Blau Varadero: Amazing Stay at Blau Varadero
We've stayed for one week at Blau and enjoyed every minute of it. Hotel staff are all extremely friendly and go beyond service to assist customers. Food was lovely not only in restaurants but buffet was fantastic as well. We also enjoyed the night entertainments. I was there with my husband and my daughter and we all had fabulous time together. I would definitely go back to Blau next time.
Resonance Blu Varadero: Amazing
Pretty nice resort Food was good pools great beach amazing Check in was really slow had to wait for a long time to be able to get into our rooms Grounds were very nice really big resort a lot of walking
Los Delfines: Great value for your dollar. Loved the beach!
The Hotel was very simple and a perfect size for my liking. The customers raved about the place and I could see they kept coming back so that in itself tells you alot about the place and the service team.
Resonance Blu Varadero: Great vacation spot!
Hotel was lovely. Enjoyed the pools and beach. Food was okay but very good at the al la carte restaurants. Really enjoyed the benefits if Diamond Club which included early check in and arrival drink. Also arrangement were made immediately for the al la carte restaurants and a special dinner pool side one night.
Sol Palmeras: Amazing resort!
This hotel was beautiful, the grouds well kept, lovely beach, lots of activties durning the day and at night. Clean rooms, amazing food, the stuff were very friendly and helpful. Amazing first trip!!!
Hotel Los Cactus: Great staff
The staff is just great. You are family here. Love the beach but at night watch out for mosquitoes or sandflies not sure which one . The food well they tried Make sure you tip. Thats what they live on. Great place. The beds are good the room is clean
Oasis Islazul: Very poor quaity food, service.
The food was extremely simple and bad quality. The staff were not friendly. Had to pay for most of the drinks. The hotel maintenance status was poor. I will not recommend this place to any body. I had to wait for a long time to get on the bus to go to the airport.
Gran Caribe Playa Caleta: Fantastic place
Access to two resorts is better than one that's for sure! A small nightclub but gives you a Cuban experience without having to leave the resort Chinese Allah cart was awesome lobster and shrimp delicious Beautiful beach not so crowded that you couldn't move if it was to windy for the beach you had Access to two swimming pools with plenty of chairs In the sun or shade
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Paradisus Princess Del Mar
First time to Cuba after numerous Caribbean and Mexican holidays, and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were lovely and clean and the food was amazing-- especially Cuban night when they served half lobsters on the grill! The pools and grounds were beautiful. One favorite thing about the resort was the talented entertainment in the evening. The people working were gracious and hospitable. The only complaint I can think of is the bathrooms off the lobby. They were often without toilet paper an [... read more]
Barcelo Solymar: Party Resort
If you're in your early twenties and looking to party this is the spot in veradero to stay. Our room was dirty, a lot of bugs (no bed bugs) and the AC was intermittent. Food was very bad as per usual in Cuban resorts. If you are planning on a family vacation I would look elsewhere. Service is most definitely subpar. The pros: beautiful beach, great weather and inexpensive.
Brisas Del Caribe: A bit dissappointing.
The Hotel (Brisas Del Caribe, Santiago De Cuba) seems to be on its' last legs. Only half the resort was operative. Rooms were above standard for a Cuban three star hotel. Staff were wonderful. Beach was much less groomed or groomable compared to Varadero. However, we enjoyed the climate far more than Varadero. Pool was closed for two days due to an algae bloom which could have been avoided with proper maintenance and elimination of the swim up bar. Noticed a number of people who never left their [... read more]
Roc Arenas Doradas: Excellent Family Holiday !!
Overall a great hotel. The staff was awesome as was the beach ... how could it not be lol. Our rooms were very comfortable with patios and mini-kitchens. We required 4 rooms and were able to be fairly close to each other on the same floor. The buffet was excellent the first few days but got a little boring by the end of the week. There wasn't any other restaurant to choose on-site (ala carte) as most other hotels have at least one. The location was perfect .. we could walk across the street and [... read more]
Punta Peninsula Varadero: Great Resort
Clean well maintained buildings. Enjoyed the food. Friendly accommodating staff. Took a few days to arrange the in room coffee that was promised and we wished we'd taken bug spray to the beach. Overall great vacation and we plan to go back
Brisas Del Caribe: OK with a great beach
First of all, I have to say that expectations of a 3+ star hotel in Canada is slightly "different" than in Cuba. The hotel itself is dated and needs an update. One of the rooms we had was very musty. However the cleaning and maintenance staff do the best with they have. The grounds are maintained quite well. Once you realize it is what it is, you can sit down and enjoy yourself. The beach is great and is the best feature of the Brisas Del Caribe. Nice white sand, very little rocks and clear blue [... read more]
Palma Real: Great location!
location was great as it was just right downtown, within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, bars and a few clubs, the bank and artisan markets. do not expect anything luxurious within the hotel. the room and the food was not the best but not overly disgusting. the staff was definitely amazing. this resort is ideal for people who would want to spend most of their day in the beach and exploring the city, not for those who would want to stay in the resort all week.
Starfish Jibacoa: BEAUTIFUL BEACH
We stayed at this resort in April 2014. It was small, rooms were very clean and the staff we friendly. Beach was beautiful and pool was good. Lots of chairs. Food was not great but that is often the case in Cuba. It was ok and we always found something to eat. We found the resort quite out of the way for shopping and site seeing. You always had to pay for a taxi to go anywhere. If you want to just relax and sit by the pool or snorkel this is a great place to go. We didn't want to do allot but it [... read more]
Melia Las Antillas: Very very good!!!!
It has been our first trip to Cuba with my wife in May 2014. We had a wonderful time at this resort. Excellent food, clean rooms, lots of entertainment, and great food. I don't mind going back to this resort and I already recommended it to friends and to my extended family.
Grand Memories Varadero: Great resort
The rooms were top notch, as were the grounds. Being in the "Adults" section was a plus! The "main" pool was far too noisy. The music carried to both other pools. I was totally unimpressed with the beach. Far too many broken shells. Did not care to walk in bare feet! The food is typical for Cuba. Lukewarm and not to flavorful. But plenty of it. Getting used to "red" meat in the burgers was a task. I was told they put red color in them, and even if it is cooked to death, they are still red. Never [... read more]
Palma Real: Good Value for the money
Well placed in Varadero with walking access to the city that made the trip so interesting. Local restaurants and culture all easily accessible. Beach was wonderful, albeit a short walk from the hotel. Main buffet had a large variety of foods which changed up every day. Now for the bad parts - I got food poisoning while there, spoiled my holiday. Very difficult to tell where it came from, but I would urge the hotel to practice safe food handling. Also the rooms were terrible. Small, old, in need [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Beautiful Resort
We stayed there over the Christmas Holiday. Loved it. New Beautiful resort. Excellent service! People were very nice. Food was good. We had a great time there. I would recommend this resort in Varadero.
