Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Perfect Holiday

As always the Bahia Príncipe stay was perfect. Wonderful beach and great food and the best part no Mosquitos! The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. My favorite resort. Thanks to Alfie D’Uva our wonderful trip entail agent. Will be back next year.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Returned for the 3rd time

Grounds: lush and well groomed. Rooms: very spacious,large balconies. Dining: exceptional. Service: very responsive to any issues and no language issues,pleasant employees. Beach: nice long beach for swims and walks.

El Cano Acapulco: Good value for the money.

The hotel is definitely older, but very clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Unlike other parts of Mexico virtually none of them spoke English, but were patient with us as we tried to communicate in broken Spanish. The airport was something else. No on spoke English and there is no computerized system for boarding passes. The agents literally walked around the very small airport calling out names for travellers who where not in the boarding area. We had a number [... read more] of seniors that required wheelchair service, this took them across the tarmac but they still had to get themselves up the stairs of the plane. We love Acapulco and will definitely go back, you can't beat the weather.

Riu Emerald Bay: Lovely place

Nice friendly staff. Great food. Helpful people. Activities were fun. We did water aerobics, stretching, bouncy ball exercise, beach volleyball. Waiters were fast and friendly. Food presentation was beautiful. We liked playing cards in the large foyer.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Wonder resort

This resort is wonderful all staff helpful rooms clean the grounds and landscape was breathtaking ,every day the food was so tasty The only real disappointment this year as I have been to this same resort 6 times is the the beach bar and a pool bar being closed down .My favorite place is to sit on the beach hearing the sounds of the ocean seeing the waves ,and to have a quick walk to the beach bar for a drink the men would go up chat with others it was great .so off we go to our spot .there was [... read more] no signs nothing posted saying it was closed the hut was there the tapes, but no bartender.so we all pack up and head to the cute pool by our rooms nope that was also closed,by the time we hearded ourselves around the resort trying get a open bar every spot was taken in an area that had both a open bar and pool,so off we go two the farthest place you can go trying to drag and chairs .This closer of these bars it is a shame we played to stay in the higher end area and not have the lurks now puts this resort from a 4 to maybe a 3

Grand Sunset Princess: Fabulous Vacation at Grand Sunset Princess, Maya Riviera

Everything, from the front lobby, check-in, checkout, lobby bar, buffets, a-la-carte dining, suites, pools, beach and staff, Everything was awesome. We will be coming back! Friendly, considerate and well spoken employees.

Vamar Vallarta: Location location

Beautiful grounds, excellent service. Centrally located near the marina but a short stroll to the malacon, shopping and great restaurants. We did not eat much at the hotel but explored the nearby areas.

Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: not the best

We were looking forward to this vacation but were very disappointed in the food. Spoke to the manager and was told to go to the steak house but we had to pay? We enjoy the ocean but unfortunately it was too rough to go in but the beach was too rocky for us to enjoy our walks. Would not recommend this hotel

El Cozumeleno Beach: Terrible Resort very poor standardsl

The food was very bad and of poor quality. No fresh fruit such as apples, bananas offered. Margarine had a vanilla flavor, obviously made local and of poor quality no butter. Food at snack bar, not replenished, and stall unattended had to find waiter to order from the kitchen. Meat offered consisted mainly of chicken, pork and little roast beef or steak OR COLD CUTS offered. The dishes, and cutlery appeared to be poorly washed and dirty, cheap paper napkins in buffet. The buffet area had mos [... read more]tly men waiters, who doubled as cleaners, but observing them clean they were the pits, The staff were more concerned about filling drinks, so they could get tips from drunken vacationers. I used self serv pop and juice stand near swimming pool and pressed juice and large bug spilled out into my cup .The drinking cups were made of plastic and since dishes looked poorly washed. how clean were these cups. I don't think the kitchen staff used javex to kill the germs. The swimming pool and hot tub were dirty, even thou I saw staff clean pool with a vacuum in the mornings. The swimming pool and hot tub which was cold needed to be shocked with chemicals to remove the bacteria from so many people swimming and peeing in the pool. Also the towels and sheets needed to be washed better, perhaps add bleach to clean them better. Little entertainment offered. My overall impression of the hotel is that they cut corners to save money and the staff working there are local poor people, who most likely live in very squalored conditions who don't have the same standard of cleanness as most Western countries. Also these men working there worked very hard to refill drink glasses to get their tips. I suspect, they must have big families to support and these resort jobs are plumb jobs to have . I will never return, this resort is a 2 rating.j

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: LOVED IT!

This was our fourth time going to Iberostar Mexico. The first three times we stayed in Parisio Beach and this last time in the Del Mar. Both are wonderful. They are both clean, well maintained and offer great services and terrific food. I prefer the Parisio Beach as it just seems brighter and the paths outside seem brighter, however both the Parisio Beach and the Del Mar are wonderful vacation bookings. The Iberostar staff was a little pushy on their "Club" breakfast and presentation but ea [... read more]ch time we just declined and they went away. But having said that we would give the Iberostar Mexico a 10 out of 10!!!. Travel tip: be careful of the false shuttle guys at the airport who try and trap tourists into private shuttle companies. If you have already paid and have a voucher for a shuttle, make sure they show you your name on their list before you give them yours!

Las Brisas Huatulco: Excellent Tongolunda Bay Resort

We really enjoyed our two weeks at Las Brisas. The highlight for us was the protected beach with the excellent snorkeling just yards from the shore and the excellent January weather. The 5 alacarte dinner restaurants and two breakfast and lunch buffets provided a variety of food choices and the service staff were excellent. The customer service staff throughout the resort were friendly and well trained. Our room was dated but very clean. The bar fridge was stocked with water, beer cok [... read more]e and pepsi. Our king sized bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was very good. Brighter lighting in the bathroom is recommended but the shower,sink, and mirrors and size are excellent. We were surprised that our deluxe room did not have a balcony to enjoy our partial water view. The resort was built on a steep slope. Walking up the numerous steps was a challenge but the shuttles are numerous and they will take you throughout this very large resort. We felt safe here as the property is gated and our room had a wall safe to protect our valuables. If you are looking for a hotel on Tangolunda Bay this one provides the best value.

Zel Cozumel: 6th year at The MELIA Cozumel

We have made the Melia Cozumel our January getaway for the past 6 years for numerous reasons. We always stay in the 'tower' rooms (floors 4 to 12 have a great view of the water and the cruise ships going by in the distance). I find that the non-tower rooms to be a bit dated, but certainly very family friendly (close to family pool, activities, et cetera). The tower rooms are spacious and clean - excellent balcony settings; with a tiny, stocked fridge, and a coffee pot. (We have never had the r [... read more]ooms with a kitchenette / microwave, et cetera). The only concern is the lack of storage space for clothing when staying more than one week (I wish that they would bring back the dresser with drawers). Staff are A+ - although we do not utilize the children/adults games the staff are enthusiastic and keen to assist. All bar, wait, room staff are eager to please and readily greet all guests with a smile. They also remember their regulars too! (I wish more people would think to leave a tip for meal and bar service, room cleaning .... just my upbringing I guess.) Be sure to book a courtesy room (30 minutes) if you have a late departure - out of your room by noon but you can still use all amenities = a shower and change of clothes before you depart is welcome. Each year we see regular upgrades occuring to keep the Melia 'fresh' (this January we noted: new lobby furniture, many new mattresses and beds arriving in the tower, fresh painting / staining of wood buildings and doors, refurbished lower levels, et cetera) We are not really 'foodies' so I would rate the food a B+ for variety and lots of it! Each day is a different food theme, but basics always available for children and picky eaters. Breakfasts are great - lots of choices and speciality items made for you. We are not impressed with the three 'special bookings' restaurants - I have sent management an email about the set-up and delivery. We just really like the option of choosing our own food (buffet) at our own pace - who wants a schedule when on holiday? As mentioned, management welcomes input from guests and I am pleased to see that my input has resulted in a few changes that we've seen over the years at the Melia. Basically, we are a couple in our late 50s who enjoy a low key, relaxed getaway. One last point - the Melia is only a 10-15 minute drive to the airport (shuttle or a taxi for $12USD), so none of the lengthy rides after/before your flight.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Great time

We had a great time for 2 weeks at Las Brisas. Hotel was great, service good, pools and beaches were great. It seems big but nicely spread out and easy to get around. Staff was friendly. Lots to do. Nice to have private beaches and always lots of loungers.

Zel Cozumel: Excellent resort!!!

The hotel staff is the best part along with an amazing beach (best on the island)! The restaurants are good and the rooms are very clean. Great value for the price. We have just got back after two weeks and this was our 4th time at this resort. Would highly recommend.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico: Visually stunning resort!

Have been to several resorts in the area, this one is the most beautiful with the nicest rooms. I generally look for smaller resorts but am so pleased that I chose this one. The included parks were why I went here- an opportunity to go to more parks and excursions then you will have time to do in a week at no extra cost. But the resort was beyond expectations on its own. All the staff I encountered were friendly and went out of their way to answer questions.

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Sunset Plaza is Very Great

Service was Excellent. Food was outstanding. Love the idea that it's a smaller resort and that we were not bothered by people "partying" it up etc. Very clean resort. the staff are so very professional and friendly. I can't think of one thing that we did not like.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Amazing resorte

This hotel was very clean, always people cleaning! The beaches were great! Food excellent and staff very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile in service! I have been to a five star resort and this resort was a six! Of course the weather cooperated! My son got married here and the wedding coordinator was supreme!

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Beautiful Resort

This was our fourth trip to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico and it was our favourite. The beach is beautiful and uncrowded, the rooms were gorgeous and the food was always good. The lobby bar is a great central meeting place. The snorkelling was fantastic.

Riu Dunamar: Relaxing Vacation

Great new hotel Riu Dunamar, Cancun for relaxing vacation. An excellant Ocean view room, food, service, swiming pools with bars for easy access to drinks. Each night entertainment, sea good for swiming, when is not windy, sandy beach for both direction long walking. Nice numerous palms to shadow the patrons.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Awesome Friendly Resort

The employees were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The grounds and the pools were kept in very good shape. The dining and meals were very good. The shows and activities were very entertaining. We had a wonderful experience.
