Melia Internacional: Melia International - Don't Go!
Having been to Cuba 14 times, we had very low expectations provided the current economic situation. We DID expect Good Customer Service as the Cubans are some of the most amazing people. To our disappointment this resort was far from Hospitable, or Happy! Upon arrival we were not welcomed like our usual past trips to Cuba. No smiles, no drinks, no warm welcome. Felt like we were intruding. The resort was 50% capacity, and after requesting a pool view room, we were placed in a corner lookin [... read more]
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Best resort in Cuba
Everything is kept spotless, the buffet is completely redone, the staff are all very nice and hard working and the beach is the best in the Caribbean with a combination of palapas, palm and almond trees so there is always shade if you like.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Standard Quiet Resort
I would say that this is a standard resort on a much smaller scale. This is also a quiet resort that caters more to older adults. So definitely not for the party animals. No disco! The resort grounds, facilities and room are okay. The food situation in this resort is very unfortunate. Options are very very very limited. This probably is the result of the shortage/crisis. I hope this will improve over time. There is nothing mind blowing about this resort but I would still recommend it for those w [... read more]
Melia Las Americas: Just Ok
The resort is ok, not worth 2k per person when you can get so much more in DR & Mexico for the same price. They lacked fruit, vegetables and mixes for most booze. Do not go until the figure out the golf cart/maintenance situation. A group of 48 golfers will not be back (not my group). Cuba is taken advantage of their loyal vacationers and offering little in return.
Melia Las Americas: Good and comfortable resort
Good resort, I would like to see improvements in the rooms, when I pre-requested a room with a view and a king size bed the hotel staff said they would change rooms everyday at 3pm for four straight days. This to me was not acceptable. The al a carte restaurants were lacking for a five star there was only three choices and I found they served the same food found in the buffets.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Awesome Trip!
I spent the last week at this resort. The people who work there are awesome. They go above and beyond to accommodate all of your needs. The food was ok, not the best, but it was ok. The beach was wonderful other than the coral that had come up on the shoreline from the Hurricanes that they have had. The water was warm and refreshing. Always music playing on the beach, and the beach guys were amazing at getting chairs for you and sweeping them off. Overall I would rate this resort a 7/ [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Great Resort
Well kept resort, Grounds and Gardens amazing, Staff very friendly, One negative review, Early morning departure Electric Transportation broken down, No plan to help clients, especially the elderly who had to lug luggage from 2nd floor and pull luggage (some from a great distance) to lobby.
Tryp Cayo Coco: Safe Resort
One of the safest resorts in Cuba!! I have been going there for over 10 years would not even consider going to another the Tryp Cayo Coco is an excellent place for everyone. I recently left my gold earrings on the nightstand and went off for the day only realized I didn't have my earrings n freaked ! Went back to my room nand there they were right where I left them and I want to thank Juana who cleaned my room daily for her honesty she is a super person and very much appreciated â¤ï¸ So if [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Great time!
The hotel was nice, the grounds are well taken care of and the staff is extremely nice. Will definitely go again with my kids. The Beach is amazing and pools are very nice. Not many options in food selection or bar drinks. Lots of Rum though!
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Not a 5 star
Paradisus Princesa del Mar in Veradero is not a 5 star resort. 3 restaurants are closed. Grounds are unkept. Rooms need to be updated. Alcohol choices are very limited- days without wine, vodka, gin, etc. Food is terrible. We understand the situation in Cuba, but the rating for this hotel is wrong. Should be a 3.5.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Beautiful Resort
The grounds at this resort are amazing very well kept and really nice and green. The pool and beach area lots of room we were able to find a lounger any time we went to either. However, we spend majority of our time at the beach. You can walk for miles on the beach. The staff went beyond and back to help you. The service was great. Entertainment was very good, so we never left the resort during our stay. Our room was only steps away from the beach and pool. Building 26. I feel the resort was onl [... read more]
Sol Palmeras: Amazing vacation!
My best friend and I had a great time at the resort. We had an awesome room on ground floor so we could just walk out to the pool and beach right from our room! Pool was right there beach was only a two minute walk! Beach was beautiful lots of chairs never had to worry about that. Food was ok. But that’s what it is like at resorts so we expected that. Staff was super friendly, and our maid was the best! We will be coming back next year with the kids!
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Staff was amazing!
I didn’t expect great food but it was terrible! I think they are still trying to recover from Covid. Hardly any entertainment during the day and even the music poolside you couldn’t hear because the volume was so low.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful resort
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool entertainment were awesome. Giselle was so friendly and energetic. The grounds were preparing for the winter season. By the time we left, they had everything looking great. The beach was beautiful. We snorkeled right out from shore. The catamaran crew at the beach are amazing. There seemed to be quite a bit of coral so water shoes are recommended. Delicious omelettes every morning. There was always a variety of pork, fish and chicken. No p [... read more]
Melia Buenavista: Exceeded our Expectations...
We have visited Cayo Largo 20 times over the past several years, overtime the beach has eroded and the prosperities have deteriorated so we thought we would try Cayo Santa Maria for the 1st time. In short, the hotel and staff significantly exceeded our expectations. The resort is small, but very well positioned at the tip of the island. You have 3 beaches to choose from the west, east and center of the island, so you can position yourself to your desired beach based on winds and weather condi [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Melia Jardines Del Rey
Hotel was in a great location, rooms are spacious, clean and bright. Booked ocean view and it was worth the extra to be close to the beach. Also puts you close to the lunch buffet. Beach is nice and long for walking, and you could be far out in the ocean without it getting deep. Water shoes might be good for some people as there is some coral along the shoreline. Pool area is really nice, with a snack bar right there. At this time the a Al carte restaurants weren’t all opened but being r [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Best resort ever visited
Great customer service, staff went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable, very clean. Have been in many other resorts but Melia Cayo Santa Maria is on the top of the list of best experiences we ever had in Cuba. Rooms are large and comfortable. Beach is very clean and beautiful. Strongly recommend this resort.
Paradisus Varadero: Good resort
The hotel was great not much water pressure in the room showers or hot water, the food was ok at the buffet not much flavor or variety a la carts we did Cuban and Italian they were both very good delicious food. Knowing about the state cuba is in did not expect much in the way of the food but expected a little better that what we had at the buffet. Beach is beautiful staff is amazing and friendly
Paradisus Rio De Oro: let's go again !
Amazing Resort ! Full Relaxation and recharging your battery ! No any covid restrictions ! Happy people are around you. Friendly staff. No highrise buildings with elevators. Not crowded resort. Most of tourists are from Canada and Germany I wish to stay longer. Cheers !
Melia Las Dunas: Great resort!
The grounds are beautiful and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful! Rooms are outdated but they keep them clean. Big resort so some walking is required. The food is as expected. Not the highlight of the trip but they do try. They have freshly grilled meat at the buffet and fresh hamburgers at the snack bars. I found the ocean so/so. There was a lot of seaweed and the waves were rough and extremely salty. Never seen chunks of salt so big in an ocean before. My son had to see the resort [... read more]
