Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Memorable stay at Royalron Bavaro

My stay at the Royalton Bavaro was excellent from the first minute. We arrived at the hotel and the check in was seamless. We were able to be close to our family friends and immediately, we went for our breakfast and the vacation started. The rooms were great, food and drinks were everywhere and the service was great. Our butler, Manuel Delacruz made our stay memorable as he went above and beyond our expectations without hesitation. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: One of the best beaches in La Romana

We have just retuned from Dreams La Romana listed as an almost 5 star hotel from Preferred Club .It is not a 5 star hotel and the Preferred is not worth paying for especially if you are placed across the street in a different building with a noisy street in between the Dreams main resort which is almost a cute village crossed in the middle by a giant pool. Thank you first of all to our butler, a dedicated caring lovely Kiss who has done daily everything in her power to make our stay enjoyable.  [... read more]Thank you also to Maximo who was always there to help us with transportation back and forth to the preferred beach. You rock both. The resort is big enough and spread on a large area leading to a wonderful beach: clean, calm vawes, no seaweed. Communication in the resort is difficult as most people do not entirely understand or speak English or French. The food makes this resort a 3 star unfortunately with cold mushy food, minimal choices and no ice cream in buffets:3 days after returning home :we are still treating ourselves with digestive pills to get through the day. Thank you to animation team who did an amazing job and to our maid Rosa who has done an awesome job also keeping our room clean. We are beach lovers and didn't touch any pools but the sea. Rules in the A la carte restos make no sense especially that it is not a 5 star hotel with no 5 star services: wear sleeves on your shirt for dinner in the preferred patio, wear long pants and no open toe sandals in the French resto.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort

This resort was beautiful! The rooms were clean and spacious, the grounds were well maintained. The pool was beautiful, although crowded at times and availble lounges were difficult to find. The staff was very efficient, the variety and quality of drinks was excellent . There was a great choice of restaurants and most of the food was great.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Fabulous Resort

This hotel was beautiful. Everything top notch. Pools were so nice. Everything is modern, clean and very comfortable We ate at all the restaurants and we had no complaints. Never had to wait in line and didn’t have to wait in lines. Glad we upgraded to preferred. Our butler was amazing and very helpful

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Great value for money

This resort provides great value for the money. Sure it is not really a 4.5 star resort but you are not going to get that at this price point. The suite was new and spacious , the staff was without exception helpful and friendly . The pool was nice and warm and the beach was long and beautiful . Great for walks. The food was tasty , keeping in mind that you are not going to get premium steak at this price point. Others have mentioned not great variety in the buffet which is true but there was e [... read more]nough to keep us satisfied for the week. The drinks were good but no premium alcohol. One complaint would be that they advertise unlimited a la carte dining but there a were no a la carte restaurants open for three of the seven days and often only one or two on other days. We did attend all four and they were good with the Mexican being the best and the Italian being our least favourite . All in all we were quite satisfied based on the approximately $1000 per person that we paid for an all inclusive week in a suite in early October. Great for the trip with kids and grandkids. We have been to nicer places but paid way more for those.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Great resort and very affordable!

This resort was exactly what it was promised! It was beautiful, food was great, it had a children’s play area. The only things that could improve were the kids pool were too warm , the bathroom didn’t have a complete door or screen that separated it from the rest of the bathroom so water would get out and the kids place had a trampoline that was closed :( other than those it was WONDERFUL! Definitely recommend

Riu Republica: Absolutely NOT

View wise it’s a nice sight.. but the whole place smells of mold especially the club it’s toxic! Most the rooms are leaking,alcohol is watered all the way down. Lastly I got food poisoning for days !!

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Review of Stay from Sept 27 to Oct 3rd 2025- Royalton Diamond club

Hotel, accommodation, grounds, beach, food, staff was all excellent EXCEPT THE BATHROOM Bathroom OLD and not to standard. Sink was spewing water on the mirror when tap was running. *Shower: MOLD and Mildew, dirty looking. When taking a shower, water leaks out to the floor. Needs to be totally refinished to be acceptable. Toilet, bolts were missing the cover and it was black and nasty looking.

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Amazing Resort

It was my first time here, And I must say the hotel was well kept, both inside and outside, the service is awesome, they go to the extreme to make sure that you`re comfortable and happy, I was recommended by a friend and I would surely do the same to others ( I`m loking forward to another visit soon)

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Mediocre resort

This is definitely not a 5 star resort. Not very good amenities.rooms were a little dated.nickel and dimed for everything. No activities for kids outside the lazy river.definitely overated and will not be going. Back

Zemi Miches Punta Cana All Inclusive: Great resort

This is a great resort hotel it will be even better when it is completed. It is one hour 20 minutes away from the airport a long drive. All the staff was super friendly big smiles try hard to speak English. Our favourite restaurant was the Italian and the sports bar. The bartender Abby was super. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fantastic Stay

Recently spent 5 days in Dominican at the Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar. Honestly I have really nothing bad to say about our stay. The food was fantastic with lots of options, we got a massage which was great and we had a private dinner on the beach which was very personal and romantic. The adults pool was a bit quiet during the day. Unless something was going on there was no music so we just started bringing our own speaker. The compound is massive, we barely saw any of it. I would have like [... read more]d to do more of that but honestly we didnt have a reason to. Yurta was one of the best restaurants to eat at. But honestly even the buffet is pretty rockin' The hotel mini fridge can be stocked as much as you want but if you plan to do any drinking in your room it may be easier to just grab a bottle of duty free on your way in.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort without the weekend passes

We were a family of 6, and loved the atmosphere of the resort during the weekdays (Monday - Thursday). It got extremely chaotic and wild once the local weekend passes arrived on Friday. The resort and staff were overwhelmed and the atmosphere changed drastically, which is ashamed because overall the resort experience was very good is so many ways (excellent service, good food, amazing pools, nice updated rooms..) Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Wonderful vacay

We loved this hotel. The rooms were clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was good especially in the a la carte restaurants. They had a very fun entertainment team and there was so much to do. Beautiful beach as well.

Ocean El Faro: As expected

Typical DR resort. Average everything, good lazy river beach was below standard. Rooms decent, be prepared to walk a lot, we went in low season so easy to get beach / pool chairs. Didn’t get to try all the restaurant’s as many were closed due to low season. If you get a good deal worth going. Be wary of the time share people in the white. They are your best friend before the sales pitch and Rude after the 2 plus hr sales pitch they claim will only be 15 minutes.after you tell them you’r [... read more]e not interested.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Great resort

We as a family of 6 lived the resort. The staff was amazing and so friendly. The food was as good too always something to eat even my daughter who is gluten free had no problem finding something to eat. Rooms were very spacious and clean. My only complaint and the reason I won’t return is the resort allowing the locals to visit the resort . They take over the whole resort to the point of the bars only serving beer to everyone to control the chaos they caused. Occidental Punta Cana: Occidental Rating? - 5

Okay, we booked a Superior Ocean View Room. Arrived at about 4 pm on Sept 26. Changed clothes, turned A/C down cause room was warm and went to have a drink and dinner with friends. Came back to room at around 9 pm. Floor in front of room door was soaked, roof was dripping, and a freshly installed piece of drywall on the ceiling was saturated with water. Went to the front desk and complained, #1 Ceiling was leaking condensation from A/C unit in our ro [... read more]om which wasn’t working #2 wet floor was a safety hazard as I had slipped on it People at the front desk told me there was nothing they could do about it tonight And I’d have to wait till tomorrow. I told them it was a safety issue and the A/C not working was unacceptable and I wanted a new room for the night. This argument continued for 2 hours until I got a lady from Guest Services to come and look at it. She called someone and we were moved into another room at 11:30 that night. A huge thank you to Yugeisy Castillo for all of her help! The rest of the week was mediocre. Food was okay but the staff were not serving anyone. Definitely wanted you to get it yourself. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Lovely resort, would go back !

The smaller footprint makes for a very enjoyable experience getting from room to beach to food to bar... The taxi service to downtown is at the front door an a quick 10-15 minute trip. The staff was very friendly and special shout outs to Rosa, Felix and Adrian during breakfast/lunch service. Rosa in the evening and the two bartenders Andrea and Richardo! We had a junior suite - that overlooked the ocean - 3rd floor. plenty of space, bathroom had great water pressure, and hot water! Beach [... read more] was great and ok to snorkel. Food was amazing! One of our party has food sensitivity and allergies and there was always plenty (and tasty) options! All beaches in the DR are public, so be prepared to have vendors. Being polite goes a long way! We would definitely go back, unfortunately there are no direct flights schedule to POP from YWG. We departed from Toronto. From the POP airport to the resort ~30 minutes with traffic.

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Nice hotel with average service

Especially the girl working (pasta station in Gourmet restaurant : the lady who worked on 20 September for lunch time around 1:00 pm and the lady who worked at bar in the main lobby at 6:30 pm on 20 September 2025) were very unprofessional, hostile. They pretended that they don't not understand me even though i was trying speak to then in Spanish. if they did understand my Spanish i could have spoken in English . . she was not even smiling or pleasant (she has this attitude of : what do you wa [... read more]nt? . I even felt that i should not eat food from pasta station . I had an amazing time at the hotel, then this these people on the day i was leaving spoiled the hospitality. the girl at the bar was very nasty . she refused to serve me even though i was diamond club member. she treated me as though i was getting a drink free of charge. I can give you more details if you need. I spend 2700C$ for 4 days and this what i get.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Excellent resort

The resort was beyond our expectations. The food was amazing, the room was bright and comfortable and kept clean every day. The service was top notch. The staff really make you feel welcome. We would definitely like to go again, but not in September, it was over 30 degrees every day.
