Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Nice Resort

My wife and I were at the beach side of the resort from March 20-28, 2017. We really enjoyed our time here and there's lots of good things about the resort. Most of the staff were great, but some grumpy. Most of the restaurants were also good. However we did not enjoy the Spanish restaurant as they took excessively long time to serve our dinner and check on us. We had problems with our room as we had booked a ground level beach front premium room. Knowing this the premium registration desk put u [... read more]s into a second floor non premium room. They did put us into the proper room after we spoke up about it. After getting our room we had to get hotel maintenance to fix the hot water and the TV. Also the staff were very loud first thing in the morning waking us up several days in a row. So while there's lots of enjoyable aspects to this resort, we would not go back to this one. Also being a first time Trip Advisor client, my wife and I did not get any of the vouchers we should have had for our trip beforehand. It was only from a lengthy phone call a day or two before our trip we learned of the proper connection for our shuttle bus to the hotel. Also our voucher(s) for additional services (on-site hotel services) that was part of our pre-paid package was never given to us. We have enjoyed many all inclusives before but we felt like Tripcentral just doesnt connect all the dots as well as our past holidays with other providers. Still, we enjoyed our trip, the location and most everything was very enjoyable.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Excellent Resort

The grounds were superb, trolley system efficient, pools nice but difficult to find a chair, food excellent at buffets, fair at a la carte, rooms 3.5 star. The staff were pleasant and anxious to please, always greeted you with "hola". Rooms overated!

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Great Vacation

Barcelo Bavaro Beach - great complex, wonderful pool, beautiful beach, lots of chairs, all restaurants at both locations wonderful, people working are the best so polite and helpful. one issue is the wi fi issue my wife would only return if the wi fi issue was to improve, i kind of agree we have been to many places around the globe, this was by far the worst for wi fi service example in Korea there is no charge and wi fi is available everywhere even here in our home town it is very accessible [... read more]. The rate at which is charged is way too much and it still isn't any good. Hopefully in time this does improve and the service is provided at no cost.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: I didn't want to leave!!!

The resort was big! But everything was central which was awesome.. nice big pool, buffet and lounge with free wifi!! The night entertainment was great, and the drinks were even better!! Can't wait to go back

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great Resourt

Excellent Facilities, rooms, pools, beach, location, restaurants, staff very friendly, will return when possible. I have recommended this resort to my friends. Also medical services available, which I had to use, and was very well looked after.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: One of the best vacations!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings. Maybe a little more rain than expected and probably would chose January or February if was to return. Basically a first class place!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: excellent resort

this resort was 5 star all the way really had a good time. Staff were friendly, rooms were made up nice on a daily bases, beach was amazing ,the food choices were great,lots of places to sit on the beach. good selection of alcohol.

Whala Boca Chica: Priced right for the Resort and Services

We just returned from The Don Juan beach resort last weekend. The resort was good value for the money. The food, although repetitive, was tasty and abundant. Staff did their best to accommodate any of our requests/concerns. Accommodations were a little dated but fairly clean. Again on vacation how much time do you really spend in your room. We stayed on the Adult side (highly recommended), so their was very little disruptions at night etc. The bar staff was great however bring a Bubba  [... read more]Mug so you don't have to refill every 10 minutes. For Pina Coladas and the fruity drinks you have to specify with Rum / Vodka the first time. They catch on after that and know their audience. We liked the close proximity to the main drag. It looks a little seedy but during the day it is quite safe. Stay to the main drag and you will see a bit of the culture and some tasty restaurants along the way. The more of you in a group the better. All in all we were generally satisfied with the resort for the money we paid. A 3 star is a 3 star, But if you are looking for ,like us, A bed, Some Booze, and a beach this is the way to go, If you are looking for the ultimate romantic getaway and getting pampered... Spend some more money.

Paradise Playa Dorada: I would go back

We took a recommendation from a travel agent at trip central and she told us to go here. It is close to the airport which is nice. The resort is amongst other resorts and is very secure (friendly security guards all over resort at all hours). We checked in at night with no issues and from that point entering the resort until the day we left the staff were great. We did tip after every meal and when we got drinks but you never felt pressured to do so. The beach location we thought was one of the best when we walked the beach. There were other resorts when we were walking that had not many people there. The location is also very nice and in somewhat of a cove so the water was more calm. Being in our mid twenties we wanted to meet some people but also not go to a resort with a bunch of 18 year olds. The report was a good mix of ages. The food was excellent in the buffet. The a la carte restaurants were also very good. There is an Italian one (more formal) and another one on the beach. We liked the one on the beach more but both were great. If I have to mention any cons it would be that a couple nights our shower did not have hot water...We probably could have moved rooms or brought it to a maintenance workers attention but it wasn't a huge deal. I would definitely recommend going to this resort and would go back myself. Cheers.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing

Stayed at the Grand Bahai in Jamaica, Mexico and Punta Cana. Absolutely love this Chain! Food was great! Staff very friendly and accommodating! Rooms very spacious and clean! Always something to do and new things to see.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful resort.

This resorts grounds, rooms and dining areas were very well maintained. This resort has a beautiful beach with easy access to areas for food and drink. Many pools to use and places for kids to play at (swim water park and mini put).

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing time and Fantastic Resort

This resort is amazing, the grounds are huge and the beach is 1st class. We loved the employees at the resort as well as the transfers. The food offered at this resort is the best I have ever had. Each night was a different restaurant and the food at each was delious and the desserts were to die for. The only complaint that I would have is the reception, they were very slow and didn't understand english very well. Once we were checked in everything went great and we had a great time.

Whala Boca Chica: Awesome week:)

Such a great time, met a lot of great new friends and still keeping contact, love how boca chika is just outside the resort, good places to eat if your sick of the everyday buffets, want to return here for another great week in the future for sure:))

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: Excellent resort

Frist time to a all inclusive resort and we loved it .Anything we needed we just asked and they would try to find it for us ,food was awesome ,always had entertainment every night which the boys loved ,the staff loved the boys and interacted with them at all times of the day .one issue and the only issue I had was room service only came twice the whole week even when I had the sign one the door to have the room cleaned but the two times it was cleaned it was awesome .the boys and I are for sure  [... read more]going back at the end of this year. Even though they came back sick from the trip they are excited to return .I will be booking with Tanya once again as she was very helpful and gave me a few pointers which were helpful.

Riu Republica: Very nice clean resort

Impeccable grounds, large clean rooms, top notch service all around. High waves at beach most of the time (red flag). The food was good. Drinks are somewhat watered down but ok just the same. There aren't many English speaking staff here but we managed just the same, all super friendly.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Absolutely fantastic resort and we simply love it.

Occidental Punta Cana: The resort was beautiful. The grounds were lovely! Ocean was awesome!

Everything was wonderful except for the food. The buffet featured a lot of the same things. The La Carte restaurants were not the greatest. The only one that I would go back to was the steakhouse. After dining at the mexician restaurant I became violently sick at 2am in the morning so that one was certainly off the list. Overall a beautiful spot but needs some work in the food department as far as variety and presentation.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Beautiful resort. First Class

Sunscape was immaculate, the grounds were constantly being groomed. The staff were most helpful and pleasant. Good choice of day trips, we loved the City Tour with Luna Tours to Santo Domenico. Good value, and most educational. Our room was in block 28 and was enormous, bar fridge that was stocked complimentary daily, coffee maker, plenty of thick thirsty towels, two rain forest shower heads in the largest bathroom we have ever had. Selection of buffet was constantly being changed and everything was delicious, great mixture of salads, fresh breads of every description, creative desserts. Beach BBQ and bars available all over. Cute Coffee shop open 24 hours a day with selections of pasties and sandwiches. Entertainment nightly. Beach was always very busy, giant retaining blocks sit 50 feet in the water, the shore line looks like it is being seriously reduced. Security were ever present, throughout the property and along the beach. We left supplies for the local school which gladly accept any donations. Giving children in the city or villages money or treats is not encouraged at all. The idea being that it sends the wrong message. Taking enough $1 US bills is a good idea, any tip is most gratefully received. No Complaints. Thank you Rick our travel agent for making all the arrangements smoothly. Terrific value. Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata: Beautiful Resort :)

I had a great stay at the Beach House! Bed was sooo comfy, resort was very clean as were the rooms. Food in the buffet was tasty (I didn't eat in the other 2 restaurants). Staff was super friendly and helpful!! The grounds are very pretty but most of all I loved the size of the beach area, nothing but room sit play or lay around.

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Great resort

The resort was really nice, rooms can use some updating and entertainment can be a bit better , the buffet was great! Food was awesome just a bit repetitive... the a la carte restaurants need too step it up ... food and service from ala carte was good but not spectacular... over all an awesome resort.. beautiful beach! And well worth it
