Riu Flamingos: Not a fan
I’m sure we got the poorest room, but I expected that. It was a long walk to the only set of elevators in the entire building. The food was anywhere from great( only one night and one restaurant) to terrible ( most nights in all the rest of the restaurants ). The only drinks served in all restaurants was beer or wine! No mixed drinks or after dinner Spanish coffee in any of them! Service in all restaurants was almost nonexistent. There is not nearly enough staff and it took the entire meal t [... read more]
Riu Santa Fe: Fantastic experience
This resort was amazing! The staff was accommodating and kind. Everything was clean and well looked after. The drinks and food were incredible and lots of variety on both. The pools were a little cold but manageable with the warm weather, the beach was clean and the resort offered lots of beach beds and umbrellas. The mini games like darts and volleyball were so fun and such a nice touch to have such activities included. Overall best hotel I've ever been to and will definitely be coming back.
Riu Flamingos: Perfect family resort
Our family group included 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 3 children aged 14, 10 and 3. The family stayed in a family room while the grandparents had a regular bedroom with 2 queen beds joined together. Older adults enjoyed the beach loungers under the swaying palms, visiting the sister resort and the many restaurants with no reservations required. In short, more enjoying, less waiting in line. The exception was the Steakhouse restaurant which was our favourite due to the beachside location. The [... read more]
Riu Palace Las Americas: Meh
It was okay, but we didn’t love it. The good: clean, no bugs, good beach (no seaweed), responsive front desk, nice balcony and view, spacious room, good Wi-Fi. The bad: THE SMELL in the rooms - mildew. Still in our clothes. So gross. The food - so bad. I dreaded going to eat, and I’m not normally that fussy about food. My sister got sick from the shrimp. Service was spotty, entertainment seemed unorganized, and the language barrier with even the front line service staff was at times problema [... read more]
Riu Santa Fe: Family and Friends Trip to Riu Santa Fe
We had a great week at the Riu Santa Fe in Los Cabos. This is a big resort with lots of amenities. Rooms and grounds were clean and attractive. Staff were friendly and helpful. The drinks were very good and the food was good but lacking Mexican Authenticity. We enjoyed the buffet the most and found the restaurants to be nothing special. The resort was busy but not overwhelming. The beach is long but it’s not safe to swim in the ocean. The view of the ocean, arch and ships/yachts was beautiful. [... read more]
Riu Santa Fe: Great resort
Everything went smooth, we had a really fun time. Lots of things to do. And the staff were great. Food and drinks were good. There is a lot of partying going on but they do offer other activities for the non partiers
Riu Reggae: Amazing Resort
Overall experience 10/10. It is a smaller resort of the three Riu. However, staff is exceptional and friendly. Food was sometimes too salty but still overall really good, great selections and awesome drinks. Definitely would return again!
Riu Santa Fe: Gorgeous
We just stayed at Riu Santa Fe this past week (Jan1-9) and we absolutely loved it. Water, activities, parties, everything one can look for. We are more on the chill side and we still attended three of Riu parties. They have parties on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat. The food was amazing, staff was great, the room was clean, spațios and beautiful and what seemed to be newly renovated. Only downside (not for us in particular) but good to mention was the Steakhouse restaurant. We were not able to get in at [... read more]
Riu Flamingos: Nice resort.
We Do Know Riu Jalisco, we were few times and will come again. Nice surroundings, with many Trees close to beach. Good service close to beach, and very nice people. Restaurants always clean and service is awesome. For Christmas was outstanding ! Really wow - breathtaking food and decorating. It was very welcoming and warm. Rooms very clean and drinks always filled up. Thank You For Your Kindness. Best Regards Richard and Yola
Riu Palace Antillas: Aruba is a Dream!
Hotel Riu Palace Antillas is a great hotel. Pro's: amazing beach, good food(although repetitive), friendly people, fun casino, clean. Con's: facecloths & toiletries are not replenished unless you call the front desk, you have to line up for a beeper to dine at the restaurants (I would prefer to make reservations), entertainment is lacking. Biggest con of all: the bed is very hard... did not sleep well the entire trip as I prefer a softer bed. We had so much fun playing cornhole with Mona by the [... read more]
Riu Playa Blanca: Way below our expectations
the food and service were awful. We have been to so many Riu resorts around and this one was very bad in food quality and options. the service was bad too. i say the rating for this resort should be 3.5 to 4 Max. This is not a 5 star resort.
Riu Latino: Terrible manager
We are actualy stick in Mexico nexause of Sunwing. We visited the Riu Latino. Got there a day late. Sunwing reported our plane and the manager kicked us out telling us that Sunwing wasn't rebooking for us. No Sunwing representant helping rebook for us. The Riu cut the internet off on us and we couldnt book something else.We got threatened to leave or they would call the cops. We are good people and got treated like criminals. Us and the others on our flight. We are now paying hotels and food a [... read more]
Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Expectations exceeded!
Huge hotel, two very large pools and lots of seating areas. Service was excellent during our entire stay! Not a single complaint. Food at the buffets had a lot of variety, plenty to choose from, even for the pickiest of eaters! Tried 2 Ã la cartes and they were both great! Rooms were just as expected, clean, spacious, and large bathroom and stocked bar and fridge. Everything we could have wanted. Access to the neighbouring resorts was easy, kids enjoyed the water slides at the Santa Fe, just a [... read more]
Riu Palace Aruba: Amazing resort!
Where do I begin? Such a beautiful resort with amazing friendly staff. I have never met more accommodating people. Our Sunwing rep took care of us when we needed him the most. We met one particular bartender, Nelson, who will be a friend for life. The resort is very clean and looks just like you see on YouTube. We will definitely be going back!
Riu Palace Macao: Amazing resort!
This was our first time at an all inclusive resort and our first time in DR. 33F, 27F and 44M. It was myself, my boyfriend and my sister. This was so over the top amazing, the entertainment in particular, Gerston, Pedrito and others who's names escape me really made sure everyone had the opportunity to get up, dance, play and have fun. The wait staff were also so so nice and accommodating, shout out to Marcos! The food was great, no reservations needed. Things were always kept clean and available [... read more]
Riu Palace Antillas: Good Hotel
The rooms at the hotel have been updated and are very generous in size. The hotel is well maintained and offers a great selection of food choices and the coffee bar was an excellent stop for coffee, pastries and other various item including some delicious sandwiches. There was always some type of entertainment from the disco to the pool to the stage shows
Riu Guanacaste: Amazing and excellent country and resort, very good and relaxed people
Resort in very good shape, with good installations and good rooms, swimming pool is big and great, maybe need a few renovations, but it is not bad. Good service and good food and everybody speak English. Wonderful beaches and excursions.
Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Very good Resort!
Everything were great about the resort, very good, well maintained property, clean and spacious room, exceptional service, food was very good, Italian restaurant was delicious, and what is most important for us, beautiful beach, clean calm water. We really enjoyed our stay at this resort.
Riu Dunamar: Amazing resort
Resort is clean, food is great. Restaurants have wonderful service. Beach is beautiful, I would recommend this resort to other friends Room is completely spacious and serves are good. But I would not recommend Sunwing serves since my confirmed excursion messed up and we missed the excursion due to Sunwing booking system even though next day they recooked for us and we could make it.
