Samba Vallarta: 4th time

Staff staff staff, we were there back in 2009 and the same wait staff are still working of course there a new ones which obviously been trained by the senior staff amazing sevice everywhere. The rooms are what they are beds are comfortable hot water was fine and the a/c worked. Pool was great never crowded beach was clean and bar service which is very rare. Food was food always something to eat they try so hard to mix it up. My wife is gluten and they made her a plate for dinner whenever she ask [... read more]ed. Went with a group of 11 and not one complaint.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Very Mexican property.

This property is very well maintained. The gardens are beautiful and the whole property is kept very clean. The food at the buffet was amazing. Didn’t bother to go to the a La Carts. Our only complaint was the rooms don’t have fridges and you have to sign to get a hair blower in your room. Otherwise the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I would definitely recommend and go back to this resort.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Perfect relaxing holiday

The staff go out of their way to make your holiday perfect. The rooms were clean and the grounds were well kept. The entertainment was great. There was always something going on, archery, ping pong, volleyball, water aerobics, mini put, rock wall climbing and assorted pool games.The waiters actually run to serve you. The food was great and the sunsets fabulous. I had a great time.

Crown Paradise Golden: GOLDEN CROWN PARADISE

Good things: sun, beach, warm weather, staff was awesome Negative: seemed to be a party resort with too many young adults that took over the pool and hot tube. Daily there was beer pong and one day they were all twerking around the pool. I am not prude but this is not what I signed up for. Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Great Resort

Everything was perfect except the nightly shows. They would have been great if not of the over sexualized costumes of the women. I chalked it up to Mexico being behind the times. I especially enjoyed the rooms, clean and comfortable. Snack Bar was great. Staff was kind and helpful.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: The staff were always pleasant. The grounds were impeccable. Also we wanted to move to another room No problem.

The staff were always pleasant. The grounds were impeccable. Also we wanted change rooms, no problem. They had us in another room in less than hour. We enjoyed the beach under the wonderful straw umbreallas protecting us from the sun. We had fun parcipati ng in the water aerobics and dancing in the lobby. We hope that we return to Paradise.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Good value

Food was just average, but grounds were beautiful, rooms were clean (but older), staff was friendly and professional and location was great. The entertainment was really good and lots of fun. Would definitely stay here again.

Crown Paradise Golden: Wonderful time and great staff

What to say: Hotel was quaint, well maintained with great staff. Rooms are all well located to view the ocean ( partial of full). Try to get 3rd floor +. Food: Was worried about past reviews, however, food selection was good. Beach: Nice beach, took long walks and sellers were fun to talk to. Surroundings: Walking distance to mall, walmart and some good rests ( not expensive). We walked a few times to downtown ( 1hr) or 10 minutes taxi. Good restaurants with great local flavours along with g [... read more]reat taquila. Try to get your souvenirs locally and not at airport, airport has not as much selection. Marina near by and every morning cruise ships arrive, nice to see.

Riu Flamingos: Very Enjoyable Resort

Facility was Great, Staff was Great, other Guests where Great. Recommendations; Please teach the chef's how to COOK BACON!!!! I don't remember seeing so much garbage on the beach.(cigarette butts) Must find a way to Remove the Two Center Pillars in Front of the Stage.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Relaxing, Laid Back Holiday

This is a small and basic laid back all inclusive with a strong Mexican feel. If you're accustomed to a five star luxury hotel, you may be disappointed. The rooms are plain but clean. Food is excellent with A La Carte Mexican, and Steak House restaurants. The beach is busy but the vendors are respectful. The Beach Club offers a beautiful, quiet clear water beach. Perfect holiday if you are looking for a comfortable, clean and accommodating resort. We had a wonderful relaxing week. The staff and guests were friendly - no pretences or pressure to dress or behave a certain way - you could just be your self and enjoy the Mexican sun and hospitality. Third time visitor.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Awesome resort

The resort was fantastic good meals good bed the staff were second to none location was excellent only con about the whole trip was the shower being hot and cold but it's livable GREAT JOB las palmas We will be back

Garza Blanca Preserve Resort And Spa: Exceptional Food

We had a great time at Garza Blanca. Each of the four restaurants was top notch and the staff was very attentive. The private beach was really excellent too. The whole place was very kid-friendly, but there are quiet spots where adults can find some peace too. It's a bit remote and you can't walk into town, which can be positive or negative depending on what you're looking for. The positive is that the resort and rooms are clean and the staff are pleasant. Also, the nightly entertainment was good. Outside of that I don’t have many nice things to say. The resort is small, the pools are small, the rooms are tiny. The A/C in the rooms barely worked. There are no elevators anywhere in the resort. The door lock to our bathroom didn’t work. I had to call every day to have the room cleaned as they always forget. There are many nice looking restaurants but the food is tasteless and mediocre at best in all of them. I definitely would not go back.

Riu Flamingos: Great resort!

Overall I thought the resort was great!! SUPER clean grounds, there’s a ton of staff and never a speck of dirt anywhere. Rooms were ok, I didn’t have hot water in the shower but that wasn’t a huge deal to me so I didn’t complain. AC worked ok, it was a bit damp but we were barely in the room. Food and drinks were awesome!! The mojitos were my favourite and my hubby loved the ceasers. The a la cartes were ok but we preferred the buffet. Villas Vallarta by Canto del Sol: Good value for the money

An older 3 star resort, the room entry/closet/bathroom is strange design. Small TV. Having full access to the 4 star sister across the court/street makes it good value for the money, $950 Canadian (we booked 2 days before). The customers were mostly older couples the mid March week we were there. A few cloudy days but super warm, shorts only required even at night. Very scenic with the mountains around you. Cobble stone roads in the old downtown, a bit of bumpy road on the .60 cent bus rides.

Playa Los Arcos: Very nice Place....Very authentique Mexican Vibe!!!! Beautiful

Nice older hotel....Well maintained ...authentique Mexican style....small and comfortable...Food was good....not 5 star quality but very good all the same, and who cares anyway when you are so close to lot's of very inexpensive restaurants that you can try out just around the corner!!!...air conditioning great!!! bed very comfy!!! Pool nice and clean....Right on the ocean!!! Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Nice small resort

The hotel was very clean. My room was a good size with good views The bar staff were excellent. The restaurants were ok but could use a bit more variety. I would recommend this for people who like to walk uptown and don’t expect a 5 star hotel

We stayed in Building 4 from March 04th to the 20th Pro's -Great food, great variety and lots of it -Very clean rooms and resort -Very well maintained - Rustic old Mexico feel and atmosphere - Smaller resort (240 rooms) -Very friendly and helpful staff -Modello light and dark on tap (I hate Corona) -Enough Palapas on the beach for shade Con's - You have to pay 85 pesos per day to use the in-room safe (Money grab) -Loungers are terribly hard and uncomfortable. Should upgrade to th [... read more]e mesh type - Sometimes hard to get change from the front desk for tips - Nightly shows start at 9:00 P.M. which is a little late for us old people :) -No early morning coffee available near building 4 - The umbrellas around the pools are immovable so sometimes hard to find shade Tips -Don't sit under the trees on the beach for shade unless you like the birds pooping all over you (But some say this is good luck :)) -Bring or buy an air mattress for the loungers (100-150 pesos if bought there) -Book tours through Alicia's on the beach (The same or cheaper than at the hotel) -Restaurante de Mariscos Pineda & Wanda's Burgers and Ribs (Mushroom Burger) are both great places to eat

Melia Puerto Vallarta: 3.5 star only

Service people are friendly & work hard. Food was fairly good but a lot of it I couldn’t or wouldn’t eat. Signage was missing at times especially to indicate if the food contained seafood. Pool bathrooms are kept clean but hotel rooms need a thorough cleaning as do all of the surfaces around the pool and the wrought iron tables/placemats in the main buffet. Too often found dishes/glasses/cutlery that was supposed to be “clean” wasn’t. :(
