Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: We had an amazing time!

This resort is a very quaint old style hacendia casa! You don't know what awaits you until you go inside.. it is centred around a courtyard style casa. The rooms are around the exterior. The pool and snack are on one end close to the spa and the main buffet is in the centre. P This resort is perfect for young families who want to keep track of their little ones. Also perfect for middle age and older looking to relax. Also those with mobility issues consider this resort. Everything is within e [... read more]asy access. The beach is not a far walk and totally safe to go to and from the resort. I believe if u have mobility issues they have a van that can take you. You will find a snack shack at the beach as well. Although this is an older resort the staff are always working to keep it in good working order. There is one alacarte restaurant and we didn't even get there. There is some repetition but for the price we were very happy. They have on Thursday night a Mexican theme supper. On Saturday night it's BBQ night. They doll the one side of the resort all up fancy and it's very nice. They also have an Italian night as well. Th only down side is how close it is to the main road. We had our room right by the corner of the street light. Next time I will bring ear plugs lol. I will definitely be going back. On a side note if u r looking for something different to do in puerto Vallarta try the zoo! We did and we enjoyed it very much!! .

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Amazing vacations

This hotel has been one of the most wonderful places I been ; we’ve been here for 7 days and the room ; pools food mostly gourmet; pool beach and service from the front desk room service and restaurant service was great ; and actually we went to do couples excursion ; shopping at playa del carmen and next day going to the Marina beach to enjoy with rtv speed boat and seadoo and again it was amazing ; i know than in México many persons doesn’t like to go because news said to much negative pr [... read more]oblem ; but I’ll tell you if you just gonna go to the resort and staying there until your last day you for sure gonna be okay ; nothing going to happens ; this side to f this beautiful country is pretty secure and well take it and secure with alots cops all over ; now if do you wanna go out of your resort for f do you speak spanish you have not problem at all and if isn’t just go away during the day and you gonna have always an excellent profesional service to taking care of you . Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Tropical Resort

The grounds are beautiful. Feels like we were in the middle of a jungle. Rooms are like huts , it was hard to regulate temperate . High humidity. A downer was that we had no warning they were spraying for termites. Right next to our hut for most of the day. It stank— afraid to inhale. The people were very friendly ; entertainment was good.

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Barcelo Gran Faro

Really enjoyed the resort. The check in and check out was quick and efficient. The food was excellent, the rooms were clean and well maintained and the grounds were groomed immaculately. The staff at the resort was friendly, helpful and easy to get along with. Would definitely stay here again.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Amazing resort to relax

The personnel is very polite, pleasant and upfront. A minor problem is that they should have more staff that could manage in English. It would be nice if they would have some shows during the evening for entertainment. Again, on positive side, never out of lawn chair, beach is nice, place is very clean and food is A1. It is a good place to relax and walking distance from 2 malls I would recommend it to anybody

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Our fun in the sun

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The room, grounds, washrooms, restaurants all kept very clean. Staff was very friendly, even those that kept trying to get us to sign up for circle one (that part was a little annoying). We had previously been to gourmet resorts so we're determined not to do food comparisons. There was plenty to choose from in the buffets and we enjoyed the A la Carte restaurants. The only thing we didn't like was the inconsistency of the "drinks" and the inconsistency of  [... read more]what their "dress code" was. Example being, my husband wouldn't be accepted in dress shorts, dress shirt, closed toed shoes and had to buy long pants but it was acceptable for others to arrive in torn jeans, tshirts and ball caps! No exaggeration!!! That being said, it would not stop us from returning to this resort. We had so much fun and met a lot of wonderful people!

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Awesome resort

This resort is very clean, people extremely friendly. I really like how there is an adult only floor with an adult lounge. Also an adult only area in the buffet, as well as an adult pool. From what I have seen the families also have a great time with numerous activities going on and lots of variety of nightlife I have been twice to this resort and will go again

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Fantastic resort

Food great, beach great, entertainment great!!! Best time!!! The ppl were wonderful !!! The resort was extemly clean and premium booze!!! Loved it, rooms were good but wish they were bigger ... not enough room for 7 days

Riu Emerald Bay: Attractive resort

The rooms were nice, but if anything went wrong eg. tv converter you could try for days and not get resolved, The food was ok not fantastic. entertainment not good every thing in Spanish,would be wise to up date microphones and speakers terrible could never under stand anything spoken. The beach was the best thing going nice sand and very long great. At the resort nothing to do except go to beach. This resort could be so much better

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Second Visit to EPM

We stayed here two years ago and had a great time then and now. The resort is well laid out and the staff are friendly and courteous. From the check in staff to waiters, servers, cleaning staff and groundskeepers all were happy to say hello. The food is exceptional at most of the restaurants. We travelled in a group and although we didn’t eat all meals together they accommodated us at the breakfast buffet every morning and sat us together. A few people in our group had a meal or two that  [... read more]they weren’t thrilled with but my experience was that all meals met or exceeded expectations. Service is slow at dinner, however, it’s vacation and we had no where to go. The main pool was not heated during the first two days of our stay but by the third it was fine. The lazy river is not heated. The only concern I had was that the mattress. I had a hard time regulating my temperature. I was either melting or freezing. The nights were cool and the A/C was on when the room was made up and the room didn’t warm up on the cooler nights. Otherwise a fantastic experience at a highly recommended resort I hope to have the opportunity to visit again.

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Great Resort!

The resort is huge, which is nice, because you will never get bored, but it is unfortunate that you cannot see all of it. The Grand was amazing, kids club was the best I've seen. Pool water is warm at 3 of the Grand Pools, which is nice. Ice cream at resort is hand made and very good. Beach could be better, too much seaweed. We did a photoshoot while there with the photographers, and use some resort credit, it was still pricey. I wish the bowling alley kitchen was open a little later - because [... read more] the bakery is all that's left for late night food. Overall, we will be back, we love Cancun. I would only stay at the Grand, the other two resorts were not comparable to the Grand.

Riu Santa Fe: First Riu experience

Overall we had a great stay! This Riu is a little dated but the rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and all our requests were met. Pools-infinity pool overlooking the ocean was great but can get a little crazy later in the day. The 'family' pool was good for a more quiet setting. Found not having poolside service made the swim up poolbar area a bit wild(not sure some people ever got out) Also didn't like the alcohol bottle dispensers in the room when traveling with teenage kids  [... read more]The buffet was good with a variety of food. A la carte restaurants were disorganized and you had to wait in line at least an hour a head of time to try and get a table-there is no sign up Shows were just ok There is construction going on so building 5&6 are best, building 7 for ocean view but by the noisy pool-we were in building 6 fairly quiet, you do hear the doors opening and closing Overall we had a great time but would stay at a different resort if returning, especially if traveling with small kids

Las Brisas Huatulco: Pleasent Resort

Staff were very polite and helpful. Food was as expected Alcohol was not as I had been lead to believe Room was clean and had a great view Grounds were clean and pretty Lots to do Loved the walking and stairs, great to stay in shape Very regulated with towels in the room and on the beach Very regulated with water in your room

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Great resort

Would recommend this resort to families for sure. So much to do and you never have to leave the resort. Spent 5 days snd still didnt see/do it all. Food wad reasonable although the baked goods could use some help. Rooms varied. Looks like there were a few newly renovated rooms that were perfect but the rest were just okay. Oceanview was breathtaking.

Occidental Cozumel: Nice resort, could be better

This resort has the potential to be a 5 star resort. What they are lacking was , Food in the restaurants need to be upgraded. The steak they do serve is inedible and the buffets should have a better selection and maybe 2 omelette stations instead of one. The premium liquor was hit and miss, depending on whether they felt like serving it. They should also have a better wine selection. The front desk employees were very unhelpful. I went to book a room for fou [... read more]r hours after checkout, as our flight was late and was told there was none available and then two of my friends went up after me and got rooms. How is this possible? The resort itself has a wonderful layout and the rooms were very clean and well maintained. So, the bottom line, more courteous, knowledgable front desk staff. Better food and wine!

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Fantastic resort

This was the perfect resort for our family of 9 people. The facilities were great and the rooms were superb. The food at the buffet was fantastic although I cannot say that about the restaurants. Will return to the same resort in a heartbeat

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great resort

We just returned from a great vacation at Royal Decameron. We stayed in block 1 with beach front fantastic view. There was not one thing to complain about, great friendly staff, good food and lots of choice. Hotel was a little old but well kept and clean every where. The beach was clean with all kinds of lounges every where ,never had to wait for a free lounge. The bar keeps were all very nice and always made what ever you like with a smile. Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Better than we could have imagined

Amazing resort! We had the silver suite, and had made prior request that were all met! Air transit had done well to bring us to the resort and helping us book a tour to the Xplor park. Thank you Natalie and tripcentral.ca for making this trip amazing. Angelo, and Sairy are great at pumping people up and their silliness honestly boosts people up, the tequila tasting was super fun and involving everyone. The room service and house keeping is a great thing as well. Never been to a hotel or resort where I was satisfied with the cleanliness until now. The house keeping and turn down service is great I can't say enough about that! Truly enjoyed it, the beach was great, the food at the restaurants were great, 7 restaurants plus the hibachi awesome. Only thing that disappointed me a little was the habchi, the chef seemed a bit sloppy but food was still good. 5 stars

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Everything you need

The grounds are kept clean, the staff works very hard and the resort is in a good location. Rooms are typical, but the cleaning staff makes the stay a bit more enjoyable by making sure you have everything you need, towels, stocked fridge and a clean room upon your return after a long day. The walk to Playa is long but enjoyable if you walk the beach, otherwise a cab is your best option for evening. The food is ok, the Japanese restaurant was voted best by our group of 6, and the Mexican was v [... read more]oted the least, but that was because our waiter "rolled his eyes" when we asked to have our drink first before placing our order. The place was not busy but he said he had others coming....so we ate quickly and left. We all enjoyed the wildlife around, and the staff takes good care of you, so if you are looking for a good resort this one is a decent fit.

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Enjoyed our stay at Buenaventura

We were there from January 5 -12, 2018. Flight to PV was good and a few minutes early. We could not check into our room until about 3pm. The check-in process was easy. Staff was friendly. This was our first visit to PV. Our room was small but nice. Clean. A/C worked well. Balcony is small. Ours had only a partial view of the ocean. Maid service was excellent. We tipped her every day. The grounds are well kept. It is a pretty place. A smaller resort though. So do not expect the dining opti [... read more]ons that a large resort provides. On the other hand, you are not in a crowd staying here. There are 2 outdoor bars. One is mainly for margaritas. The other serves everything. The pool is nice. One big pool plus a smaller one and one for kids. This is a family resort. The beach has nice sand. You can walk quite a distance on very fine soft or packed sand. Swimming is not the best here as the water gets deep in a hurry. The hotel is at a VERY good location. There are stores on the same block of you can walk to the Malecon in 15 minutes (6 blocks). The Malecon is worth visiting. The food is average. After a week, you tire of it. The security at the hotel is very good. They supervise carefully. The biggest letdown was the entertainment. It is not up to par. I was expecting more. One of the experiences you will have here or anywhere in PV is a faceoff with a time share agent. Be prepared. Be tough. Be ready to say no firmly.
