Riu Reggae: Fun atmosphere!
This was a great budget friendly resort. The pools were well maintained, beach beautifully manicured and the grounds spotless. The resort itself was very clean—albeit a bit outdated. Staff were fabulous and very helpful. Drinks were made with generous servings of alcohol. The food was hit and miss and lacked variety. A lot of times the food was fairly bland/boring. Would describe this resort as being a four star versus a five as it lacks the amenities, consistency and upgrades of a five star.
Riu Emerald Bay: Riu Emerald Bay Mazatlan
Beautiful resort, rooms with pool and ocean view rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. This Resort caters to all age groups. Never any problem finding loungers around pool or the beach. CON: Did not enjoy the food. Majority of tourists were Mexican, so food really was catered in their favour, which is fine if you enjoy that. Overall, an awesome resort.
Riu Emerald Bay: Down hill
This our fourth time to Riu Emerald Bay and will probably be our last unless the price is way under 1000$. We where their pre covid and was a good resort, and this our first time going in Dec. Always went in the spring but this time of year there was way to many locals and was really busy food was all repetitive never used to be, starting to show its age abit as well
Riu Republica: Party resort
Couple - mid 40’s —Party resort —The resort is ok. The grounds are beautiful. The staff are great and work very hard. No issues at all. Food- lot’s of variety, great beach, lots of chairs. HOWEVER—- this is where the review is not good. It’s mostly for 20-30 year old people who love to party to hip hop music. One night we were awakened at 2am by blaring hip hop from one of the rooms. Lasted till after 3am with security being involved. Absolutely no consideration for other people. [... read more]
Riu Palace Costa Rica: Mediocre
At first entrance to the room we where hit with a strong mold smell. The sink leaked creating a puddle the exhaust fan did not work there were broken glass cubes in the shower . The worst was how far it was to the washroom form the pool area letting everybody know people are so peeing in the pools. However most of the staff was amazing very friendly and always willing to help.
Riu Palace Peninsula: Amazing
How do I start we’ll arrive at this amazing hotel was so welcoming the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive to our needs our week was super fun food wow so delicious we heard a lot of negative before traveling but was all wrong I would return to back to the riu palace peninsula without a question is way over the top we got a upgrade without asking 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
Riu Palace Costa Rica: Amazing resort
The Riu Palace is one of the best resorts we have stayed in. We staying in this Riu for a couple of weeks. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. Staff were constantly grooming the grounds, thus it was always clean. The pools were spacious and warm. There was always water activities going on. Best was the Suds pool party on Wednesdays. The staff were great and very amicable. Food was excellent, especially the buffets. I have never seen buffets this large with a selection to meet all tas [... read more]
Riu Palace Aruba: Excellent resort. Clean and friendly
We had an excellent time. We will go again, but will stay 2 weeks next time. Very safe island. We had to complete a health app regarding covid 19. Very little masks were worn.Weather was beautiful the whole time.
Riu Palace Antillas: Awesome Aruba
Hotel was mid sized, Rooms were recently refurbished and perfect. We were in room 1004 and view of sunset was slightly obscured by construction next door. Staff amazing and received prompt service from front desk.
Riu Emerald Bay: Good enough getaway
This is a massive hotel with 1000 rooms so there are lots of people everywhere. Deck chairs are all crammed together. Lineups in buffets are basically always there. There is no "true" al a carte - this was disappointing. Even the al a carte has buffet sections. The food was ok but not great. We prefer quiet sit-down meals for dinner so we went off the resort for 4 nights for our own dinners. The elevators are absolutely awful. They take forever and they're tiny - sometimes waiting 15+ minutes as [... read more]
Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: A Little Bit of a Tired Resort but Super Friendly Staff
We were a family of 6 adults, 4 hadn't been to Riu Palace before but my husband and I have visited the resort a couple times, this being our 4th visit. Unfortunately, our previous visits were not acknowledged upon arrival. The resort is nice and has amazing views, probably one of the prettiest resorts we have ever visited. However, the rooms are a little tired, our pillows were at least 5 years old (lumpy and hard), the sinks in our bathroom were both cracked, the sofas were a bit worn, etc. [... read more]
Riu Emerald Bay: Excellent vacation resort
Riu Emerald Bay Mazatlan is a great place to for if you're looking to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Great staff, friendly people and quiet. Beautiful grounds, rooms are spacious and clean. Everyone was welcoming and helpful.
Riu Emerald Bay: Great Resort
This was our second time at this resort and we honestly have no complaints. The beach & pools are well maintained. There is a good variety of food for everyone's taste. The rooms are kept nice & clean and supplied with towels & soap etc. The only small thing is the wait for elevators even though there are 8 of them, but you are on vacation so what's the hurry.
Riu Playa Blanca: Very Busy Resort, good for young people or family with small kids
We were there in mid Nov, the resort was at its capacity. 90% of clients were local guests. The services, like towel, bar or beach chairs, were all good. Staff had done a great job to keep the place clean. Foods were good but the specialty restaurants were from the same central kitchen, I think, so nothing special there. Don't take it as a 5 star resort, just a 4 star. No swimming in the sea for me, the water was muddy and almost red flag every day anyways. Be prepared for the noise, lo [... read more]
Riu Flamingos: RIU JALISCO PTV MEXICO
THE HOTEL WAS NICE AS FAR AS HOTELS GO ,,, HOWEVER THEY HAVE ALOT OF THEIVES COMING IN UNDER THE RUES OF TOURISTS AND THEY SIT AROUND THE POOLS LOOKING FOR EASY TARGETS , DONT DRINK WITH THE LOCALS DONT LEAVE UR DRINKS OR CHILDREN UNATTENDED AND NEVER FLASH CASH ,, WE WATCHED 2 CANADIAN GUYS OVER INDULGING AT THE POOL BAR AND I RECOGNISED THE SCOPERS WATCHING THEM , I WARNED THEM I BELEIVED THEY WERE BEING SET UP , AND THEY SAID OH WERE BIG BOYS WERE OK ,LOLOL SURE THEY WERE ! DIDNT SEE THEM F [... read more]
Riu Negril: RIU Negril
This RIU resort is an excellent example of the RIU brand. It is over 20 years old, but looks like it is no more than 3 years old due to constant updates and maintenance. The management and all staff are positive and very polite, always willing to help and answer any questions. The grounds, beaches, pools and all buildings are kept clean and in great repair. This location is a bit of a drive from the airport, but is well worth the drive.Don’t pass up this resort I guarantee you won’t regret [... read more]
Riu Palace Pacifico: A beautiful and clean resort!
The Riu Palace Pacifico is a smaller resort so it's good for getting to the pool, beach and buffet easily. It's beautiful and very clean! lots of cleaning staff everywhere. The food was very good overall, seemed to be lots of choices and somewhat of a variety. We only ate at the steakhouse one night and the ribs were good (but just as good as at the buffet) and the chocolate cake was soooo rich and wonderful! Lots of fresh fruit, good drinks, great service everywhere. With the variety of seating [... read more]
Riu Palace Macao: Great Resort !!
This is my 5th time at this resort and really enjoy everything about it. The only thing is the air conditioning is terrible everytime i go. I always go to the front desk and they send somebody up to try and fix it and no results. Other then tgat the pool is great , staff is on top of things and i always enjoy the food. The grounds are well kept. I know there doing renivations in the new year and will looking forward to my next visit to tge Riu Macoa.
Riu Flamingos: So so resort
Grounds, public areas and rooms kept clean, this was our second time at this resort, they improved in some areas but for the most part it was the same as last year.the entertainment was not interesting, all in all the whole resort was way too loud for our liking. The food was bland and uninteresting.this resort may be more for the younger crowd not for older retirees.
Riu Palace Macao: Wonderful
Everything was great Rooms are a bit outdated Our internet on our tv stopped working halfway into our stay and nobody could fix it Although they gave it a good try Otherwise happy with everything I was really disappointed with Sunwing Airline Having to transfer to another terminal was a pain
