Occidental Punta Cana: Fantastic Resort

This was a fantastic resort, very clean, great service the staff were excellent. The beach was great as were the multiple pools. Grounds were kept quite nicely staff were can’t. The food was great, there was a great selection with variations throughout the week. The a le carte restaurants were wonderful and good was great! The Spa service was fantastic I would highly recommend it. I would go back again it was a fabulous week.

Occidental Punta Cana: Asbsolutey beautiful resort

I went to this resort by accident,but it was sure pleased with the place.The people at this hotel were very friendly and happy. Very very clean and well taking care of grounds. The food was excellent and many many choices.There was always good things to eat. My only issue with this resort is its very stretched out and a bit of a walk to the beach from our room. Thank you Occidental Punta Cana for a well deserved 28 day vacation

Barcelo Solymar: good resort

I had booked the Barcelo Solymar and to my surprise, when I arrived, the hotel was closed so I stayed at the Arenas Blancas next door. The Arenas was clean, very spatious, excellent beach, great pool size but no swim up bar like the Barcelo had. The food was ok as the selection in Cuba was not a choice. the staff were really nice as well. Allegro Playacar: Beautiful grounds and beach !

As nice and clean pools, grounds, beaches are, the rooms, dining, and evening entertainment still need more work to be done. Television sets and phones, not in a good functioning state. Most people are accommodating and friendly at the resort. Grateful for all the assistance whit fixing things, not in order ie water leaking from the bathroom above, air conditioning, and tv.

Occidental Punta Cana: très beau site

Un terrain très bien entretenu, bien éclairé, musique en bordure des allées. Chambres de belle qualité, ascenseur, balcon avec table et chaises. Le côté le plus déplaisant c'est le personnel, peut souriant, surtout à la réception, manque de formation, menteurs ils inventent les pire conneries, te font patienter de façon abusive, font des promesses qu'ils ne tiennent pas très déplaisant comme attitude. Barcelo Maya Colonial: Excellent Resort

We are very pleased with our choice. Barcelo Playa Colonial lived to our expectations. We spend 9 nights at this hotel. In this time of Covid we were really pleased to see that the hotel has taken all measures to ensure not only the safety of their guests but also that of their employees. Guests are required to wear masks when approaching employees and the buffet food stations, which to us makes a lot of sense. Occidental Caribe: Nice grounds!

The hotel hounds are beautiful but the rooms are mediocre. Ocean view rooms are worth the upgrade becaue the view is amazing! Food was not that great and breakfast was not replenished which was annoying. Took 10 min for each egg to be cooked. Our kids kept cutting their self on something that was in the pool and the first aid closes early. Besides all that staff was nice and we had a great time. If you get a cheap deal to this hotel I would recommend otherwise I would not. It's more like a 3* an [... read more]d don't expect too much other than great grounds.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great time

This is a resort that has it all. So much to do if you want to keep busy and a great beach if you don’t want to be busy. Just one tip to get your covid test. Do not use the shuttle bus. We waited 30 minutes to catch it. Then it took 20 minutes to get to the hotel with the testing site. It was a 5 minute walk along the beach ! So if you’re able just walk there.

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Best of Barcelo

This section of the Barcelo Maya resort is far superior in all respects. The design and architectural features are superb. Pools and beach are spectacular. Rooms were large and ver comfy. King beds are supersized. Service was excellent. Food at buffet was very good and a la cartes were a real treat. Good drinks. Oceanfront room is definitely worth it. Covid tests easy to arrange. Overall a beautiful resort hotel.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Wonderful Vaccation

The hotel was very clean and followed covid protocols. Masks were worn while entering restaurants and could be removed while seated. Temperatures taken when entering restaurants as well. Buffets we’re all behind glass and food was served to guests by a gloved and masked staff member. The staff was also working a 2 week rotation where they stayed on location to lesson exposure. The resort was only 30 percent capacity so there was no lineups and service was amazing. Clean masks were provided [... read more] daily in our room. Hand sanitizer was readily available all over the resort. Table were set 2 metres apart even in outdoor settings. Covid testing (pCR) available at the resort for $90US many people we met at the airport had to go to offsite clinics and paid $250 per person. Overall we felt very safe and commend the staff and management at Barcelo Bavero beach and our Agent from trip central for making sure we were prepared before our vacation to download the ArriveCAN app and also the QR code application to enter DR. The only suggestion we would have would be a reminder to clients to download and complete another application for QR code to leave DR to save time at the airport upon return. Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great Family vacation

Hotel was great, pools were fantastic, food was ok but nothing to write home about the buffets were very low in selection of food only the a la carts we ok The premium rooms we had were fantastic great ocean view Beaches are poor has too much sea weed couldn’t even get in ocean and no protection from sun with chairs on the beach

Barcelo Maya Palace: Beautiful latge property.

The food is top of the line- rspecially the Brazilian, Italian and French a la cartes. Only food complsint is that like all most Mexican resorts there is only milk rather than cream for coffee:( the resort is very latge so condider that if you jave monility issurs- buses run from different barcelo lobbies but not from the buildings that house rooms to lobby, restaurants etc. Do not waste money on the upgrade- to premium level. Beach is rocky and sandy but beautiful with sea turtles and natural life in the water.

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Absolute luxury and top notch service!

This was hands down the most amazing resort vacation my husband and I did. We are already talking about going back! The resort its self is so stunning and modern. All the staff went above and beyond to provide the best experience possible. We loved the Mexican and taco bar restaurants the most- very authentic and so delicious. I never felt like I had to get close to people and always felt very comfortable. We never saw any staff without a mask and everything was suer clean. We really felt taken care of and pampered. Barcelo Maya Riviera: Gorgeous resort , entertainment is non existant

This was our second time staying at this beautiful property Barcelo Maya Riviera. The grounds are beautiful, the hotel is spacious clean and gorgeous. The a la carte restaurants on site can be a problem with the reservation list and trying to get in so book them as soon as you get there with guest services. There are 5 other hotels you can go to eat at and you can book the a la carte restaurants there as well which is a good thing. The hotel entertainment is a problem at this resort. The  [... read more]first time we stayed there we thought oh , it is new they will get it organized in time. Two years later the entertainment at the resort is still a problem. The entertainment seems to be mostly Mexican themed and ends at 11pm totally shut down. When you speak with other guests it is the topic of conversation. The music at the outside bar is electronic mostly, very loud and if you are not a fan it is annoying all day. Hope they get this sorted out for it is a major problem. I had an awesome experience at the barcelo maya colonial. The service was exceptional. If you've been thinking about that vacation, this place is a must try. Enjoyed a great lunch at the steakhouse.

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Amazing resort

Beautifully appointed resort on the beach, with lovely pool areas including swim up bars, spa water features, private hot tubs on terrace in rooms are perfect, used it everyday before going for dinner, excellent service, staff are so friendly and service oriented. Rooms are extra large plenty of closets, drawers, cupboards, housekeeping excellent. Restaurant's were good. Everyone we spoke to said it was the best resort they had been too. Barcelo Maya Riviera: Barcelo Maya Riviera is an excellent resort destination

We had a very memorable and pleasant time at this very well kept resort. Staff was friendly providing excellent service, rooms were spacious and cleaned daily and stocked with amenities. Restaurants were good. Beaches and pools and other activities were excellent. We will go back.

Occidental Punta Cana: My favourite place!!

This was my 18th trip to this hotel. I keep coming back because the service, people, rooms, food and beach are all wonderful!! I must add that with covid, ALL precautions they can take are enforced!!

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Home sweet home

The Barcelo in the Mayan Riviera, is a wonderful place to go to and the reason we, along with others, keep going back (9 years). 1. Occidental Caribe: Great Resort!

Had a wonderful stay at the Occidental in February. Grounds were immaculate. Rooms were kept clean. AC worked perfectly. Food was plentiful and varied every day. Lots of loungers at the beach and the pool. Staff were very, very friendly. Loved it here.
