This is not a really quiet hotel but gives a great Mexico experience - many Mexican family guests so you will hear mostly Spanish. However fairly quiet after 5:00 PM so that's what counts. Appears to be striving to maintain and update rooms regularly. Staff are very accommodating to requests as room service sometimes varies. Enjoyed the gym. Great location on the beach and close to many good restaurants.

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Great Vacation

The employees work very hard here to ensure their guests have a great vacation. This resort is one of the cleanest I've ever seen. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The food is just not really that great and the activities at the pools don't always happen as scheduled. More work needs to be done on menu planning and quality of food. The staff need to do a better job "marketing" the evening events; I would ask some of the staff what was happening and where that evening, and they would tel [... read more]l me nothing was planned, and then I would hear I missed it. The staff in the lunch "a la carte" restaurant need more help, or need to be trained on waiting tables; took too long to order and then sometimes the orders were lost. Pools are older and looking tired, they have steel ladders, as opposed to stairs, and for some older guests, these are hard to manage. Location is great, the city bus is just steps away and this hotel is walking distance to San Jose Del Cabo, Walmart and other sites.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Wonderful resort, excellent pampering with just a few quibbles

This hotel had stellar reviews, and the encouragement of our travel agent, Nicolle, was what we needed to book. We were very, very happy with this trip and the resort. The resort is absolutely lovely, and as it's in a complex with several other resorts, we often remarked how much prettier the landscaping and grounds and layout were at the Sian Ka'an than the other resorts. You feel like you're in a manicured jungle. The facilities were lovely. The a la carte dining at Frutos de la Mar and [... read more] Alux was INCREDIBLE. The Maiko restaurant was absolutely abysmal, as was all their sushi and Japanese cuisine at the buffet (you can find my Maiko review on TripAdvisor). Overall, we really enjoyed the buffet, though the food was noticeably better the first week than the second. There is a significant lack of Mexican food on offer (just a few dishes except on Mexican night) and we would have loved to see more. We found the beds firm but comfortable. There are some quirks in some of the rooms -- our first room had a bathroom door that wouldn't stay open and the gap between the double beds that they make up into a king was very humpy. We moved to a ground floor room a third of the way into our stay, and the bed was exponentially more comfy and the bathroom door stayed open just fine. Water takes a while to warm up -- not a big deal. The pools were always clean, though not heated (not that you need a heated pool when it's 30c outside). We enjoyed the pool by the Cenote snack bar best, and could usually find two lounge chairs under the tree canopy so we weren't fried by the sun all day. It was relaxing, and Martha was quick to bring us drinks as we needed them. The food at Cenote was surprisingly good, and better tasting than room service, so we often went there at night instead of ordering in. Fun to watch the Iguanas fight over a dropped tortilla chip. The ocean was beautiful, and we really liked the infinity pool, though it was very noisy there. We like a more zen experience. The pool by the sushi bar is very secluded and often quiet, if that's more your speed. As for the shuttle to the beach, we didn't hate it, but it sometimes was more shlepping than we had energy for, so that's why we ended up at the pool most days. We found the Hacienda ridiculously touristy, but also handy for snack purchases (go to the pharmacy to buy snacks at local prices vs resort prices) and the souvenirs we wanted to bring home. We didn't spend time there at night. Overall, we found the resort staff to be charming and friendly and accommodating, the rooms comfy and cool, the location beautiful, and the food mostly good to occasionally excellent (and rarely bleh). We would recommend this hotel.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great family resort

The Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach is great for families. Pools kept clean and very enjoyable. No pool entertainment on the Colonial side although entertainment every day on the Tropical side. Large resort, lots to do and see. Dolphinaris on site 5 minutes from our rooms, was a great place to watch the dolphins in action... and no need to leave the resort to swim with them! A la cartes were all very good (steak house and Japanese were our favourites). Rooms very humid, all power is motion activated in rooms. A/C turns off when at the beach or pools all day. Overall we had a great experience, top 2 resorts we’ve been to!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great place!

This was our 2nd visit at this resort and all I can say is amazing. The staff are friendly, and the accommodations,food and drinks all great. The entertainment was different from our last visit which was nice. There is no question that we will be back!

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Awesome Resort

My husband and I traveled the first week of March and stayed for 7 nights. We found the hotel personnel to be very friendly and accommodating. We rarely had to wait for anything when it came to service. I did find that some of the bars were understaffed for the amount of people that were there. At times there was only 1 bartender, and one waitress. The grounds were nice and clean, the beach was amazing for walking. There were a couple nice areas for swimming, but a lot of areas are coral ( [... read more]which is ideal for snorkeling). I don't know if this was due to some windy days, but there was an abundance of "seaweed" in the water and washed up on shore, personally was not bothered by this, but it seemed many others were. The food was good, I cannot complain as I found something to eat and was satisfied-I am a very picky eater, and do not eat seafood. There were many small bonuses to this resort, such as having its own Dolphin water park, shopping mall, casino, and sports area. It also appears to be very kid oriented with many theme parks for the youngsters. Our overall experience was very good.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Beautiful Resort

The hotel was amazing. Very clean and beautiful grounds. The food was very good. Hotel rooms were comfortable and clean. Shower stall was large which was great. We would go back to this resort in the future and recommend to family and friends

Grand Oasis Riviera: Very good, family friendly cozy hotel

The hotel is very family friendly, lots to do for young children, if you are looking for a party hotel this is not it but if you are looking for relaxing and peace this is the place to go. The stuff is very friendly and the food is amazing, lots of variety and high quality foods. The beach is beautifil unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of see weeds, of course it only happens sometimes.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Average vacation

This hotel had its pros and cons. The hotel is beautiful to look at from the outside. Kept very nice on the outside and the beach and pools where very nice. Restaurant staff very nice, bar staff money talks and definitely under staffed for the size of the hotel. Check in and check out take hours. And if your in need of any help you my as well forget about it because no one is there to help you or if they do once again you wait hours. Room keys quit working at least 6 times when we where there an [... read more]d the extra costs to do anything on the resort was rediculous. They call it the entertainer resort and there is some entertainment but just like every other hotel there sure wasn’t something going on at all times like I was sold on.They don’t help with luggage and first impressions they don’t make you feel very welcome. Fiesta Americana Cozumel: Chillaxing Resort

Krystal Puerto Vallarta: good resort for the money

The hotel was a little old, but fairly well kept. Room was clean but maid forgot hand towels and to refill tissue box when it run out. Not a big buffet but what was there was good. The servers were not real attentive had to ask for more coffee and some of coarse were better than others at their job .The chairs in the dinning room were very uncomfortable but the ones out on the patio were fine so we sat there instead. Lobby staff were great very helpful to our needs.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: amazing resort

This resort is one of the best resorts we have ever been to. The grounds are beautiful.. you can enjoy walking around admiring the beautiful colors. Everything is very well trimmed and taken care of.. the staff works really hard at making sure the grounds are free of debris. very clean. The buffet is super good.. The Alux is a fantastic a la carte restaurant. Probably the best well done steak I've ever had.. better than the Keg! We actually cancelled other reservations because the buffet w [... read more]as excellent. there was no need to leave the resort.. but its nice to have to option of going to other resorts.. The trolley is fun.. you get to meet new people and visit the other resorts.. and they are always there.. never have to wait long.. the drivers are quite pleasant. The beach however is not the best unless you're at the adults only beach.. which we were.. there is a lot of sea weed on the beach but they have someone clearing it constantly. The staff is excellent..from the lobby staff to the activity crew .. everyone is there to please you.. if you have any complaints they do their very best to get it rectified right away. This resort if very quiet ... not for groups of people who want to party hard.. The drinks were good but they should carry more premium drinks. Laura is fantastic!!!
