Grand Decameron Panama: Fun for everybody

Stayed at the DeCameron dec 15-22/14, with my 19 yr old friend, I was 18 at the time. Tons to do for all ages. Great food, great disco, tons of security everywhere. Did not feel unsafe anywhere with all the cameras around. Lots of pools (however the latest one closes at 10pm). Huge language barrier, but we could get by. Definitely worth the money we paid. Lots of culture, 2 minute walk from a little village and 15 minute walk from another village. Nice beach, nice staff, lots to do and see. Nigh [... read more]tly show was in Spanish, but there was kareoke every night, then a kids show, then normal show, disco started up around 11-11:30 at night and ran until about 3:30-4am with food after. Lots of games going on during the day in the pools, but they sectioned off the activities for different ages pretty good. Trips/excursions booked through the hotel were very pricey (1/2 hr seadooing: $55, 1hr atving: $65/$70). Barter whenever possible! Peacocks and iguanas everywhere, pretty cool. Room was very nice and very big, cleaned every day very well. Had a blast, I would go back.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Had a great time

We went with young kids and the extended family, and had a great time. Very friendly staff, lots of cheerful local people and a surrounding small town. Rooms fairly well kept, the food was good with lots of variety. Would go again.

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Great place to stay

This was a great small resort, beautiful ocean view and the beach just steps away. BUFFET: food was good, mostly chicken and pork, but daily variety so we never got tired of it. Ala carte: food was fine but nothing special so we only ate there once. Rooms: we're very comfortable and clean and spacious. Beach: there is a calm little beach just steps away from the bar and restaurant. The hotel just purchased the beach next door and moved all the beach activities and water sports there. We met many people who have been returning to this hotel for years and we can see why, it's very comfortable, they make you feel at home. We will definitely be back!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: staff excellent and complex wonderful

I have been there four times and each and every time was better than the last I have taken people thete and recommended to everyone The staff go out of their way to make sure you are well looked after Frendly clean and always happy to mske sure you have a great experience Lots of pools and restaurants

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Pleasant Surprise

I had no idea what to expect when traveling to Jamaica as this was my first time to the country. Can I just say what a pleasant surprise this vacation was. The people in this country are absolutely hospitable and warm and the employees of the Decameron resort were no exception. The grounds and rooms were clean, the food was decent but the staff is what made this resort a 5 star, especially Elisha, Shanti, AJ, Lisa, DavRoy, Stacy-Ann, Mark and Cheddar. Had such an amazing time!

Grand Decameron Panama: one of our favourite resorts to cisit

It is a long drive from the airport but we'll worth the trip. The grounds are beautiful, lots of pools and restaurants, comfortable rooms and a casino across the street. There are lots of stairs and hills but that helps you walk off all the food you eat

Grand Decameron Panama: Relaxing and Super Staff

The hotel was lovely and the staff were friendly and so helpful. We had a relaxing holiday which was exactly what we were looking for. The resort is on a slope which made the view spectacular. Lots of pools, restaurants and really great coffee. One night in an outdoor restaurant there was a tropical storm and we got soaked while eating dinner. Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Not Bad

This resort is smaller than what we normally go to. Perfect place to sit back and relax not a lot of activities. The bus ride to the resort was slightly over an hour. We did not have a lot of choices on the food although the food was good and plenty of it. You had your breakfast choices, lunch and dinner buffet. The thing we did not like was that the resort allows smoking and there was no designated area. People were allowed to smoke where you were eating which turned us off. Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Great time in Jamaica!!

Booked through Tripcentral. Package was by Air Canada vacations. At the Sangster (MBJ) airport the Air Can. rep was easy to spot after leaving customs. If they ask make sure you mention that you're staying in Runaway Bay as there is a Royal Decameron in Montego Bay as well and don't want to be shuttled there by mistake. Airport transfer bus was air conditioned. Transfer to the resort is approximately an hour. Got to the resort around 5pm. They had a drink for us when we got there. Check in was s [... read more]uper fast and friendly, Wifi only available in the lobby and you have to pay $5 for an hour at a time or they sell 24 hours of wifi for $20.00. You have to pay for a safe as well. The bungalows are different than your average hotel room which was nice. Feels like you have more privacy. However at night they have these birds that just don't stop making noise until sunrise. Kind of annoying for the wife but I didn't mind and slept well ;) Buffet was small but food was amazing. 8 main dishes, salad bar, dessert bar, grill station. The food was amazing. They also have an omelette station in the morning at the grilling station. They had two a la cartes which you could go to every night if you want, book at the front desk. Again the food and service there was excellent as well. People there are generally super friendly so we tipped as much as we could $1 or 2. And most people can get you "anything" you need LOL On the 4th day the manager came up to my wife and I and asked if we wanted to check out the other Royal Decameron resort at Montego Bay so we agreed. They called us a taxi the resort prepaid for and we were taken over there within a couple of hours.Overall a great experience at Royal Decameron Club Caribbean.

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: The worst Management ever

The food is amazing, the entertainment also.However, We left for an incursion on the wednesday, november 19,2014 and when we giot back, noticed that we had some clothes missing. We went to see the management it took two day , the day that we had to leave and the ended up paying the value of our clothes. Imagine going back home , in the -20 with no pants

Grand Decameron Panama: RunDown ,

The rooms and grounds need proper maintenance, the majority of employees are just going through the motions, they lack a sense of hospitality and responsibility. It seems like they never had any training. I had some problems with my room, which they eventually fixed after several complaints. They did try to make it up to me and I give them credit for that. I heard other guests also complaining that the resort is being run down and it was better when they were there previously.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great time with my sons.

It was our first trip South together. We had a wonderful time for a great price. Resort is not super fancy but all our needs were met. Could always find something to eat on the buffet... fresh pizza oven was awesome. Ala Cartes were decent but could improve on the reservation system (waiting in line in the early morning hours). My boys enjoyed the disco which was busy every night! Would definitely go back again.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Very nice vacation

It was raining when we landed so I was a little disappointed but we got to our hotel and they were very friendly and very helpful ....we got to our rooms ,they are your average rooms but they work , it's a pretty big place but in the long run it was worth the money and we had a great time and made lots of new friends

This was not my first trip to jamaica. I have stayed at higher star resorts but by far would prefer this resort over any. It's so chill and relaxed and you never had people hounding you to buy stuff from them. You have your people set up and they try to get your attention but if you say no than they leave you alone but you rarely even got stopped. The resort has alot of things you can do and so much beach area you never have to fight for a chair and you literally could have a beach area to yours [... read more]elf. The staff was absolutely amazing. There are 2 negatives about this resort but they are not deal breakers for me. First is the WiFi is only available in the lobby. This makes it tough because I need the WiFi to use the whatsapp so I constantly had to go to the lobby to check my messages. It's 5 bucks per hour which is not bad at all. And the last thing is I found some staff were showing signs of intoxication while on shift. I'm not going to go into detail on it as I found the staff amazing here. The entertainment crew were so amazing they made you feel like one of them and as a friend. They have amazing talent and put on some of the best shows I have seen. I will definitely be back.

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Perfect

Great location, friendly staff. Food and drinks were amazing. Views from the rooms are breath taking. Hotel is clean and in nice shape. Read some reviews about lack of hot water in the rooms, I was there 4 nights and didn't have any problems with it even during peak hours. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

We did travel during raining season( October), so quite a bit of rain, but price was great, the resort grounds were beautiful, snorkeled each cove a lot of sea urchins, parrot fish, black and white striped fish. The food was awesome. We liked the seafood a la carte, the Thai was just so-so. The staff was excellent from maids to servers, to bartenders, grounds and maintenance and the entertainment and front desk. We did not like Air Canada Vacations , the flight no movie unless you have your own  [... read more]device or rent one($10), had to buy food,no duty free on the plane, ridiculous long time getting checked in at airport even though we were there hours ahead , We will Never book Air Canada Vacations again, have has sucess with Nolitours,Air Transit and Sunquest . The Montego airport was brutal waiting to get through customs..three and 1/2 hours in line up like cattle. We didn;t get to our hotel until 6pm . We used the quiet pool it was nice and a bar there also, but the pool closed at 5pm , i did not like that , the adult pool should be open until 7-8pm at least , Especially when it rains so much All and all we loved our gardeview cottage and definatley would return but not with Air Canada Rouge /Vacations brutal......thanks RDC for a great vacation and a special thanks to Devin from front desk and Greg from the a la carte He was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pro's- awesome beach, the buffet and a la cartes were great, service was excellent Con's- no room service or food available between 5&6pm or after 1am, no in-room mini fridge or shower amenities, use keys instead of cards so if you lose your room key you have to pay $40US to get locks changed and another key All in all, you get what you pay for. We got a great deal and had a great time! We stayed the last two nights at a different resort because Decameron was over booked, but we offered to do so [... read more] and it was nice to have a change, like 2 vacations in 1! The new hotel (a 4 star apparently) had the amenities and services Decameron didn't (24 hour room service) but the service at Decameron was much better!! The ocean and beach area for swimming, and the A/C in the room at Decameron were missed a great deal when we were at the other hotel. So turns out the amenities we thought we missed, wouldn't have been worth the extra few hundred dollars had we booked somewhere else. I would return to Decameron

I loved the grounds and the staff were amazing!!! The room was dated and in need of a overhaul but I really wasn't there to spend time in the room. When I was in the room however, ceiling fan squeaked so badly we had to turn it off the A/C barely cooled the room, I didn't sleep with covers the whole week which worked out ok so I could pad the rock hard bed with the duvet that was supposed to be my blanket. The food was plentiful and varied, they had several different dining locations all within  [... read more]a few minutes walk each having different special stations with people preparing things as you ordered ie. Omelette station for breakfast or an oven toasted deli sandwich station at lunch etc. They have great reservation only restaurant locations for dinner only which we could only get a reservation on one night since they start taking reservations at 8 am in person and get booked out within minutes. So if you're not a keener, good luck!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: September at the Royal Decameron

This was the second visit to this resort. I would go again if the price was right. Last time the shows were finominal and the kids club group were great! This time the shows were mediocre and the kids club staff didn't engag the older kids. The food was ok but not much selection. The wait staff were great and the beds were comfortable.
