Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Sandos Caracol Eco Resort - very good

The hotel is very nice, and the eco-friendly features are a plus. On the minus side, 1) always big lineups at the reception and long waiting times (we waited a bit over 1 hour to check in) 2) killer mosquitos in the evening but there are mosquito repellent dispensers free to use throughout the resort. But other than these, no complaints, everything was excellent. Pools, wild life, bike trail on which you can run too, food, friendly staff, clean amenities and rooms. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: WARNING!! Mexico is DANGEROUS!

I travelled with my 22 yr old daughter to Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda from Dec.24-29. On our second last day she was drugged and taken from our room in the middle of the night! I woke up and she was gone. I believe hotel security tried to cover it up and offered no help. The USA government has posted warning for tourists but the Canadian Government has not. Trip Advisor removes posted reviews that reflect any of the tainted alcohol and drugging incidents. Stay safe and avoid this count [... read more]ry! The drug cartels run the country and law enforcement, so you have no protection. We were lucky and made it out alive and now how safe. I will never travel to Mexico again.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Amazing place!

Needs to up date the rooms and the grounds! It has been well used! Need to add a bar over at the quiet pool and more bathrooms! More help at the out door restaurant staff very pleasant and helpful! Need more rides to hotels had to wait for everyone to get to the van and they the driver packed the very tight.. we where over 3 hours before getting to hotel!

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Amazing Reaort / Bad food

This Reaort was amazing and beautiful but the food was terrible and there service for preferred was also terrible... would not go back to this resort and paid 12.000.00 for this trip was a waste of money.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: It was AMAZING!!!!!

The people, the service, the amenities, the food, the drinks everything was incredible.You really got to experience the 5-star treatment and felt like royalty. I will definitely be planning a return trip soon I hope...

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Terrible service

Starting at the airport: Disgusting timeshare vultures that tour company should help passengers get past. We were told to walk past and go outside but almost impossible to do without getting grabbed. Airtransat should have representatives to get you through this for the amount of money paid to them. At the resort: at check in given no towel cards and again a time share vulture waiting beside you to "give you information about the resort". You have to be rude and awful to them to leave you alone  [... read more]and get on with your vacation. The information given was "log onto the the travel club chat room to request a la carte reservations". No way was I giving my name and room number to be hassled more. Our room never had AC.. We slept with the screen door open to get cool. It was hit and miss to get clean towels and facecloths in the room and the correct amount. A la carte restaurants a complete joke. If they didn't outright say they were booked from 6 pm they would tell you to come back in 30 min and check in This would go on for over 2 hours. At one restaurant people were arguing with seating people as many of us waiting for over 2 hours with no results and restaurant empty. As we were standing there 4 people walked in and just sat down. Terrible. One al la carte was never open all week we were there. The buffet restaurant good food but terrible service. There was no water, juice or anything available for you to get yourself, it was all brought to you, if you were lucky. Three of us would sit and they would only bring 1 glass of water and refill only 1 at a time. ?? no sense. Even tipping didn't seem to help. VERY upsetting with the restaurants and service. It would be different if we only paid less than $1000 but when you pay premium money it's like your treated as a joke. Do they really have that many in the travel club that no one else matters? Maybe don't promote and lose your business as not worth wasting good money on. The resort itself was very clean and bathrooms always clean and decent which is very positive. Still lots of saving beach chairs and never seeing anyone in them most of the day. As for the honeymoon perks...JOKE again. There were no perks at all for the honeymoon couple.. They got no more than we did, travel club crap and a book or coupons to get you to spend more money. Also for the Christmas eve supper when enquiring about reservations for supper as trying to feed everyone at hotel there was none. No body was concerned at all. Of course it was a total gong show and we barely got a glass of water let alone anything else.

Barcelo Karmina: Great stay

Beautiful resort, good food, friendly and attentive staff. Our first time in Mexico were not sure what to expect, but were delighted with our stay. We will return in the very near future, thank you for a wonderful week.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Excellent Resort!

Nice all inclusive resort with excellent service and amenities. - Kids club for ages 4 and above: the staff was very reliable and the kids enjoyed it tremendously with both indoor and outdoor activities! - weather was great - splash pad and pool were excellent - buffet was pretty extensive. However, need to provide more options for vegetarians and vegans.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing resort but terrible food

Resort facilities are nice. Workers do smile and responsive to visitors requests. Good kids club. Good shows. Good water park. However terrible food. Lacks variety and vegetarian options are a joke. If you don’t eat meat, get ready to feel starved.

Sunwing was great english. others not so good... Just wanna say that this is my first time ever going away for Christmas in 30 years . The one thing that really upset me was when I was trying to check out and leave. I did a "50 min" spa which i was told it was 70$ CDN that was to be charged to my room. ( which I thought would of been to my visa I used to book the trip. ) when i went to check out, they told me i had to pay in cash or i wasn't able to check out and be boarded on the bus b [... read more]ack to the airport. I didn't have cash on me, forced me to use a ATM, $6 sur charge fee just to use it. then when i went to go pay my 70$ bill, for some reason it came out to be 85$ CDN, and when i gave a 100$ CDN bill, they gave me back PESOS and told me tough luck, here's your check out papers, and be on my way pretty much. I would not recommend this place to someone whose looking for stress free vacation.. and for what i paid to go on this trip... you think i would have gotten a little better service.

Catalonia Yucatan: Very Relaxing Resort!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Catalonia Mayan Riviera. I had a fantastic oceanfront room with 3 balconies (incredible!) and I could not have been more comfortable. They kept my room stocked with bottled water and soft drinks, etc. so after a day outside, always came back to a clean and well-serviced room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating at all the restaurants, bars and spa locations. There was great variety at all the restaurants and good food as well. Selection Riviera Cancun: Best all inclusive ever!no

Friendly, accommodation acting staff. Every meal was like a work of art. Tastes and chooses excellent. The room was emasculate and fridge was consistently stocked. If there were more than 5 stars, they would get it. THe best part was the care and expertise given by Deb O Donnel of Trip Central.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Gorgeous

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've been too. Excellent food and very friendly staff. I will definitely go back. Awesome pools. Al a carte was divine. Catering made us feel like royalty. Access to the bus to go into town was easy. Room service was top notch

Riu Santa Fe: Lower your expectations

Unfortunately, we paid good money and went in ready to spend more. There was mould on the walls and ceilings and no one seemed to care. The furniture was older and well used, the ceilings and walls had cracks in them and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Overall it was a big let down. It was safe and fairly quiet, but definitely not worth the money we paid. The food was decent but repetitive. Unfortunately I doubt that we will ever be back.

Tropicana Hotel: Poor excuse for a resort hotel

We paid extra for a superior room. The only superior part may have been a decent view. When we arrived we asked what the room was and requested a different one that we could at least make some of our own meals in. We were told they had no such rooms. A week later we ran into a couple that had a full kitchenette although they hadn’t asked for it and they couldn’t switch either. We asked 3 times for it to be fixed but never was in the 2 weeks we stayed there. The cleaning staff were very good. That’s one positive. The front desk people couldn’t care at all about their guests. Even upon checkout never inquired how our stay was or hoped to see us again which they never will. I wouldn’t recommend the Tropicana to people I don’t like let alone a friend.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: 3rd Time's Still a Charm!

Our family of six (all adults) travelled from Regina, Canada to the Grand Palladium Vallarta December 14 to 21, 2017 for a pre-Christmas holiday. We all booked through TripCentral. It was Sunquest tour on a Westjet plane. We like to book the Sunquest better than the Westjet tour because the wait at the airport for your transportation is much less. This was our 3rd time here. We love it here and will be back for a 4th. Now that the Royal Suites side has opened up to everyone, we spent all our day [... read more]s at that pool. Had the most amazing waiters, HERIBERTO and CARLOS. They treated us like family and we wanted to take them home with us. Four of us upgraded to the Royal Suites, so I think that got us more perks, plus much larger rooms. I love all the stairs. Being up on the cliffs gives the resort a lot of character and helps to wear off all the food and drink, not mention the beautiful views from up there. The drinks are NOT watered down. We really enjoyed the different cocktails at the Royal pool bar. The bartender there (can’t remember his name) made the best Cielo Rojo’s in the whole resort – thank you. Food was good as usual. Our favorite a la carte was the Ribs and More restaurant. They have the best BBQ sauce on their ribs. Had no problem booking a la carte’s, just went to the desk in the hallway at the front lobby and they helped us out. The app did not work for us. If you are in line at an a la carte by 5:30 you get in when they open anyway, at least we did. Found the WiFi to be fine, never had a problem, except it would not load the Palladium app. Took advantage of booking the spa for an 80 minute massage. It was wonderful as usual. Our daughter was sick for a few days, but she forgot to not use the tap water for anything except showering. Use bottled water even for brushing your teeth. Have no complaints, except maybe the pool was too warm, LOL, not really a complaint. You are in one of the most amazingly beautiful, friendly places, with great food and drinks. if you treat these beautiful people the way you like to be treated, you will have no reason to be unhappy. Barcelo Karmina: Excellent Resort

No line up, no waiting !Our suite was waiting, Beautiful,5 th Floor,balcony overlooking well kept grounds,beautiful polls and terrific view of the ocean.In minutes we were in swimwear,lounging at an adult pool, with a cold drink of our choice,delivered by the excellent pool service. No need to line up for 2 of our 3 a la carte suppers. Reservations were in our welcome package. Our first a la carte was the Kyoto, Japanese. The open air,and ocean setting is very special. The Barceló treated us to a Christmas Eve Buffet and stage entertainment. This was beautifully set up on the grounds. The food selection was truly exceptional. Turkey, Barbequed steak, shrimp cocktails and so many-many- other dishes and choices !! We loved the Italian , Capri, perhaps the best. The a la carta was good food and excellent service, but their breakfasts and lunches were the very best. The friendliness and service we will never forget. The breakfast grill cook made your morning. Her smile, and knowing what our order was and how we liked it cooked was terrific. The staff all so friendly, and again excellent service. We so much enjoyed the extended a la carte lunches, of excellent "specials"from the menu, superior service and great view ! Our maid service was very good. She maid us feel very special with a floral flower heart decorating our bed and a hand written Feliz Navidad Christmas Eve. Our only bad experience was the Bugambilias Resturant. We were assigned a table and upon returning with our food found our table was taken. We immediately took another nearby table that was not set up. We were told we could not sit there , and moved to a table that was not set up. No glasses or linen. No service.After some time we were able to flag down a waiter, and ask for water and wine. Finally water came but never wine !! Oh well guess we can't expect perfection !!! The Mexican Show was very entertaining and well done.

Beautiful beach, great pools, lots of a la carts, yummy food, very clean rooms. Servers are amazing and the whole resort staff are very accommodating and nice. Will come back again! 10/10 would recommend

The hotel is clean and huge. Though you have to walk a lot if you are in bloque 6 to go to eat or to the beach. The food is amazing. The best A la carte restaurant was the Rodizio with more than 7 kind of baked meat. The beach is wavy but enjoyable. The staff is really friendly. The best thing we enjoyed were the night shows.
