Once you enter, be very happy if your light works. The lamps on the nightstands might even work too, if you’re really lucky. Apparently, some of the rooms are even equipped with a floor lamp! You know you’ve hit the jackpot then. Before you look at the shower, lower your expectations. Then lower them a bit more. Did you bring some flip-flops? I’d suggest wearing them in there. Yikes. The shower curtain looks like it’s been there since back when shower curtains were a thing. If you arrive in the afternoon, you’ll be waiting until after 6pm to get anything to eat. Bring food. Once the buffet opens, you and all the birds in the area will enjoy some Saran wrap covered food that you may have to uncover yourself. Underwhelming doesn’t even begin to describe the buffet. Tomorrow, if you want to fight with the wifi at 8am, you might be able to get a reservation at one of the a la carte places. I wish you luck. Otherwise, line up with 50 other people at 7:30am. There are pools. And lounge chairs. If you want one, you’ll have to get up at 6am and go get one. They don’t skim the pools during the day.. ‘nuff said. The beach is nice. The sand is fine. If you like to run on the beach, take a week off. The angle down to the water is pretty steep. On the way back up to the resort, you can try your best to wash your feet at the shower station. One of them almost works! In short, if you pay more than $900/wk per person, Wyndham is seriously tipping you off. A few days in, and I was envying the people heading to the airport to go home.

Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club: Amazing resort

Nice food, all restaurants available for walk ins, accommodating staffs and beautiful rooms. Location is a bit far but the casa zamna area is great with lively bars and shops just outside of the hotel.

The architecture is beautiful, blending modern elegance with traditional Mexican flair, creating a tranquil and luxurious atmosphere throughout the property. The resort is a stunning backdrop for any special occasion, but it's the combination of exceptional service, exquisite dining, fantastic snorkeling right at the resort beach and incredible natural beauty that truly sets it apart. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. The dining experience was flawless-the atmosphere was intimate, the food was exquisite, and the servers were incredibly and consistently thoughtful….whether we tipped them or not. For us, the absolute highlight was the access to some of the best snorkeling in Los Cabos! The water was crystal clear, and we spent hours exploring the vibrant underwater world. We saw sooo many colourful fish and plenty of schools of fish too, as well as sea turtles and beautiful coral formations. We are also scuba divers and normally only see such vibrance when we are diving. If you are looking for the perfect blend of romance, fun and adventure for your next milestone celebration, this is the place! This was the first spa I’ve ever tried out so I have nothing to compare it to but I absolutely loved it! I do get massages on a regular basis at home so I know what a good massage is like and my massage at this spa was spot on perfect! The rest of the spa facility provided a serene escape for a much-needed few hours of relaxation. On the day before we were to leave, when we got back from diving, Alesha (I think she is one of the resort managers) called our room to talk to me about an issue we had when we first arrived. Her timing was perfect as she was saying that she had somehow been having a hard time getting in contact with us. She was able to arrange a wonderful complementary dinner for the 4 of us at La Bodega as compensation for the issue. This was perfect as we hadn’t tried this restaurant yet and hadn’t planned on it as it was the only restaurant on the resort that was $$$$ extra charge and was the only place we could get lobster (a favorite for 3 of us). The food was fantastic and all the staff were really wonderful to us! They really made us feel special as we celebrated our anniversaries. Then to top things off, there was a lovely romantic gesture waiting for us in our rooms that night (bottle of champagne chilling in a bucket of ice and plate of chocolate covered strawberries). We can’t help but mention how clean and tidy this resort was. In particular the cleaning staff for our rooms were the best we have ever had! They not only cleaned but kept our stuff neat and tidy…they even folded our clothes if we left anything out on the floor or on the bed or furniture…and no, they weren’t tip motivated as we didn’t leave a tip for them till the end. We would like to extend our heart felt gratitude and appreciation for the excellent service and hospitality from all members of the Grand Fiesta Americana resort. Literally all the staff members that we interacted with were very attentive to all of us. Also we would like to extend a job well done to the restaurant manager (Richard) and all his restaurant staff. This has been the best restaurant experience from all our historical resort experiences. Congrats on the excellent service and attention to detail. While we were checking out, the Operations Manager, Martin Flores, came over to us at the front desk to extend his apologies for a rough start but that he hoped things ended on a positive note and they certainly did! The issue at the start of our stay wasn’t really that big of an issue but the fact that they wanted to make things right regardless of the size of the issue spoke volumes. We look forward to returning next year!

Riu Palace Kukulkan: Great resort

Resort was perfect,nice and compact,not overcrowded, food was amazing,especially the Gourmet and Steakhouse. The beach was clean and the water was clear and warm,a little choppy when we got there but was great after a few days,pools were great and no problem getting loungers at all,lastly,the people were amazing from the bartenders to the servers,highly recommend this resort!!!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Fun resort for kids but comes with food poisoning

The hotel had a lot to see and do. It’s really great if you have children. However, 5 out of the 10 people in our group experienced food poisoning and because of that we wouldn’t return. Also, our room phone was called numerous times by hotel staff trying to sell us something at 9am. I had to unplug our phone mid trip. The housecleaning person also would knock on our door at 9am. Breathless Cancun Soul: Breathless cancun

This was our second visit to this resort The main difference was there was a very different clientele, mostly guests original headed to Jamaica. We were in the Exhale wing and for three nights we had fighting foul mouth females We don't feel that the front desk personal should be asked to rectify this very volatile situation This happened from 2am each morning. Very annoying to say the least

Villa del Palmar Beach Resort: A perfect vacation

We enjoyed everything. Fantastic staff! Every one a gem. We enjoyed almost every meal. Loved the pools. Checking in and out seemless. Didn’t like the timeshare push but shut that down quickly. Would stay again.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Valentin Experience

This resort has much to be happy about. The staff are friendly and work hard to make our stay memorable. There are many ala cart restaurants that serve a variety of different gourmet meals. Such as French, Mexican, Asian, Italian, etc. We were delighted with the natural tropical settings. Don't be surprised if you see a few animals wandering around the site. Our room was well appointed and keep clean. We used the smaller pool as the larger one was crowded and very noisy. We wished for a buffet f [... read more]or supper when we did not want the a la cart. It's a large site if walking is your exercise choice. There is a coffee bar which is a nice addition. Get your lattes and ice cream there.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort

Friendly staff, excellent food and very clean. The only issue is people placing towels on chairs to reserve their spots on the beach and at pools and not being there most of the day. The a-la-carte restaurants were very good however unless you arrived early because it was open with no reservation required you could wait 1 to 2 hours with a buzzer.

Ocean Maya Royale: Mobility Issues

Food and staff were very good. Rooms were clean, bathrooms were newly renovated. The only issue was the shower tiles were a slip hazard, there were no bars to hand onto. The grounds were nicely kept. Lots of wildlife. For me personally, I have a mobility issue that I can’t walk up or stairs without hanging on to a railing. There 5 steps higher than normal to get into my ground floor room. There was no railing, so I had to have help every time I went up or down. There were steps and very st [... read more]eep ramps going to the pool area, again, no railings. Had to have help. If anyone has mobility issues, this is not the Resort to go to. We will never go back, this being the worst vacation.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Love coming back

Stayed here once again for the 4th time, and we really do think that this resort could be the best overall value on the Mayan Riviera. A Junior Deluxe Swimout room here was the same price as non-swimout rooms at other 4.5 star resorts, and the room layout and swimout pool design are perfect. Buffet for breakfast was consistently good, and the a la cartes were more than adequate. Being able to eat at the sister resorts’ restaurants is a nice privilege as well. Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres: We needed this vacation

Great vacation at Secrets Playa Blanca. It’s a veritable jungle with all of the palm trees and foliage giving the resort a true sense of privacy and remoteness. The Seaside and Oceana restaurants and wonderful. Coco Cafe delivers for the win with phenomenal service of hot and cold beverages and pastries, sandwiches, small nibbles and ice cream - lovely ambiance. Large beach with ample walking opportunities to the south and north.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya: Nice resort, but no beach!

Overall the resort is very nice, rooms are clean and modern. Almost all rooms will have a partial ocean view with the rooms either facing the sunrise or sunset. The food is decent - the breakfast buffet left a little bit to be desired, much few options then other resorts with things like bacon being behind the counter being limited by the egg chef. The Landshark brewery being onsite is a nice touch, the lunches were excellent as was the draught beer. The pool area was very nice, with the ser [... read more]vice around the pool being one of the best I've had - wait staff were very attentive. No cards required for pool towels and you could take as many as you'd like. Entertainment was daily - there are many options to either be in the party atmosphere or within a more tranquil spot as the pool area is expansive. There is currently no beach, and the ocean water is currently a black sludge - we aren't big beach people so it didn't bother us, but were heard many folks from Europe complaining as they were unaware that there was no beach at the resort. With so many options I would be hard pressed to go back again until the beach situation is sorted.

Allegro Playacar: Great Resort

The resort was the perfect size and very clean..the beach was amazing, nice white sand and lots of loungers...Pool was great too. Food and drinks were fabulous...the animation staff and bartending staff we also good. There is a lot of critters running around but that was ok too. We had a tough time getting alacarte restaurants but managed 2 in the week we were there. My only problems was i had booked 2 months in advance and we were a group of 6 women and requested our rooms be together. We  [... read more]were split up into 3 different buildings and not even close together...i even emailed the resort before we went to tell them my booking number and my request...my travel agent also sent the request in...i dont understand why when 6 people all book together on the same booking they cannot put us together...front desk staff was absolutely no help and downright rude...but, we still had a fabulous time

Riu Emerald Bay: Great deal

We got an awesome deal for one week The hotel was great. Very big. Lots of dinning options. Rooms were dated but ok. The Riu app was not very user friendly. Difficult booking ala carte. Had to log in at 7:00 am to book for the same evening. Restaurants were booked yet when we did go to the Italian when we finally got a reservation it was more than half empty. Grounds were clean. I liked the roped off area on the beach so you were not bothered by all the salespeople. Entertainment in the even [... read more]ings were not the greatest. The instrumental was drowning out the vocals. The “ battle of the bands” on the beach was very annoying. We moved to the far side of the beach so we didn’t have it blaring in our ears!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Tripcentral let me down

The resort/service/location/transportation were all outstanding. We enjoyed our trip immensely. However, the process of making dinning reservations was never explained or highlighted to us. We were unable to make a single reservation at one of the many dinning options after we arrived. Completely booked for the entire week. Although the buffet was quite nice we feel we missed out on so much We feel Tripcentral agents should have advised, no STRESSED to us, the ability and importance of [... read more] making reservations in advance.

Haven Riviera Cancun: Great Resort

The grounds were amazing, our maid went out of her way to insure all of our needs were met each and every day. The food I would say was better than other all inclusive that we have been too before. Our butler Adrian was nice but needs more coaching and needs to be informed about all details especially about aircanada transportation because he didn’t know anything. He tried but he didn’t know how we were going to get back to the airport but my husband went to the Conceige desk and the information [... read more] was there. The only negative thing we noticed after we got home was that all our belongings smelled very damp and musty. The room was very damp maybe because we had a swim out room. This would not stop us from going back here again. Wonderful facility.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Fantastic Trip

The hotel was amazing. Rooms were spacious. Grounds were kept in excellent condition. Food was great, especially the a la carts. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of space for chairs at the pools and beaches

Allegro Playacar: Amazing resort

The rooms and the grounds were very well kept. The beach was beautiful. Amazing staff The only problem was not getting rooms together the manager that night we arrived was very rude to us. I would definitely go back to this resort.
