Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Beautiful Resort
This resort is amazing an adults only, 20 mins from airport. The king bedroom was really spacious with a huge California King bed. They had a wicker table and chairs. Fridge was stocked daily with 2 water and pop. Snacks were left in cabinet. The staff kept everything really clean. Our room was 5 min walk to pool and beach. The beach and pool could be seen from our balcony. Lots of food choices even vegan in the buffet restaurant. There were 2 other restaurants on site one by reservation only. [... read more]
Royal Hideaway Playacar: Third time at this resort, only one complaint
This was our third time staying at the Royal Hideaway Playacar (we've gone each February for the past 3 years). The food, drinks, rooms, grounds, and staff are all amazing, and the resort has such a charming, intimate feel to it because it is so small (about 200 rooms). My only complaint is about the canvas sun shades/canopies on the beach. This hotel is distinct because it has one of these for each set of chairs on the beach (most other resorts don't have this). When we first came here in Febru [... read more]
Allegro Playacar: Great time!
Lovely resort, well kept grounds, good food and excellent staff. The room was modern and fresh and the beds very comfortable. Restocking the water, coffee and fridge were a bit inconsistent. If someone had mobility issues they may find the stairs to the upper units and the walk down to the beach a bit of a challenge - slight slope heading toward the pools and beach. Would certainly travel back to the Allegro.
Barcelo Maya Colonial: Nice resort
Well kept grounds. Friendly staff. We were a bit disappointed with the beach. There is no shade. Tall skinny palm trees don't provide any shade. Therefore we would park our stuff by the pools where the shade is minimal and walk to beach to swim. Why are there no palapas? I have never been to a resort with no palapas.
Occidental Caribe: A great Resort
The hotel area is clean the food was great the rooms were usually clean quite well the staff were polite the people who work the pool bar are always fun exciting entertainment at night was great in the hall and the entertainment by the bar was always fun to watch like watching the karaoke overall it was a great Resort
Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Beautiful clean well maintained Resort.
I loved the resort it is very clean grounds well maintained. Just lovely. The people that served us were friendly and willing to do what ever there could to make your stay pleasant. The food was wonderful all kinds of varieties at the buffets . If you wanted to you could go for a walk off the resort, and feel safe. . Out side of the resort, was so clean and the streets and gardens very well maintained . I loved it here and would recommend this resort and area to anyone .. a five sta [... read more]
Barcelo Maya Colonial: Top Notch Resort
My wife,Diane and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 10 days at Barcelo Colonial. Beautiful, long beach with many pools and lots of chairs. We enjoyed good food at the buffet and two of the three a la carte Restaurants. .. Not the seafood as we were pushed to buy expensive wine and were rushed.. The Japanese and Italian were excellent! Eight of 10 days were sunny and hot. On the two cooler, cloudy days we were able to find many things to do besides shopping (there are a lot of shops) There are t [... read more]
Palma Real: Cuba Vacation
Hotel is ideal location downtown next to Havana Club nightclub, House of Rum, Bank, Calle 62 Bar, Barbacaos Steakhouse and many shops. Beach is a walk down the street which is unfortunately under repair. Snack/bar available and loungers under shade. Beach is very beautiful. Hotel is older and rooms need updating/repair. Moved to a better room with walkout to pool without issue. Entertainment shows and music daily at the pool in the afternoon. Buffet always had something - beef potatoes ice cream [... read more]
Palma Real: Good Resort Downtown
Good resort located downtown within walking distance to shops, restaurants, nightclubs and bank. Beach is across the street which had construction going on. Older hotel with swimup bar and music/entertainment at the pool. Nightly shows with bar available. Buffet choices were repetative. A la cartes were only open on fri/sat. Italian pizzaria was not opened. Snack bar choices were limited. Wine only available at the buffet or to purchase at the shops on site. Ran out of ice most days and rum one [... read more]
Occidental Cozumel: Beautiful resort!!
The grounds were beautiful with lush gardens and trees!! Beach was clean but disappointed in the ocean rocks and constant waves!! No swim up pool but clean and cold lol Food was good but buffets very small and not a lot of variety!! Services was great especially Carlos and Rayana!!! Rooms were clean and gorgeous!! Overall had an amazing trip and highly recommended!!
Barcelo Ixtapa: Outstanding Resort
The staff, food and accommodations were outstanding. We really enjoyed our stay. The food and the views were amazing. Other guests were very nice and the resort provides many different activities for guests. I recommend this resort as it is in a great area compared to others. Thank you Tripcentral for the great customer service!
Allegro Cozumel: Our stay at Allegro Cozumel
Overall we had a great time, wish the kids / families that were there had utilized the kids pool more than they did. There are 3 pools, a kids pool, a more family oriented pool, and a bigger pool with swim-up bar/entertainment - we took this to be the adult pool, still lots of kids around/loud families Also wish there was a sign / rule about “reserving chairs†at the pool. Frustrating when people would reserve chairs, one day someone had 3 chairs reserved we were at the pool for 6 hours a [... read more]
Occidental Arenas Blancas: Fair
This was my second stay here, the resort is fair. I would not call it a 4 star though. If you go with the mind set that you’re going to Cuba for the beach and to relax then you’re good. We the food was acceptable but they need to work on their costumer service skills.
Barcelo Ixtapa: Amazing beach. Dated resort.
Pools are nice. Service is ok poolside. No room service. Drinks are watered down. DO NOT EAT THE SUSHI they dont know how to cook sushi rice and it is always half cooked. Mexican food is good. Food selection is large, if bland. Staff struggle with english. Location and rooms are really good, if very dated. This is a 4 star resort... at best.
Occidental Cozumel: Very Relaxing Resort
Rooms very clean and spacious. Grounds well kept. short walk to all areas, pools lobby and ocean. Buffets are a tad small. Staff gave very good service. Ocean a bit rocky going in. Not much going on for entertainment at night.
Barcelo Tambor: Amazing Resort
-grounds were luscious and green, extremely clean in all areas, including public areas -beach was lengthly and very quiet, but needed water shoes at top to walk on rocks, then very sandy once in the water -buffet was very nice, fresh, and plenty of variety -only 2 a la carte restaurants, but both were very good quality and service, however having to stand in line every morning the day of reservation was very annoying -very surprised at the amount of locals permitted on the resort, and seeme [... read more]
Barcelo Solymar: 3 star resort
It was a good resort. We encountered some problems. There was no water at all for the most part of one day throughout the entire hotel. We only had cold showers for the other 6 days. It did not get to 50 degrees at all, more like 40 degrees. There was no hot water. The people were great, the hospitality was top notch. Huge resort and they were keeping up with the up grades. So huge that there was a lot of walking being done to go throughout the entire resort. I had no problems with this. 3 â [... read more]
Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Beautiful
This place is amazing for kids and adults, lots and lots to do. The food is alright. And the entertainment Is really good as well. I only wish they had like a beach bar/snack bar. This was really the only thing I wasn’t to thrilled about.
Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Great resort for families & adults only
Large white sand beach, many different restaurants (Japanese, French, Italian, Spanish, Sports restaurant, etc.), & activities (mini-golf, golf, bowling, tennis, basketball, water sports, sailing, canoeing, etc.) many pools, water park for kids, many bars, 2 large theaters with great shows every night. Hotel is large with many different buildings so you never feel cramped up with people around, hotel rooms are very nice and beach chairs are always easily available with good shade from many palm [... read more]
Occidental Tucancun: Good place to stay
We spent 2 weeks in Occidental Tucancun and had a really good time. The hotel was clean and had all the amenities one needs. It was really handy to have the mall across the street. The location of this hotel is great. The beach was beautiful as as always the case in the hotel zone and we spent a lot of time playing in the waves. If you are not a good swimmer, the ocean is tricky as the currents were strong and the waves big. We also found it quite windy, more so than in previous years when we we [... read more]
