Crown Paradise Golden: This resort blew us away!

This resort was above and beyond what we could’ve asked for! The grounds were tidy, clean and very well kept. The food was outstanding in every aspect and the alacarts were to die for! The beach was clean, the waves were great and we were even served drinks on the sand. We will not book anywhere else from this point on - amazing experience !

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Good and bad

Did not get building we requested, after being there 5 times, wanted one by the beach and got the one farthest away from the beach. Food was okay, never hot, and no more meat carving stations. There were more loungers so didn't need to get up super early to reserve although many people still did. Lots of activities. Riu Vallarta: A+ For Effort

The staff were all friendly & acommodating overall. The variety of food offered would please anyone, however I found it to be a little plain. The pool area was nice but the beach was great. The entertainment was your standard menu

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Resort

We all have a very good time at the Friendly Puerto Vallarta .The staff was very friendly and any thing you wanted or needed they where very happy to help you .I would recommend this resort to anyone .

Flamingo Vallarta: Very relaxing, quiet hotel.

Hotel staff were very nice. Everything was super clean. Cleaning staff did an amazing job on rooms and public areas making sure everything was spotless .very hygienic. Beds very comfortable and food at restaurant was very good. We had a lovely time there. Would go back again.

Las Palmas by the Sea: A good hotel depicting a lovely ambiance of old Mexico

An older hotel which we found to be very clean from the main lobby and sitting areas, including the public restrooms,the pools areas, the dining facilities and our room.The staff were friendly, polite, aimed to please. and were continually mopping/sweeping , generally making everything clean (no musty odours). The bathroom was quite small & with only a shower and we had only two very small drawers for our personal items so we pretty well needed to live out of our luggage.

Crown Paradise Golden: Nice Resort

I liked the hotel due to it being small in size, service was great from all of the staff throughout the resort. The only negative I had was the service and the food at the international restaurant. The service was slow ,food was not what it stated on menu. A bottle of wine fell on the floor and it sat there the whole time we were in the restaurant. The host of the restaurant was overwhelmed and didn't appear to want to be there.

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Not up to Sunscape standards

The hotel is nicely located, renovations have made an improvement to bringing this hotel up to Sunscape standards but not there yet. Our experience was troublesome right from the Sun Club checkin. They did not have our room selection available!? They did give us a nice room, however we had to move the next morning, before 11:00am!? It is now 8:20pm and we are just heading to our room! Check in was about 90min!? Next morning...We asked if we were to pack up and they would move our luggag [... read more]e to the new room, when available? We were told no they could not!? We were not offered any solution for storing our luggage, until our room would be available at 3:00!? This is the second day of our holiday and we are basically held captive at the resort as we are detained there because we have no place to put our luggage! We spent another hour of our “holiday time”,discussing this unreasonable request before they agreed to move our luggage to our new room, once they had it ready! Which was what we requested. By this point we are stressed out 🥺 WiFi is only available in the lounge area and not always a strong enough signal, at that. The SunClub food was deserts and sandwiches. Not once in 9 days was there anything else. No vegetables or other food!? Premium alcohol was almost non existent! They didn’t even supply kahlua, it was something else, in a none labeled bottle!? I saw a bottle with maybe 3 oz in it, of Grand Mariner the night we checked in and it was never available or seen again, for the remaining 8 days of our stay, for example. I should have seized the moment! They rest of the trip went about the same. Even in the Sun Club area, we had to ask for loungers, after an entire scanning of the resort, daily there were not enough. The plastic glasses at the bars were washed without a dishwasher. There was never any cutlery at the Grill, to eat with!? Which is probably okay if you want to eat guacamole and salsa, for example, with fingers only😳 Every day there was something not quite up to advertised resort amenities!? The entertainment is lacking also. The quality is fine, there is not much of a selection though. The gym is very small but there is some outdoor space available. Towels, mini bar(I only drank the water) not replaced when room was cleaned, daily. We did tip for every service, every day! JS I could continue with the administrative defects but I’m sure you get the just of my review and how our holiday was. Keeping in mind that Mexico is a different country and service is different there than perhaps Canada and the USA, however the simple basic services and amenities are not where they should be, in my opinion. We have travelled to both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of Mexico, 19 times now, always staying in 4star hotel chains, all inclusive resorts, as well as previously at another Sunscape, and it is my opinion that the management/administration needs work to bring this resort up to its advertised claims. With that said we were very happy with the food, the staff was all ways Mexico 5star; happy, polite and very accommodating. The rooms and common areas were always very clean. The beds were comfortable and we did get to try out 2 different ones 😆

Melia Puerto Vallarta: and it is indeed an amazing resort - in more ways than one - we would give it an A+ for everything except shade. As my husband has had a few melanomas and has been advised not to sit in the sun, it was very difficult to find shady spot on either the lower beach or the pool area- there are many palm trees but they are very tall and do not provide much shade, maybe some more palapas.

We found everything about the grounds interesting and so clean; it was great to be able to just sit on a bench in the lush gardens between the trees and watch the birds fly by, see the turtles among the gold fish, enjoy the various flowers. The pool was so clean at all times. The service from the staff was excellent, always very friendly and accommodating . The food was plentiful and well prepared, the a la carte restaurants had varied menus, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages were p [... read more]lentiful. The room was more than adequate with a great view. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable and very professional. Due to health problems, this was our first southern trip in a few years and it was a very happy experience - we hopefully will return soon.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Wonderful time

We were pleasantly surprised of this resort..quaint smaller town..beautiful beaches...gorgeous bay for full time ocean swimming...never too windy...more than enough things to do The resort itself was extremely clean..had entertainment every nite as well as different intervals during each day...staff were wonderful...helpful and just beautiful people We're looking to return for a longer time next year

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: An amazing time!

This hotel is such a great place! We’ve found the one that everyone is always looking for when traveling. The one where you want to go back year after year. Every group or couple we talked to it was their 6th or 12th or 18th time here and that speaks volumes. Check in: literally took 2 minutes, although we booked club in aug and emailed asking for a 9th floor room to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary we were put on the 7th. The king was firm but we had good sleeps and it had lots of pillows. The bathroom was somewhat smaller and once you get two people getting ready it gets tight. The view is to die for and the balcony was huge! We had coffee every morning and watched the lights of pv every night out there. Pools: They are not freezing cold like mentioned, They are somewhat heated and very well maintained. Once you get in for a quick second it’s a small refreshing feeling then it’s like a bath tub. We watched maintenance replace any tile that was broken or missing unlike some reviews saying they are all broken everywhere. Not true. Pool bar was fantastic and service was the best we’ve had! Although I do worry about the lack of times people leave the pool all day if you know what I mean.... upstairs at the sonne club it was everything next level, service, drinks, food and smiles. Beatric took care of absolutely everything and I mean everything! This pool also had a hot tub on either side which was way too hot for us but lots of people were using it. Restaurants: We had the outdoor buffet style a couple times and it was great every time! It is shared seating if you’re a small couple but what better way to meet new folks. We had dinner at the Italian twice and the Chula vista outside area one night. Each place was amazing and the service was second to none. Breakfast every morning was outside at the veranda and is a must if you book club! Such a nice start to your day and once again service is top notch! We ordered room service a couple times and it is slow but to be expected, it was very good with lots of options. The food here is the best we’ve had at any all inclusive and they do the best to make everyone happy. Pool side they have cookouts with anything from fish to chicken or steak. A must is the fish tacos pool side, they were the best! 7th to 9th floor happy hour is a nice touch too as they had snacks like wings or finger food and drinks readily available with coffee or pastries in the mornings. Service: They must get a training seminar because we stayed at grand fiesta in Cabo and service there was incredible as well. Here though because it’s a smaller resort you get to interact more with the same group of staff. I really don’t like name dropping but these folks do one hell of a job from Arron in the veranda and 7th floor lounge to Raphael also at veranda and 9th floor lounge. Andreas at the pool bar was very welcoming, happy and such a good spirited guy. Oscar at the sonne club would never leave you hanging and they would bring you buckets of water or beer or both. Francisco, tip of the hat to you sir, you run a truly amazing resort! We will be back again!

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Great Vacation at Barcelo!!

Travelled to Barcelo in late Feb and had a great week. The 4 of us found the food quite to our liking, the pool was excellent and the service was fantastic. Only drawback is no free wifi area and it's too far for easy access to the old town area. Highly recommend this resort.

Riu Vallarta: Amazing as Expected!

We have done 2 RIU in the past, Aruba & Punta Cana. This one is just as gorgeous if not more. We enjoyed the service, amenities, food, hoisekeeping, etc... Despite the beach was a bit wavy and cold for swimming, we certainly enjoyed the 7 nights there. Hopefully, the upcoming renovation will bring this establishment to a higher level! Keep up the good work!

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Ok, but many complains

We spent 10 days in February. Maintenance of the hotel is poor: rooms smell musty, public washrooms are poorly services; food is ok, but variety could be better. Our whole family (6 people) got sick with some sort of bug. We complained to administration, but got told that there is nothing going around the hotel. However, we undertsand from other guests that many of them got sick with the same symptoms as us. Good shows and entertainment crew is trying their best. Plaza Pelicanos Grand: Wonderful resort! Would definitely go back.

We just returned from an amazing week at Pelicanos Grand. So many great things to say about it. Comfy beds, warm pool, amazing Sky-bar lounge, awesome staff, fun swim up bar, drinks we delish, beer was very cold. :) The food was good, but not amazing. Tropicana Hotel: Fabulous Location!

The Tropicana is right in the heart of Old Town.....you can walk everywhere. The grounds are lovely, 2 nice pools and a great beach. Some of the rooms are getting tired but I believe they are upgrading as they can. We have stayed here a number of times because we love the location. It's not the Ritz by any means, but its very clean. Note: don't pay extra for the breakfast option!

Samba Vallarta: Friendly Small Resort

This place is very nice. The rooms are clean and the grounds are very well kept. The rooms and linens are tired but very clean. You do not spend much time in your room anyway. The food is good. There was fish every day and it was delicious. The omelet lady always had a smile on her face. The staff are very friendly. I have mobility problems and I found this resort to be the perfect size.It is not a huge resort. This is my second time at this resort. Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Nice Resort

The Resort was very clean and beautifully decorated and arranged. The grounds were well maintained and kept very clean including the bathrooms. The room was very nice and the ocean view was fantastic. Dining areas were very nice and food very good with the exception of the Asian Restaurant. Entertainment at night was okay but limited. The employees were all very friendly, courteous and nice. Would like to have had a better liquor selection ie. Corona or Pacifico in all areas of Resort.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Average and Over Priced

Rooms were nothing special. Unlike most resorts, no liquor in the mini bar and only glasses of wine delivered to your room. Top shelf brands were not available at the bars. Grounds were clean. Virtually no evening entertainment, unless you count Bingo and a disc jockey in the main bar. We stayed 2 weeks. Not enough choice of restaurants. Meals were hit and miss. We dined 4 times at the Italian restaurant, service and food was good twice, the other 2 times were awful. Similar in the Asian rest [... read more]aurant. All staff were very pleasant and willing to give assistance. Room service was prompt but the menu was limited. For comparable cost, you can receive much better. However, many people we talked with have been returning to this resort for years.

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: So Amazing

Pretty much everything; wonderful restaurant, great view of the bay & beach from a large balcony. The room was exceptional; one bedroom with two baths; marble showers etc. Service was exceptional as well.
