Playa Pesquero: Sun, sand & snorkeling

The hotel was adequate but had a broken faucet that was promptly attended to, but not repaired. I attribute this to a lack of materials, and the staff did all they could do. This was evident in other supplies, most notably the food, which was proudly served but low on quality and variety. The staff were very patient and friendly despite incredible rudeness from many of the guests. Don Lino Hotel: Nice place, won't hurry back.

This was my 8th stay at Don Lino and the buffet is worse every time I go. Cuba was running low on beer everywhere and it was impossible to get gas for the scooter I rented. This might all be due to the US embargo, but either way I will not be returning to Cuba for a while. My tourist dollars are too valuable to waste.

Playa Costa Verde: Another amazing vacation at Playa Costa Verde

Hotel is very clean & well maintained. Some upgrades are required but they seem to be trying. Food is good, a la carte restaurants are amazing. Have been there 14 times & still love it. Staff is amazing. Looking forward to returning next year 😊.

Brisas Covarrubias: Friendly resort!

This is my second time at this resort, this time we brought our kids along for the ride. It is a long 2 hour bus drive from the airport, as adults we didn't mind the ride as it gives you a good scenic view of Cuba. Our last visit was 3 years ago and the resort seemed to have a little more entertainment my first time around. We paid for 2 ocean view rooms and were first placed on a bottom floor room. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, if you are a returning guest they love to see familiar faces. The mosquitos and noseeums after dusk were horrendous, so unfortunately we did come home with some unwanted bites on us. You could not ask for a nicer beach! We spent most mornings and afternoons here. They have a beach bar where they serve burgers and fries which was awesome for our teenagers! The pool was mostly good except for our last day, it was cloudy and needing a good cleaning. We were pleased with the buffet on most nights as well. Overall, we enjoyed our visit at this small family friendly resort and will definitely return.

Brisas Covarrubias: Great resort!!

The resort is small and family oriented. Friendly staff. Paid for ocean view room and was put on bottom floor, so could have been better room. The beach was superb, however the bugs after dusk were awful. Food and drinks were plentiful. Bus ride from airport is long but you get to see a little bit of Cuba along the way. My third time visiting this resort, would definitely go here again.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Awesome vacation in Holgiin

Club amigo in my opinion is a fantastic place, always something to do and see, beautiful grounds and beautiful people. This is my 12th time in Club Amigo.,It's my Home away from home. You can't beat the weather,was 30-31 everyday and very little rain.

Everything was great. I had been to this resort before and it was a very pleasant surprise to find a dinner invitation under my door for returning guests. It was also my birthday and I was treated like a king.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Best Vacation Value!

We have just returned from Memories Holguín for the 7th year in a row. We have travelled a lot, annually for at least 25 years, and have found this resort to be very clean, and the staff are amazing... we have made many friends there, including Lazaro, Roberto, Amauris, Freddy, Maury, Orlan, and Luis. The food has always been just fine, and the resort is a nice quiet place to get away... especially now that it is adults-only.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Excellent Service and Wonderful People

The grounds were enormous and nicely landscaped.The buildings are old however kept clean.The service was amazing, everyone was so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The food at the buffet was" just ok" however the Ala Carte Restaurants were very good. I will certainley go back again.

Playa Pesquero: Playa Presquero

The resort was beautiful the cleanest resort we've ever been to and the people are just beyond pleasant and the food was good . Yes we will be returning back to that resort at some point . The entertainment was good but is always way too loud . The beach was clean and beautiful .

Iberostar Coral Holguin: No kids and pretty well behaved adults

The upscale end is very nice, it’s quite and no line ups for food which was nice for breakfast and lunch. Food is very repetitive certain things bananas tomatoes, weren’t to be found. And breakfast juices , didn’t have any. The specialty restaurants were very elegant and professional with plenty of staff, but other than the lobster, the food was just adequate. The Chinese open flame cooking was odd. They came out and served you chicken and beefs squares and a sparse salad. The food was probably the best here as there was shrimp beef and chicken and more ,freshly cooked in front of you. Rooms were FANTASTIC. we had a corner unit sweet, towels were always super clean , and fresh daily as well as bed turndown service all fridge waters and beer and pop were replenished daily. Hour bus ride, they have little golf carts that ar constantly driving around so if u don’t feel like walking just flag on down. Overall very nice presentation as well as grounds and pool and upgraded wooden chairs. Were all top notch, the food needs to be worked on. I no it’s cuba and I’ve been 20 plus times over 38;years, I have had better steaks and salads on some of the other islands.

Don Lino Hotel: Perfect place to relax

Hotel was clean,friendly staff. Food was not good been to cuba 10 times this was the worst food. But if your looking to just relax this is the place. No taxis to go anywhere no wifi and no excursions. So if laying on the beach escaping the world is what your looking for this is your place.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Good Resort

It is an aging Resort with very good food for Cuba and great staff. We stayed at an ocean view junior suite with a good view of ocean through some trees. Beach is good after you pass the rocky front and it is great for snorkelling. When busy time the repeaters got better treatment. Make sure when booking your Japanese restaurant to ask for the table show.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Amazing resort for its age

Rooms are dated but the food the pools the beach and the staff make up for that. Great snorkeling clean calm beach Rooms are dated but clean Only one English Channel on the tv It’s a great place to go and relax

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Really good hotel.

There is room for improvement the villas and motel are great need of an update, the main buffet dinning can be improved greatly, the grounds were very unkept but they were working on it when I was leaving. The games were very old and worn out, the gym was good. I recommend the al a cart restaurants. The smaller buffet I found were much nicer. Need for more games on the beach area. There were several barbecue pits but none were used in the nine days I was there. I would like to see a better descr [... read more]iption of all that is offered at the hotel, I found a third buffet on my last day, had I known about I would have tried it out several times.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Memories Feb3-9

We had an amazing time. The grounds were so lush. Lots of areas to sit around the resort, the pool and chairs always available at the beach. The beach was amazing and had great snorkelling. Lobby was a great atmosphere at night especially the piano. Rooms very clean and bar always stocked with water. Food was good. Everyone was friendly on the resort.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Another great week at Paradisus!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tenth stay at this beautiful resort. We were upgraded to a room with an outdoor shower which is so enjoyable. Although this resort is a little gem, we have definitely noticed the rooms are in need of upgrading. As well, the lighting around the pathways at night was poor. Many of the boxes had burnt out bulbs. The pathway to our room was black and we had to use our phones in order to see. We reported this to the desk but nothing was done. Paradisus Rio De Oro: 5 Star Hotel for Cuba

This hotel was very good in all aspects. Hotel, rooms, pool and grounds were spotless. Beach was lovely other than one windy day blew a lot of seaweed in and I don't believe it was cleaned up right away. Food was good, not comparable to a 5 Star in other countries but they did their best to provide what they could. We had prime rib, roasted pig, pasta station, salads, desserts, etc. Four al a cartes were offered, two which we did not really enjoy and the other 2 were great. Only thing miss [... read more]ing was fresh fruit, which I was told was due to them losing their citrus crops. People were extremely pleasant and the entertainment was great. Our rooms while being a bit dated were large and nicely appointed. The bathrooms have been updated. It is out of the way so there isn't much to do but if you want to relax and enjoy yourself this is the place to go. Fortunately we had beautiful weather. The outdoor restaurants were good. One was open 24 hrs. We would recommend this resort to a friend. However, the cost of our trip seemed to be a bit high although it was for 10 days.
