The Bel Air: Terrific Ocean View..Great Holiday

My friend and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Bel-Air Cancun. I generally only stay in 4+ hotels however a friend recommended the Bel-Air Cancun so we gave it a try. Although it is an older hotel and could use a facelift in some areas there are many great things about it. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The view of the ocean from the balcony was beautiful and the design of the pool in relation to the ocean gives an impression of never-ending water. The pool and b [... read more]each were very easily accessible from the hotel so no long walks through acreage to get to the beach. That was a bonus. The beach was good and kept clean. We saw the occasional local selling their wares on the beach and they did not intrude upon or bother those who did not show interest. The food in both of the restaurants /suishi bar and pool bar was excellent although for a 2 week stay all could have used more variety on the menu's. All of the staff at the hotel including front desk, restaurants .suishi bar and beach/pool area were fabulous. We could not think of one derogatory thing to say about any of them. Our 2 week vacation was very relaxing and enjoyable. The most important requirements for both of us for the vacation was sun, sand, water and relaxation and the Bel-Air did not disappoint. The one comment not specific to this hotel I would add was for the full 2 weeks we were there it was very windy and the red flags were up all along the coast line so it was difficult to swim in the ocean. Not sure if this is specific to that coast or time of year however if I could change one thing it would be that it had been less windy. The warm temperatures, sunshine and salt water pool more than made up for it. Note: Not all rooms have balconies so if a balcony is important to you request one.

Zel Cozumel: great little resort

a smaller all- inclusive...it had only one buffet and 3 a la carte but in all honesty the buffet was excellent and is all you really need to got to. its an older facility but you can see it is very well maintained. staff is awesome. its was generally quiet and we never had trouble finding seats on the beach or at the pools. had a great time

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Great vacation with an issue

We enjoyed our vacation very much. We would recommend this property highly. There was an issue. Our room was as not made up until after 4:00pm everyday. We would come to the room early to have a nap & shower before dinner. When we asked for a late checkout & told the Mgr that the room wasn’t cleaned until 4:00pm he wasn’t accommodating at all & really didn’t care.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Second time even better!

Second time to this beautiful hotel and it was even better than the first . It’s the staff that makes it really outstanding . Food is really good . Blue water grill for lunch and dinner outstanding . Other a la cartes good too . Drinks good , beach good , pools good . Preferred club ocean front the way to go! Thank you Now Sapphire!!

Riu Dunamar: Wonderful vacation at Riu Dunamar!

This new resort had everything needed for an amazing holiday! The grounds, rooms, pools, food, decor, staff, entertainment and beach were all up to the Riu standard. Traveled in a group of 6 adults and everyone had a great time. The resort is a great size that made getting around very accessible. The beach is crystal blue, with soft waves and there were always available chairs and palm trees for shade. The beach staff were also often in sight for drink service. The resort itself is beautiful and modern which makes for a more upscale atmosphere. Don't miss the Beach Party, the fire dancers were a definite highlight!

Canto Del Sol: Great Resort

Great Resort, Close to downtown, bus out front, taxis available. Great service as usual. Always meet great people vacationing also. Have been there 4 times and will go back as do other vacationers year after year.

Grand Isla Navidad Resort: Second Time-Will not go back

Having gone last year and having several disappointments, we decided we would try again now that we had a better idea of how the hotel works. We go for the golf which we love the course and the staff at the course. The hotel for two years in a row screwed up our reservations. We heard other people at the front desk complaining about the issue.. paying for a Grand deluxe room and not getting one. They didn’t care. In regards to all inclusive.. this hotel has some people all inclusive and s [... read more]ome not. The staff tended to serve the non inclusive before people with bands. This year we were told of many things that weren’t included in our all inclusive that were last year. On our last day we were trying to have lunch before going to the airport. Had spent all of our pesos. They cut off our all inclusive at noon. There are no other restaurants around and nothing at airport. It was a long hungry day. Very disappointing. Never been to an all inclusive hotel that had done this.

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Great family resort. Be mindful of belongings

The resort was amazing. Great activities for the kids. Food was wonderful. The rooms in Building 4 were musty and damp. The staff will bring a dehumidifier up to your room if requested. Someone in our party had their ring that was not in the same stolen from their room. Everything was wonderful with the exception of the theft. Please keep items on you or in the safe.

Grand Oasis Cancun: RESORT IS DIRTY

THE RESORT WAS NOT A 4.5 STAR, 3.5 MORE LIKE IT. The staff were amazing tho. Very nice people!! I would recommend resort to young people looking to party. Not a family vacation. The food was great. Lots of places to eat. Pool was grat very clean. The beach was beautiful. I felt safe on the resort and on the beach.

Grand Oasis Sens: Average resort

Rooms are nice and clean, beautiful beach area, several pools to enjoy, restaurants are poor - 3 are additional costs, 1 very difficult to get into as only 15 seats, 3 remaining are mexican, italian and buffett. Not too much to choose from. Staff are friendly and helpful. However, if you don't tip generously the bartenders will not serve you.

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Wonderful stay!

The Barcelo is a wonderful resort, not too big or crowded, wonderful staff, superb service and great selection of foods to keep everyone happy. We were traveling with two kids and the separate bedroom and bathroom in the standard room is a plus. The resort was impeccable and rooms spotless. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Almost Perfect!

This is my second visit to this resort. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, all with spectacular views of the ocean. Fridge stocked with the beverages we requested. Prompt responses from housekeeping and the front desk for all requests. The food at the buffet was excellent (especially the Mexican and healthy choices). Our only complaint (which is minor but would have really enhanced our enjoyment) is the band in the lounge was very poor (played the exact same lousy music every evening). Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: 3rd Time a Charm!!!

I can't say enough about this resort and it's extraordinary staff! As it was our 3rd visit in less than 2 years, we made a few requests and the resort made sure that they were all met and exceeded! The food is fantastic and plentiful and the servers are hard workers and friendly and accommodating! After a day or 2, they all get to know you and your preferences, which is a treat as it makes you feel so welcome. Nice to see Anna still there, someone who has been at Silversands for all 3 of our visits. The addition of Alex to the poolside area, for ANYTHING you need, was a welcome addition for us this trip. Kayaking, scuba diving lessons and a huge Superbowl party on the beach were all fun things for this trip! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone that wants a fairly quiet but fun getaway, with only a 20 minute drive from the Cancun airport to this smaller resort. Canadians....they have Clamato juice here!! All you need to bring is celery salt for a perfect drink!!!

Palacio Mundo Imperial: Awesome resort

Hotel room was super clean hotel was beautiful and stuff were so kind and very wall organise. Over all me and my husband were very happy about it choice and we been already recommend to all our friends and family.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Excellent stay!

We stayed at the Azul Ixtapa Resort from February 2-9 and we were quite impressed with everything, from the service, to the food, and the amazing view from our room. The service is excellent everywhere we went, staff were always smiling, always said hello and they are ALWAYS cleaning! The rooms were comfortable and clean. We ate at Costa &The Oyster Bar for our à la cartes and the service was excellent at both restaurants, although Costa was our favourite. We will definitely return and possibly [... read more] check out the Azul Grand too one year as we did find there were a lot of kids and a lot of locals at this resort, which doesn't bother us, except that it was a little harder to have quiet time :)

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Very nice resort

The hotel was amazing. Staff waited on you hand and foot, the drinks were amazing and so is the food. If you want a tiki hut by the beach go early in the day as by afternoon they were totally gone!!!!

Allegro Cozumel: Bill and Cheryl's excellent adventure

Nice small resort .Clean rooms. Kid friendly. Good food and drinks. Recommend renting a jeep and touring,tequila tour and The Coconut Cabana the east side. Awesome snorkel and dive locations close by,even right in front of the resort. Excellente !

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great escape

Allegro Cozumel: VERY DISAPPOINTING!

(Feb. 18) Our overall feeling after choosing Allegro Cozumel as our vacation destination this year....REGRET!! They offer a premium upgrade package at Allegro, but what you get for the extra money amounts to what you should be getting as a bare minimum anyway. The "Priority check-in" was unavailable and throughout the week the reception desk was understaffed to manage guest requests. Our request for a specific room type was not granted, and rather than accommodating our request at check-in, the  [... read more]staff insisted we take the room and request to re-locate the following day. Allegro agreed to provide the requested room type only to have us pack up and move to the same type of room!! We eventually got the type of room originally requested, but not without eating into our vacation time. Very frustrating!! Sunwing also offered a free call-home app which required wi-fi and our package supposedly included wi-fi. Allegro refused to honor this condition and once again expected us to keep coming back to the lobby at different times to debate whether or not they would honor the wi-fi offer. Like every other review for this resort, I will repeat, the food on almost every front was lousy (cold; unappetizing; limited options; slowly replenished; lots of mushy mystery stuff etc etc). The best meal we had all week was at Palmeras in San Miguel for dinner one evening. The hotel property itself was beautiful and the grounds were immaculate. The beach was very nice and the water was pure Caribbean bliss. Even though the resort was at full capacity, we never had trouble finding a beach chair on the beach or by the pool. The onsite dive shop staff were top notch and the diving spectacular. Snorkelling in front of the hotel was fun with a few things to see if you dove down, but it is not reef snorkelling at all. The pools were clean and looked beautiful, but the only pool we used was in Premium area. The others were overcrowded and very noisy. The wait staff were fantastic across the board and that made me wonder....how is it that they are so attentive to the guests, while the staff dealing with customer service at reception sucked so badly? Overall we were left feeling very inconvenienced during this vacation....that's not how your vacation should feel. Some rooms were better located on the property than others in terms of noise levels and proximity to the beach etc, but to recommend any one area would go against the fact that I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone! Until the management learn to listen to the overwhelming calls to improve the quality of food and restaurants and to better address guest services issues, Allegro Cozumel should be rated a 3 star resort at most! Seriously!

Oleo Cancun Playa: Amazing experience

Awesome vacations. What made this resort so wonderful was all the amazing staff. Rooms are so beautiful and well maintained. The resort is considered as a boutique hotel more than a resort. It offers an amazing service and quality amenities. The hotel is still undergoing remodeling new lobby under construction but hardly hear them. The beach is lovely. The staff work very hard every morning to get you set up with chairs and a tent. The wait staff comes around all day to serve you drinks, wate [... read more]r, food and so polite and friendly. During the day entertainment staff offer pool volley ball, beach volley ball, Taichi in the morning on the beach and aerobics every second day on the beach also. They also offer free kayaking to a near location you need to take the bus for 12 Pesos ( 1$ US). I would recommend this resort to anyone who is looking to stay at a smaller resort with personalized, friendly service. 5 stars all the way! Each night in the lobby from 8:30 to 9:30 pm there is entertainment like karaoke night, frank Sinatra night, Mariachi band, movie night etc. After 9:30 pm the resort does not offer after hour dance or other entertainment which we would of liked. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing vacation with exceptional food in all dining areas this is the place for you. We personally loved the Almar restaurant which serve high quality meals like in luxurious restaurants and was able to go every night upon reservation. The food is out of this world.
