Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great place to marry
I got married at this resort. They set it up very nicely and on time. Great place to stay. Do note, they will not rush to get things done. Took a while to get my room on the first day. Also cleaning times for the room is never consistent. 9:30am one day, 5:00pm the next.
Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Reliable Resort
This was my second time at the Iberostar Bavaro Resort. The resort is older but well maintained. Grounds are very clean, every day there are gardeners taking care of all the plants and flowers including orchids. Food is good and there is lots to choose from. Beach is fabulous best location in Punta Cana. Staff is very attentive and eager to please their guests. Will return again
Riu Merengue: my husband and i were at the riu bachata not riu merengue
very friendly and helpful staff the grounds were well groomed ,my husband is in a wheelchair and was able to access all areas of the resort .our room was a disabled room which made our vacation stress free .when we arrived at the resort due to miscommunication we had no disabled room available but the sunwing representative looked after us and in no time there was a room available.we enjoyed ourselves met a lot of nice people if our health continues we are booking for next year.
Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Beautiful beaches!
This resort is very clean and the beaches are the best we've ever seen. They are serviced daily to remove seaweed and coral/rocks so it is easy and safe to access the ocean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. One week is almost not long enough to enjoy everything there is to offer.
Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Great resort
Good food, beautiful beaches, lots of palapas, nice rooms in villas with gorgeous grounds. Would rate buffets 5 star. A la cartes 4 star pool 4 1/2 star beaches 5 star entertainment 3 1/2 star. Rooms 4 1/2 star
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort - showing its age
This has been my third time visiting this resort and it still amazes me how beautiful it is. The resort has now grown to 7 in total. They have put in so much work into the new sections (Fantasia, Turquoise) that they are not putting any efforts into the original resort (Punta Cana). We were there from March 31 to April 7th for a wedding. In total there were 18 people and there seem to be an issue with all of the rooms. Being there for a wedding we would think that all of the rooms would [... read more]
Emotions by Hodelpa Juan Dolio: Amazing week!
Just got back from a 1 week vacation at the Emotions by Hodelpa and I had a great time! I love how the resort is smaller in size which allows you to get to where you want to be in 2 minutes or less. I have no complaints about the food at this resort but I would say to try to get into the a la cartes for dinner (we didn't go to the buffet for dinner but I did hear it was good). The Domincan restaurant was my favorite (I ate here 3 times). Be sure to try the coffee house. The frapps and cappu [... read more]

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful resort
I really enjoyed my stay at the Grand Bahia Principe resort in Punta Cana. Our room was clean and we were close to the pool, beach and main lobby for meals. Shuttle service was also handy :) I would definitely recommend this resort.
Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Excellent trip!!!
Amazing time at this resort! I loved how clean the restaurants, the lobby and the washrooms were. Clean washrooms are very important and I am very satisfied! I would go back to this resort again and have already started planning my next trip. Everything was awesome down to the amazing friendly staffs and service and of course the tasty food! Thank you dreams for making my anniversary voyage memorable!
Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Great resort!
I have recently returned from the Viva Wyndham V Heavens and had a great time. The resort is small ans is ideal for solo traveller like me. The resort is well laid out and best of all is the free wi-fi, even on the beach. I have met many travellers and even made some friends. The animation crew were great - did Zuma, dancing lesson, water aerobics, etc. Although the resort has 4 Ã -la-carte restaurants, not all were opened. Contrary to the Sunwing brochure, the buffet was opened during supper [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville
The grounds of this hotel is 5 star. The grounds are immaculate. The rooms are a great size. If your not getting an ocean view ask for building 57 facing the pool with a balcony we were in 57122. Even numbers face pool. This is a new building facing the new quiet pool. It's close to everything the buffet the a la cartes and lobby and la Romana le gourmet. A la carte a can only be booked by the Bahia app which I recommend to install. The only restaurant that must be done by the staff is d [... read more]
Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Okay for the Price
Our room was clean but it smelled very musty - even running the bathroom fan 24/7 didn't help. Friends staying down the hall didn't have this problem. One of our closet doors was missing and the door in the bathroom was coming off the hinges. The minibar was included but 3 out of 7 days it was not restocked. Grounds and public areas were fairly well maintained, except for the pools, which had a scummy layer floating on top. The beach was the best part - only steps away from the resort a [... read more]
Now Garden Punta Cana: Now garden
We booked Now Garden with Victoria from Trip central. When we booked we asked that our hotel be beach front. She pointed us out to Now Garden and when asked if it was beach front she said yes its on the beach. To our surprise once we got there, the hotel was not on the beach it was behind another hotel called Now Larimar, it was a 5min golf cart ride to the beach. This was very disappointing as we were traveling with a toddler. We ended up having to pay another $400 to upgrade to the other hot [... read more]
Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great week in the sun!
Enjoyed my week in the resort. It was a bit larger than I would prefer, but there were lots of pools outside the main area (noisy and crowded) where we spent most of our time. Stayed in building 12 close to a pool and a bar. Christian was our server and was awesome. So friendly and cheerful all the time - so good at his job. Other servers in the buffet were very good as well. My favourite was Carmen who worked in the smaller buffet. Also had the best omelettes with everything! Beach was nice bu [... read more]
Riu Merengue: Good times at Riu Merengue
Little ways from Puerto Plata makes this place nice and quiet. The food is good but I would add some day to day variety. The eastern part of the beach is more swiming friendly, although not a spot for snorkeling. The staff is awesome and really friendly everywhere on the resort. As far as the activities outside the resort, I suggest to use the packages sold at the resort; if you're trying to do it on your own, you will most likely ending paying more to get less. Bring some tip money!!!
Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: DISSAPOINTING RESORT.BAD MANAGEMENT
After being at this hotel 5 times now and my traveling companion 3 ,I can say this was the first time I have been very disappointed. in the room mostly. the first room we were given was not the cleaniness,i had grown to expect from this resort, .we only had one electrical plug and that was in the bathroom. one side of the double bed had an extension cord coming from behind the headboard to plug in a charger .that was all except the tv in Spanish. behind the headboards WERE A MASS of electri [... read more]
Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great vacation
We had a great vacation at this resort. There is something for eveyone. My husband loved the golf and the jacuzzi on the balcony. I enjoyed the one minute walk to the beach. It is a big resort but nothing is too far. Especially if you take the train. Lots of cute babies but there is also an adult section( The Beach) that is quieter and everything is close together but you can use all of the amenities in the Palace. The weather was perfect and if we have to complain about anything would say the f [... read more]
Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Iberostar Bavaro Punta Cana
We are repeated guests at this resort. What draws us back again and again are great gardens and trees, guests leaning towards mature people and families..The accomoditation in villas is quiet and very nice. The food is good and the beach is fantastic. Service - fast, efficient and always with the smile. We liked it as well because it is an older, established and relaxed resort.
Casa Marina Reef Resort: Casa Marina Reef Resort - Sousa Dominican Republic
My 79 year old father and I spent a week at the resort from March 30 to April 6. The food was good, the staff were excellent and the resort was in good condition. I thought we received very good service at all times.
