Riu Reggae: A beautiful place

Location, Location, Location! So close to the airport, 7 minutes bus ride! Rooms are good, nothing special but you don't go to a resort to stay in the room, unless you are a honeymooner, lol Service was excellent, people quick to approach you and to check on you everywhere, beach included! Food was delicious and sooooo many options, kudos to the chef and the team! Definitely a place that I will recommend and be back.

Jewel Paradise Cove: garden of eden

Had a lovely stay here, the staff are kind and sweet and the property itself is such a beauty, what a gem, so well-kept ie., beach, pool, garden, and room was clean and cosy .. food and drink were nice, always found something to satisfy. staff wear masks and luggage and bags are sanitized on arrival. we were asked to sanitize our hands upon entering restaurants. at the end of the ten days, didnt want to go home. it was such a nice spot to vacation in. westjet reps were helpful solving any issues [... read more], my hats off to them. thank you for a much anticipated holiday. had a great time, zero complaints.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Adults Only!

Splurge for the Adults Only side for nicer rooms, private beaches, premiums drinks, awesome snorkling and attentive staff. Plenty to do and easy to find a quieter area to relax. A great time was had by all!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Good resort for what we paid

The pools were great. The beach was not. The food was good overall but not great. The bar ran out of coke and dark rum. There were no Kleenex in the room which is surprising for a five star resort. Might return for a the right price. Prefer Negril to Runaway Bay.

Hedonism II: We’re going back!

This place was amazing! Very fun! Very liberating! We had a great time once we got past the nudity. The staff was friendly and the bar tenders worked hard to make sure that everyone was happy. Only thing I’d recommend is the check in process should be a bit more informative to those who are there for the first time.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Highly Overated Hotel

Let me start with the positive, the staff and folks there were really nice, kind, and attentive to us and especially our children. The hotel was dark and old, really old. When we got to the beach on the first day it was covered in broken glass, big rocks, and discarded cups everywhere. The lunch bus food was cold, guys seemed stressed and not happy at all, fries consistently undercooked, jerk cold, burgers precooked and mushy. Our room was dirty there were cut fingernails everywhere, the toi [... read more]let was broken, the tub didn't drain, the toilet was busted and the toilet above us leaked and dripped on you while you were on the toilet, the veranda door was broken and did not lock and the couch was disgusting which had gosh knows what on it. The grounds were neat and nice. The pools and lazy river were falling apart, and dirty. Broken tiles everywhere. Out of the 3 times we got room service it showed up once. This was NOT worth the money we paid, even having access to the Iberostar Beach which in the end was a much nicer place. The food was okay, but not like my last stay at the Bahia Principe grand Jamaica. I wouldn't return to the Iberostar Selection Suites I honestly believe the reviews for this property are stuffed online.

Riu Montego Bay: Worst experience

Worst experience! Customer service at the resort is really bad. No one smiles or greets. We landed at 11:30am, but they gave the room at 3:00 exactly. Food was decent. Pools are all so small especially the party pool and couldn’t go into the pool. Washroom toilet was not flushing. Main issue was the lack of customer service.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Feels like home

We were feeling a bit anxious to be honest, travelling for the first time since Covid 19. That being said, we had a fabulous time! The airports and airline were masks on. But once at this beautiful resort, the only requirement was masking at the buffet while selecting food. ALL the staff were masked, through the entire resort. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing Staff!

I stayed at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach property in Montego Bay Jamaica during April 2022. While the facilities themselves (mainly the rooms) could use a bit of an upgrade I could not have more positive things to say about the staff at this hotel. We traveled for a girls trip and had the most exceptional experience thanks to the staff. One of our biggest shoutouts has to go to Oneil and Akeem who work the night shift at the front desk. They went above and beyond to help us feel safe and sec [... read more]ure each night (providing us with security to escort us to and from our room overnight, etc.). They were patient, gracious, kind and endearing - all qualities that made us feel comfortable and safe which was of utmost priority to us. We did experience a slight mechanical issue with our AC in the middle of the night and Oneil was able to find us a maintenance staff member (one who I regret I did not get the name of) who again, went above and beyond, back and forth in the middle of the night determined to ensure we were happy and comfortable. The bar staff throughout the resort was overall very helpful, friendly, and entertaining. I only wish that all of the guests would recognize that the bartenders were human beings as well and treat them as such. But, between entitled guests and crazy crowds all of the bar staff provided each and every guest service with a smile and made us feel completely entertained and taken care of. Our drinks were refilled without even asking, they learned our names, and made specialty cocktails to suit our tastes! Special shout out to the bartenders who work at the pool: Oshane, Andrew, Kerrando, Roshane, Allistair and more who I am surely forgetting on account of what a good time we were having! We were met with quite a bit of rain (liquid sunshine) during our trip but that did not stop any of the bar/entertainment staff from ensuring everyone enjoyed their stay. We especially want to thank Zugu, Pierre and Lettuce for showing us a good time no matter what the weather had in store for us! Finally, Tasiana of guest services and Percy a taxi driver for the hotel - you both provided me with such amazing service for all of our special requests/needs and I will never forget your absolute kindness. It left a lasting impression on me and I will certainly recommend Iberostar Rose Hall Beach to anyone who is interested in the property. Other notes: The food was good at the buffet, download the app so you can see what types of themed nights are planned to plan for your other reservations accordingly. Drink service could be faster. Restaurant reservation process could be made a bit fairer, some guests booked ahead via email, some did not know this was an option. To be fair, everyone should just book once they are at the hotel. We went to the spa at the Suites property, great facility, they told us to leave our hotel at 10:25 for a 10:30 appointment, by the time we got a shuttle, filled out the forms and got into the massage room it was 10:40, so they cut our service by 10 min. Be early for your appointments, or get clarity on the timing. Staff at the Fiction nightclub for guests only hosted on the Suites property were also fantastic! We couldn't see their names clearly but they were beyond nice, again, treating your bartenders well is just basic human decency. I hate to emphasize that tipping gets you good service because actually, everyone in Jamaica will treat you well regardless of whether you tip or not, you should however tip to show your appreciation in addition to being a polite and gracious guest! Say thank you and tip generously, it's the least you can do :).

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful resort

Beautiful resort, rooms are a little dated, could be more upgraded. Grounds are nicely done, beaches are pretty good, not a long beach though. Cleaning staff were very friendly and very thorough. We love Bahia Principe resorts.

Dreams Rose Hall: Great Staff, well kept resort.

While this resort shows some dated wear, understandable given 2 yrs of covid. It was very clean and the staff was excellent. Food was very good to great for our liking. This was our 3rd time at this resort, it is fantastic for families.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very nice

Very big resort, lovely rooms with huge bathrooms. Hallways to rooms that are carpeted are very grungy. Food was great in the buffet, there was an adult only breakfast Buffett a little further around the veranda that not too many knew about, a great find. Restaurants were good, make reservations as soon as you get there and don’t let them tell you they are full, you’ve paid for them with your all inclusive deal. The beach right out front of the resort has some big rocks in it but the beach over to the side of the resort is quite nice. If you walk a bit further around the beach there is a fenced off area beside the beach bar that is the nude beach.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Horrible Experience

I have been to Jamaica about 12 times. It is truly my favourite place. I have even stayed at the Lady Hamilton resort beside the Grand Palladium. To say this trip was a disappointment is an understatement. The room was not correct and the staff at the front desk were upset it needed to be changed. We were told to be at our room at 4 pm the following day to switch rooms and no one showed up. We called the front and we were hung up on 5 times. We went to the front desk at 8 pm and were told we we [... read more]re not in our room on time. We were finally switched. No towels and no blanket for the beds. We waited hours to get a blanket the first night and we had to do the same once we were moved. Our room never had the floors cleaned our beds were only made twice. We asked for towels daily and only got fresh towels twice. Our fridge was only stocked with water twice. We were told they were out of beer the first day. We were ignored at the pool bar multiple times. Staff was extremely rude. Our bus for the excursion never showed up and when we asked our rep she said it was a systems error. Our luggage was missed on our way home and we had to point out yet another error. No welcome drinks. Ignored at the front desk. We felt like an inconvenience. The staff at the restaurants were amazing but everywhere else was very disappointing. We felt ignored and we felt we were an inconvenience. I will never go back to the grand palladium. We waited a long time to travel and we spent a lot of money for an extreme disappointment.

Dreams Rose Hall: Great vacation

It was great but not without it’s problems. We liked many of the staff but three went above and beyond in our opinion. That would be our house keeper Collette, Rayjay who took care of cabanas by the water slide and our concierge Tyjane. They made our stay better and we look to return.

Riu Negril: Great Resort...amazing people

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Rooms need some updating and any issues we encountered which were minor were taken care of quickly. Food was delicious overall. Having dinner reservations at the al la carte restaurants would have been helpful. Pools are clean and beautiful. Beach is quite large but water is weedy but still great to swim in. All employees at the hotel were wonderful and so helpful. Good job Riu Hotels!!

Riu Negril: Great resort

It's more for family. Must say they look after the sanitizing and cleaning resort very clean. It must definitely is Not 5* if that's what you want. Some staff very friendly others not so if you don't tip ever single time you go to bar you may get mean looks (Beach Bar) just found the moral low and I understand the stress of last 2 yrs. Oh don't expect coffee in room everyday not gonna happen unless you keep asking for it

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Amazing staff !

This resort is an older property needs major updating to rooms bathrooms the water doesn't flow properly the shower leaks on to the floor outside! Lighting is poor on vanity sad looking vanity and sinks ! Outside the gardens need new plants paths are uneven and broken . Pool area needs major improvement bar is tiny long lineup for drinks staff is amazing though 👌 the cushions and seating is worn out and thin you can feel the hard seat through the tatty old cushions! Ocean Coral Spring: Not what we expected

Not a 5 star resort. We booked a privilege suite thinking it would enhance our experience and it seemed to make no difference other than being about to go to one of the only three restaurants we enjoyed. Privileged lounge, red snapper and sugar cane. The other restaurants were terrible and the service was so rude. We waited an hr and half at Route 66 only to get cold beef brisket with no sides. Martha’s market people were extremely rude and the bacon in the morning was raw! I wouldn’t care [... read more] so much if we had just adults but we have two kids who need to eat. When I asked the on server at Route 66 about chicken nuggets she said it would take awhile of them to come out…. Kids should get served first no matter where you are. The kind server at sugar cane understood that and we super fast and even recommended chicken nuggets for my infant right away. Winston at the privilege lounge was excellent, everyone we came across in the privilege lounge was very nice and polite it felt like we were on a different resort. Same with the Red Snapper everyone was extremely polite and helpful. Anastacia our house keeper was amazing and very polite and friendly. She always did a wonderful job! Everything nice and clean and tidy. Especially with the two kids she was a big help. Malane is a wonderful bartender at the beach, great conversations and a kind person. To get a hold of someone seems almost impossible takes a minimum of 3mins for someone to answer the phone unless you call reception then they get mad you called them instead of who ever your trying to get a hold of. Running out of food items is a huge one here. Every restaurant we went to Atleast something off the menu we couldn’t have because they were out off. I think that’s more management then anything. The only reason this hotel is getting stars is because of those wonderful people mentioned above and the beautiful view. I must say the hotel is very clean and the life guards plus the blue group do an excellent job as well! Hopefully you can work on your customer service and food preparation. Also give what you promised a privilege guest.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Amazing Beach and Food!

Have been twice in 5 months. Second time around not as good. Resort was much busier this time which affected the service level. Also, couldn't get into the ZEN restaurant as it was booked solid by 7:35am every day. Otherwise the food is excellent. Drinks are sub par and definitely need more options unless you are only into slushy style sugar drinks. The staff overall are very friendly, but be prepared to not get your drinks till near the end of your meal at the buffet. I love this res [... read more]ort, but the service level needs a boost. But if you enjoy the ocean and beach, this is hard to beat!

Zoetry Montego Bay: Relaxing

This hotel is small and amazing! Most of the staff was friendly. Kyle was amazing! Our 7 day stay was really nice, we felt safe and everything was clean. Ended kind of rough as we were told we could have a late check out of 2:30pm as our flight was later in the evening. After an hour we were told to check out because something had changed and “the sooner the better” luckily our neighbours let us move our things into their room. If Kyle wasn’t around no other waitress’ checked in on us. Also inside the hotel you heard EVERYTHING! People walking, moving furniture, going up and down the stairs. This is something I have never experienced and it really sucked especially during the night being woken up by random noises.
