Grand Decameron Panama: Great resort

Good food. Good drinks. Well maintained resort. We had no issues at all. You must remember that countries like this do not have a high as standards as we Canadians. However they treat you well and rooms are standard but clean. This resort is very concerned about security so if u have your door open they will call u to close even if u r in it. But that protects them as well as you. BIGGEST downfall is distance from airport. Would be nice if transatlantic holidays would get flying rights into the  [... read more]close airport. If you want hot weather this. Is the place.

Grand Decameron Panama: Great resort

Food: I am a very picky eater, however I was almost always able to find something to eat that I enjoyed. The El Cayuco was by far my favorite restaurant. Service: Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. My boyfriend has a peanut allergy and we found them to be very accomodating in regards to this issue.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Wonderful Trip

We traveled the end of January 2015, It was a trip I took with my 19 year old son. The Resort was small but thats what we liked about it. Even though there is only one buffet and one a la carte, they variety of food was good. We did not get sick of eating the same thing everyday. Rooms were very clean, The on [... read more]ly draw back is I was there with my son and the shower/bathroom door is semi frosted glass so privacy was a little hard for us, it would be fine with a spouse though. The location is great, right across the street from the Mega store (similar to Walmart, everything you need there), and to catch the bus to go up to the markets up town was $1.00 for a 5 m-10 min bus ride. We felt very safe in town, and the "hassling" at the market was very minimal. (that was quite the opposite at Cabo San Lucas). I won a massage at the spa and felt like a queen, they certainly went out of their way to make my experience a memorable one. They had activities panned every day, stretching on the beach at 9am was one of my favourites as on a couple of occasions I saw the whale breaching in the ocean. The beach is more like small gravel than sand (but kept quite clean) and there is no swimming as the undertow is bad, but because the pools were so nice we did not miss that at all. I have been to Mexico a few times and I honestly have to say this was one of my favourite trips.

Hotel was great / Food was Great... Drinks were great..... This resort is very large and lots to do. Be prepared for lots of walking but there are shuttles available as well.... Must go to Woodys bar on the beach !

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: got what I paid for

The staff were great everything else was just ok. The room was old n plain. The bathroom needs work tub and tiles had stains. On thursday when I went to shower the water stopped running was told this happens each week. The light went out numerous times. Food was not impressive for Jamaica. The beach was good. Entertainment was ok. Location was great close to activities/clubs/restaurants and walking distance to the centre of the town. Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: This was a 3 star resort

I was leery about staying at a 3 star resort as I have always gone 5 star. I must say it was clean, friendly, food was fabulous. It was small but very well kept and we had a great time. I would go again for sure. My only complaint is that the bungalows we reserved were not available to us for the first 2 days of our stay and we were downgraded to rooms. They did make it up to us though and we were very satisfied in the end.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Decameron Los Cocos

A very good area to immerse into authentic Mexico. A slow paced non-american resort with very good food. Not for the party crowd or singles looking for the "what happens in..." crowd. There are many excursions locally and Sayulita is 45 minutes down the road.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Most enjoyable vacation

I was pleasantly surprised by this resort. Classed as a 3-star, the grounds, service, facilities, entertainment and food all exceeded my expectations. The simple, tidy room lacked an ocean view, but little time was spent there. Conveniently close to the beach, restaurant and bar, apart from the sound of waves, it was relatively quiet. I liked the yoga and zumba classes and bicycles offered by the resort and the always friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious, fresh and plentiful.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Wonderful Resort

Right on the beach which is a must. Colorful colonial style architecture and beautiful grounds. All open air restaurants which I like. Lots of friendly staff and efficiently run. Ocean view rooms in building one were rather small but clean and beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed having the sliding doors open all night. There were no privacy walls between balconies but we had nice chats with our neighbors. One had to get to the beach really early to claim a spot. Beach and surf were great.

Decameron Aquarium: Aquarium best resort on the island

my husband and I, returned to the Aquarium after a 7 year gap in Jan 2015. We had bragged about this island and the resorts to our friends for years, so they came with us. Now they understand why we love this island so much. The airlines took off this flight from Toronto and you can only get to San Andres from Montreal. We finally said whatever it takes to get back there we were willing to do. We flew out of Billy Bishop Airport(way better than Pearson)and landed in Montreal within an hour. Port [... read more]er is the way to fly and very reasonable. Stayed the night at a motel and flew out early the next morning. Check in was quick and easy, as you were greeted with a cold fruity drink, and smiles. We were in our rooms within 10 minutes. The rooms were clean and the views are spectacular. The pool area is beautiful and plenty of seating. Not once do you feel crowded. My favorite spot is the pier bar, with plenty of lounge chairs for all. They also have an awesome salt water pool with great snorkelling right off the pier. Bartenders there are outstanding, and they remembered us from 7 years ago. Now that's personal service Food was awesome, and there was always a variety. They have 2 buffets and 3 al a cartes. The Thai restaurant was to die for, Italian was amazing, and the Seafood was also great. We had everything from pork chops, cooked ham, turkey, chicken, fish, pasta, and the list goes on. They also have a snack shack that is open 11am-5pm, 11pm- 2am, that serves hotdogs, fried potatoes, fried plantain, & more. Entertainment at the pool area every night was interesting and always different, so it could get a little loud, but it only lasts for one hour. The MC was very friendly and had such great personality. I'd like to say a special thanks to all the staff that made this trip amazing, and to the many that remembered us after all these years. Your friendliness is heart felt and is the reason we will be back time after time. Best thing about the Decameron resort is you stay at 1 and play at all 5. As you are out and about in the city and island make sure to visit every one of them. They all have their special touch. As for excursions, make sure to do the Acurio and Johnny Cay island tour, as it will blow your mind. The waters are the 7 blues of the ocean, snorkelling is amazing and the beaches are great. Rent a golf cart for the day and tour the entire island on your own, as we did. The whole island is so safe and we made sure to meet and visit with as many locals as we could. If you are a shopper, you will fall in love with the city, as you could shop for a week and still not hit every store. You will read many negative reviews about these resorts, but try to ignore their ignorance as they will nit pick the simplest goofy things, which tells you they should have stayed home in the first place To the staff at the Aquarium, I would like you to know that this is our little piece of paradise, and you have all made this(AGAIN) the best trip of my life. I have travelled to many islands, but none has ever come this close to capturing our hearts. Will see you all again soon.

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Friendly and cozy!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The cottages were quaint and charming, the gardens were beautiful and well maintained, the food at the buffet and restaurants was excellent, and we loved spending time on the beach. The staff were friendly, warm and always ready to help!

Knowing this hotel was not a 5 star, I was still happy with the hotel in general. The hotel was constantly being cleaned and maintain. We stayed in the courtyard room, it was a bit outdated but I didn't really mind since I was going to be on the beach more than in the room. We didn't have hot water on the day of arrival and departure...so ended up taking cold showers out of desperation. Not sure how the bugs would be in the garden cottage areas. The beach was nice, we went to the first beach the most. I found it had less rocks in the water, stepping on a rock was a pain. Food was good, my favourite was the Jamaican themed meals. They had a snack grill which served burgers, hot dogs, patties, wings. They have tennis lessons, but apparently are not included, the guy doesn't tell you until after you have booked your lesson and show up, and then only teaches one part of the lesson and keeps trying to get you to come back...that was a bit annoying. Right outside the resort there is a strip plaza with a grocery store and gift shops that are ran by the locals. As soon as you step out the gate some of the locals are waiting to sell you weed or what ever other items they have. The resort was about an hour from Montego Bay Airport, the drive wasn't too bad, I enjoyed the scenic drive. The entertainment is excellent. They had great shows and they like involving the guest a lot. I really have no complains about this hotel a side from having no hot water. If you don't really mind having an outdated room, then you will enjoy this resort.

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Had a geat time at the Royal Decameron

Great resort with a new beautiful beach, food is fantastic, great layout with everything close by. I plan on returning soon. The entertainment was a lot of fun. Right on the Hip Strip and very close to Margaritaville

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: This real mexico and very friendly

Well I have been coming for ten years and the people are great and the service is outstanding. The town is absolutely amazing and still remember us every year. The hotel is a 3 star but to us is perfect. If you want to have the real mexico experience this the place to come to. Do not be concerned for your safety here. Always ask your travel agent for any information if you want a specific room or any other questions. Enjoy the De Cameron los cocos and have a cervaza on the ocean.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great Resort

Everything was excellent the restaurant, waiters, very helpful when needed help, room service outstanding. Resort was very well kept clean and secured. I needed help for my Asthma problems, housekeeping helped more than expected. reception desk always tried their best to solve problems. Overall best Resort I have been for Holiday. I will recommend this resort anytime.

Grand Decameron Panama: Well worth the trip to Panama!

My 23-year old daughter and I recently returned from this resort and had a wonderful time. The resort is well laid out; the pools are numerous and beautiful (particularly the infinity pool which was situated close to our room); and the proximity to the ocean is fantastic. We would definitely go again and would recommend this resort to our friends. The food and service were average (as expected) in our opinion -- not terrible, not great.

The resort is nice, the grounds are beautiful. We stayed in a garden hut, it was nice but needs some updating and a clock ,coffee maker and mini fridge would be a major benefit as some huts are further away from bar area. Not always the beautifulest walk in the early morning if you have a hangover. But other then that I was just fine. We travelled as a group of 9 and we all enjoyed are stay. Ages range from 9- 62. There is always loungers available on the beach with was also a bonus , you didn't have to run down first thing in the morning to but your towels out. Also the entertainment was ok. There was a couple really good shows. The entertainment crew work really hard, they try to get everyone to participate but don't bug you. Another bonus. They are doing renovations to the bar area and also setting up wifi throughout the resort. The beach areas are nice bigger then what I expected from reading other reviews. I thought it would be a small resort but it's not really that small. We have been on many vacations and we will decently return to this resort again.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Top notch family resort

When we first arrived we found the complex to be quite daunting in size, but after a short walk to the furthest building we realized it was perfect. The complex is divided into 6 buildings with rooms. They are all 3-4 stories and only one or two of them have elevator access. The Rooms are nice and simple but the wall are very very thin and your neighbors will be able to hear your every move and conversation. There are many many places to get food and there is quite a surprising variety to choose from depending which restaurant or buffet you choose. The quality of the food depends on where and when you get it and varies from dish to dish, but overall the food was great. The activities and animation team did a great job of entertaining the guests the entire week and the activities are clearly posted on a board to let you plan your day accordingly. There are great tennis facilities, bike rentals, kayak rentals all free of charge. Five pools scattered about the complex for easy access. A nice spa in the back corner but we did not use their services. Beautifully landscaped walking paths from building to building and the beach area. A beautiful complex. Late night disco with pool tables and every night around 9 there is entertainment at the theatre. The shows are put on very well and is great for families with slightly older children. The town of Bucerias is just a short walk away and many bars cater to the needs of every North-American sports enthusiasts. The staff is extremely friendly and the people of Mexico were kind and welcoming. I would definitely go back. Just be prepared to do a bit of walking around.

Grand Decameron Panama: Paradise

The Royal Decamaron is a beautiful, sprawling resort. There are plenty of excellent dining options, however seafood was our favourite. In terms of the service, the staff was kind and helpful. Lots of pools and a vast beach to lounge around. If you plan on doing any tours I would recommend the Panama Canal/City Tour.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Exceeded all expectations!

We feared that the hotel might not be ready following the September hurricane but everything was perfect. Can't say enough good things about the Staff, the food, the grounds and our room. I would go back in a minute.
