Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Flys

Sorry I was very dissatisfied with your place , the place had so many flys, it was bad enough but the constant spraying from the air plane above and the flys on the food turned me off and seeing the people spraying the tables was enough, the drinks what they did have were bad and half time no cups . I must say staff were great but for one guy calling me sweetly pie who was also rude to my sister . The staff at main bar and coffee bar did their best with supply’s they had which wasn’t much . Sorry I will not be returning .

Melia Cayo Coco: Melia Cayo Coco. Another wonderful stay

This was our second trip to Melia Cayo Coco this year. We had one of the best times out of the past 15 or more stays here. The service from all staff was excellent , everyone was very happy to help out with our requests. Thank you to Juan Carlos, Kennier, Yunismy,Haila and Gippsy. The food was delicious at the buffet and at the al la carts. Breakfast and lunches at the Ranchon (beach restaurant) very tasty with lobster on Cuban Day. The service from the wait staff, not only are they wonderful at the job, they also sing and dance.Thanks to the Leandro, Osmany, Yusmelkys and Yaneisy. There is live music daily at lunch at the Ranchon with the ever popular Sol de Rio and another band who’s escapes me. The buffet has a wide variety of choices of food for everyone at breakfast and dinner, we did not have lunch at the buffet. There are some shortages we noticed but they did not affect us, such as pasta and pork. The buffet is quite noisy earlier in the evening at prime time. The staff do a great job greeting guests and providing warm and friendly atmosphere. Special thanks to Beatrice and Vivian for breakfast service and to Omar and Celia for dinner service. The resort has a high number of repeat guests. On this trip met many friends from Canada and friends who have been able to travel from the UK. The animation staff do a great job of engaging those guests interested in participating in games at the beach with boche, volleyball, dance lessons and Spanish lessons. They also have a fun rum tasting event which is quite entertaining . A big shout out to Rene, Julio, Nosleny, Annie, Victor,Chino, Yaneisy,Lia and Jilena, thanks for the fun everyday! There is nightly entertainment in the lobby, always from the piano Elim and all the other performers. On the main stage there a fantastic dance company putting on terrific shows. There was also performances by a circus troop, a rock band and a Michael Jackson show. The grounds are in great condition and well maintained by a great group of gardeners Borges, Rolando, Felipe and the numerous others. The beautiful beach stretches for miles and you can sail, snorkel and fish. The classic room we stayed in was dated, especially the shower and tub. We know they are slowly working on renovations. We appreciated that the room was very well cleaned everyday. A big problem was the lack water pressure and temperature at peak times between 5 and 6 pm when everyone was preparing to go to dinner. This can be very frustrating. The staff were prompt to try rectify the problem. The biggest reason we choose to return to the Melia Cayo Coco is the peaceful vibe. No booming music at the beach which is absolutely amazing! Very chill music around the pool in the morning. Over the years we have developed many friendships with the staff and each time we are warmly welcomed. Their excellent service truly appreciated!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Iberstar Daquari

This hotel was an older, smaller resort, easy to get around, with an amazing beach and great entertainment. The rooms were dated, you could see where there had been leaks in the ceiling and walls. Cuba is still recovering from Covid, they would often run out of certain things like toilet paper in the main lobby bathrooms, drinks and food. The buffet was the same food all week at every meal and the a la Carte ( we could only get into one) was the same food as the buffet.

Melia Cayo Coco: Wonderful staff and beaches

Enjoyed our weeklong stay at Malia Cayo Coco. The staff was so welcoming and kind, and the beaches were amazing - easily the best part of the trip. Our first time in Cuba was amazing. We loved the lagoon view suites.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Good Resort

Everything about the hotel is fantastic Clean,great for everyone of all ages Beach is fantastic for walking, swimming,snorkeling Would recommend the glass bottom boat tour,amazing! Difficult at this time with food and alcohol supplies Difficult

Gran Muthu Imperial: Vacation!!

The hotel /resort was beautiful! Wonderfully appointed,spacious rooms with a large balcony. Absolutely loved the infinity pool! Service was amazing! I definitely will be a repeat customer. The weather was amazing and I loved my first trip to Cuba. Unfortunately,I didn’t do any excursions outside of the resort as my trip was all about relaxation!

Melia Jardines del Rey: Best Time Ever! Awesome Place to Visit

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms were clean, We were scheduled to be in one building, however, I asked to move due to health reasons, and they accommodated and moved me to a ground floor room close to the main lobby. Beach had a bit of erosion due to weather, but overall it was amazing and clean. There were plenty of options for food. However, due to COVID and the economy some of the items were hit and miss on days. For example, one day would be no bread, but the next would have it, [... read more] they would run out of milk, cola, wine, etc. However replaced the next day. We never had an issue with the shortages personally. They have downsized considerably on entertainment, it is not the same as it was pre COVID. It still is an amazing place to relax, by the pool, beach, shopping etc. We have stayed at this resort 6 times and continue to love the atmosphere, friendly staff. It was perfect for us! We can't wait to go back next year, or maybe the fall. Just remember to bring lots of sunscreen, and bug spray as the mosquitos are bad in April :)

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Great resort

This place was everything I except. With Cuba and supplies being short we did NOT go hungry or without booze. Plenty of toilet paper. There was nothing to complain about really. Go with an opened mind to Cuba and you won't be disappointed. Beach was amazing and the staff were pleasant.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: beautiful hotel

hotel was great. here are a few things we did not like no store to purchase anything always out of pop choices are coke or sprite no slushy drinks at pool bars no coffee maker in room beach had so many broken shells, hard to walk without shoes lots of elevators marked out of service its a brand new resort and they have things to iron out soon if they want people to come back we had to call every day for bottle of water in our that we had to share, hell l would have bought water if the [... read more]re was a store and a few other minor things but l know we are in a third world county, and Cuba is Cuba

Melia Cayo Coco: Very happy with resort

We would definitely return to this resort. Beach is absolutely beautiful. They do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. We stayed in a lagoon room which was very nice. Grounds are very well kept. Only complaint is the cats. On the bus to the resort we are told not to feed the cats or dogs because they are wild but people feed them so they are around the eating areas looking for food.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: We had a wonderful vacation!

We went last year for 2 weeks and did it again. If you are looking for an awesome beach with warm water with a beautiful blue color, easy to go in with sand under your feet this is the one! We loved having a few evening drinks and with Jordan working there it was lots of fun and we almost felt like family. Everybody is nice! Melia Jardines del Rey: Just OK

Just returned. Some staff were exceptional, some not so good. Front Desk and Swim Up Bar and Bell Boys were excellent. Other staff were lazy. Even if you tipped service was not great. Gounds are a mess. It's not the workers fault. There are not enough staff. After my 3 dozen trips to Cuba I will not return to this resort. Lots of food shortages. The vegetables that were not covered in sauce were cold. No butter all week. Food was not labelled. Many rocks on the beach for the first 6 fe [... read more]et when you get in the water. After that, lots of seaweed. Sometimes no beer, or no sprite or no coke or no wine. No pasta all week. Weather was great.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: The most Amazing Beach!

The resort and in particular the beach are beautiful! The staff are great, especially Alfonso at the beach, always happy and working so fast to help everyone in the heat. The wait staff at the a la carte restaurants (Italian, Tex Mex and Brazilian) went out of their way to be sure we had a great time (the Asian restaurant not so much). The resort is new and definitely still needs some tweaks. The night entertainment in particular is not great. I would not recommend the jeep safari excursion, and if you take the bus to the market go in the morning as most things are closed in the afternoon, probably due to the heat. All in all a great place that will only improve in time and with the additional resorts opening. Words can't even describe the beautiful beach! This resort is very nice the people who work there treat you great food was good beach was awesome the girls who cleaned my room keep it spotless liked the way the bungalows were set up nice and private

Melia Cayo Coco: Awesome stay

We traveled to Melia Cayo Coco March 24 for one week vacation and loved everything about it. Resort is not very big but beautiful, clean and very well kept. Staff was very friendly, did everything to make visitors welcomed and happy, always smiling. Food was amazing, beach was one of the best we ever seen. We had nothing to complain about. We planning to returning soon again. Thank you from bottom of our hearts for beautiful vacation.

Hotel Mojito: Very good

Not a bad resort for the money, nice beach, average pools, great staff, food was basic. Lost the power a few times but came back on in a minute or so. long walk to the beach, Mosquitoes around at night, take bug spray. Mojito is a 6 1/2 out of 10

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: NOT so amazing resort

The service and the hotel room are sub par 100!! Never stayed at a hotel in this state. See videos I included. Broken fridge, shower head handle not right and falling over. Dirty walls and ratty furniture. Terrible service. If they are not dispensing alcohol it's as if they do not understand what you are saying. Even after you too them and no matter how much the service does not improve. Chicken and fish do NOT expect anything else! Buffet restaurant had no air conditioning and food was  [... read more]full of flies. The diamond club buffet had air conditioning but the buffet was made up of four dishes and salad and charcuterie. Paid more for diamond club which included a stocked fridge daily.. ha!! Waiter service on beach. Hilarious!! No glasses available so they do not bring you anything. Want to drink bring your own glass, carafe, water bottle they will fill it. You will not find any to buy so sol if you do not bring them. Sad sad stay.

Hotel Mojito: Not bad

To start the check-in was good and the room was reasonable by Cuba standards. The first few days food was very slim. I do understand the resort was at low occupancy. As the week progressed the food got decent as more people were checked in. It was interesting to see the different workers would either favor Cubans or dismiss Cubans as customers. The biggest note to me was the store in the hotel, prices were twice as much as a tourist than they are as a Cuban. I also noticed that The storekeeper was accepting cash which in my understanding is not permitted in Cuba. If you're at any store in any hotel or outside always get an itemized invoice and it's better to pay with credit card. When this was brought up to customer service they said sorry and nothing was done. In other hotels that this has happened and I have told customer service they have done something. Overall I would not suggest this hotel

Melia Jardines del Rey: Amazing beach...BUT

We were told food/condiments/ toilet papers supplies are very limited at Cuba. But, my friends staying at Melia CAYO COCO the same week has no such issues at all. Our hotel (Melia Jardines Del Rey) supposed to provide one single-roll toilet paper and one 2-litre bottle drinking water daily per room (no matter how many people stays in one room). But they are not replenished on a timely/regular basis. Our room has been skipped daily supplies for at least 3 days. The worst day we had cal [... read more]led 4 times to their #700 Room service centre for help, but no action was taken by the hotel. We finally complained to their manager at Customer Service Centre to resolve one of the room service problems. Based on our experience of missing toilet paper and bottle water problem, we didn't even bother to raise the concern again for the other 2 days of missing supplies. Hygiene problem: The main buffet tables has a lot of flies hanging around. I noticed that the table mats are not cleaned properly before serving the next customers. Toilet paper supply is replenished daily regularly. Service : poor. Coffee corner service at the main lobby is horrible. One coffee server had sneezed at my coffee cup while he was preparing the coffee for me, He didn't even bother to make another cup and just handed over that coffee with his "big sneezing", to me. Limited food varieties at main buffet: Almost same kind of food and cookings are served on our 7 days of stay. No pure juice and only orange/pine-apple drinks are served. Limited supply of milk at breakfast. Exceptions of the week: There were only 2 meals of hot dish of pasta and 2 meals of fried rice. 2 meals with a small roast pig. One roasted ham served only for less than 20 minutes and the rest was returned to the kitchen. Our previous 3 times in other Cuba locations had been a wonderful time for our vacations. Melia Jardines Del Rey setting and environment is good, but the room service/supplies and food quality are not up to my expectation.
