Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great resort!

We stayed April 19-April 26 when we first got off the bus it was a very warm welcoming from playing music/dancing was greeted with a drink, the hotel general manager introduced himself and welcomed us. check in was smooth and our luggage was brought up to us by a bell boy. We got exactly what we were suppose to for our superior room. The rooms are older but who cares we don't come for the looks of the hotel room. Entertainment staff were phenomenal and definitely made our week fun for us. The grounds are well kept by the gardeners, and they work very hard. Despite the shortages of certain things and all the house flies (they were terrible when there was food near by). Pools were very clean and nice to cool off in. This was our first time to cayo coco and it definitely won't be our last. We enjoyed the week of relaxation, sunshine and good times. See you next time.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: ??

Positives: Close to the airport. Very clean. Rooms spacious and beautiful. Medico on premises. Hardly any smokers. Negative: kafkaesque numbering of levels and rooms- wait for a busboy to get there. Do not rely on elevators and your reasoning. Do not rely on info from Reception- either non existent or wrong. No wine- only in menu restaurant. No cheese and butter 8 days of ten. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great Vacations

The hotel itself is good enough, we were told in advance about the food quality being not great and it was exactly it. Id you travel ensure you bring in some snacks, insect repellent, after-bite and of course a lot of sunscreen. People and staff were great, and I think they take the experience to another level. They are always keen to make you feel comfortable, and ensuring you are having a great time. Bedroom was good and clean. I think the only problem we had was with one visitor family that had superiority thinking, and even there hotel staff was able to manage. Tip: Cuban people are just amazing and in this hotel in particular they appreciate you coming and of course sharing a tip. Although it is not mandarory and you shouldn’t feel pushed. I totally recommend this hotel for kids and family. There were daily activities, night shows and performances. And at least our kids had a great time.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great Time

As we expected in Cuba food was not great, but they did their best to create some good foods. They ran out of certain food like fries, hamburgers, hot dogs and toilet paper at times....the lines for pasta and grills were long at times, unless you went to buffet after 8:00pm. We managed to get enough just not the finest food. The bars were pretty good although they didn't have Pina colada's & specialty drinks at times. The cappuccino were very good! The beach was the best, beautiful white sand, lots of chairs, shade and not a lot of waves so that you could go in the water which was so very nice and warm. For that alone I would go back there if the price was good. PS.....Bring ketchup, condiments, salt, pepper and hot sauce if you like.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: A week in paradise!!!!

My son and I took our first trip south to celebrate my big 5-O and my son's grade 12 a bit early. We had always heard that Cuba was affordable, super safe, with the most friendly people on earth. Well, we were not disappointed. Words cannot express how AMAZING our trip to Starfish Cayo Guillermo was!!! To be honest, it was like stepping into heaven! The beach was beyond incredible! In fact, the executive chef, Efendi [... read more], upon finding about our celebrations, organized a special dinner for just my son and at the a-la- carte Italian restaurant. He truly went above and beyond to create this beautiful and delicious gourmet meal! We shall never forget his kindness!! Our maid, Marelis did an outanding job at keeping our room clean, well stocked, and the creative touches were appreciated. The servers were all so lovely too and attended to our every need. The entertainment manager, Nildrey help organize top talent and entertainment that was on par with what you'd expect at Las Vegas. The gardeners, Alberto and Julio also ensured I had a fresh flower to enjoy every day and did a fabulous job at maintaining the grounds!!! This unforgettable experience will be forever cherished in our scrapbook of memories. I have no idea why anyone would dare write a negative review. If so, SHAME ON YOU!!! Maybe you need a reminder that you're in a 3rd world country!! You also fail to appreciate that these dear people are doing their very best with what they have. Many work beyond 12 hours and still have to travel 2 or more hours each way to get home, only to do it all over again!! Yet they never complain and do their utmost to give us the best service ever. the resort was the best the beach was beautiful the food was lol cuban style but we knew this i did see alot of shortages on certain things like no butter the whole week milk was hit and miss no jam or anything for toast but you didnt go hungy lol and the first four days were fly free then it was unbareable those bugs chewwed me alive and that was with spray i felt bad for the workers they were beating themselves like crazy lol and the distance from the airport to resort was a long drive not  [... read more]much to do but walk the beach and soak up the sun which was good for me lol wouldnt go back to that resort just becauce of the long drive to the resort and the bugs but it was a good trip

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Amazing resort

Just got back from a week at this resort !! It was fantastic. The beach was amazing ,our room was beautiful!! The food was a bit hit and miss , nobody went hungry, The lobby was great with some entertainment, the whole week was sunny , can’t ask for anything better than that ! Thanks for the lovely week in the sun !!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Awesome Experience

The beach is absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly and genuine. The facilities were well laid out and the accommodations exceeded expectations. We spent very little time in the pool but it was very nice.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Stay away!!!

The hotel was great till we seen cockroaches everywhere in the buffet. There was so many cockroaches and even had them on the bread. If we didn’t see any of the cockroaches,The food was actually really good at this resort. One of the best hotels in Cuba that I have stayed at that the food was actually good. But even though the food was good the cockroaches killed the vibe for us wanting to ever return to the Grand Muthu. All the bathrooms near the pool were always flooded. I’m sure peo [... read more]ple are using the pool to urinate because the bathrooms were disgusting. There was no bathroom near the beach it was out of order. So, besides, the roaches and the bathroom situation the resort overall was OK, but I would never go back because of the roaches!!!

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Fantastic

The resort was fantastic. The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean. The beach is fascinating and the overall layout is great. The food needs more variety witch is the only downside for this resort. The entertainment was great .

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Great Resort

There were no food shortages. Room was clean, pool was clean. Beach was amazing. Bottled Water available at all times. Lots of choices in buffet. It was the same as before Covid. I would go back.

this resort was very new and extremely clean throughout. The rooms were clean, roomy and also well stocked with water, toilet paper and towels. it had an ironing board, iron , umbrella and a weigh scale.The only thing missing was a coffee maker which could have been useful.The mini fridge was restocked daily with water. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and the cleaning maid was efficient and thorough. The public washrooms were always stocked with toilet paper and again amazingly clean. The buffet was average cuban food, better than expected as per previous reviews with most commodities on hand. No shortages of coffee, milk,bread, eggs, bacon etc. and the waiting staff was friendly and efficient replenishing your drinks and/or removing plates etc. The 24 hour snack bar had ample drinks, burgers, hot dogs, spagetti and chips when ordered. The staff did not bother us to change canadian coins and only did so when approached by us . We used only US dollar bills and exchanged them for larger denominations at end of or trip. The shortages people are talking about such as milk, bread ,mix were only temporarily and restocked later in the day or next day. In fact you could be missing a mix at one bar yet the next bar will have it. The weather was great, sunrise was beautiful, beach was spectacular with lots of loungers and shade. The best beach i have seen elsewhere. In closing, this resort is new, spacious but not large and extremely clean. i i

Gran Muthu Rainbow Cayo Guillermo: Very clean and beautiful resort!

Very disappointed that only 2 of the 4 restaurants were open each night. We didn't get all the reservations allowed. The lady responsible to make restaurant reservations with is not the right person for the job....a long ways of being there for customer service. She manages to complicate the uncomplicated. She gives you a date and writes another one and then tries to accuse her co-worker of her mistake when confronted ! A lot of customers were not satisfied of her service and decided to deal onl [... read more]y with the guy (her co worker) who is very good for the job because he has the customer at heart. We couldn't get reservations but some nights the restaurant was half full and sometimes even less. Unacceptable! ALL the other staff were very pleasant and hard workers.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Give it some time before you go!

Beach is 5 star. There are many shortages. One bottle of water per room every 2 days. Toilet paper shortage. Food shortage. Could be amazing but Cuba needs time to recover from hurricanes and pandemic

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Amazing hotel great beach.

The hotel is modern and beautiful. The hotel staff is pleasant and kind. The beach is great for both swimming and walking. The architecture of the resort is simple and modern. The weather was beautiful, although it rained in the evening. Our room was very well kept and beautiful. The food was getting better every day. The bartenders (Israel, Nelson and Jose M) were excellent and help full. We will be happy to return to this hotel next time.

Tryp Cayo Coco: AMAZING BEACH AND STAFF!

The staff are great, welcoming, respectful, treat you like a family. The beach is the best for sure. Food is great, I can't complain. There is a buffet and a la carte. The show every night is fantastic! The dancers are really skillful. Young coconut is not in the menu but the staff are nice staff to get some for me- happy dance for me!

The reason I chose Cuba was for the beach. I have been to cayo coco and loved the beach so much. Not this beach sadly. The shore is short, It's not a wide long beach and not suitable for long walks. Just a bit away from the hotel, the shore was full of garbage. Beach chairs were not enough. People were fighting over chairs. Beach chairs were not comfortable one-piece chairs but rather old types with 2 separations. No fish, no sea shells. Just not the great beach I expected. Foods were bad as exp [... read more]ected. I was aware of that. I didn't gobcuba to enjoy meals. Every meal was more or less the same at the buffet. No butter, no cheese, no yogurt, no beef, no chicken, only cured pork like winners and ham they call it beef patties but it was clearly not. Not the one you expect to see in burgers we know of. Being your own foods! Don’t choose this hotel if the beach is your priority. Also 1.5H drive from the airport. Not worth it.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Oh NO!!!!

Great beach, food was good, resort has a ton of potential, but needs a lot of work... we had a water leak in our 1st room, and ended up in a wooden bungalow (ocean view)... but there was a rain storm through the week, and it rained in our room at least a dozen leaks, and we weren't the only ones, so we could not change rooms again. They need to do some serious on the building maintenance!!!! Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Grand Muthu

The hotel was quite good for Cuba. The grounds were well keep and the hotel rooms were clean. The only thing that wasn’t good was that you couldn’t get clean towels. The food was pretty good since they have a lot of supply issues. There was a lot of drinks that they couldn’t make. But all in all it was good. The beach is amazing.

Sol Cayo Coco: Excellent service

We had a great time with our young family. The resort is dated, but other than that it is a wonderful place to stay. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay special. Food is good and the kids club was wonderful! Will definitely be returning.
