Grand Decameron Panama: Great vacation!

My wife and I visited the resort in late May. Overall, my wife and I had a great stay. I'll try to summarize what we found at the resort. Pros: - Beautiful beach, never overly busy (no issues finding loungers etc). There was a bit of a current and the waves could get a bit larger at times, but nothing compared to other resorts we've been to. It was quite possible to swim in the ocean. - Peddlers will pass by on the beach but never harassed us - Beautiful pools, well maintained. Lifeguards on du [... read more]ty, plenty of loungers, and the adult only pool has a swim up bar. - Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from - Excellent service at the bars with a great frozen drink selection and excellent coffee at the bar by lobby 1 - Decent shows for night time entertainment (well choreographed performances most nights) - Beachfront room was close to everything - definitely recommend this if you want to avoid the walk up/down the hill and to be only a few minutes from restaurants/bars/entertainment - A la carte restaurants were generally excellent. Seafood was fantastic (especially calamari) but beef tended to be tough - Room was kept very clean by housekeeping Cons: - Language barrier. The resort is geared mostly towards local tourists (ie. Panama, Columbia). Many of the staff didn't speak any English. We were fine getting by with the Spanish we knew, but for anyone that doesn't speak any Spanish, the language barrier could cause issues. - Buffet wasn't the best. It wasn't terrible and we could always find something to eat, but there often wasn't a lot of selection and again it was geared towards the locals. - Trip to the resort is a bit long. It's roughly a 2 hour bus ride and although they try to give you a tour as you go, it gets a little long by the end. The airport right by the resort should be opening soon though so that will take care of this issue. - Entertainment was decent, but it's setup in an amphitheater style (tiers of concrete) for sitting so it takes its toll on you after sitting there for the duration of the show! - Fridge cost extra in the rooms if you wanted one, and if was more if you wanted it stocked with things (we've been to other resorts in the Caribbean that will at least provide you with pop/cold water in the rooms). There were however bottles of water available in the room still Overall, it was a great experience and we'd recommend it for sure. The price was similar to that of the average Cuban resort, but the food and quality was much better than what we've experienced in Cuba.

Royal Decameron Salinitas: Great resort

Grounds very well kept. Great staff. Fantastic weather. LONG trip from airport. We had a fantastic view from room. No complaints would go again if not such a long flight and bus ride to airport. Food was decent. Drinks great.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: AWESOME RESORT!!

Loved the resort! Nice and clean and pretty looking. Staff was so friendly and fun! Pools were clean and fresh. Food was great. Lots to do. Rooms were up to date and super clean. Staff took care of them daily. Loved having a safe in my room.

Grand Decameron Panama: less than before

The room were not that clean. But the public areas were great. We appreciated the restaurant, the food as well as the staff. It was our 3rd time there and it was not the best of it. Some areas were closed for clean in the week but we were there !!!

Grand Decameron Panama: Great weather for winter time

The grounds and hotel were well kept. The pools and beach were amazing. I love the fact that in January the heat was a consistent plus 30. Much warmer than Cuba at that time of year. I enjoyed the hotel and would recommend it but a few things to note: The food was ok but not great. The airport is a long distance from the resort so be prepared for a long ride. Grand Decameron Panama: Great get away!

We had a great time at the Decameron Golf and Beach resort. We played golf everyday but one. And went to the beach every day too. The transportation from the villas to the restaurants and beach was very efficient, and always available. The food was very good and well thought out. All the employees at the resort were very genuine interesting honest nice people. We met many lovely people there and will remember the vacation we had there for a long time to come. Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Amazing beautiful resort!!!

I travelled here with my hubby .... January 18 - 25th. I won it through our local radio station! What a great place to win a trip!!! So much variety to see and do and just relax. This resort was awesome. Smaller intimate resort, very easy to find your way around. At Check In...welcome drinks... after a long day...someone took our luggage and showed us to our room. Nice touch. All the resort areas were new and beautiful. Only about 3 vendors on our beach, were not a bother at all. Beautiful very long beach , we walked it every morning. Walk about 20 minutes down one end and you will come upon Zippers Restaurant, and a cold corona waiting for you. Loved it, popular spot. It is a shame though that this beautiful beach is basically unswimmable due to undertows... if you keep walking the beach there is areas where people do enter the water with caution...which we did. Pools were awesome, heated... which was very nice, and all pools had swim up bars Loved the pool on the upper level, where you could be having a drink and watching whales, this is also the quieter pool, when you are wanting that. The 2 other main pools on lower level had fun entertainment going on during some times of the day. Buffet was excellent..loved all the food, no sickness what so ever! Snack bar near main pools had really yummy burgers nachos mozza sticks hotdogs pizza tacos wings...yummy!!! Main center bar/entertainment area had a fire pit and heat lamps all around, with comfy round couches, very nice to sit by at night while watching the variety of entertainment. One night they had a rock band, it was great, a real party. Room was super nice, plush new beds, tons of plush pillows and duvet... never had that luxury at any other resort. And towels replenished constantly and again plush and soft. Free safe in room and plenty of space and closets/drawers. Free wi-fi ... and I had no problem accessing it during my stay. Room cleaned regularly every day, fridge stocked, our maid was very nice, we had a main floor with patio... steps from the main entertainment/bar and the pools, perfect! 1 a la carte, went for welcome and farewell party with our group..I liked the buffet food better but just my opinion...many enjoyed the food at a la carte. All drinks were great and loved their beer, dark or light. Was told over and over again how very safe Los Cabos is...we walked a few nights after dark down the strip past all the resorts and stumbled upon nice cafes/bars/restaurants/shops...enjoyed getting out there exploring..never felt comfortable with just the 2 of us doing that anywhere else we have travelled. Resort is very close to San Jose del Cabo... bus or cab...very cheap or about half hour walk in ... we went a few times...nice little town...nice souvenir shops...and bars/restaurants galore...we went to Shooters Sports Bar there...loved it...even went in town a second time and went again...sit at the bar ... you will get to know the owners..Canadian family...very nice people...we loved this place...and cheap cheap beer/food....music and tv's all over for sport watching...highly recommend going there ... fun times! Can cab or bus into Cabos San Lucas...again we went a few times...a must place to visit ... more busy than San Jose...lots to see and do ... have to visit Cabo Wabo Cantina while there and take advantage of all the excursions out of the Marina. Lover's Beach ... a must do... so beautiful for swimming as well as the famous Arch...pics do it no justice...see it in person. Take advantage of free admission for Royal Decameron guests to watch dolphins at the Dolphin Discovery right across street from resort. Best touch of all ... the night we were all in the lobby waiting to leave by bus to airport..late flight....entertainment staff guys came around giving some of us hugs goodbye, joking with each of us, very nice touch, so sincere, stands out with me ... thank you to them...they were the best.... I have never experienced that at any other resort ... made a hard time leaving a little easier! I agree this is a solid 4 star and I would even give it a 4.5/5 star! Will definitely do a repeat of this vacation again in the future. Grand Decameron Los Cabos: fun resort

staff where very friendly ,rooms very nice ,pool was wonderful very nice location it also was a very safe place to visit it was close to the town and our visit to the habour as great could have spent more then a week there

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Service was very poor. Not attentive. Had to wait

Had to wait to be served for lunch and had to wait 30 minutes or more for the food to arrive Staff did not understand English not enough choice at the buffet. Very meagre in terms of amount of food. No variety. The same thing everyday.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Don't go there

The food selection was limited and very plain, the boozes was the cheapest brands made and the service was poor, they checked us into the wrong type of room, which had not even been cleaned yet, we will not be back there

Decameron Baru Beach Resort and Spa: Terrible service

Bathroom had mildew and no light. I guess they didn't want u to see how disgusting it was and the shower drain was not working properly . The grounds were ok but some cracks on walkways and every uneven stairs , accidents just waiting to happen. But what made the stay worse was the the lack of interest to serve the guest in the buffet and bar areas. We are great tippers but this people could care less even after giving tips. We would order coffee every morning and it would take a good 10-15 min  [... read more]for them to remember you had ask them for coffee. Food :not a lot of selection and almost like they couldn't afford to replenish it or at times too lazy to go to the back and get your request. Breakfast lines to order eggs were ridiculous long and there was one day they ran out of eggs and had to Wait 30min for the eggs to arrive. Poor poor service !!

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Nice resort

Not great for families, Pretty good good, nice sized resort and wonderful, fun staff:) great price for Los Cabos. Inappropriate behavior at the hotel, which should not have been tolerated. Entire resort was talking about select few individuals which made parts of many people's trip awkward or uncomfortable.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Exceeded our expectations!

From the time we walked into the resort we received excellent service! Our room and view were spectacular. The amenities from the activities to the dining were great! This resort exceeded our expectations!

very good service, clean ,good beach and great food. the adult only pool is such a great idea.internet service could be improved somewhat. but overall a great resort and we will definetly return someday.

This was our 6th time at the Royal Decameron Puerto Vallarta. The beach is beautiful and you can walk for miles, including to the little village of Bucerias. The grounds are well kept and the staff work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are pretty basic but very clean. Each room has its own private balcony. The food was great. we returned for our fourth visit this may and enjoyed it as always. many of the staff have become familiar and always welcome us back, "welcome to your second home ! ". the very clean, if spartan, rooms are comfortable. we request the 'block' closest to the adult pool. the variety of fresh fruits and other food is definitely a draw. kms of clean, safe beach to walk. lots of activities to keep you as busy as you want, or multiple pools to lounge around. the grounds are kept well too. nice mix of  [... read more]mainly mexican & canadian guests. you are well taken care of, picked up from airport & dropped off (nolitours). this all-inclusive is a "no-brainer", i don't think you can find a better deal and such genuinely friendly staff. gracias !

Not one bad thing to say about this resort...Best trip I've had...Amazing organization from noli tours for activities and orientation...Beautiful resort, well maintained...Food was great...Nice place for golfers

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: use to be my favorite place in the world

I have been going to this resort for 8 years, And up until this trip it was like going home I loved it , However alot of staff has changed and things are not what they use too be .I felt like a stranger the front desk staff was rude The entertainment staff was lacking that vibe that I have come to love of this resort.This resort was never a 5 star but in all my other reviews I rated it at leadt a 4 or more because what it lacked in size or beach or food the staff allways made those things seem u [... read more]nimportant because you were made to feel like family and there was allways good vibes .Im very sad to have to say that im unhappy with this last trip.I really hope they pull it together.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Wonderful

The resort was small beautiful ,clean, secure and very good entertainment. The food was great. There are many lounging area for quiet reading. We enjoyed everyday. There is shopping close by with everything that you can need.

Decameron Baru Beach Resort and Spa: Beautiful scenery and ocean setting!

This was a beautiful resort..off the beaten path..your own secluded paradise! Very well kept and clean..very spacious rooms. .The ocean was spectacular! We took the tour into cartagena which was amazing..so much to see and explore
