Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great time!

I recently went to grand Bahia. It is kind of far from the airport 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic however I would recommend this hotel it is in fact very large. The rooms could be more dated but otherwise the food and staff are great!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Very much average resort

On the plus side the food was plentiful and diversified. The service at the dining facilities was provided with courtesy and a smile. This place is huge almost the size of a small town. But for a limited number of units one has to be prepared for a long walk (more or less 15 minutes) or take an available lorry to reach the crowded beach and hope for the best to find a shaded area. We had to have pillows replaced for bad smell, we were out of drinking water for 3 of the 9 days despite numerous request and to top it all the refrigerator did not functioned during the full stay. While there are positives we would definitely not return to that place. With regard to COVID, no mention anywhere of the subject on the site

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Not expected

As a frequent visitor of Bahia Principe Akumal, I was surprised to see the decline in the villas (housekeeping, repairs, etc.) but I guess that would be attributed to the on-going renovations. I unfortunately was not prepared for this scenario. Several days I had to call for towels, bath gel, hand soap and tissues. The pool was cloudy and not refreshing. Pool bar did not have enough glasses or various drinks.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Terrible Atmosphere

Altho the resort itself was nice and clean the staff are rude and didnt care if you were there or no. The smell of constant cigarettes and pot ruined the vacation. U couldn't enjoy the evening entertainment or pool area as clouds of smoke surrounded you. I could never have my patio door open to sit on it or enjoy the sounds as everyone had to smoke on their balconies. There arent enough umbrellas at the pool either. Go to Mexico its 100x's better.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great Resort

This hotel was amazing, the people were the best of the whole experience. Everyone was so friendly, rooms were beautiful. Pools kept pristine. The beach is nice, the resort is huge and the food was great. Davina from the privilege club is the kindest most amazing person ever. Thank you to her most of all!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Just OK

First of all, Covid is the thing of the past at the Bahia. No talk of Covid, no masks. Everything back to normal. This was our 3rd time at the Bahia. We went as a family group of 7 adults, with my sister and her husband's 21st stay there. The Esmerelda was our first choice, but it was under construction, so we stayed at the Amber. The bed spread with colorful palm trees. The colored walls. The Service was great and very clean. With being at an adult pool, we expected more music and more activities. We had more fun at the Punta Cana pool. The lobby was ok. We visited other lobbies and felt more comfortable than Amber lobby. Other lobbies had a water station that we could help ourselves. It was very hot and not always a waitress around in the daytime. Overall, we had a great time. We noticed other sections of the resort being shut down for renovations. I hope they don't lose the flavor of punta cana.

Our vacation didn’t get off to a great start as Air Canada changed planes and moved our seating that we paid extra for and my wife and I couldn’t even sit with her. As for the resort it was excellent. The food was good, our room was clean and our fridge was always full.We never had a problem getting al a carte restaurant’s all were good. With credit to the resort they would monitor the chairs and remove the towels that were not being used.The other problem was the swim up pool bars was so poorly run. It opens at 10am with the workers not showing until 10. They never had vodka,CC or even Rum most day until after 11 or after. We always tip but the didn’t seem appreciative and couldn’t even keep track of people’s order. Our only saving grace was the girl taking drink order by the pool ( Adelaida)was the best as she would to other bars to get our drinks.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Wonderful Stay at Bahia Principe

The resort was very relaxing, everything was taken care of for us by the amazing staff. My fiancé and I had the pleasure of meeting some great staff during our stay. Constantino, who we met at the 24 hour buffet, had taken care of our drinks and even recommended some great food options that were made fresh to order. As well as Kevin who took us home from another resort and provided great conversation. My fiancé and I would definitely look forward to staying here again.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Luxury at its best

The resort was amazing. We liked our room it was large, clean and had everything that we needed. The resort supplied robes, slippers, shampoo, conditioner body wash, body lotion, iron and hair blower. The service, food and entertainment was great. We were very pleased with everything this resort offered. I would love to go back and visit this resort again!

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great vacation

The hotel staff are nice. The facility is maintained well. However the rooms are dated with mould and broken receptacles. It was not a five star hotel as stated. I will recommend this hotel to others. However, be aware of the scam of the Privilege Club. People have lost tens of thousands of US$s under this scam. Please read the reviews. I am a victim of this scam too.

Here’s our review of the GBP Grounds 10/10 - well kept and nothing out of place. Rooms 6/10 - old, out dated, things not working. But you’re not spending most of your time in the room so it’s not a huge deal. Maintenance staff is very responsive. The lady who sells excursions at the grand pool followed my wife to the lobby and yelled at her because she accompanied someone who wanted to shop around for a better deal and the woman told the other staff members not to book us. If you have a pack of smoke visible 100% you’re getting asked for a few!! Not one but 2 or 3. Most of the wait staff (men) are not shy about flirting with the women of the group in front of their significant others. Food 9/10 - lots of options and everything is fresh Pools/Entertainment 10/10 - the entertainment staff do an amazing job making sure everybody is engaged all the time. Pools are managed well and are in great condition. Always chairs available Beeches 10/10 - beaches are in great condition. Always shares available water very clear.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Well maintained 4.5 stars

Grounds, food and entertainment were very good. We did have to change room after the first night since the air conditioners (outside our corner unit) were loud. Ask for second floor, if possible. Hot water takes time to arrive, but overall it was good. The ocean water/beach is great, except for jellyfish bites - the lifeguard is prepared to administrate vinegar and goes way quickly.

This by far has been the best resort we have visited. Not the best beach but the food, the staff, the rooms all amazing. Davina from the privilege club was so nice. So far my only dislike was the Transat staff, we went to the counter and the women were super rude and unhelpful, I don't think we'd fly Transat again for this reason

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Extremely good resort

Hotel is very good and area is huge, never been to such big complex, in fact there are 4 large hotels within it. There is a convenient shuttle service between them. Beach is not very good but that is nothing can be done about it.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Unique

Loved the location of the hotel. It definitely has lots of character & is very comfortable and clean. The scenery is very lushuous and green. The ocean is right in front of you. Loved hearing the sound of the waves every night. The staff we're very professional & friendly. The food & drinks we're delicious! I would highly recommend this place as your stay for the week. Very beautiful!! 🥰

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Wonderful Beach Bar

I am not sure I would classify this resort as Luxury, but 5 stars without a doubt. The rooms need updating, but served us perfectly, the AC was nice and cool, the beer in the fridge even cooler! Cleaned and restocked every day. The two ala cartes at Sian Ka'an were the best meals we ate during our weeks stay. Alux was incredible! The service at the pool bar, lounge and buffet was great. A 10 min trolley ride from the beach or any other resort on the complex, we never waited more than 10 min for a ride. The Sian Ka'an private beach area deserves special mention, the beach bar was my favorite place on the property. Comfortable seating, 3 or more bartenders, relaxing music, the ocean, truly relaxing. We are in our early 30s, and there was certainly and older crowd but we never had issues finding someone to chat (or drink) with! We enjoyed our vacation, played pool volleyball 5 mornings, spend a night at the hacienda, foam party at the infinity pool. No complaints whatsoever.

Everything at this resort is fantastic. Excellent customer service. Very clean. Lots of excellent choices for food. Nice beach, pools. Good for families, romantic getaways, friends getaways. Highly recommend

I got kicked out of the pool area (akumal) for sitting on their chairs because apparently you can go to the other resorts (4 in 1), but you can’t use the other pools or anything on the resort... I was not informed when checking in, I got so embarrassed. Majority of their meat is pork, I thought they’d have a decent amount of beef / chicken options but no. The staff were great, Marcos (air Canada rep) was absolutely amazing & super friendly. They hardly played Spanish music, they played majority Canadian/American radio music. There are not enough chairs to sit by the pool. People will lay their towels down & leave to go eat so they can come back later if they want & have a spot. The pools were beautiful but closed too early, before the sun even sets 6 or 7 pm. Overall decent resort, I would probably stay somewhere else if I ever came to Mexico again.

Expecting 5-star, Adult ONLY, ALL inclusive resort - however, connected to 5 other resorts. Too large, children nearby, including in restaurants, extra costs for some menu items and drinks, evening shows at other location at a cost. Restaurant reservations had to be made online and not available. A lot of areas where language was a barrier - everything had to be done on apps, which would be good to know ahead of time. Overall, nice and thankful to be away but a little disappointed with it as a whole - initial advertising wasn't forthcoming.
