Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: The ultimate "ALL-INCLUSIVE EXPERIENCE"

RESORT WAS EVERYTHING MY WIFE AND I,PLUS OUR FRIENDS, COULD HAVE HOPED FOR. IT WAS CLEAN, ATTRACTIVE, WELL APPOINTED, & LAID OUT. THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS,AND OBLIGING IN EVERY WAY. THIS WAS OUR 8TH TRIP TO DOM.REPUBLIC BUT THE 1ST TO THIS RESORT. WE WERE SO IMPRESSED THAT WE ARE CONSIDERING RETURNING NEXT SPRING FOR TWO, OR MORE, WEEKS. MAY I ADD THAT THE FOOD,AND SERVICE,WAS VERY GOOD & THE SPECIALTY RESTUARANTS EXCELLENT

Riu Republica: Modern Oasis

The resort was new, with a clean sleek simple design both inside the hotel /dining as well as on the grounds. The buffet gave very good choices. The food at the steak house was excellent. The beach was awesome, however, the waves were very big and strong making kayaking almost impossible. Entertainment was good. This resort seemed to be peepier than its neighboring resorts. Overall a great resort.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Dinner reservations with timeshare salesman

Solid resort, good food, good beach, loved the warm water in the swim up bar. You had to make you dinner reservations with your concierge aka timeshare sales man. When we refused to listen to the timeshare spiel we couldn't get a dinner reservation. One of the couples we were with took one for the team and went to the timeshare tour a we were magicallly able to get a dinner reservations for 8. As always the a la cartes are 3/4 empty.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Really good resort

Everything was very clean and put together very nice. Excellent service all around, definetly would go back. Awesome entertainment and pool/beach areas. Food was the best I've ever had by far. Thank you!

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Petit paradis, très beau!

Terrassement super beau et bien entretenu. Situé entre la piscine et la mer avec des prises de vue pittoresques. Service par excellence partout: autant dans les chambres, à la réception ou dans les restaurants. Nourriture excellente avec un très grand choix de repas. Les serveurs très gentils avec un service impeccable.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Great Resort!!!

Outstanding service, exceptional rooms and attentive hotel staff. Beach was rather windy most days but water was very warm. The only suggestion I would make to the hotel management would be to keep the main bar open beyond 11pm and full room service(wine or beer) was not available but for an extra cost so it's not fully all inclusive. But the overall experience was "Excellente"

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Overall Great Vacation

I stayed at Be Live Marien in Puerto Plata, DR and it was perfect! The staff were lovely, they were very generous with the drinks, the food was great, as was the lay out of the resort; they always had stuff going on around the pool to keep people entertained. We went on 3 excursions while at the resort too; the city tour was really interesting, getting to meet locals, see the entire city from atop the beautiful mountain, taste local cuisine, learn about the history of Puerto Plata, the tour gui [... read more]de was great, he could speak at least 4 languages and was very courteous. Our second tour was called "Paradise Island", which was this tiny little sand bar out in the ocean, it took a while to get to, but it was worth it; we had some drinks, soaked up the sun and went snorkeling. It was amazing! There were two options, the speed boat, which was less expensive (which is the one we did), and the yacht, which was really nice for couples, I heard. The snorkeling was quite an experience, the guide would give me handfuls of dead fish and all the tropical fish would come around me and eat out of my hands, it was amazing! After that we toured the mangrove forest and that was absolutely stunning! Our third, and last tour was called "Mega Extreme" and it was definitely not for the faint of heart, but it was worth the challenge! We hiked up the other side of the mountain (opposite to the cable cars), to these waterfalls that we could cliff-jump into, there were natural rock slides that you could slide down into the water. They tell you if you have your own water shoes you can bring them, but DON'T! The water shoes you rent for $2 USD aren't actually water shoes, they're loafers, that tie up and have proper soles, and they are meant for the excursion! I used my water shoes and they ended up falling off in the rushing water and I never found them again, and my friends shoes tore open. After I lost my shoes one of the guides lent me his, and the experience was so much better afterward, because I wasn't worrying about slipping in the mud. The jumps were so scary, but so exhilarating! After that we went zip lining through a forest, their lines are set up so that even someone over 300lbs can go on them, so my buddy, who usually misses out on this sort of stuff, was able to experience it! Very beautiful! Last, we went horseback riding, and it was an overall great experience!

Now Garden Punta Cana: Now Garden

My wife and I traveled to Punta Cana at the end of March. The Hotel , food , staff were great the beach was second to none. Now that being said we did something we would never do twice ( Parasailing) we booked our trip through one of the hotel staff J.J he told us he had a guy. JJ was a nice guy so we paid him the $100.00 US dollars. On the boat as we were getting ready one of the hands said for 50.00 he would give us a disc with 45 pictures of our experience. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great resort

We enjoyed our week thanks ro our travel agent. This resort is great we were on thr abults only resort. The food and service was great. We took 3 excursions and they were awesome to see the contry and the way they live.

Riu Republica: Amazing resort

Beautiful,beautiful,beautiful. The staff are great,the rooms are beautiful! The food was good. The animation team were amazing always happy and energenic.the resort is extremely clean! There are 3 pools and always enough loungers for everyone! I only have amazing things to say about The Riu Republica we had an amazing time. We would definetly go back to this resort highly recommended!

Casa Marina Reef Resort: All and All great trip couple hicups.

The resort itself is beautiful. Grounds kept clean,pools clean,food was awesome. First room we had was in back building. Paid for Superior Garden view. Got top floor no balcony and small window to look out of at concrete design on building. Also door was at back facing very busy street with bars open all night. Noise was atrousous with yelling and motor cycles running up and down the street. Also woke up second morning to no water. Complained and no problem moved us to a room beside pool with ba [... read more]lcony and they accommodated us completely. Only issue we had then was no water in shower in the afternoon. Don't go for the beach because the waves were constantly too big to swim. People that did venture out picked sand of their bathing suit the rest of the day. Bartenders were awesome very little wait times for drinks. Deserts were very good including ice cream which you don't see at every resort. Book alecartes early as they fill up fast. Would go back to this resort but would specify what area we wanted our room.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Memories Splash Resort, Punta Cana

Overall, the vacation was good. Service, staff and food were excellent. The downside was we went specifically for the children's splash park as we were traveling with two children ages 6 and 8. They could not play together at the park slides because one was too small for the big slides and the other was too big for the small slides. The bigger child wanted to play with his sister at the small park but was not allowed. They were disappointed about this.

Occidental Punta Cana: Overall very nice resort ! Would recommend !!

We were there from April 01-08,2017. We were in building 26. Our room was newly renovated, clean rooms, nice comfy beds, no issues with clean towels. The resort is just the perfect size, walking around is close to every thing. Love the beach, no issues in getting fresh towels. Love the nice lounging chairs, new and comfy. Only thing missing are Palapas however there are many palm trees to provide shade. You just have to chase the shade. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. House wine . white is not good. I tried the white a few times but always heurk. My man says red is good. We went to 2 a-la-carte: Steak house, food was very good ,however service was all very badly organized. example: your eating dessert and they serve you bread and butter at the same time. We sat 30 minutes before waiter came to us. I can understand there is a language barrier, but serving people if waiters have assigned tables cannot be that bad. They had like 10 waiters and it was sad to see them go and be so confused. I spoke to one waiter after and he would have loved if I would have spoken to his Manager cause he knows there is chaos but he cannot say anything and get in trouble. If manager tells them its that way its that way. I feel for them. Italian on the other hand, service was good. The nightly entertainment is too late, starts at 9h45. However seen one seen them all. The pool bar, did not go, there is a constant waterfall over the bar and that is the only way you can get to bar to get a drink and in the waterfall that is over the bar there is food in the water like fries (reason being there is a snack bar over the bar, so food falls in the water fall and that dirty water pours on you when you go to the pool bar. I prefer the beach which is beautiful and nice waves. and last thing..music. for full week they played in the buffet restaurant saxophone Kenny G. Lovely music, but xmas music, let it snow, and red nose reindeer..in April is a little depressing. I would love if they played there music which can also be very soothing. I am pretty sure they have nice mellow tunes too. and that is why we go there is too get a bit of Dominican vibe and not just Kenny G. Those are all my comments, my negatives are little things that they can do to improve the resort. I would love to go back. just change the music and have better white wine and I am there!!!

Riu Republica: Good time

Loved it. Everything was perfect. Food staff and entertainment was fabulous. Only thing missing was room service. We did miss having the option of breakfast in bed. Super fun energy from animation team. Great beverages. Loved the huge sun shelters. Always lots available.

Riu Republica: Great resort

The hotel was very nice but access to and from our room made for a long walk each time. It is unfortunate that the complex was not designed with more exits to the grounds. Everyone has to pass through the lobby in order to get to their rooms. I am hoping with the new addition that is presently under construction that a trolley system will also be put in place as it is a fair distance to walk. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable but often early in the day there were dirty glasses, as [... read more]htrays, etc littering the hallways and outside grounds area. The staff was the friendliest I have ever encountered. This includes the wait staff in all the restaurants and buffet, bar tenders, pool maintenance, grounds keepers, front desk staff, animation team and the maids. Each and every one had a friendly smile and went out of their way to help. The pools were great, whether you wanted to participate in the activities in the party pool or relax and read a book or nod off at the quiet pool. There were plenty of chairs and shade at all the pools. The beach was lovely and the big waves were fun to play in. The food was very good with lots of variety. We especially liked the Steak House and the main buffet. All in all, it was a great vacation.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: not more than a 3 start

Nothing special no glass for dring anywere unless the buffet or if you upgrade for premium. Manager respond quick after we talk directly to him about not having hot water for 3 days he tranfer all of us (4rooms) to a different bldg all in a suite. Was able to keep the room until 3 pm. I did not like the animation team and they do not speak french on the resort.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great resort for Families!

Loved Memories - kids enjoyed the "mixing up" of onsite waterpark in the morning then onto swimming beach or poolside. Staff throughout all areas of the resort from guest check-in, grounds crew, entertainment staff and cleaning ladies were very pleasant & always smiling, which keeps everyone in a good mood! Food is okay - buffet actually better than a la carte restaurant fare. Evening "shows" need a bit of work but having access to Royalton property is a definite bonus.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Outstanding resort!

We thought the resort was amazing. Clean, well designed and comfortable. Beautiful decor, friendly staff and great food. The amenities are endless. Always something to do or not do, whatever was your fancy.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Good family option

Memories splash Punta cana. Great layout nice pool easy access to water park with great slides and wave pool. Food was above average repetitive buffet but that's expected with a A.I. Only downfall was constant pressuring by entertainment and some bar staff to write a good review on tripadvisor of them. For this reason alone would not return.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great experience

Great resort with clean rooms and great food.. grounds are meticulously manicured ... beautiful beach. Would go again . Pools are very nice with bars and restaurants... two pools for relaxing and one big one for playing
