Melia Peninsula Varadero: Relaxing place
Overall the place was good. they did run out of toiler paper but other than that I had a relaxing time at this resort. staff was very friendly. lots of families. beach was very nice and clean. enjoyed the fun and drinks
Paradisus Los Cayos: Excellent week!
The Paradisus Los Cayos is a gem. The hotel, the grounds, the room, all was in excellent shape and maintained clean. Everyone was helpful, very polite and very friendly. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to the Royale Service with a swim up room. It gives you access to a private beach and what a beautiful beach. We walked the beach often, it is stunning. There were no algae or very little that was cleaned before you show up at the beach. The food was delicious although repetitive. The efforts mad [... read more]
Tryp Cayo Coco: Needs TLC
Staff were great and helpful with many speaking English. However, the resort is looking tired and they really need to fix the lower pond. The smell is overwhelming, and a mosquito breeding ground. They have started to fix the sidewalks along the East side of they complex, which is nice. The beach is amazing and crystal clear.
Melia Cayo Coco: The perfect winter getaway
As seniors, we look for destinations with a long, sandy beach and crystal clear water. The Melia Cayo Coco has both. There are lots of beach chairs and palapas, so that even though the resort appeared to be fully booked, there were always chairs available. The grounds are very well maintained, with a group of gardeners working diligently every day. Our accommodation was adequate and perfectly clean. Cleanliness seemed to be an important factor throughout the resort. While we read some c [... read more]
Melia Internacional: Amazing experience
The rooms are big and we got upgraded to a beach viewed room after we experienced with no hot water for shower for two days. We complained to the customer service. They apologized and upgrade us to better rooms afterwards. The food/restaurant choices were not a lot but it’s sufficient and tasty. The unlimited alcohol is great. The pool/beach are great. The sand are very smooth with great water activities. They need to provide customer with clear direction of the resort, maybe a bro [... read more]

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Excellent Smaller Resort
Melia is a smaller hotel which means less walking but with lots of amenities. Restaurants were excellent with lots of choices and great service. Beds were comfortable and maid service kept the rooms well stocked and clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Every time we return to Melia Cayo Santa Maria, it’s like coming home! We highly recommend this hotel!
Melia Las Dunas: Beautiful Resort
Beautiful beach area. Pool was nice with lots of lounge chairs at both pool and beach. Service was excellent. Food was very good. Rooms clean , beds comfortable. We had a wonderful time at this resort and look forward to returning. Would recommend resort
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Wonderful Experience!
We traveled to this resort Dec 9-Dec. 16 2022 and we can honestly say we sure did not go hungry or thirsty ! The beach is beautiful very spacious with lots of chairs . Didn't have to fight for a chair around the pool either. The staff are very kind, helpful and very accommodating. Yes there are many stairs to the beach however there is a ramp that you can use instead The entertainment Comitee really try hard to get everyone involved. It's very obvious that management is doing something righ [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Awesome
It was very clean including the beach, raked everyday and had a machine to pick up the weeds. The swimming pool could of been heated a bit. The food was great and the servers were good. The people at front desk were helpful with the wifi connection and fixed problems Staff took the time to make sure the washrooms were cleaned.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Beautiful, clean, relaxing
Well what can I say, the place was better than we expected. It's our second time there and it got even better this time. It's very clean, the staff are very attentive, the food is great and the rooms are nice. Jenn makes it a breeze to book through TripCentral and she also helps with all the paperwork and insurance etc. Highly recommend this combination.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Varadero
beautiful beach and resort, too bad they do not know how to run run it properly, efficiently. The food selection, quality and service in the buffet was very poor every day. I would rate it max 2 star Many popular, famous drinks were not available the whole week.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: terible experience
The hotel should not be rated a 5 but a 3 at the most. The food was terrible and the same each lunch and supper. I didn't have a good drink or coffee the whole week. The hotel did nothing to protect us from covid' there wasn't even hand sanitizer to be seen. The buffet was totally self-serve and numerous times I saw people handle bread and then return it to the basket to be served, I once observed a customer tasting a fruit drink in a bottle and then return it to be served. We got to our hotel o [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Excellent
We spent 11 nights at MCC and were delighted with our choice. Everybody was friendly and helpful. The resort was well-looked after, clean and tidy. The food was plentiful but not a huge variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. We had the best bacon everyday, which I put in the cucumber and mayo sandwiches for a delicious breakfast. The beach is lovely, and what little seaweed there was, was dealt with promptly. We will be back in 2023!
Melia Las Dunas: Amazing beach Great for people who enjoy long walks
The resort was great Good food amazing staff The resort was at half capacity which actually worked well for people to space themselves. Always felt safe There were very few people who wore masks . We definitely would go back again
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Relaxing experience
We enjoyed our stay. The beach was great. I booked the trip online but then called to check for some clarification Carol at EXT 7259 was soo helpful. Her advice about what to bring along made a huge difference to our stay and experience.
Melia Las Americas: Loved every minute!
The level bungalow and all amenities were amazing. The beach and seating are spectacular. The meals were wonderful and drinks a plenty. Had a great excursion in a classic car to Havana. Loved the Beatles bar in Varadero. Meals in town were limited. Loved the entertainment at the resort in the evenings. Cannot wait to return.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: It was a nice resort
I found this place nice and the staff were friendly. The room was not in great shape and needed some repairs. The towels were not changed for five days. Some plugs did not work. The other areas were nice.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful beaches
My husband and I just stayed a week at this hotel, Overall we were happy with everything and had a great time. The staff are great at this resort ! The food was typical Cuban resort food. They do have a lunch time pizza restaurant that is so so so good ! The beach is beautiful but lots of shells, if you walk down a little to the resort next door it’s beautiful soft sand to get in and out of the ocean. We switched our Canadian $ to Cuban currency and we found this wasn’t the best idea. Th [... read more]
Sol Palmeras: Amazing Resort, awesome staff
Fantastic Holiday, no complaints about food, staff or accommodation. Cuba is experiencing food shortages like everywhere else, but they still maintained an excellent selection and the food was great for Cuba. One very important note, the Cuban pesos are completely devalued and are no good to Cuban's. They offer good deals to exchange your money for their pesos, but you can't actually spend them anywhere. Bring cash and don't exchange it! We ran out of cash and I was going to withdraw some from a [... read more]
