Secrets St James: Amazing!

We travel a lot and this is one of our favourites hotels by far! Very conscious of Cleanliness and covid protocols. Service was THE BEST that we have ever had at any resort. Food was amazing and the property itself was well kept and beautiful.

Ocean Eden Bay: Very good resort

I found thr restaurants very good food of good quality and well prepared. Room was large and clean. Grounds are well maintained, with lots of security. The bars are well stocked with premium alcohol and bartenders knowledgeable in shaking up nice and varied cocktails however we understood it to be a adult only resort,but with the ocean eden next door children are allowed into the restaurant area. The staff were most helpful and pleasant

Ocean Coral Spring: Extremely poorly managed resort with the worst beach I've ever seen

This resort has the worst beach in the entire Caribbean. It's filled with sharp and jagged rocks which makes it impossible to enter or even swim. Everyone hangs out by the pool but there is a lack of chairs and beds so everyone has to wake up at 6am to reserve chairs/beds by putting their towels and belongings. If you arrive to the pool by 8am, there are literally no free chairs or beds left. There are long lines to eat at all of the restaurants and the buffet. The restaurants don't take re [... read more]servations so we would arrive 30 minutes before it opened in order to get a table. The furniture in the rooms are stained and our balcony was infested with mosquitos. If you need to call the front desk, they never answer the phone so it's impossible to get help with anything (e.g. extra towels, assistance with luggage, room service, etc). Our room had no hangers or robes or even a bath mat. We also had no hand or face towels and on one day we had no towels at all and had to borrow some of the room next door because no one would answer the phone at the front desk. It boggles my mind that this place is rated as 5-stars.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Best Trip Ever

I've been to many resorts at many different locations and this was by far the best. The resort, food, staff, vibes and sun was absolutely amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Highly recommend!

Ocean Eden Bay: So Much Potential, but Disappointing Service

This resort has wonderful interior design. It was very clear that whomever the designer(s) are, they are very on trend. The food was delicious. BUT the service was terrible. This is classified as a 5 star and my partner and we had upgraded to the "Privilege" level of the resort which is supposed to provide you as a guest with top-level service and perks. At check in, we were not greeted by anyone at the front door direction between the "Privilege" check-in desk and the regular desk - we had  [... read more]to learn that the hard way after standing in the general lineup to check in. We were handed a package by the clerk after checking in properly and told to wait for our "Butler". He dropped us off at our room, gave us a phone number to reach him on and went on his way. There was no explanation of how things work at the resort, what our reservation number was (which you need for room service), how to use our hot tub in our room, etc. I'll spare most of the nitty-gritty details for everything but we had several issues such as feeling like we were inconveniencing the bar staff when we wanted drinks, reservations were not scheduled correctly, wait times at restaurants were REALLY long and they did not have enough staff to fill the restaurants at dinner. Room service did not show up on a few occasions and once came 1.5 hours later, ice cold. We were supposed to also received a fully stocked "premium bar" in our room fridge....all that was was 1 small shot of vodka. EVERYONE we spoke to at the resort was having the same issues. Disorganization, rude customer service from many bar tenders, long wait times, not the service we paid for, running out of wine at restaurants, not having all of the menu options available (and I'm talking they would normally say that 3 to 4 items on the menus were not available and there are 7 options overall), etc. The beach was small and full of coral rock, but still beautiful. As privilege guests, we were also supposed to receive beach service. We got that for 1 hour on only 1 day of our entire week stay.... The pool was beautiful. And they tried some entertainment, but it was the same every day and needed a bit more oomph to get people going. Our PCR test was a disaster. They ran out of tests after 35 were done...knowing there were 200 appointments that day. My partner received his results the night before our departure and I had to stand in line 40 minutes before my bus departure to have mine resent because it didn't make it to me...this happened to countless others leaving that day with us as well. The positives were that the support staff (like our housekeeper) was amazing and the food was really great when you finally got it.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Top notch resort!

Being Jamaican myself, I can’t get over how amazing the food was!!!😮It’s not easy to cook Jamaican meals on a big scale like they do for the resort and capture the same taste as you would for your small family! It was better than any Jamaican food I’ve tasted!!! Sorry grandma lol. The staff!!!! I have to mention certain staff from the buffet area, namely… Ricardo, Marvin and Karlene… these staff members are a GEM!!! I can’t say enough about them! You don’t come across people like these staff everyday! I’m in awe with their service!!😮 Then there’s Michael at the front desk! He provided customer service at the highest level!!! I’m so happy with my stay that my partner and I have decided to visit the said resort at least twice per year. We came back home and told our adult kids about the AMAZING experience we’ve had, they were excited to book the next trip with us. Our next trip will be before year end and instead of 2 there will be 7 of us, at least!!!! I’ve always stayed with hotel chain ( Grand Bahia) whenever I travel ( punts Cana & la romana) but have never done Jamaica. Jamaican experience got us locked in as life members 😁I’m blown away. Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Simply amazing!

It was a distinct pleasure to stay at Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay in February 2022. The experience was very wonderful and excellent. Front desk and guest service were very helpful. Housekeeping had the rooms very well kept and tidy. The grounds at the resort are actually very beautifully landscaped. The food was very delicious (breakfast, lunch and supper). A la Carte dinners were exceptiionally tasty and the staff were very nice to us. Hands on manager (Rash) at the A la [... read more] Carte dinners was also excellent. We had excellent tours through JTL - Dream catamaran, bamboo rafting and of course 9 Mile (Bob Marley)!. JTL staff at the hotel were very helpful and supportive. We wish we could have stayed longer and, needless to say, we are already planning our return visit. It was nice to have the Covid testing on site and results were promptly available. All in all it was an excellent experience. Kudos to you all staff!!

Riu Reggae: Wonderful staff

This was our 3rd stay at Riu Reggae. We hadn’t been there since the beginning of Covid. The staff starting from front desk, entertainment, wait staff, bartenders, spa, and landscaping were all, as always, wonderful. We were however disappointed in the lack of respect of some guests who disregarded mask and noise rules, and at times common decency. The food was not of the standard that we had really enjoyed in the past. The steak was tough, and were not the cuts described on the menu. The so [... read more] called ribeye was at best a fatty hunk of blade steak. We also noticed the disappearance of premium liquors and good house wines. The sand on the beach was our biggest concern. The hotel is using ground-up limestone to fill sparse sand areas specifically the beach volleyball. My husband had to visit the nurse after diving for a ball. His knees were scraped to bleeding point because this substance is very course and not even pleasant to walk on. Other disappointments were poor television reception, a la carte restaurants weren’t available some nights, and the advertised “free shuttle” to the nearby mall was non-existent. I’m not sure if we’ll be back.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Nice hotel pitty about the food

The hotel was nice and the staff were lovely but the food really let the place down the breakfast food was cold and dinners were ok nothing that stands out probably since they are reopening fully from covid maybe it will be better once all restrictions are done

Grand Lido Negril: Amazing Hotel and Lovely staff

We had a wonderful vacation at this hotel. It was our first trip to Jamaica and great staff of Grand Lido made it unforgettable for us. Thanks to Kimberly, Orane, Betina, Tiana and our great butlers. love you guys.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Amazing Resort!!!

This resort easily has the BEST beach in the area! The water is incredibly clear with absolutely no seagrass anywhere (further down the beach in both directions, we saw some, but nothing at this resort) The grounds are immaculate, the rooms very clean, the food is excellent, and all the staff are super friendly. (I just wish they didn’t have to wear masks all the time, so we could see their friendly smiles!) There is not a single thing I would complain about. Couples Negril: Repeat Visitors

We absolutely love this resort (3RD TIME) and will be returning next year. The food is always amazing and the service can't be beat. Most everything is included in the price and being a smaller resort, you don't have to content with crowding (you don't have reserve your chair!) Once discovered, most people return time and time again. The Couples rewards are a nice bonus.

Ocean Eden Bay: Great Resort. Music Too Loud

We stayed at the Ocean Eden Bay resort from Feb 04-11/22. The rooms were amazing with the swim up pool. Food was amazing. Just the music was constant. At the beach, around the pool and at night. Loud and total unnecessary.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Clean Resort but Not Worth the Extra Cost for the Luxury Side

We booked the Bahia Principe Luxury side thinking that it would be better during Covid. What a disappointment! No social distancing at the pool with lounge chairs and people and the beach. We spent our week on the Grand Side (family side). Less people and social distancing was observed on that side. It's our 2nd time at that resort and not disappointed with the cleanliness and the maintenance of the grounds. Riu Montego Bay: Riu Montego Bay

The entertainment/entertainers were awesome. This is definitely a busy, activity filled, louder, party hotel. The rooms are great, they’ve been updated- the pictures do not make them justice. The food is good. It’s not the best I’ve ever had but in terms of resort food, it is good. The service is incredible. Some of the best I’ve had. Several pool options, I would’ve given pools alone a 5 star. Waterpark is amazing. The beach is underwhelming. It’s quite small and the view is obstruc [... read more]ted by the Sandals resort and rocks. The hotel is less than 15 min from the airport. COVID restrictions in effect. Clean, safe, fun! Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Incredible beach

We spent 2 weeks at the Riu Palace Tropical Bay during Christmas and loved the resort. The staff were attentive and very friendly, it was a pleasure getting to know some of them. The pool area, restaurants and all the common areas were very clean. The food was also excellent. I can't wait to go back and would recommend the resort to anyone looking for a quieter family resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: BEST RESORT! TripCentral is TERRIBLE!

Hotel and services from the Bahia Staff was unmatched in quality! The only problems we EVER had were with TRIP CENTRAL BEING THE WORST! Highly recommend the hotel but DON’T book through trip central.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Worst hotel

I paid so much for this trip , but honestly wasn’t worth the hype . Management was all over the place nothing was correct or on time starting from our rooms, covid results and room service. Made at wait 3 hours long to check in , which everyone was so tired for the flight and hot . Called until old times for towels no one had brought up

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Terrible

This hotel was a huge disappointment. We have been to Jamaica many times and this place does not live up to Jamaican standards. The food was low grade and tasteless not to mention I got food poisoning on the 4th day. The beach and pool area is nice but they don’t clean the pools properly. My daughter got pink eye and an ear infection from the kiddie pool. The Diamond club is a joke and really means nothing. Not worth the price at all. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Second Visit and still Amazing

There is a major reasons why we came back to this hotel. They have an amazing team working there. The entertainment team Trudy, Alex , Michael and Lady T. Such a wonder bunch of people chosen to keep us entertained daily. Kobe, our butler who went behind the call of duty to meet all of our needs. Carmen our housekeeper was wonderful and pleasant.
