Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Cayo Coco Memories caribian ressort

Comme la plupart des hôtels à Cuba - belle construction, mais pas très bien maintenu. Belles chambres spacieuses et propres, mais les détails... A l'arrivée pas d'eau chaude, le display de l'air conditionne n'affiche pas la température, pas de pancarte "Ne pas déranger " etc. Mais le service très bon, tout se fait. Bonne nourriture au buffet, mais pas dans les restos à la carte. Beaucoup de bars avec bon café, jamais de fil. Recommande fortement la salon de vin avec dégustation [... read more]. La plage est pour les amateurs d'eau non profonde. A quelques exceptions très beaux spectacles, surtout ballet dans la piacine. Malgré 16+ assez tranquil. Attention aux moustiques - jamais aller à la plage avant 09h00 (Décembre) de même le soir

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Fantastic Resort!

This resort was fantastic! Grounds were in immaculate condition. Staff were super friendly and accommodating! Food was good. The beach and pools were beautiful. Restaurants were very clean. Kids club was always in pristine condition.

The resort was very nice!! Groundskeepers and cleaning staff were working hard every day keeping everything pristine. All the staff at the resort and the country of Cuba are very nice and friendly and will do anything to make your vacation the best experience you’ve ever had!! We had a wonderful time in Cuba and can’t wait to go again. The people of Cuba love Canadians to death and do whatever it takes for you to enjoy your stay in their country!! Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Good place to stay!

Nice place! Good food, clean room and common areas. Building is showing some age but as long as its clean I am happy. Air conditioner in room smells moldy though. Loved staying at the sanctuary section.

Resonance Blu Varadero: not as expected

hotel grounds are too spread out and requires lot of walking to get from one point to the other. food was not to standard. birds are all over the food and hotel staff is not addressing this problem. I requested room close to everything due to mobility problems my wife is having and this request was granted. however the bathtub was about two feet from the floor. on the pro side I must say the staff and services were great. the pools were fantastic and so were the entertainment. grounds were well  [... read more]kept.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: One of my favorite resorts in Cayo Coco

This is my second time going to Memories Caribe Beach Resort. The beach and the pool are second to none. Foremost, the staff at the resort is professional, polite, respectful, and considerate. Management is always on hand if you require assistance or need to resolve any issues. The Asian, Mediterranean and the Cuban restaurants are classy and serves very good food. Entertainment during the day and evening is packed to the fullest. You need not be bored at this resort. In all of Cayo Coco resorts [... read more], Memories Caribe is one of my favorites. Note: it didn't seem that the upgrades between the Diamond Club and being a regular guess were that noticeable. The best bang for your buck is go as a regular guest.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Excellent Resort

The rooms are very nice, the grounds and beach are truly beautiful. Stunning aqua blue water. People are very helpful, friendly and nice and the butler service is great. It was nice to have access to the other resorts as well.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Started off rocky

Just returned from Sanctuary Grand Memories. The flight over and the bus connection to the resort ran smoothly. Once at the resort, about 3pm,we were taken to the Sanctuary lobby for check in and brought to our room in building #57. Room was not ready so we went to the beach area looking for snacks and had the last 2 hamburgers at the snack bar. No other food was available. Returned to the room to find everyone gone. Room is tired, no toilet paper, loose toilet seat, shower faucet came apart tha [... read more]t I managed to repair, etc.. We went to the lobby to speak to a representative and he noted our concerns. Nothing was done. Called main lobby 3 times to get toilet paper. No one came. I had to get some from the main lobby bathroom. No butler for 2 days. Finally on day 3 a butler did show up and some of our concerns were finally resolved. Service throughout the resort is quite poor. Main buffet at Grand memories is a zoo at dinner time, TOO many people. The insect bites were abundant. The staff smogged the premises twice at 6 pm when people were going out for drinks and dinner. Bad timing. Now the good: Beaches were perfect. perfect swimming. You have to get up early to find palapas. Weather was perfect. Pool at the Sanctuary had lots of loungers, clean, good bartenders, not overly busy, and near towel exchange, ping pong, pool table, etc.. Food is OK. Entertainment at the main lobby was quite good. .

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Trip from hell

My husband and I visited this hotel for the first time in 2012. We fell in love with resort and it really set the bar high for all of our Cuba vacations and so we decided to go there again with our kids 8 years later. I call this the trip from hell for several reasons. The first being there is a major safety issue at this hotel. If you chose to visit this hotel, I recommend you pack a flash light or two as the stairway and hallways are not always lit up in the evening. The pathways on the resort [... read more] grounds are also very dark. The second safety issue is the septic tanks and manholes. You will find some of the septic tanks and manholes do not always have their covers on. In fact, some of the covers are removed and placed right next to a big open hole. My son had the misfortune of falling into a septic sewage due to the manhole cover being removed. His curiosity with the lizards got the best of him and he wasn’t paying attention to his steps, one step backward and he fell right into raw sewage! When I addressed the manager, he took it quite seriously but I’m still not happy with this as it could have been prevented had they used proper procedures. Another issue I have with the hotel is the cross contamination of foods. When I went to the buffet and the pizza making station, the cooks would often use the same plate and spoon to pick up and place your toppings for fresh pasta or pizza. Being a vegetarian, I would get disgusted with having my food come into contact with meat. The hotel guests also use the same serving spoons to pick up cheese and cold cuts or rice and beef stew.. I had to tell a hotel guest that a vegan or vegetarian person doesn’t like this practice. I would also like to mention that there are a lot of cockroaches in the buffet. You will see them crawling on the walls behind the meat and pasta stations, crawling on the buffet area where your food is.. I was disgusted and didn’t eat much for a week. We paid for an ocean suite and when we got there, it was a standard suite and very dirty. Once we complained and got the ocean view, there was a huge difference. These rooms are updated and more clean. Getting a hot shower at peek times won’t happen so be sure to shower before 4pm if you want hot water. The only thing this hotel has going for them in nice staff and a gorgeous beach.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Awesome resort!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our relaxing vacation at the Sanctuary. We had a big beautiful room with a king size comfortable bed, spend some days drinking, swimming and tanning by the pool, spent the others hanging out at the beautiful beach with clear waters, non-stop drinks and burger grill right there. I have no idea why people have negative things to say about Cuban food; this was not our experience. The lunch and breakfast buffets exceeded our expectations! We ate a never ending amoun [... read more]t of meats and cheeses with both meals. Lunch buffet gave you the option of like 8 different land and sea meats they would freshly grill for you. We also really enjoyed our romantic dinners. We never left hungry or food on our plates. After a few drinks we also had the option of late night pizza and fries to bring to our rooms. I would highly recommend this resort if you're looking for a nice peaceful, relaxing vacation. Not exactly the best place for single people looking to hook-up though. Also, never beats the Cuban staff; so friendly, helpful, funny. After going here I would never go back to Mexico again.

very good resort stay in my memorie and to my friend radmila. we have plan to go again very big room with balcony food very perfect the best close to the beach white send snack bar open all night with burger. we saw a lot hungry cat and we feed them every day overall was perfect wit good weather

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Really nice time

Beaches are incredible. Food was very good and accommodations as well. Staff were excellent. We had a really good time. A little weird that the new renos for the bathroom didn't have a door, but we survived.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Nice resort

Everything is good, rooms and housekeeping is 5 stars. Hotel settings and organization, including staff 5 stars, food is very good only should be little more adjusted to older clients, (over 50) beach is 5 stars, the only little minus are bugs. That must be adjusted. Right behind the beach, there is pond of fresh water with mangrowes plants, and it is haven for many different bugs that MUST BE DRAINED BECAUSE IT IS HAVEN FOR BUGS. Everything else is 5 stars, WE WILL PROBABLY GO AGAIN. THANKS.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: 5 day trip

Save the money rooms are nicer in the family side. All adults buffet was awful, family side was great. Our room didn’t have blankets and when we asked we got an extra sheet. We didn’t have toilet paper in either room (we had two rooms) for the first 24 hours, had to go get some from the lobby. Staff are amazing except for the sunwing reps. Save the $150 and say on the family sode

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful beaches clean resort

The resort was clean and the grounds well maintained. Beautiful beach and large clean pools. Great staff and the food was awesome as was the entertainment. Minor issue with the water but was not a normal event for this resort was just unfortunate things happen but was rectified for the most part. I would go there again😁

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Paradise!!!

My boyfriend (30) and I (24) spent the week here for our birthdays. Wow wow wow, Let me say: when you arrive, you’re stepping into paradise! We spent extra to get a suite, which was well worth it. I would say we had the best location on the whole resort! Close to the pool/buffet, a beautiful lake view with tropical birds, and close to the ocean! 3901 all the way! The  [... read more]food is all fresh, and the CHEESE is the best I’ve ever had! Remember all the food is fresh, so they don’t need to be seasoned as much as North American food! But should you want it to be, they have salt, pepper, hot sauce, oregano, etc for the chefs to add to your liking. If you are a strict vegan it would be harder to eat here although you could do it. They have an abundance of fruit, hashbrowns, pastries, Salad, etc., but the food actually prepared by chefs is usually cross contaminated because being vegan/vegetarian isn’t a thing there, but they are accommodating! I’m vegetarian, so if you are too, I recommend the buffet as they have a delicious pasta bar with homemade sauce (white and red)! My body got so used to eating fresh food with no GMO’s or preservatives (cause everything’s grown in Cuba) that when I came back home me and my boyfriend got sick from eating North American food! So I recommend when you get home ease into ordering that burger! Excursions: If you want to do anything extra away from your resort I recommend talking to your airline rep on the resort! For Air Canada ours was Yanelis! She was amazing. If you book through her you get 30% off your spa day: we did a couples massage, mud mask, reflexology, and I got my hair braided. The spa is gorgeous - this was by for my favourite day. We also booked a beach party through her that all the resorts can go to - it included dance lessons, an afro Cuban show, and dance party. Our host was fantastic!! I don’t think there’s a Cuban that can’t dance btw! We also did an all in one which included going to the main land, horse and carriage ride, private band with their staple pina colada drinks, then their dolphin rescue where we swam with a mom and her 4 year old, and lastly scuba diving!!! I recommend the all in one because you can spend more of your vacation days relaxing at the resort while also doing everything on your list in one day! Beach: jaw-dropping, beautiful turquoise water. I recommend the diamond club especially for the beach, so you always have a chair available, and drinks brought to you. Always lots to do here like dancing, volleyball, water workouts, and snorkelling. You can always pay to go boating on the beach, but I recommend going through your airline rep as it’s safer and cheaper than going with the local guy. But people still do it! It’s just a smaller boat and more bumpy. Entertainment: I think the motto of Cayo Coco is if people aren’t dancing, it’s time to make them dance! At the end of the day it’s your vacation, so you can do what you want - but It’s worth letting your hair down, and joining the dance! Also, their nightly shows are fantastic! Their dancers have gone to school for this so they are professionals and know what they’re doing. It’s amazing to think that kind of entertainment comes with your stay at the resort. Also, the entertainment in the bar with the piano is top tier. Sax, guitar players, singing, dancing! Staff: Very professional and kind. They make you feel safe and at home. Our maid Madeline had our suite looking and smelling amazing every afternoon! The animal shapes she could fold with our towels were so fun! Also, you can’t walk anywhere without one of the gardeners saying “hola!” Or checking up on you. It was a great feeling. Chefs, bartenders, servers, everyone was on point. You can tell they are diligent with their training across the board. You can make your stay at Memories Caribe anything you want it to be: a relaxing vacation, a party, adventure, or a little bit of everything! We will be back soon Memories!

The resort is getting dated. Unfortunately the beach has badly deteriorated. We use to really enjoy this resort but beach is a main part of our vacation. But the staff are amazing. Always willing to do everything they can to make your stay as pleasant as they can !!!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Enjoyable time

My wife and I went here for our anniversary trip this year. The resort was clean and the beach was beautiful. We enjoyed our morning beach walks and spent most of our time near the pool lounging. Staff was friendly and helpful. Having unlimited Al carts was a nice added feature which we used nightly. Buffet for dinner seemed crowded while we were there as it is only open at the Grand memories resort. The Theatre put on a good show nightly. Market is a short walk which was a fun place to visit. Memories Paraiso: Amazing

This resort is like my second home everything was wonderful .The staff is amazing loved my stay at memories parizio always do and will continue to go back again and again the beach is beautiful .The food and entertainment staff are wonderful .Yanny is a server in front lobby she is amazing such a great worker and freind I look forward to seeing.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Wonderful resort!

Stayed at the adults only Sanctuary Nov.21-28. Perfect weather, excellent service. The best bed I have ever slept on in Cuba. Still some damage to the doors from last years hurricane, but all in all, very nice rooms with a bar and full fridge with water, pop and beer. Friendly staff, making the best of shortages. Clean, sandy beach.
