Everything was so clean! The food and drinks were amazing 😃
The beach was clean as was the water park. The weather was also amazing! I can't think of anything we didn't like.
We would happily return in the future for another vacation!!

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Five Star Resort!!!
We really loved the Majestic Mirage. Everything during our visit was top notch from the room, the pool, the beach as well as the restaurants. The only restaurant that still requires some fine tuning would be the gourmet restaurant. The service was great but the food still needs some improvements. We were staying in the Mirage Club and I have to say that the check in was amazing. We were brought to the club lounge upon arrival where we were offered drinks as well as some small snacks. We en[... read more]joyed this while completing all of our forms and then were taken on a short tour of the resort and brought to our room. Our luggage was delivered approx. 60 minutes later so please ensure you have a swimsuit in your carry on if you want to make your way to the pool immediately. We did so all was well. We really enjoyed the martini bar located just outside the Italian restaurant for cocktails every evening before dinner. Our butler Pablo was the best butler was have ever had. We have had many butlers on our travels throughout the years and he was by far the best so far. He organized a 75th birthday party for my aunt while we were there. He had a collage created on a canvas for her with the pictures we provided from that night. He always ensured our dinner reservations were done promptly. He would find us everyday on the beach or around the pool to ensure that everything was good and if there was something additional we required that day. During our stay my daughter left her cell phone on the bus when she was returning from Coco Bongo. The concierge in the Mirage Club went above and beyond to locate her phone and have it returned to the resort. The only information we were able to provide him with was the name of the bus company. The only constructive criticism I would have for the resort would be that they need additional air conditioning in their gym. I am a runner and used the gym 4 times during our 7 day stay. By the end of my 1 hour run, the heat was too much. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for 5 star service and a very relaxing vacation.

Riu Republica: Amazing place & people
The resort is great, very clean and well managed. The buffet should be open later. There wasn't any choice in beer, only 1 draft beer. you need a variety of beer like Coors Light , Corona would have been nice to have a choice. My husband will never return to any resort with a limit to only serving draft beer. When you pay for all inclusive you expect more for your dollar. Our luggage was beat up on this trip

Caribe Deluxe Princess: AVERAGE RESORT
The grounds and beach were very well kept. The buffet was average but the ala carts we went to were great , Asian, Italian and Brazilian. along with the seafood . The rooms are old and the workers were not friendly. We had trouble 2 days in a row with our room and they did not care . They have a huge issue with people reserving chairs and not using them all day on the beach and by the pool. there is not enough chairs .They need to be regulated .There was almost fists flying in 2 separate instan[... read more]ces Will I go back there (probably not)

Paradise Playa Dorada: Mixed feelings
We have visited this resort in February with a large group of friends. 20 people in 7 rooms. Our biggest disappointment started right away. They have scattered us all over the hotel grounds with complete disregard to families. Children under 10 were placed in different buildings from their parents We all specifically asked for adjoining rooms, but to no avail. Nobody at the reception was willing to help out. Their response was that the hotel is completely full. The indifference the front staff [... read more]showed was staggering . It was quite funny that when one of the rooms was missing a bed, instead of staff moving one more bed in there, the same unpleasant man at the front without hesitation just changed them into another room. We were told to go at the morning meeting to arrange differently with the guide from Air Transat. So if you are booking extra room for your children, make sure the travel agent takes care of it at the time of booking, because they will not help you here. The Air Transat rep started the morning meeting telling all of us that if we need changes regarding our room, to contact the reception staff.
Unfortunately this has continued throughout our stay. Anything we have asked for the response was negative, "we don't have it", we can't do that, we ran out. ( just to clarify , we have asked for mustard and such) To find a helpful person was hard. The only exception was the animation staff. They were kind and willing all the time.
This was a big surprise for us, we were used to traveling to Cuba with this same group for many years and the warm and kindness we were treated with was missing here.
Food was great, a large variety was made at all meals in a tasty way.
If you like coffee, than sorry to say but they can't make it here. At the pool bar they have a better machine, but they open later after 10:30 am. If Rolli happens to be there he will make coffe for you, even though sometimes they had 4-5 staff in there, they kept pointing at their watches that they are still closed.
Their way out of helping you is pretending not to speak or understand english. All their alcoholic drinks come from premixed plastic jugs. You will not get a freshly mixed mohito.
Beautiful beach, sand and water, we spent most of out days here. They never have enough beach-loungers and they don't have ANY umbrellas. You fry on the sun because there is no shade. Plenty at the VIP section, even empty ones, just not for your use.
We had a great vacation, but this is a resort I would never return to. For a country where tourism brings in the revenue as in this case, staff needs to be trained and picked differently.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Nice resort
This was my second time at this resort and the service was not as good as last year but better than other resorts I have been at. We never met the butler but did not really need one. We met up with some friends and we were not greeted the same which is not that big of a deal for us but the lack of consistency is a problem. We sat around the pools most of the times and sometimes we did not see any waiters and sometimes we did. Overall it is a very nice resort and friendly staff.

Excellence Punta Cana: Excellent Vacation
Just returned from the Excellence Punta Cana. As per some previous reviews, I would agree that the resort was a bit tired. We had an amazing time and would return if the price was right but I will say it didn't compare to the Excellence in Playa Mujures Mexico. The food was good but not great. Service was good, not great. And even alcohol wasn't top shelf like in Mexico. That being said, the weather was much hotter - which we liked and had more of an island feel that Mexico. Had we not be[... read more]en to the Excellence in Mexico, I'm sure I would have given this resort a 5 star review. But, I can't help but compare and so would rate it 4 stars. They are about to undergo a major renovation in July. We will look forward to returning when that has been completed.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: AMAZING!!!
I stayed at the Cofresi Palm Beach with a group of 3 people during the week of Feb 21-28. Let me start off with saying how amazing this resort is. I have been to over 10 all inclusive resorts all over the Caribbean and this one is the best place I been too. When you first enter the resort there is a sign saying “Welcome home, the most amazing place is the Caribbeanâ€, Very true!!!
I stayed in the Junior Suite room (building 40). I recommend paying the extra money as you get the extra priv[... read more]ileges which are:
-Bigger room (very spacious)
-Building 40 was right in front of the main pool, restaurant and beach
-Access to most resorts connected with Lifestyle
-Vip beach (cabanas, sushi bar, food and drinks brought to you)
Pros:
-Shuttle service
-The VIP welcome sunday party (show, fireworks, dinner) Its for everyone and all the buffets are closed as you have to go there if you want to eat. Shuttle takes you.
-Different food every lunch and dinner.
-Good nightly shows.
-Casino is 3 mins away & bus takes you there.
-Clean.
Cons:
-Big resort ( a lot of walking and stairs).
-Some alcartes are buffet.
-There are many levels of vips in this resort, you might be denied in some places and some bars.
-No snack bar that is open 24 hours, we arrived at 5pm to the resort and would not get food.
-No lobby bar.
-Bar closes at 12am but you can go to Tropical Resort which is open till 5am.
-Timeshare place (didn’t bug me).

TRS Turquesa: 4-4.5 star
The hotel was nice but paid a lot of money and expected the rooms to be nicer. After first night asked for a room upgrade which they did no problem for $20 per night fee. Much better room and a view. Beds were extremely hard and asked twice if they had a mattress pad .. twice they said yes but never received one. Food at restaurants was very good. I recommend you make dinner reservations first day you are there otherwise you could have a long wait. Some restaurants don't have staff that speak E[... read more]nglish so that was a little challenging. Lots of restaurant choices. Butlers weren't on hand as mentioned in the package. Most staff were very good but some staff clearly did not like their job. Tips are included but naturally you do however pool staff seemed to disappear once they got a tip. Beaches were beautiful and they keep vendors off the beach but you step one foot off and every step you get a vendor trying to get you into their store. The grounds were well kept and always staff working on site. All in all a nice place. We will go back to Punta Cana but would not go there again. We will try another resort. Oh & stay away from the free game at the casino. That will only cost you money. Read up on gambling in PC before you do it.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Bad resort
This resort is definitely not a 4* by any means
My husband and I travel allot and like to explore different resorts. It was the same activities and music everyday!!! It was very boring
No swimup bar--you had to walk a ways to get to bar. My niece got out of the pool to go and get us a drink and got in trouble because she was wet walking into the snack bar area to get a drink?????
Rooms were very old. We had no lights except for the bathroom fir 3 days. I ask for help on 3 different occasio[... read more]ns but still no lights. I thought I'd look into myself and moved out the table the lamp was on and I went to take out the plug to change it to another plug in our room. I got an electric shock that knocked me on my butt. I walked down to the front desk and demanded this be fixed immediately. Oh they came alright and fixed it with scotch tape !!!!
Same desserts and food pretty much everyday. Our patio doors lock was broken. We paid for superior oceanview-//all we could see us trees not the ocean!!
At every bar you went there was one bartender. Huge lineups all the time. Totally sucked
The list goes on and on
We never complain about any of the other resorts we've been to but I had to complain about this one. Sorry

Punta Cana Princess: Wonderful Resort
The resort was beautifully landscaped. The grounds people were very gracious in ensuring we were not harmed in any way when tending to the grounds.
I cannot say enough about the service staff. All waiters, servers, maids and front desk staff were excellent. Always smiling and helping to assist us and provided clarification with our limited spanish. Smiles on all their faces all the time. Special mention should go out to Glynnes who served us our first drink. She had a wonderful perso[... read more]nality and continued to ensure we were looked after at the bar during our stay. Jasmin was extremely friendly as well with a great spirit. While in the ala cartes, Alta Gracia and Yiesel were wonderful. They both ensured we had everything we needed and went overboard at times. We also enjoyed Louiza at the bar as well. Darwyn always looked after us at the after hours bar. During breakfast we enjoyed interacting with Ordalina who ensured our coffee was full. She was very sweet. Reynaldo kept us well fed as well with his great personality. At guest services, Thomas went out of his way to ensure we could connect by phone to a relative. He also provided professional advise about going off the resort.
During the day at the pool, we always looked forward to seeing Grey who always had a smile and ensured we had everything we needed. We enjoyed her company and look forward to seeing her again next time. I can't say enough about Grey as she was so genuinely friendly and sincere.
One of the most important things when travelling is to have a room that is inviting and clean. Lucy was one of the best maids we have ever had while travelling. I am so grateful that she takes pride in her work. When I requested extra bedding, it was there within the day. We were very pleased with her work.
One thing I wasn't pleased with was the staff at the gift shop. When we went into the shop, we were constantly followed around like we were criminals and sales staff rarely thanked us for our purchases or smiled. I am, sorry I have to add this but think it's important.
All in all a great resort with wonderful staff. I am sure I have missed some wonderful staff members but again am very satisfied and pleased with the service we received while at the resort.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: February 2017
This was a return trip. Six weeks in the past two years and enjoyed the vacation with the exception of the drinks at the regular bars and at the buffet. Some were undrinkable. The Vintage lounge and the VIP beach drinks were, as usual, wonderful. That is, if you purchase the Premium package. The VIP beach was crowded this time and the umbrellas and shade is limited. First time we had to go to the beach early each morning to reserve seats as the sign indicating that items would be removed after a[... read more] short period of time. The Vintage lounge seemed to be more of a "BAR" this time than a lounge as it was often loud and noisy with groups doing shooters and very rude behavior without consequences from staff. As to the future-if these problems are addressed by the new management we may consider returning.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: March 2017 VH Grand Ventana
Everything was wonderful, great location, beach etc. The pool and Beach areas need more shade umbrellas. Having to get up before the sun comes up to get a shady spot is unacceptable. The wine served in the bars and restaurants is not good, with the exception of the Vintage Lounge which is only accesible if you are part of the Royal or Premium package.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: First time at Bahia
The resort is very clean and well kept. Large area, good transportation to the beach (Building 72) and to pools and restaurants. Food at buffets was plentiful, sometimes too salty for my taste. It was hard to get reservations for 6 pm seating, even when restaurants were half empty. Japanese was the best. Most staff do not speak English, which is a little drawback. Evening shows. Only one evening show was OK, others were "teach merengue " and dance with guests. Lots of shade at the beach under pa[... read more]lm trees. Not a 5 star hotel, but 4 1/2 for me.
Ask for a good map at arrival. We did not get one, later a bad b/w copy and after few days, a good "fold-out" map.
At the beach, only one restroom for men and one for women. Usually, two to three guest waiting. No towel service at the beach. Leaky toilet in room did not get fixed for two weeks, water being wasted. An at buffet restaurant, one toilet ha broken chain for three days, even I showed the manager with a clip board three times. Those are small concerns, that do not make this resort 5*
