Canto Del Sol: Surprisingly impressed

We booked this resort thinking it would be good. It was, and more! The staff was friendly and helpful, everything was clean, the food and selection was excellent, and the drinks were cold! Very favorably impressed.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Fantastic Again - for my Birthday this time! Wouldn't spend it anywhere else

The hotel is awesome in every way because of it's "old charm" from the friendly and accommodating front desk staff, Management, bar tenders, restaurant staff and chamber maids. Can't wait to go back again. Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Location, location, location

Hotel is well appointed. Location is within a few minutes walk to the Malacon district. Beach is clean. Enjoyed my recent stay. Staff friendly and offer assitance in transportation needs and offering directions to sites.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Friendly Vallarta

This resort was great. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Rooms were well appointed, clean and well maintained. Food and beverage choices and quality were in keeping with the 4 star experience. The only frustration was trying to change currency and lost and found inquiry, had me running in circles.

Everything was great Great food, great service, clean rooms, very friendly staff. Loved the activities and live entertainment. This was my first time here and I would definitely come back and invite all my friends.

Friendly Vallarta is as its name depicts, staff are helpful and go out of their to accommodate the guests. There have been several changes, a designated smoking area on the beach, you are not to claim a lounge chair all day, and addition of restaurant as well as a snack bar. The hotel has an older customer base probably due to repeat stays. Entertainment is offered each night at the theatre which is a bonus if you do not want to go to town for night activities. Plaza Pelicanos Club: Good location

We enjoyed our two week stay. Very friendly staff, very clean resort, well maintained. Lots of fresh fruit, vegetables and fish on buffet. We liked the coffee and pastry lounge, played scrabble there each night. The lobby bar had hor dourves at 5pm. Very nice touch. This is a family resort but didnt feel crowded. For older ones there is an area around pool that was quieter. Location is excellent for walking to stores or mall, bus stop one block away. 10 pesos. Villa del Palmar Beach Resort: Good location

Upon arrival you never get a “ decent room. You have to argue for a decent room and always are moved around. Was told people on packages get the least desirable room. People who have timeshares get the best ones. You are inconvenienced for 2-3 days. The poorer rooms are not worth the money one pays.

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Great Resort!

Just returned from a 10-day stay at the Occidental Nuevo Vallarta. We loved the caring staff, availability of pool and beach chairs, clean rooms and hotel grounds (food served only in restaurants) and buffet food was enjoyable (could have had a bit more variety). Great nightly entertainment. We felt very welcome. We will not hesitate to return next year.

Krystal Puerto Vallarta: Disappointed

Nice beach, time share resort with a lot of emphasis on the time share people. Food was mediocre at best. No coffee pot, alarm clocks or storage for clothes in the Tower rooms. Hot water only 1 day. Ceiling fan in main buffet actually fell 20 feet almost hitting a guest while he was eating - very scary! Bar hours were not very good - 11am for the beach bar and 1 pm-11pm for the lobby bar. Close to shopping and easy bus ride to downtown. Wouldn’t recommend for the $ we spent.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Very chill resort

The lobby, grounds, facilities and room were all wonderful! The buffet had a full selection to satisfy the fussiest of eaters and the ala carte restaurants were a welcome treat. If there was any complaint it would be that it was almost impossible to book an ala carte before 8:30pm.

Riu Flamingos: Not what i was expecting from a Riu

Booked with Sunwing and what a mistake that was. The flight delayed three hours each way, but that’s obviously not the hotels fault. The hotel it’s self is very nice looking, the grounds are very clean and well kept, and the beach is amazing. The rooms are average, what you’d expect from a four star resort. The service and food on the other hand is not. Most of the dishes are cold, greasy and sometimes under cooked. I’ve stayed at a few different Riu locations and this one by far had the [... read more] worst food. Many times during the lunch and dinner buffet you’d have to take multiple trips around the buffet to find something to eat because the selection was not great. The service is also pretty spotty. The pool bars were great (aside from no pool side waitstaff), but the Lobby/main bar was horrendous. There were always long lines to get a drink at night and only one waitress coming around to tables that didn’t take drink orders for some reason and was only collecting empty glasses and shuffling around chairs. It wasn’t the worst place I’ve ever been to but it was a disappointing experience and definitely not what I was expecting from a four star Riu.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Very very clean

This hotel was very clean! Check-in was smooth and efficient! The buffet staff was extremely friendly and attentive to ones needs. Buffet was okay - always found something to eat! Salad bar never disappointed with variety. Bar service was good. The pools were always inviting. Beach was clean and always activities going on. Really liked how vendors set up each night.

Canto Del Sol: wonderful place

This resort is situated close to everything, the staff are hard working and friendly. My only negative review would be that guests reserve all the chairs around the pool so early you cannot get a place to relax, this also happens at the beach. Although there are signs posted you cannot do this it happened everyday. This resort is a little older but well taken care of, and most of the guests are repeat which says alot. Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Paradise in Riviera Nayarit

Once again a wonderful 2 weeks this is our 12th visit to Marival resort which is like our home away from home. The property is immaculate the food is plentiful and well presented The staff are very helpful and friendly Only negative is quality of wooden deck chairs on the beach.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: You need to be in good shape

Its a nice Place but would not go back again too many Stairs and had to change room because they could not fix AC unit and room in lower area the WIFI did not work well. we had the Air transit Imperial club package and only got turn down service tell we had to move rooms on day two of our trip

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Relaxing vacation

The hotel grounds were beautiful, well kept. There are beautiful views of the ocean from all over. Alcohol selections were superb. Great variety of food at buffets. A la carted good, Except with the first come first serve, it’s a bit difficult to plan your night if you have to wait hours for a table. Everything was very clean.

This was our second time going to the resort and we all loved it as much as the first time. Everything was great. The beach was beautiful, the rooms clean, the food was amazing and most of all the people that work at this resort are the most amazing people I have ever met.

The staff at this resort are helpful, happy and smiling all the time. Always asking if there is anything we want. The resort is beautiful with its architecture and greenery. The food is very tasty and plentiful. The drinks are cold and refreshing. The rooms are great and comfortable. I will definitely go back to this resort next year. They made us feel so welcome. Our new home away from home.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Beautiful 4 star resort

Clean. Friendly staff. Good service. Lots of fun activities to do. The food is good. Location is nice. Geared to Families and middle aged to older people. Close to airport and Marina. Short bus ride to town or 9 dollar taxi ride. Very safe area. Felt secure and safe.
