Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Great time!

We stayed here for a week in December. The food options were amazing, all the employees were friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants to choose from, the buffet had an overwhelming amount of options, the beach tacos were perfect and the late night sports bar was a hit for us a lot of time after the entertainment! The resort was beautiful, easy to walk around but shuttles were offered frequently! So much wild life, we saw monkeys 5/7 days we were there! Allegro Playacar: Amazing Resort

This resort was really nice. Smaller resort but the layout was exceptional. The beach was amazing and beautiful withnalot of activities. Vendors on the beach too! Lots of lawnchairs. Patrolled all day. Both buffets had amazing food and pizza was so so good. The grounds and rooms were so clean. Amazing and fun staff! Definetely a go to place in the future!

Las Palmas by the Sea: Amazing Time

My wife and I stayed here from December 6 to December 13 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The resort was clean and everyone was great. We had a king room with ocean view and it was kept clean and we did not have any issues. It's not a fancy resort but the food and drinks were excellent. We would definitely return.

Samba Vallarta: Yes amazing resort.

This was my 10th year at this resort. Obviously I love it. Staff is courteous & very helpful.Food is plentiful & variety for all tastes. Grounds are well maintained. Shows for everyone. Only complaint is not getting a negotiated room. I have knee issues & always get the 4th floor but I managed.

Grand Riviera Princess: Excellent resort

The room was very clean and spacious. The beach was great, not crowded and the water was clean and warm. The food at the buffet, both in main and beach restaurants, was excellent. Transportation to Playa del Carmen very efficient. I will definitely come back.

Hotel is exelent,Tom’s very clean and roomy staf more then exelent.Hotel does have own beach so public beach is 7 min walking distance and it’s acceptable Nearest Town is Beaty interesting and very small amount speak English

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Beautiful and friendly!

This was our fourth time visiting the Princess hotels, my first at Yucatan. It's beautiful there. Quiet and friendly atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and polite - Amaury, Javier, and unfortunately I forgot the man who helped us at the front desk to change rooms. They were all great! Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great resort

We spent a week at this resort two weeks ago, and we like our vacation at Iberostar very much. Transfers, check-in and check-out were quick. We got the room that we asked for. The room was in good condition, hot and cold water had excellent pressure, shampoo and conditioner were of a good quality, beds were comfortable, linens were all nice and clean. Christma [... read more]s decor in December looks super nice in the evening and creates a very pleasant ambiance. The main buffet and the one close to the beach are both good. The variety of food is great, and all food is very tasty. The only negative experience at the main buffet was cat like animals that get to the buffet at dinner time and make a mess around dirty dishes that wait to be put away. Staff at the buffet tried to keep these animals away but unsuccessfully because there were way too many of these animals there, and their behavior was unpleasant. We didn't go to any restaurants this time because we weren't impressed with food there last year, so we can't comment on restaurants this time. The beach and the Caribbean Sea are lovely at this resort. Water is crystal clear, calm and warm, and there is lots of fish to see right at the dock. Water shoes aren't needed if you prefer swimming off the dock (there are dock steps to the water there).. If you want to go in the water from the beach, water shoes are highly recommended. The resort is a paradise for divers - all places where divers go are exceptionally interesting, and dives are very well organized. Snorkeling trips are amazing, too and highly recommended for all underwater world lovers. Night entertainment at the resort was so-so in general; however, we liked the Fire show. It was really interesting. Service at the resort is fine, in our opinion. Overall, we had a very nice week at this location, and will be back.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Disappointing after 6 previous visits!

The staff was very friendly, and the resort itself is beautiful. But the Mexican charm of brightly coloured buildings is missing. Unfortunately, there were far too many iguanas around the pool area. On one occasion, an iguana got into the pool, left droppings, and the pool had to be closed for 2½ hours. Iguanas were also in the surrounding trees, and our lounge chairs were soiled three separate times. More shade is definitely needed as well. Another issue was the lack of available loungers.  [... read more]Many times, there were none available anywhere on the property, even when towels had clearly been removed. The new lounge chairs at many of the pools were wonderful, but more are needed so one doesn't need to an air mattresses for comfort. The food was disappointing. Pizza, fries, soup, and other items were often cold or barely warm. Cooked vegetables, potatoes, whole salmon, and bacon were undercooked. Additionally, there needs to be more variety in protein options. We had requested a room on a lower floor, due to my elderly mother walking with a cane. When we arrived the room allocated was on a third floor. It took quite some time to find another available. We were given the top floor in Block 3 which had an elevator. The following morning, the elevator did not work. It was fixed late afternoon. Our room had no cold water the first 3 days. The shower water would get extremely hot quickly so one had to be careful not to get scalded. On day 3 this got fixed. Then the following day we had no hot water. Day 5 onward everything worked! The nightly shows didn't start until 9:30. It would be wonderful to have them earlier because there is no chance of an early evening in with the volume of the show - even with earplugs. (Not in Block 3.) On a positive note, transportation to and from the resort with Nexus was quick! Unfortunately, the food was such a major issue that I will no longer be recommending this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Tequila: Grand Bahía Tequila

Hotel is spotless, this included rooms and grounds. Very disappointed about the ala carte restaurants. We were only able to get one reservation during the entire week even though we had been promised three. Pool was really nice. Resort staff are extremely excellent. Special shout out to Valery at the check in desk at Tequila. A room charge had mistakenly been made to our room from the sports bar and she worked tirelessly to ensure this charge was removed before we checked out. This is [... read more] something everyone should be aware of because you have to charge things to your room ( top shelf liquor) and if the wait staff makes an error it is difficult to fix. It took 3 managers to locate a copy of the signature on the charge before it was reversed.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good for the money

This hotel is located on the same grounds as grand Tulum and Akumel Bajia If you want to make the vacation totally satisfying you can purshase a pass for the other 2 resorts at 20$ a day . Now you can use there beaches and beach bars and buffet’s. Just include this over the cost of Coba and you will have a inexpensive holiday for a week Rooms at Coba were clean , big and up to date . No servers around the pool at Coba , use your pass and enjoys full service at the other two resorts which ar [... read more]nt far at all. Lots of trams running all day long.. If you really want to be spoiled purchase the privilege’s package and enjoy.

Villas Coral Huatulco: Spotless place

Great location, great view of ocean. Staff was accommodating in every way. They have access to the ocean but playa Arrocito is 250 meter walk. Chef was excellent in preparing the food. Enjoyed the stay, will return

Hyatt Vivid Grand Island: Beautiful & Perfect Couples Spot!

My husband & I had our honeymoon at this resort and I have zero complaints! The resort and beach club itself were absolutely beautiful and the service from staff was amazing! We did try all the different restaurants (other than buffet - we are not buffet people) and all the food we had was 5 stars! We spent almost the whole week at the beach, and don’t let the idea of the beach shuttle scare you because we never waited more than maybe 3 minutes total! And it was less than 5 minutes drive! Samba Vallarta: A delightful holiday

This hotel suited my needs to a T! The grounds and public areas are beautiful and tidy, clean and well kept. The rooms are cleaned spotlessly every day. The new manager of food and beverages, Carlos Dias, is a very busy man doing a great job! The food in the buffet and the ala carte restaurants is top notch! The BBQ night on Wednesday was amazing. Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing resort

The resort was amazing right from the start. We were a party of 12, ages from 7 to 67 years old. Everyone found things they liked to do. Everyone was a fan. We would definitely recommend this resort.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Average Resort - Good for families with young children

Overall, my stay at the resort was average. While there were some positive aspects, several issues negatively affected the experience. Check-in & Service: The website advertised concierge check-in, a fruit basket, a bottle of wine in the room, and assistance with booking à la carte restaurants for the Select Club Adults section; however, none of these inclusions were provided. That said, most of the wait staff throughout the resort were very friendly and helpful. Food & Dining: The à la carte restaurant food was underwhelming, and I ultimately preferred the buffet. Desserts across all restaurants were particularly disappointing, with very limited appealing options. Facilities: Some areas near the buildings had a strong and unpleasant odor. The adults-only pool area was very quiet and relaxing, which was a plus, but the restaurant service there was extremely slow, with long waits for orders. My room was clean but very dated. The balcony was quite small, with space for only one chair and no table. Two chairs were provided, but if both were used, there was very little legroom, making it uncomfortable for two people to sit at the same time. Entertainment: There was no engaging entertainment specifically offered for the adults-only section in the day, except a DJ on the beach from 1-4 which was not that great. The entertainment available in the family section was largely geared toward families with children.

El Dorado Royale: Amazing Resort and Staff

We just returned from a seven-night stay at El Dorado Royale. We’ve been to Mexico many times, but this was our first visit to this resort. Wanting to try somewhere new—and having heard great things—we decided to give it a chance, and we’re so glad we did. I’m someone who loves quiet mornings with a book and a coffee, followed by more social afternoons, and this resort made that balance effortless. We discovered it on our first day and, for a while, felt like we had our own private oasis. As the week went on, more guests found their way there, which only made it better—we got to know people, shared laughs, and made some wonderful new friends. A huge shout-out to Mavili, who served us lunch there every single day. She is absolutely amazing—attentive, kind, and genuinely helpful. She made us feel so welcome and truly elevated our experience. A real treasure. In the evenings, we often visited the martini bar, and the staff there were just as amazing. A huge shout-out to Joseline, who took incredible care of us and made sure all our needs were met. Her warmth and attention truly stood out and made our evenings even more enjoyable. Another special mention goes to Isareli, who checked on us daily at the Health Bar pool to ensure everything was perfect. That level of care and consistency did not go unnoticed and really speaks to the exceptional service at this resort. The food throughout the resort was excellent, the rooms were cleaned in a timely manner, and room service was great. The grounds were immaculate, and I loved being only a short twenty-minute ride from the airport. Before we even arrived, I messaged the resort to let them know it was our 35th anniversary. David Ortiz immediately responded, making sure we would be well taken care of—and we absolutely were. In celebration of our anniversary, we did the candlelight beachside dinner, which was absolutely spectacular—a truly unforgettable experience. Thank you David. I highly recommend this resort, and honestly, the staff alone would bring us back without hesitation.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Three Star Resort ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

My wife and I have travelled quite a bit, so we know what to expect at resorts. Here is our honest review of our recent seven-night stay at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort. The resort gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The resort is large and visually impressive, with a wide range of activities geared toward families. While it is clearly family oriented, there are several well-designed adults-only areas throughout the property, which helps balance the atmosphere. Our check-in was quick due to our late arrival, alth [... read more]ough during our stay we frequently observed very long check-in lines in the lobby. Dining was mixed overall. Some options were enjoyable, while others were disappointing. The buffet by the bridge overlooking the water was particularly poor, with long food lines and unappealing conditions. In contrast, the buffet across from Nido in the red building was consistently excellent. The adults-only KIIN beach area stood out as one of the best features of the resort. It offered beachside food service delivered by a waiter, the food quality was excellent, and it also provided an air-conditioned indoor area to relax, enjoy drinks, play pool, and have snacks, including bite-sized sandwiches, pretzels, peanuts, and cookies. The Sandos app was functional and made it easy to book à la carte restaurants. We were able to secure five reservations during our seven-night stay. However, only the Japanese restaurant and Los Lirios were truly good. Late-night dining options were extremely limited, with Nido being the only venue open after 11 p.m. The menu there is restricted to beef and chicken tacos or burritos, and the quality was poor. On one occasion, I observed uncovered cooked chicken and beef in the kitchen sitting in stainless steel hot pans with insects buzzing about, which was very concerning. Bar service was another weak point. Many bars appeared understaffed, often with only one bartender, resulting in long lineups. Several bartenders seemed disengaged, with little friendliness or enthusiasm. While drink quality was generally decent and some higher-end brands were available, cleanliness in the bars, restrooms, seating areas, and other common spaces could be significantly improved. Some of the food safety and handling practices, along with the lack of cleanliness, could be why many people report getting sick. However, we never got sick, as we were careful about where and what we ate. The beach itself was well maintained, though guests should expect frequent approaches from vendors attempting to sell items. While not aggressive, the interruptions were constant. The main pool area was very crowded, and the water was dirty, with noticeable sand accumulation on the pool floor. Wi-Fi coverage across the resort was generally reliable, with only minor issues on parts of the beach. The live entertainment was excellent, with the Michael Jackson show being a highlight. The resort’s location is convenient, situated about ten minutes from Walmart and Fifth Avenue, with access to taxis, Uber, InDrive, or a low-cost shuttle that runs twice daily. Our one-bedroom pool-view suite was quite worn and in need of renovation. The television was outdated, the floors were cracked, and there was broken furniture and damaged electrical outlets. Paint was peeling, and the air-conditioning filters were extremely dirty, appearing not to have been cleaned in a long time. The layout was also problematic, with no door separating the bedroom from the living room and no doors on the bathrooms. While the toilet is enclosed in a small separate room, the overall design felt impractical. This suite is not well suited for families, and housekeeping was below expectations. The water park was clean and well maintained, but food options were very limited and of poor quality. If you plan to drink alcohol at the water park, make sure to bring a reusable cup, as alcohol is not served there. Overall, while there were several positive aspects to our stay, the experience was not strong enough for me to consider returning or recommending to others.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Las Brisas, Hautulco

First time visitors to this resort and it did not disappoint. We loved the beautiful greenery and as non-swimmers has one of the few beaches where you can swim without feeling like you’re being sucked out to sea! Food was great and the weather even better! Will definitely return!
