Riu Cancun: Very nice resort
The RIU Cancun was a very nice hotel. It was very clean and well maintained. It is a little dated but not a problem. The food was pretty good…not outstanding but not awful by any means. There was not a designated snack shack outdoors. You could get hotdogs and burgers in the buffet during specific times. The only real complaint I have is that there is a relatively small bank of elevators for a large hotel. As with many resorts, lounge chair space around the pool was at a premium. Early bird ca [... read more]
Riu Palace Bavaro: Riu Palace Bavaro
Grounds are neatly maintained, shrubs & greenery are well preserved. The hotel structure & decor are outdated, elevators sometimes doesn’t work, common comfort rooms are far from dining areas, beaches & are on disarray, broken lounge chairs are common, beach are not maintained regularly, empty plastic glass, bottles, coconut husks & shells. No one practices CoVid protocol, staff, cooks, servers.
Riu Negril: Amazing resort
My family and I just came back from our vacation and we loved this resort. We are beach people and we spent the majority of our holidays catching some sun on the beach and enjoying the beautiful waters in negril. The rooms are a little outdated but everything else in the resort was perfection. The food was plentiful with lots of variety, the entertainment crew was great especially Miguel very funny guy! And my three kids loved the 730 kids show when they got to dance on stage. Very friendly, and [... read more]
Riu Tequila: Always a great time!
This resort is full of activity. Visiters to the Palace resort could be found at the Tequila Sports Bar enjoying sports not readily available at their resort. No need to pay more when Riu Tequila has it all. We spent time at the Yucatan resort enjoying the ocean and pool. Our stay included the Yucatan and the Playacar (a nice walk on the beach to stop for a refreshment.) Great food, atmosphere, shows and entertainment staff.
Riu Flamingos: Super Clean Resort!
Everywhere you look there was staff mopping floors, wiping tables, and cleaning off counters! Our rooms were cleaned spotless every day as well. Great service too! We had requested a minibar refill and they came up within 10 minutes! Super quick and friendly service!
Riu Republica: Fun party resort
This place is a party resort, the food and amenities are 4 star not 5. We did have a great time but unfortunately my girlfriend got food poisoning and we both ended up getting COVID-19 after our stay (a real bummer). Also we had 3 days of no hot water, partially working shower head and bugs festering in the coffee machine.
Riu Latino: Beautiful Resort
Everything was very clean, and cleaning and gardening going on all the time. All staff members were very friendly. We got an awesome room with a great view of ocean even though it was considered courtyard view. White party was a total blast at the other resort. Pools well maintained and clean and bartenders were great as well, also had drink carts with fair selection of thing so you did not have to leave you chair. If you want a decent chair get up early and put your towel on it. Water slides a [... read more]
Riu Guanacaste: Absolutely amazing
Everything about it was fantastic. I loved that the rooms the pools buffets swim up bar are all close so you don't have to look for it . Very easy for people that can't do lots of walking. What a amazing trip. The only thing I would change would be softer bed but everyone has their own preference hard soft and firm etc.
Riu Palace Mexico: Great resort
It was all great, except for the endless seaweed, nothing that can be done about it. My earrings went missing, they just left a note to remind me to put valuables in the safe, but stole the gold earrings.
Riu Caribe Cancun: Fair resort
The resort was good. Room cleanliness was good. Location was amazing. We had good time at the resort, except the food was very very bad, no taste. Four restaurants were available. Asian , Mexican, buffet and steakhouse. Service was great, the staff was very good, friendly and accommodating.
Riu Caribe Cancun: Great service!
The service in the location was great except the maintenance department didn't shown up even after so many call requests while the toilet was blocked in room 631 (feb 6 to 13), i had to use the toilet brush to pump the water and finally the water gone through. The rest all the services was amazing. The food needs to be improve
Riu Palace Antillas: Almost perfect
This is our forth visit to the Riu in aruba. The resort is spotlessly clean, service impeccable, friendly staff. Food was fresh and delicious. Pools and other amenities are fantastic. The only disappointments are the fact that reservations can’t be made for specialty restaurants and the outdoor entertainment is too loud. There are very few rooms that are not impacted by the booming noise from the outdoor venue and the noise does not stop until 11pm.
Riu Guanacaste: Riu Guanacaste Nice
Hotel was really nice. Staff very pleasant. Loved the pool area. Did not like no coffee in the mornings except for vending coffee until after 7 at the sports bar - with line ups - did not like you could not book dining they said this was never a problem not true and all bars close at 10 with exception of Sports bar - which was very small and after 10pm line ups for a drink. Went to the disco - they charge for drinks? It was like a ghost town after 10 pm on both Friday and Saturday night due t [... read more]
Riu Palace Jamaica: Love the Palace!
Hotel was spotless and staff were very friendly and helpful as usual. Third time staying there and upgraded to ocean front overlooking Lime pool and bar! We’ll definitely be back to this piece of paradise!
Riu Palace Antillas: Fantastic Resort
This hotel has it all. Fantastic staff, great entertainment, awesome choices for food and beverages and a extremely clean resort. This is our second time at the RIU in Aruba and I know there will be a 3rd visit.
Riu Guanacaste: Amazing Resort - Riu Gaunacaste
Resort was amazing, everything clean, and up to date. Food was amazing, lots of different choices. Staff was great, all polite. Jeffrey & Steven in theatre bar are amazing Highly recommend - resort
Riu Republica: Fantastic Experience
Great food, drinks, rooms, service, decent entertainment, beautiful beach, what more could you ask for? Also very happy they weren't playing COVID theatre. Not a mask in sight made it truly a vacation and not a stressful showcase of people playing 'pandemic'. Thank you Riu!
Riu Emerald Bay: It was great, but maybe a little over-rated
Hotel was good, but the room we stayed in is ready for an update. Things were showing their age. Staff was really nice and attentive. But when we signed up for 5*, we expected a higher level. Room - Very clean with a great view, but old deco. Crack across the top of the toilet. All the rails and shelves in the shower/tub were partially pulled out of the wall. There used to be a TV on the wall, but now it's just the hanging rack with an old TV on the dresser. The outlets were so overused [... read more]
Riu Palace Costa Rica: The Riu Palace is truly a Palace
There was nothing not to like. The service at the bars was quick, all 5 Dining Experiences were excellent and the hotel was immaculate which reflects the non stop cleaning - floors, windows etc. The grounds were looked after all the time and showed it. The pools were clean and proper temperature.
Riu Playa Blanca: Great resort
Hotel was very nice..clean and friendly staff. Never line ups except @A la carts because you didn't need reservations. Food was fabulous in the buffet dinning.. Always something different and lots for the kiddies.. Would have been nice to have servers at the beach & pools but very few line ups at the bars. Drinks were made to perfection.. So not a huge minus.. Our room was great with ocean views and green belt.Always clean ,no complaints..Grounds were beautiful, all flowers were starting [... read more]
