Samba Vallarta: Quaint, Quiet, Lovely Resort.

They really keep the place clean. Spotless. They accommodated our request for a room close to everything. The resort is small. Very good for people with mobility issues. The staff were great. Their smiles were genuine. The manager came around and asked about your stay and was doing it out of real concern for the welfare of the guests.They were willing to accommodate. They even helped me with my plate at the buffet when they saw me with my cane. Gardens are lovely. The food was good. There isn’t the selection that you have at other bigger resorts but there was always fresh fruit, fresh salad and their was always enough of a selection that you had a lovely meal. The linens on the bed are a bit tired but they were clean. This resort is great for anybody that has severe mobility problems because it is small. It is family oriented and the kids were well behaved. What was nice about it was that people just wanted to relax. There weren’t people getting stupid drunk.This is a good resort for families and they have lots of activities for the kids. It is only 20 minutes from the airport so a nice quick transfer to the resort. We are planning on going back next year, hopefully for 10 days. This place is a little gem.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Looks just like the pictures!

The Resort was pristine, the staff helpful and the atmosphere relaxing. This was our first time here and stayed for one week. We stayed in an oceanfront room, and relished waking up to the view and sounds of the waves each morning. We ordered room service a couple of times because we couldn't believe it was included in the cost - and was delicious! We took advantage of the spa faciliti [... read more]es (guests have free access to the spa facilities for 1 hour each day) and it was wonderful, especially the delightful pool. We also were regulars at the coffee shop for our morning caffeine jolts, and took turns with various specialty coffees and teas. We spent one day in the star club rooftop complete with massages, hot tub and drinks - a beautiful vantage point for sunset watching :) Overall this place was fantastic and we are planning to return next year!

Riu Vallarta: Very nice,

this would be my least favorite riu resort that i have been to. Resort is nice,but needs a makeover and the new format for booking al a carte restaraunts is very dumb. Also they need more washrooms for the pool and beach area, currently there is only one for both pools and the beach. The food was good and the staff were very helpful . Overall , you cant go wrong with the riu resorts

Posada Real Los Cabos: Posada Real Los Cabos provided an authentic Mexican experience.

This resort is exactly what we expected. The grounds were very picturesque and very well kept. The food and restaurants with veranda were fantastic with extremely friendly staff at all times. I cannot express just how pleased we were with the food and the variety offered over the 7 day stay. There truly was something for everyone. There was a golf course, extra buckets for kids to make castles, a foosball table. mini-golf, spa, great snack bar and beach volleyball. The rooms were clean and [... read more] comfortable and it was a nice treat to find hammocks out in the garden that we could use. The pool and hot tub were also well kept and there were a variety of chairs to choose from. This hotel had a fantastic line-up of entertainment as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our West Jet rep, Victor, was on site most days and also a great help for our questions. One thing that could improve is the workout area-very old equipment.

Posada Real Los Cabos: Wonderful family resort

The food and the service was outstanding. We loved the authentic cuisine and the friendly staff. If you are looking for a family holiday and prefer a low-key setting without a cookie-cutter chain hotel feel - this is the place for you.

The Sian Ka'an at Grand Tulum: Not a true "adult only"resort....

Nice grounds..pools lovely with lots of seating but not heated..resort kept very clean..all staff helpful and friendly but lack of enough staff.ie one bar tender for lobby bar and pool bar..up to 20min to get a drink Only some rooms renovated..not like brochure says(although clean ours looked like a 4 star cuban hotel)and only few oceanfront rooms..as many folks paid for those rooms and did not get them (staff told us this happens weekly)and many rooms have no balconys. Costa Club Punta Arena: ATTENTION! DO NOT BOOK PACKAGE!!!Horrible Experience!

Loud jack hammer is working from 9 am to past 7 pm EACH SINGLE DAY right next to the hotel plus there has been reno work done on the Costa Club too every day of the stay!Air Canada Rep Tino did not do anything to relocate me to a different hotel, he said I should pay in full the difference and hope for the refund from TripCentral.TripCentral agent referred back to the Air Canada Rep.I felt nobody cared! Sent 2 email complaints and made a call. Nobody responded to email! I was provided HOTEL ADVI [... read more]SORY 2 days prior to the trip...as if you can change the package 2 days prior to your flight. Hotel Manager gave me a different room, but still you can hear the loud noise all the time!Had to escape each day to downtown/booked day trips to avoid getting more aggravated and disappointed - that increased the overall cost of the trip.Far from being a peaceful and quiet time.Rooms have cockroaches,spiders and geckos LOL!Staff is friendly though.Food at the buffet is fine,not much variety though. Italian restaurant is way better.Book with the reception staff before 2pm. Beach is not very clean, entertainment is less than mediocre...but if someone warned me as I was booking the trip, I would not have gone at all! if it was not for the noise, it was a good price otherwise.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Great resort

It was my first experience traveling all inclusive and it was just amazing!! Super clean environment, excellent food and very friendly staff!!! I would give A+ to this hotel with confidence and recommend it to everyone

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Absolutely amazing service

My family and I just enjoyed 7 nights at this wonderful resort. It was a beautiful resort with wonderful service. We stayed in the preferred section. The rooms were spacious and the pool was quiet. Just what we were looking for. Our only complaint was that the pool concierge reserved all the seats at the main pool. It wasn’t until the third day that we figured out to ask him for lounge chairs and the beach was a bit rocking. We would definitely would consider going back on the future [... read more].

Holiday Inn Ixtapa: Holiday Inn Resort, Ixtapa

Resort in Ixtapa was great, personal fantastic and main reason for going back for the 11th year. Location to town great, beach is the best you could ever ask for. Food is another story. Breakfast and lunch good bit evening meals terrible. Alacarte menus bad, buffet tolerable. We ate in town 11 o f the 14 days for evening meals. New management will hopefully correct the meal situation.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Nice resort

Nice and clean resort good location. Beach is rocky friendly staff. Pools are nice.Dress code for male at Italian restaurant is ridiculous. Food is good. Would recommend this resort. Nightly entertainment is ok.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: very nice grounds

Exceptional grounds , well cared for forest and walkways. Very small decks on the third floor , barley room for 1 chair. The best choice of food in our 15 other trips. The pools were very good and clean. Dinning areas were very clean. The only real complaint was the # of stairs. over 100 stairs to get from our room to the breakfast and dinning areas. I saw 6 people fall down , some of them were hurt. There no lighting on most of them and some steps were 4 inchs high.

Grand Oasis Sens: Okay

Nice enough hotel. Set aside at least 2 hours every morning to book dinner reservations for next day! Good entertainment shows. For some reason getting drinking water way harder than getting alcohol. Strong winds every day. Never allowed to dip a toe in the ocean.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Very nice

I was impressed with the service! I could get gluten free food at all the restuarants but sometime not much flavour. There is still some education needed for the waiters and cooks. The pools were nice but could not always find a lounger to lay on. The breeze off the ocean made the heat bearable.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great resort for kids and adults with beautiful lush surroundings

I would give this resort 4.5 stars if I could cause of the rocky beach, but this is a great resort regardless with many activities for kids and adults alike. The facilities were really nice, as were most of the restaurants. Water hoes are a must if you decide to go into the water on the beach. The great equalizer is the fact that we were able to use the Sandos Playacar Beach Resort for beach time and we spent most of 2 days there for the beach with access the main buffet restaurant and the bars  [... read more]by the main pool and beach. It great to have access to both resorts. The cenote and the Jade River at the Eco Resort were also really nice for swimming and snorkeling. My favourite pool was the smaller Turtuga Pool that was a little deeper and more relaxing in terms of atmosphere. All in all we really liked the resort and loved the beach at Sandos Playacar. Service was excellent and the property is amazingly lush and green with many animals and other adventures that await guests at this gem of an ecologically friendly paradise. I definitely recommend the resort if you are looking for something more and different than just a great beach resort. Thanks to all the great staff who made this a great visit to the Riviera Maya! We also booked an excursion with Soy La Pesera and that was absolutely amazing.

Grand Oasis Sens: where to start???

First impressions the hotel is older with some renos done, the rooms need upgrading and the water pipes need major work as we had no water in our rooms for 3 days during the day . Trying to get a bottle of water is like pulling teeth or a dinner reservation get there before the 8 am start time or you are SOL. I was in tears trying to get a dinner reservation for my husbands 50th BDay. Major issue our safe did not work the whole week thankfully we were with a group and we used theirs. They a [... read more]re seriously under staffed 1 girl serving coffee with a line up 20 deep or the lobby bar at night with only 1 bartender. Hard to give a rating for the service most wait staff tried very hard but run off their feet.

Live Aqua Cancun: Best Resort Ever!!

Live Aqua is a top notch Cancun Beach Resort. The layout is really amazing encompassing lush vegetation within several outdoor restaurants. The pools are very well maintained and vary in temperature. The infinity pool is such a treat to look out from it out to the beautiful blue waters of the Carribean Sea. This resort has a beautiful beach with attentive lifeguards. The food is excellent at all 7 restaurants and they over a large variety of fine dining from Italian to Thai to Mexucan and Canadian/American food. The rooms are well appointed. They are very comfortable with beautiful views. The quality of service from all staff is what makes Luve Aqua a step above all other resorts we have visited. The warmth and caring service make a huge impression on you which will want you to return again. Staff will do anything to accommodate your wishes and needs. If you ask for something, they will find it or do it for you. The staff are an exemplary example of well above average service and teamwork.

Princess Mundo Imperial: Very happy

We were a little leery of going to Acapulco as it has not had the best press reviews in a few years, but we were impressed from the time we got off the plane until we left. It didn't seem any different from the same drive in Los Cabos or Cancun. The resort was huge and beautifully maintained. The rooms were large and the views were really nice no matter where your room faced. There were no problems with the beds or pillows .The bathroom had double sinks and the water pressure was fine. All th [... read more]e workers we met were very nice. There was no place at the resort where a host would not go to get you a drink or food and return with a smile. We actually felt good leaving tips as they were well earned. Probably the only down side of whole place was the lack of English speakers. Very few people spoke it, which led to a few animated discussions. Then again it's their country, maybe we should learn more Spanish. I think this city has worked hard to change its image and I would highly recommend it as a resort destination. That being said, we never left the resort as it had everything we needed for a great weeks stay.

Pluses -fantastic food &Premium drinks -very well cared for grounds and common areas -9 pools all are lovely -nice walking trails amongst tropical foliage and wildlife (monkies etc) -room service menu included sea bass, Cornish hens, wine etc -concierge and resort staff attentive to requests -numerous restaurants to choose from. Villa del Palmar Beach Resort: Good location.never get the room you have booked without an argument,eel you miss out on at least one day of holiday

Place is clean,waiters,housekeeping very good. Always seems to be overbooked.should not have to move from room to room when you have precooked. Front desk not very understanding.beach not as clean as it could be.
