Platinum Yucatan Princess: Best restaurants we’ve seen so far on an all inclusive

Service: we were impressed with how friendly the staff constantly was. Buffets: food was excellent and high end options like tbone steaks cooked to order were common. Drip Coffee was good. A la cartes: no reservation needed at any of the 4 locations. Every location was excellent both in quality and service. The food was the caliber of high end restaurants in North America. Presentation of plates was excellent. Pools: were really uncrowded and did not need to reserve chairs. Cement sid [... read more]ewalks are rough... the top layer is disentagrating. There was a quiet pool and a party one. Chairs were of high quality. Some cushioned canopy beds are available at certain locations and easy to find one without reserving. Beach: it has been hit hard by a hurricane and not a great place to swim. The beach is extremely long however and can be walked. Chairs are abondant. Little grill by the beach has great food options and the cook was great and friendly. Lots of birds around which is a little annoying. Entertainment: there’s always something going on. We didn’t attend much of the nightly stuff. We found some of the entertainment annoying at the party pool but it’s not hard to go somewhere else. Lunch: kind of limited. I wished they had a larger option at the Rodeo grill location. The regular buffet is pretty good. We also tried the lunch buffet at the Princess Riviera resort next door and that was large with lots of options but service was poor. Grounds: gorgeous and extremely clean and well maintained. Built in 2013. Maintenance: prompt to fix problems. Our room was upgraded upon arrival to a king bed with jacousi on balcony room in building 3. Gorgeous! We would have no issue returning to this location. We were sad to leave.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Excellent resort

Very nice resort. Would definitely go back. Excellent food and quality alcohol brands. Very hard working staff and very friendly. Tightly contained site so not too far to walk to any amenity or restaurant or beach or pool. Only complaint is the Internet reception was spotty in our hotel room.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Beautiful Barcelo Colonial

This is at the top of our list of amazing resorts. The hotel is beautiful with everything you would want or need. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Pools are huge and an amazing pool area for kids.

Zel Cozumel: Great resort for families

This resort was very nice, staff very nice and friendly, great kids club, amazing beach but weather wasn't great so were not able to enjoy like we could do it was a good thing that there was many sports like tennis, mini golf, soccer on the beach and great walks along the beach even if weather wasn't great. Nightlife very quite so if you are looking for nightlife this resort isn't it but if you want to rest then you have all you need. Food was very good and they had a nice variety. Villas Vallarta by Canto del Sol: Good, established resort close in to town centre

This resort has been around for a while and it is one that I would highly recommend. It is well run and well maintained. It is good value for the money. The staff are friendly and the food is good. It is a short taxi ride into the old town of PV. The only knock is that they need more elevators. Then, of course there is the big "time share" thing that seems to plague every resort down in Mexico. So sad!

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Loved it !!!!!

All staff was Amazing I would like to personally thank Omar & bartender (beach bar) Jesus (everywhere awsome) Victor (surf instructor) Eder (surf instructor) Life guards Bernardo (disco) Jasmin (disco) Adult pool staff And many more Thank you for making it the best vacation ever :) !!!!! The Tenors were beyond incredible WOW!!!!

Grand Riviera Princess: Amazing! Very Big, But Lots of Options

Jan 18 Feb 1 2018 Beautiful Resort, with great restaurants, lots of options for beach and pool We upgraded to Platinum, and beach are is wonderful, although water is rocky, dirty with algae and some garbage washing in.. Beach bar is usually quite lined up, and with only 1 washroom at beach, makes for long lineups for women at least! Wondering wait staff are very good! Lupita was wonderful! Rooms are OK, This resort is very large, and does have regular trolley service throughout resort.

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: A Fantastic Resort!

This is a great resort with really great food and hard working friendly staff. Several pools, well groomed beach with lots of chairs. Entertainment was good too. Food was excellent, bars served good quality drinks. We definitely would come back...however..there were a couple of issues. We requested ocean view rooms ( friends of ours and us)- didn't get them. We really didn't like the high pressure sales pitch(time share) upon checkin but ither than that - no complaints.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great relaxing vacation

Food and variety was awesome Coffee shop vanialla latte was out of this world! Great relaxing holiday would recommend. this resort for families, groups and couples The grounds were well maintained. Staff friendly and helpful. Nothings really to complain about at this resort.

Riu Dunamar: new resort great staff

lots of different things were offered. Everyone was so welcoming. We could play beach volleyball or be in the water with some crazy people from Montreal. We all had a great time. Food well can I say it was great everything anyone could of wanted it was there . Loads of fresh fruit and different restaurants that we could go to. Just be prepared nothing else around Cancun is 1 hour away. Great sand for anyone that wants to walk several miles.

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: Stunning nature, could be so much more

The staff were fantastic. The natural beauty of this resort is unparalleled. That being said, the resort is chronically underfunded and under supported. There was a large influx of people one of the nights when we were there and we ended up waiting about 20 minutes to get a table for dinner and never ended up being served by a waiter. We just went to the buffet and helped ourselves. The bartender turned me away when I tried to get a drink. Poor guy was completely swamped. Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: A Little disappointing

Over all Secrets Capri is a good resort. We were a little dissipointed with our stay due to several factors. I felt for the most part that we were treated well, but compared to Dreams ( which we stayed at last year) There was a certain level of indifference especially when it came to our room. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: A good 5 star

FOOD---- 5 Star ROOM--- 4 1/2 Star---Insufficent space for clothes. No drawers,limited number of shelves . Over-all, a long trip from the airport,but we would be still consider returning.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort but...

I have been to several 4 or 5 star resorts and this one was one of the bests in term of quality of amenities, cleanliness, friendly staff, convenience, attention to details and such. I recommend the resort to my friends for sure. However there were two issues that I didn’t like. First was the reservation problem; when we arrived at the resort at 11pm after hours of traveling to check in, they said they don’t have any room available!!! They were going to send us to another resort for the nig [... read more]ht (20 minues from the resort) and ask us to come back the next day to check in!! But after they saw us resisting to leave, all of a sudden they found a room available in the resort and they said it’s because there was a cancellation, we can give it to you now!!! The second issue was the quality of the beach... I was excepting to see a torquise blue beach but what we had was a beach full of seaweeds... which made us spend the whole time by their pools. Other than these two issues, I truly enjoyed my time in that resort.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Absolutely breathtaking resort!!

The service was great....right from the bus that brought us to the resort from the airport, to the check in, to the food,to the amenities....everything was top grade. Personally, I do have a problem with the language differences. It is my opinion that since Barcello has so many English speaking guests, they should put more effort and attention to teaching their staff to speak that language. Some of them could not speak/understand one word....this makes it very difficult to communicate!!  [... read more]Beyond that, our stay was wonderful and my grandaughter's wedding venue and ceremony was amazing. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Best One Yet

First time at Azul Fives in Maya Riveria. Initially not sure about the layout as it is large, but fantastic. Grounds were very well kept and clean. Large forest area throughout that let the monkeys roam at will. This resort caters to the wildlife as well as the guest, nice touch. Food was outstanding and the best we have had in our multiple trips through out Mexico. No restrictions on ala carte restaurants and only needed to make reservations at 2 of the 6. Gourmet Food in all areas and tasty. [... read more] Service was excellent and all were very friendly and greeted with genuine pleasure. Only exception was the bartenders around the beach, not very accommodating to guest at the bar. I believe it was because they were understaffed and trying to meet everyone's needs. Beach was excellent well cared for, other pools (all throughout) were nice but too cold to get into. The adult pool was the exception as it was heated and nice and quiet. Thanks to all the staff

Royal Hideaway Playacar: Wonderful vacation

We were at the Royal Hideaway for 11 days and loved the resort. The weather wasn't on our side that week but it made no difference to our enjoyment. The staff were amazing. We were treated royally by everyone. We had a luxury room and it was very comfortable with all our needs met. Especially loved our patio that we could retreat to at the end of the day. The a la carte was first class. Loved all the restaurants. The grill was my least favourite, however still good but we didn't repeat.  [... read more] There was some renovations going on at the resort at the time of our stay which is to be expected I suppose, however the inconvenience was short lived. A suggestion to the resort - bring the Mexican buffet back on the Thursday fiesta event at the Club Royal. Most people we spoke to said it was fabulous and better than the a la carte fixed menu. We will definitely be returning. First class resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great resort

Very good value....only complaint would be the rooms....very large but lack of closet and storage space and poor lighting. Staff, service, food, entertainment drinks etc were all top notch. Although not on the beach, regular transportation is provided to an adults only section. Only about a 10 minute ride

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Very noisy room

We stayed in building 8. At end on ground floor, by the stairwell and elevator. It was noisy from 8 am until 5 from staff and carts with virtually no break in the noise level. Combined with coming and going by guests, not at all restful. It was the worst hotel room I’ve ever had. The grounds are extensive, walking to beach, main buffet and bar average step count was 10,000 a day. The nightly entertainment was poor other than circus night.
