Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Awesome Resort

I would highly recommend this resort the staff waz great always smiling and ready to help in any way and the food and it was very clean.The night time entertainment was awesome alor of funny acts.We really enjoyed our stay there and will probley return with more friends😎

Isla Natura Beach: NOT 4 STARS!

Isla Natura Resort is quiet and beautiful. But there are some aspects of this place that made me very leery of how resort ratings are awarded/done. My family and I have been going to Mexico for >10 years for our annual winter vacation. I look at star ratings when I shop for the all-inclusive resort. This one really missed the mark. I would say that this is a weak 3 stars; DEFINITELY NOT 4 stars! So let's break down the biggies for me. Beach - Main - picturesque, small but not overly populated, [... read more] rocky, steeply dips from shallow to deep, not for weak swimmers. Second - smaller, more rocks, swimming not recommended. Service - Prepare to serve yourself or practice patience+++. The staff tries but language barrier and lack of staffing may have played a big part. Food - Not much variety, same old everyday. I think my husband and son (who are not picky eaters) lived on cereal and yogurt for breakfast; hamburger/hotdog for lunch. Dinner is a la carte but the loooong wait for food and 'weight watchers' portions (typically fish/meat with some sauce and steam veggies) I deemed ridiculous. But, this is the deal breaker for me, we repeatedly observed unsanitary practices (Recycling unused bread from another table, using used napkins to clean the table, cleaning serving plates by just wiping them, etc.)! Implication of serious health risk - Not cool Isla Natura! ZERO Star!!! Activities - ecological tour guide does not speak English, we did use the kayak x 2 days but night entertainment of 1 singer 3 x a week was very sad!!! We mostly used our ipad for entertainment but wifi only works in lobby. Potential is there but we will not recommend and we will not go back to this resort.

Riu Dunamar: Review of Riu Dunamar

Amazing beach, can walk along the beach for hours. Turquoise water, in good weather. Staff are very friendly and attentive. We ate dinner mostly at the buffet because of the good variety of différent meats and fish. At lunch we ate at the Italian restaurant, the saumon was really good. Drinks were good and made to order. Our room was big, very clean and face the océan. The unightly entertainment was fun, and well attended. The coffre in the buffet is bad, but we just got our expresses [... read more] andetc. from the Sports Bar, where it was gréât. All in all despite, mostly a cloud and windy week, we had a gréât time.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Wonderful family trip

Resort is beautiful, lots of pools and kids will love the waterpark. Pool entertainment staff are awesome and the restaurants for dinner offer a wife variety, plus they have a coffee and ice cream shop

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great Resort!!

The grounds were beautiful. Very well maintained. Family suite had tons of space. Lots of pools with lots of bars and places to eats. We loved the buffet. Probably the best buffet we've had at a resort. Lots of activities to do around the grounds. The gym was beautiful and the spa was excellent. We'd go back but with the kids next time!

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: We liked it better last year

This resort offers a lot for kids to do and the new water slides were awesome but a few of the attractions weren't working and the service overall has seem to have taken a nosedive. Our room completely flooded by the patio door where the kids were in their bunks. The front desk service left much to be desired. The overall quality and variety of food was less than last year and this year our mini bar was never restocked without us ordering more to the room and having to pay additional charges  [... read more]even for drinking water. I don't think we'll be going for a third year.

Temptation Resort & Spa: New bash tower and area is best area of resort

New Bash tower and area around it was best area of resort. The old sections were cleaned up a little outside. Inside all of the rooms not so much was done to them. All of the bathrooms smelled so bad from drains in shower and under sinks due to sewage problems, which cannot be fixed unless they rebuild total buildings and tear out all waste pipelines. Main pool area has 100 people too many and overcrowded and dirty. 11am checkout is not acceptable. Too many people smoking in public areas. Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Sunscape Hotel Puerto Vallarta

We like the hotel because of its location. The beach is nice and there is lots of activity on the beach. The biggest problem on the beach was the hotel did not supply enough lounges or chairs for the number of guests. People were up at 7:00 a.m. placing a towel on their lounge and kept the same chair the whole day. The hotel has been upgraded and the upgrades are very nice. We are familiar with the hotel as we were there several times when owned by the Holiday Inn. We were disappointed wi [... read more]th the room we received on arrival. It was a handicap room on the bottom floor. The shower was huge and there was no door on it, nor did we receive a bath mat and had to use one of our two towels to keep water off the bathroom floor. It was very noisy during the night as people were partying very late and people were talking loudly. After the second night, we were able to move to another room in the tower, which was very acceptable. The dining area has been improved and made larger. We missed having the colorful tablecloths that were used by the Holiday. They used a placemat on each table, which was very seldom cleaned. Also, they did not supply salt and pepper at each table. We had to ask for them at each meal. They did not provide straws for the drinks, making it very difficult to drink an icy drink..

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Mostly great... except the deprived captive animals

Overall it was a great trip. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful - and there's a lot of them so the vast majority were warm and welcoming. The place was clean and the food was pretty good. I was irritated with some of the hostess' attitudes (e.g. at Portofino) and one in the Viva Mexico restaurant speaking about my dress in Spanish not knowing that I too speak Spanish (although one gentleman later came and apologized to me, and my server Roberto was excellent). I was disapp [... read more]ointed that my daughter's tiny, size 7 toddler, hard to replace flip flops were stolen from our room leaving her with only runners half of our stay. I also heard that a smaller amount of money was taken out of my friend's wallet while it was being cleaned. I feel as though if I complained I would have reimbursed me for them but I didn't feel like having the awkward, negative conversation while debating if someone steals shoes because they're paid poorly (I don't know how well staff are/aren't paid) is it still wrong? I didn't need that on my conscience on vacation. The "zoo" however is unconscionable. Two monkeys are cooped up in a small cage containing one tree with no branches Spider monkeys travel between 1 to 3km daily with a group of 10 to 30 family members. The ostrich looks unwell, like it's been pulling out its own feathers. It was awful to see.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Family Vacation With Teens

Our first family vacation in a long time and expectations were high! We booked Run of the House but next time will book specific resort. We didn’t like the unknown factor as we couldn’t find out where we were staying until arriving at Cancun airport and speaking with Air Canada Rep. A family of four including my 18 & 13 year old sons. Gym was great and we used it most days. No line up for check in but as expected room wasn’t ready until 3pm so we went for lunch at buffet to fill the time. Rooms were only real disappointment. They were very tired especially bathroom. Public washrooms were more appealing by far!! I realize climate is humid but bed was damp and smelly regardless of turning air/fans on. Been to Riviera Maya before and did not experience this. Very hard to sleep and woke with smelly hair and pjs :( Grounds are beautiful, beach is amazing, pool is cold but refreshing! Resort is 1 hour 15 mins from airport which we were aware of and resigned to just enjoying scenery. Enjoyed convenience and location of lobby bar at Tropical (close to our rooms). Able to have early am coffee/cappuccino before buffet opened and pre dinner drink while waiting for others to dress for dinner. Coffee is amazing BTW! Buffet was good for breakfast but redundant for lunch/dinner. We went to 3 different ones to try and mix it up a little. A la carte restaurants: México Lindo our fav!! La Trattoria italian amazing HUGE portions!! Tokyo Japan fun experience, meal was ‘fine’. Santa Fe steak house least favourite but ‘fine’. Staff/servers were very friendly and helpful for the most part. Some grumpy bartenders at beach bar, and front desk. Overall great vacation and would return to Barcelo Maya again, for sure.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Great Resort

This is a great place to stay great service great food great rooms the only thing is there is a lack of options off resort if this place was in Ixtapa it would be Fantastic. Also so people are aware there is basically no beach at this resort and the one real annoyance was there were no chairs and tables in the pool areas, not everyone wants to sit on broken sagged out loungers all day.

Costa Club Punta Arena: Don't go there!

We have just recently checked into this hotel. Overall not a bad place if you're not a luxury traveller, however, what nobody tells you is that there are 2 construction zones going on right now to the same time; one from the hotel itselfs renovating three guest floors and another one between the hotel and the beach, where they are piece by piece tearing down a ruine of a hotel. This means two sources of noise from Monday til Friday morning to evening. It was so bad that we had to transfer to a  [... read more]different hotel. And as this wasnt enough AC had lost our luggage plus we were charged to stay at a different hotel and were charged for a hotel we never stayed at! Last time that we booked with TripCentral or AirCanadaVacations.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: sublime time

it was the best getaway after cold climates in Hamilton. the warmth and the sun on your skin, the palm trees, the food was fresh, the staff friendly, hotel was accommodating. the fruits were endless to eat. everything was clean.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Friendly staff

Reasonable and satisfactory. Rate it fair. Food is ok. Enjoyed evening entertainment. Location is great. Rooms are clean. Bathrooms seem old and in need of updating. Furniture in rooms are dirty.

Moon Palace Cancun: Stunning!

The Grand at Moon palace is beautifully designed, and runs like a well oiled machine. They are also incredibly accommodating and planned out for disabled persons. We were given the use of a wheelchair 100% of the grounds and many of the pools were accessible this way. Food was amazing, and we didn’t even scratch the surface of restaurants and activities that were available to us. The resort is impeccably spotless, as was the beach. We loved it so much, our family booked for spring break while we were there, and we will definitely be back ourselves!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing resort

What a great resort very clean. Amazing and friendly staff. We Defiently will be going again with the family. The food and shows where great. Lots of things to do with the kids. Cant wait to go again in the near future.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Finally the top resort

What a pleasant surprise. We just returned from Valentin Imperial Maya where we were for one week. I rate this resort a perfect 5 star. The accommodations, the grounds, the staff and yes the top quality food. This was the best vacation I have had in years.

Villa Del Mar: Awesome Resort!

They hotel was a very nice place, lots of time share residents and a quiet resort which was good for us. ( Not a party atmosphere) Clean, well maintained, service and food was absolutely amazing!!!!!!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great resort!

This resort is beautiful!! It's clean, the food was great, the staff was super friendly and helpful! There is lots to do right on the resort which was great! The pools are amazing! All over super impressed with this resort and I would definitely go back :)

Grand Sunset Princess: Amazing resort!

We loved the grounds, the rooms and the service was exellent! The beach has shadow, the water is great, however there are some rocks when entering the water, but easy to avoid.The evening entertainment vas great and we danced many evenings.
