Iberostar Selection Holguin: Beautiful Resort

Vacationed Feb 17- 24 , 2020 ....Beautiful Resort, We stayed in building 26 which was close to beach, pool and kids splash pad area. About 4- 5 min walk to the buffet. loved the beach and our Maid was outstanding. Could not book one alacarte for the week unless we took a 9:30pm , which is not suitable for anyone I would think and we had small children. I have been to a few different resorts in Cuba and have always been able to get pizza and fries, this resort had neither. One would think  [... read more]when a resort is promoting a great resort for children they would certainly have pizza and fries. Cereal for children was only available last 2 mornings. The food at buffet was pretty much same every night. I have had much better in a 3* for an Iberostar I was disappointed.

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Amazing time

Couldn’t of been happier with our stay here! Amazing staff! Entire resort was spotless and clean! The pools and beach were incredible and well taken care of Very happy customers....Heather our travel agent was great and helped us when we needed it!

The hotel is a bit outdated ,but very clean . Everything else is beautiful, the nicest beach, the hotel band - outstanding . People are very nice. Definitely will visit again .Thanks for the nice vacation !

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Wonderful resort

This was our 3rd time at paradisus rio de oro and it did not disappoint. We have tried other Cuban resorts and always come back to this one. It is absolutely the best. The people are so friendly and efficient, they make our stay perfect. The rooms are superbly clean, well appointed and bright and airy. The staff goes out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect

Iberostar Coral Holguin: Fancy resort

The grounds and amenities were beautiful in the coral level. The service was exceptionally good, the rooms were very nice, and cleaning staff was great. The restaurants were nicely designed and the staff were very nice and professional, the chefs definitely need higher level training, to help in the flavourings and quality of there meals and menu.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Stunning!!

This resort was by far the best we've been to. We were a little sceptical going to Cuba, as this was our first trip there, but wow were we wrong. This resort has an amazing beach, lush mature grounds that are extreamly well maintained, friendly staff, quiet when you want quiet relaxation but still fun and full of entertainment when you want it. I would 100% recommend this resort. We cant wait to book again for next year.

Playa Costa Verde: Fantastic resort

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. The staff are friendly, the food was enjoyable, and the main thing I noticed was the resort was very clean. I would recommend this resort to other people, and will most likely return there the next time I travel to Cuba

Playa Costa Verde: Cuba's cozy corner

We keep going back to PCV because of the fact that the staff at PCV really works as a team. Everyone, from lobby staff to gardeners, is doing their very best to make us feel right at home. They work hard at keeping all their guests happy. The buildings are dated, but kept very clean and quite comfortable. The pool area and resort grounds are very well kept. The buffet offers a wonderful variety of food and how the food is prepared; its so important to remember that they can only work with what  [... read more]is available to them; they give us the best that they have and we have never gone hungry during any of our stays at PCV. Bread was amazing during our stay Feb 2020. PCV is located in such a way that there are many opportunities to explore the surrounding area/places. We rented scooters, rented a car, and really explored cuban countryside. It is so safe; we go anywhere without any worries and we just love the cuban hospitality which we meet every time both on as well as off the resort. PCV is an amazing place to be; it draws us back time and time again.

Playa Pesquero: Planning return visit!

I have nothing negative to say about this location, resort and the staff! Beginning to end was pure bliss! Easy check in, rooms clean and comfortable, always hot water for showers and plenty of water pressure. Loved the grounds, the beach, the pool area! The Boulevard was a fun little strip! Enjoyed the various a la carte restaurants for evening meals! Loved the lobby area and music in the evenings. Will be returning February 2021!

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Everything is great at Paradisus Rio De Oro!

Highlights include: - Great beach with lots of shaded places to sit. Lots of fish to see while snorkeling. There is always staff at the beech which is very nice. It also nice to have the wash room close to the beech and beverage bar handy. - The pool is nice too with swim up bar. Water was warm and lots of daily entertainment at the pool: volleyball, dancing, etc. - Musicians were amazing! One band played music almost all day on Cuba day on the beach. What a treat! A highlight too was the opera singers on the first night. - Everyone is friendly there and always want to please you. - Love the morning coffee in the lounge. The Buffet is very good with lots of choices, and all our restaurant meals were also very good. - Nothing at all negative to say.

Playa Pesquero: Loved it all!!!!! Best in Cuba !

This large resort does not have a feel of a large resort, but all the amenities were great for our entire family! Our two teenagers were never bored (Which gives this place 5 stars alone!!!) We loved going to the beach or the pool and never going without a beach chair, there were always tons. The snorkeling at the beach was amazing. The many restaurants made it so I didn't eat at the same place twice (Except breakfast). The staff was amazing, the service was the best from any resort we've [... read more] been to. The rooms were spacious and very clean. All the washrooms were clean and always supplied. the drinks were AWESOME!!! such variety and quality compare to other Cuban resorts we have been to. We will be going back to Playa Pesquero next year for sure!

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Iberostar Resort in Hoglguin

The hotel is very modern, the rooms were fantastic (Oceanview), the service was second to none when we got it. They need more staff. The food was adequate, if somewhat plain. What I didn’t like was that all the restaurants had shortages of food that was on the menu. It seems that most of what I wanted wasn’t available. One thing I would suggest is to raise the building numbers higher on the wall and light them. Brisas Covarrubias: Beautiful Beach!

I've been going to Cuba for years and I've stayed at resorts rated from two to five star. The beach is this resort's best asset. The minimum two hour ride to the resort is rough, the roads are in terrible condition. The resort is rundown and neglected and left just too much to be desired. The staff are friendly and they do the best they can with what little they have to do it with. I could not get in the pool even once as it just did not look clean. I brought chemical test strips to test [... read more] the water and so it confirmed the pool wasn't being treated. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Great Place

Was our second trip to this resort. It has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants and venues. Met lots of older people our age who come regularly for three weeks or more. Resort is great value for your money. A la cartes are good and there are many bars. I think this will be our Cuba hotel

Playa Costa Verde: Cuba is not my thing !

Beautiful Resort and Beach but the people and food are not comparable to the DR ..Glad I experienced it but I wont be back ! ...........................................................................

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Definitely a home away from home.

Having been to Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca several times I must say it keeps getting better and better. There have been several upgrades on the resort but the constant year after year is the staff. The Cuban folks who work there make you feel like part of their family. The warm greetings and remembering your name even if you haven't visited for a couple of years. Sincere, honest and caring. That's what Club Amigo is all about. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Great Stay!

We had a group of 8 stay at the PRDO feb 12-19. Aside from the perfect weather the resort was fantastic! The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely time. Some reviews state the beach isn’t ideal but we all found it perfect! There are some rocks but you are still easily able to lounge and swim. The pool bar staff were fantastic, Lorenzo and Osmany in particular. Food was good! The Mediterranean was very delicious and the Japanese was such a fun experience. Paradisus Rio De Oro: 2nd visit. Will be back again.

This resort, offers more than I could do in a 7 day trip. Keep in mind I'm there to relax and unwind. There is 7 hours of wifi included when you arrive, more than I required. The food is awesome for Cuba, it exceeds expectations. The entertainment staff, keep things lively considering how quiet the resort is. The vendors are polite and not pushy, they always make deal. Many people complain about missing creature comforts of home like chips, and condements, bring salt and pepper, and ketchup [... read more] packets, and individual peanut butter, if you are the things that will ruin your experience... The staff are always happy and many remembered me from my previous trip. If you have a question about what cigar is right for you, they have a fantastic Sommelier Aliens, he will be glad to help you! My maid Mariluz kept my room immaculate, and made impressive towel creations daily. I will return and I recommend you go.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Highly recommended

We were looking for a quiet place to relax and we found it! The room was perfect, clean and comfortable. The beach was amazing, soft sand to walk on, clear blue water and not overcrowded. Food was spectacular, wouldn't change a thing. The people are so friendly and just lovely. We had a great vacation.
