Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Disappointing

The pool area is beautiful The beach is gorgeous The lobby bar was good as long as you had money in your hand ready to tip. The rooms had a terrible smell to them. The mattresses had a plastic cover on them which made it terrible to sleep on. We had outlets in our room that weren't attached to the wall

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Beautiful Place

The grounds are clean and beautiful. The food is very good. We had a room near the pool, but the only issues we could complain about were that there is no coffee machine, iron or alarm clock in the rooms. These are small things, but this is the first resort in our 6 vacations to Mexico that did not provide any of these. The people were amazing as always.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice hotel

The staff are so friendly & helpful: numerous excursions organized onsite & were great. Beautiful beach. Pools are nice main pool was closed one day because it turned green. The food is what you would expect in Cuba. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Not worth the money

The resort is a 3 star. Outdated, underfunded, staff not very pleasant and food was disappointing. Would not return here ever. The only good thing they have is their room cleaning lady. She needs a raise.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Awesome trip, amazing resort and incredible people!

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous and met or exceeded all of our expectations! The food was awesome, so many different options, everything felt so fresh and homemade and satisfied all of our Mexican food cravings! The a la cart restaurants were especially fantastic, the Mexican restaurant, and the steakhouse were our favourites for sure. The entertainment was fantastic, this resort is the best option I’ve ever seen for kids! Every night they involved our children in all of the activities and our daughter truly had the best week of her life. We’re already thinking about our next trip back to this incredible resort.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing place

I just got back from this amazing resort yesterday. Iberostar Hall Rose Beach is a great place to visit, I have been returning to this resort for 7 years. The staff, entertainment and management are all so friendly and helpful and do their best to enjoy your stay.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Fail!

Room was nice. Two hour check-in because of room keys not working. Reception staff was unfriendly. Beach view was not a beach view, but mostly another outbuilding. The grass was almost waist high and grounds were unkempt. The beach was dirty - cigarette butts, weeds with burrs growing throughout the sand, empty promise of cleaning (3-6 feet wide) sea kelp off beach (never done), broken boards in board walks. Beach was weedy in the ocean! Flashing lightbulbs in hallways, pool cues missing ends [... read more] and ping pong paddles broken. Scuba boat reeking of diesel fuel, making us sick from fumes on excursion. Jeep excursion was wonderful!! Buffet staff were super sweet! There were awesome friendly guys working around! Pools were amazing, and had great snack bar workers. Acrobat performance was top notch! Flutist was really good!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Love this resort

Good room and close to main building. Clean and wonderful and friendly staff. Fantastic beach with lots of marine life. Food was good although there was little in the way of vegetables. Wine was plentiful and flowing.

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Not a 5 star hotel

I enjoyed the traditional design of the resort & the tropical jungle vibe. The beach & pools are great. Staff are also lovely (That is the standard in Mexico). Buffets - breakfast, lunch and dinner were very good Those are the positives. Negatives: the "all inclusive" is not all inclusive i.e. at this hotel a local beer (Modelo) is considered VIP/extra charge , I have never been to an all inclusive hotel with such a poor selection of brand name alcohol. I was literally told by a hotel " [... read more]customer service" employee that if I wanted a Modelo I should have booked a more expensive trip. Also, beds and pillows are terrible, broken ceiling fan, no working ice machines in the building (each building was supposed to have one on 2nd floor), if you have a lot of devices, there is only one outlet in the main living area, the a la carte restaurants were mediocre at best (and very inconsistent), buffet was better than a la carte.

Service was excellent Grounds clean and well kept Rooms clean Food very good selection Japanese and Mexican very good Italian not so good Al la cart reservations would be nice to book all in advance vs same day More food labels at the buffet needed Coffee/tea before 7 am would be nice for early risers Beach too much seaweed and garbage washing up on shore Domingo at the buffet was pleasant and very accommodating thank you !!

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Iberostar Selection Bavaro

This is an excellent resort to go to. The beach is expansive. Cleaned daily. Plenty of lounge chairs and beach umbrellas available. The variety of foods available is incredible. If you do not gain any weight than you must be running miles and miles daily. We have been here before and plan to return next year God willing..

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great vacation

Small to medium size resort that had a very nice decor and many nice features for you to enjoy. Fountain in the lobby and in the courtyard. Lots of seating in the lobby with a bar to boot. Very clean and well maintained grounds. Rooms were larger than expected. Very clean inside our room with balcony to enjoy morning coffee or a late night cap. Huge pool in the centre of the resort with lots of loungers to enjoy your sun, pool, and pool bars ( one swim up). We were a party of ten and never had a [... read more]ny problems finding loungers together by the pool or at the beach. Beach was beautiful with lots of sand and a long strip to have walks on. The water had an abundance of seaweed in most spots trying to enter/exit wasn’t ideal. The hotel had a crew to clean up the seaweed everyday off of the shore. They only had three ala carte restaurants italian, Japanese, and Mexican and the main buffet was open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also had a buffet lunch by the pool and one day we had Mexican at the beach with some great drinks at the beach bar. Staff was remarkable. Probably one of my best vacations with the staff at this resort. From first registration and bell hops with quick courteous service. Waiters, waitresses, bar tenders and kitchen staff were top notch with service, gratitude, friendliness that kept up for the entire stay. Unbelievable that we had not one issue with any staffing whatsoever and that’s with a group of ten. The staff by far make up for the little flaws or inconsistencies of the resort. The choices for breakfast lunch and dinner were good with many choices for all types of palettes but were very repetitive. On most occasions the trays with food were not labeled at all. Our ocean front view really wasn’t but should of been called palm tree view looking through the palms you could see the ocean. But like I said before the staff were amazing and that definitely outweigh the minor flaws.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Coral section of Iberostar Ensenachos

Bungalow section on the beautiful Ensenachos beach is amazing, my husband and I enjoyed our 4th stay in the coral section of this resort. We had also stayed in the spa section 3 times. It is wonderful staying in your own house in a quiet setting near the beach. The resort is immaculate, looks freshly painted. In the coral section, you can enjoy your meals in 2 restaurants. Our favourite is the beach restaurant at lunch time. Lots of good food! In the main restaurant near the pool can have for su [... read more]pper lobster bisque, Cuban soups, lobster tails, fish, steak, lamb, chicken and other choices daily. You can also eat at other restaurants in the main section of the resort. The mocha cakes at the buffet section of the resort were so delicious. The staff in the coral section are great, the manager Luis is especially kind and attentive.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Interesting Week!!

The hotel, rooms and staff are nice. However, the Customer Service Rep randomly gave out different amounts of A La Carte dinners to each guest. We had 2, another group had 3 some had 4. The whole resort is lacking in vegetables.m and the buffet was the same every day. The lounge in the evening was very smokey each night so we had to leave. Then there were a group of Russians that were very disruptive, loud, rude, naked and having sex on the beach and their balcony. Security moved them down the  [... read more]beach but their activity was never ceased. I think it will be my last visit.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Iberostar Selection Playa Pilar NOT worth to be given 4+ star

The hotel itself was not as pictured. To begin with, the swimming pools were close to green dirty colour. The food selection was not enough and when they salt the food - they put tons of it. The a-la carte restaurants were not great as well - it’s the food they serve in the daily buffet but just placed it in a nicer portion and plating. The workers maid, servers and gardeners were amazing people. Would I come back to this Hotel? No I would not and would not recommend it to anyone.

Iberostar Selection Cancun: Amazing Resort

I had an amazing time at Iberostar Selection, i went as a group and with my family. My kids loved it. The waterpark for the kids was nice also. The pools especially the infinity pool was nice. The beach was clean, no seaweed. And the food was great, ate at various restaurants during my stay and mostly at the buffet. The buffet had great options and the chefs were accommodating to request. My only complaint will be the toilet of the non renovated part of the hotel which is where i stayed. Asides  [... read more]that everything else was amazing. And the view from my room was breathtaking.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Fantastic

Everything was perfect, our family of 10 enjoyed every minute. Our room was missing a few things like a phone, robes, umbrella but it did not away a our enjoyment, we are not people who normally use room service. The service at the restaurants and buffets was excellent always greeted by smiling faces. The kids loved the Cafe and all the pools and slides. We would definitely go back.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Perfect vacation

First off thank you to Trip Central Travel Agents. AMAZING!! We loved the entertainment at Iberostar Laguna Azul. The beaches were so beautiful. Drinks great. Food was honestly pretty decent. Always found something good. Maid service was spectacular. Disco, every night entrainment show, 24hts snacks and drinks was perfect. We couldn't have been more impressed!!

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: almost a 5 but not quite yet (because of shortages - not the resorts fault)!

been to cuba numerous times and this was definitely the most beautiful resort ive stayed at! the rooms were gorgeous and modern. the swim out was 100% worth it and would highly recommend. we spent the first half of the days on the beach and from around 2ish onwards (when the sun hits the swim out area) we'd be there till dinner. it was so lovely and were really happy we went for it. everyone there was incredible. so kind and happy and always there for guests. (bring lots of $1 USD + $5 CAD  [... read more]to tip with! they prefer it to pesos and coins unfortunately aren't very useful for them - try and load up on as much $1 bills before coming because no one will break money for you from the airport or resort). food was the only downside. we were hopeful after reading all the reviews and seeing the ratings however upon getting there, things are quite limited (but its due to shortages, no fault of the resort). the only time the buffet is open is for breakfast and then the snack bar was the one open 24/7 (and provides room service which was fun - even service to the swim up!) unfortunately for the snack bar (and cuba) there was a flour shortage which left only bun-less burgers and hot dogs, no pizza, a version of chicken strips, a version of calamari, and fries at the snack bar. they sometimes had pasta too. the al a cartes were nice, but not super exciting menu-wise. overall, portions were small but they truly did the best with what they had so be mindful of their efforts! overall, i would definitely recommend this resort but i would probably suggest waiting a few more months till things/maybe check in with the resort and see if buffet is open all the time/if theres any shortages. but other than that, i definitely think its a resort worth going to!
