Marina Fiesta Resort and Spa: Location, Location, Location!!!

I chose Cabo San Lucas as a vacation destination where my brother and I can enjoy the beaches, the landscape and wildlife, and the nightlife that the city has to offer. I COULD NOT HAVE PICKED A BETTER HOTEL FOR THIS. The location is unbelievable; 2 min walk from Medano Beach (gorgeous swimmable water) and 2 min walk from all the hottest bars, restaurants, and clubs in Cabo. The view of the marina and mountains from our balcony was gorgeous and the food was superb. My only complaint with this re [... read more]sort is that NO bar is open past 10pm. Actually, the bartenders sstart packing up at 9:30pm, which is really annoying. Drinks at the clubs were expensive because of this. My advice for party goers staying here: bring some bottles with you to pre drink after the bars close. Other than that, I could not have picked a better destination or hotel for my vacation!!

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Awesome Place to Stay!

We stayed the beginning of January which included New Years Eve. Our stay at the resort was exceptional. We travel a lot and we both agreed that this resort has the best service of all of the resorts that we've stayed at over the years. The staff were super friendly and were "on" 24/7 - they rarely missed an opportunity to go above and beyond. The resort itself was beautiful and super clean. Entertainment was just off the lobby and although a bit cheesy at times, overall we really enjoyed it and liked because it was located in a more open area it was easy to come and go. And the location was fantastic. Out back was the lush green resort area with pools and beach and then out front one could be on 5th Ave. with a 2 min. walk. One thing we wouldn't repeat would be to participate in their New Years celebration. We've had better. It just wasn't worth the extra expense of travelling before New Years.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Comfortable Resort

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and filled my expectations on what I was looking for in a resort. Quiet, good food and good service. My only complaint was that people placed towels on some comfortable chairs both by the pool and beach and then didn’t use them. This is disrespectful and ignorant. There should be some sort of time limitation or regulation.

Riu Tequila: Fantastic week in the sun

Everything was exceptional: food, service, excursions, comfortable and spatious room. Every day I woke up early to experience as much of the area and sunshine as possible. A short break from the cold back home was rejuvinating.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Occidental Xcaret

We had a great time at this resort. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Monkeys swinging through trees and on our balcony, flamingos, deer, iguanas everywhere. It was lovely. The drinks and food were plentiful. The beach/cove was closed and mirky as a recent storm created a sanddune which closed the opening, but a natural beach formed due to it which we enjoyed. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. We would return.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing Honeymoon!

This resort was absolutely beautiful! Great food and good service. Premium liquor used for the drinks. This resort is huge and with so many pools to choose from you never felt crowded even though it was prime holiday time. Everyone was friendly. You don't have to reserve a restaurant and only need to wait a bit for a table. We did not see the need to upgrade to the diamond club. One thing we didn't care for was our first room overlooked the mangrove. Would have like an ocean view but the hotel was fully booked so pool view was fine. This resort has a beautiful beach, however....they seriously need to do something about the weeds. They wash up on shore and for some reason the resort does not remove them. There is a ridge of weeds constantly on the beach. We did see them using a tractor to rake them up but can see weeds falling back out onto the beach. They do this during the day when everyone is on the beach. This is something that should be done in the very early morning before people start heading to the beach. Not very appealing when you are lying there and the tractor is slowly going by. At other resorts the beach is cleaned very early so that guests are annoyed by the weeds. This is a wonderful resort and we will definitely be going back again!

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: First class resort!

Every aspect of this resort is first class and customer focused. The staff is fantastic, the food is great, the grounds are beautiful, the rooms, clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a top notch resort this is the place to go.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Great Family Resort!

The FOOD was exceptional! Even the buffet was a hit! Only down side was all of the algae (kelp) that washed up to shore. The poor men would be clearing it for the majority of the day only for it to return a few hours later. Not sure if this is 'that time of year' thing. Overall fantastic resort! Would highly recommend.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: 2 weeks in paradise

We stayed from Feb 3 to Feb 17 for the second time. What can I say beautiful weather in a wonderful resort we enjoyed it even more this time. Great food great rooms and a lot of new friends. Service was excellent rooms were spotless and a bed as comfy as home. We can't wait to go back and are planning a week in November. Thanks Blue Bay and everyone that works there.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Lovely resort

Just returned from two weeks at Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort. Lovely resort, especially well suited for anyone with mobility issues. Easy to get around with proper wheel chair ramps. The accessible rooms have a properly accessible bathroom but beds are VERY low and may be difficult for some people. Rooms are simple but well maintained and very clean. The spa is too expensive so did not use it.

TRS Yucatan: Luxurious, relaxing, vacation

We had impeccable service and friendly hospitality, a well-maintained, gorgeous grounds with fabulous food. Access to three other resorts was great value. Lots to do on-site; we never felt we had to leave the resort for entertainment.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Fantastic stay!!

Easy booking with no issues through Tripcentral. Hotel and grounds were nicely kept and staff was very accommodating. We booked a few excursions through the hotel..Ricardo,our Westjet rep., was very helpful and a genuinely great guy.

Secrets The Vine Cancun: The shine is somewhat off our favourite Secrets

This hotel is still our favourite Secrets, but it was a little disappointing this time for two reasons. We stayed from Feb 10th to 17th celebrating my birthday and Valentine’s Day. The accommodations and food were excellent, but by the 14th dozens of 20 somethings from a company called Eight Eleven had descended wreaking havoc. They would have been much more comfortable at Breathless. We go to Secrets because it is an upscale adult venue and we always buy preferred. We don’t like screami [... read more]ng children, but screaming 20 something’s are almost worse. We are also UVC members are were told that we would always have access to late checkout. Secrets the Vine did not honour that commitment this time and made us leave the room at 1:00 even though our flight wasn’t until 8:25. Overall it was still an awesome holiday just a little disappointing due to these factors.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Good times!!!

Very nice resort. Good food, lots to do, and lots to see. Take the time to find out everything that is offered so you do not miss anything. Party pool and quiet pool gives you choice. High waves every day kept us from enjoying the ocean the way we would have liked to. People working there - so nice and helpful.

Moon Palace Cancun: Heaven on earth

Great place great food great room, great pools. Beach had lots of seaweed. Staff was phenomenal and friendly. The constant up selling including timeshare type was hard to take. The credits were hard to spend and every time you did it cost you money.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Best all inclusive so far!

We went down with 2 couples and stayed on the second floor rooms 6249 and 6239. Both rooms were equally good with ample space and great views of the lush tropical bush. Lots of songbirds to great you every morning as well as big Igwanans. If you can’t enjoy yourself at this resort you are really too picky and should do some soul searching! We never waited more than a couple minutes usually less the 10 seconds for a drink. When you see the size of this place that’s amazing! We stayed at the Colonial but the sister resorts, Tropical, Caribe, Beach, and Palace. All are beautiful and accessible except the Palace (5star) I will warn that although accessible for handicapped people this place is huge and a lot of walking is required! Shows were decent but got repetitive if all were taken in. Would go back in a New York minute, Thank you Karol from trip central for the recommendation!

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Nicest Hotel Ever!

This is an amazing place. It was much larger than I imagined however that made it even better because of the amazing selection of bars, restaurants, pools etc. The public areas of the resort were beautiful - clean, elegant, spacious, well maintained and a please to use. The gym and spa were wonderful - the gym had all brand new equipment and was a pleasure to use while the spa was just amazing - the hydrotherapy area was huge with a big variety of pools and showers and the massage rooms [... read more] were relaxing and quiet. Although there was only one buffet, and it got a little busy at breakfast, the quality and selection of the food was wonderful - and kudos to the hotel for putting deserts and other foods behind glass - much more hygienic. The food itself was wonderfully presented and beautifully cooked and was the best i have eaten from more than 20 all inclusive hotels. Try the Royalton chicken! I was stunned by the number and quality of the specialty restaurants. I am used to seeing recycled buffet food in these places served by people who don't know what they are talking about but here I was incredibly surprised by the food quality, its presentation, and the understanding of the servers. I made it to 5 of the restaurants and they were all good and some were great!. Best of all, no reservations needed - that makes life so simple! Another great thing was the quality products they served at the bars - all the drinks were premium and there was a huge selection of everything that one could want - very nice! Our room was huge and luxurious - our view of the wall around the property was not great but that's my faults - I should have shelled out for oceanview. what was great was the unlimited 24 hour room service - breakfast delivered when you want it is a great way to start the day. Entertainment was incredible - shows were on all the time and the only downer was that I could not see everything I wanted to. The best thing about this place was the staff - they all seemed to be loving their jobs and were always smiling. They were friendly and helpful and most were also very competent in English too. I thought they were great. Although the beach sand was very nice for walking, you should note that due to the offshore reef, they get a lot of seaweed in the water and on the beach - they try to keep it clean but it is a big job

Gran Festivall: Never again!! Stay away at all costs!

As soon as we arrived the problems with this resort started. We were asked for a 500 peso deposit for a lock for the safe in our room. Not such a big deal but when you have paid $4000+ dollars to stay there I found this very unnecessary. We were driven to our villa by the bus boy and that is where the positives ended. We were in a 2 bedroom villa with our 3 children. It was worn down moldy and just plain gross. Other people hair all over the villa, bugs everywhere, , only sheets on the bed no bl [... read more]ankets. We requested blankets at the front desk got towels as no staff at this resort speaks english. Upon arriving in our villa I attempted to use the toilet. It didn't flush neither did the one in the second bathroom. Turned on the taps and nothing... In went to the front desk to request a room change where I was told they were having problems with the water and it would be back on an hour. We then inquired if once the water came back if the water slides would be operational we were told they were under maintenance for an undetermined length of time as well as the zip line.Both looked like they had been closed for quite some time. These were the main reasons we booked this resort. An hour came and went and nothing we were then told it would be on by the end of the night and to go and enjoy dinner. This was a whole other experience. The outdoor buffet was so covered on ants it could have walked off on its own. Nothing was labeled in English which would be a big deal if the food was at all edible but it all looked like three day old leftovers combined to make new disgusting dishes. The service was good keep my beer full which is good because I needed them!! Me and my husband attended the night club that evening and had a good enough time dispite the to tolites being full of waste due to the no water issue. We the returned to our villa to sit on the patio only to watch all the other guests bring their garbage cans to the pool to bail out water for their rooms. The beds are tiny and rock hard would have been better to have slept on the floor which is where I ended up more then once after rolling out over the course of the night. In the morning still no water and no answers for the desk just another lie about when it would be back on. By this time other guests were literally bathing in the pool and using the waterfall at the kids pool as a shower!! We met with our sunwing rep that morning and were promised the water would be on by 4:00. That came and went without any change. By this time we were starting to wonder how they were washing dishes or food and even cooking it with any sort of sanitary measures. Around 4:30 we finally go the news that our sunwing rep was able to move us. Thank god if I had to stay minute longer at the living hell I think my whole family would have got ecoli or worse!! If you have stayed at this hotel in the past know that it in nowhere near where it used to be. We were even told by a fellow Canadian that he witnessed a very large rat swimming across the main pool and then it laid dead on the pool side for more then a hour after the staff was informed that it was there. We were loved to hotel call Tesoro and it was above and beyond anything we could have imaged. Your web sight gave it a 3+ rating and Grand festival a 3 rating. Festivall is 1 on its best day. Tesoro deserves at least a 4. It would be in your companies best interest to drop Gran Festivall as one of you options or I imagine you will be reading many more reviews like these.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Best Vacation EVER!!!

The service was extraordinary. The hotel was clean and the grounds pristine. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Even thought he resort is not on the beach, the jungle atmosphere added a new dimension to the vacation. It was a short trolley ride to the beach, and was always a good opportunity to see all of the resort .
