Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Hiding away at the Royalton Riviera Cancun

We stayed in the Hideaway section of the Royalton in December. We also chose the Diamond Club option. The GOOD - - Fabulous resort, contemporary furnishings, very clean including all the grounds. - Well appointed rooms with comfy beds, rainfall showers, safe for valuables, mini bar, room service large flat screen TV with a huge array of channels including HBO, TNT, Space, etc. The TV was the control centre for all the programming at the hotel and info. - The room also had a lot of outle [... read more]ts both normal 110v and USB. That was super handy. Wifi service was top notch (great connectivity). - Our butler Miguel was fantastic -- he decorated our room for our anniversary and always was looking to see how he could make our visit a great one - The buffet is the best we have ever had at an all inclusive resort - a large assortment of options including a gelato bar (the cinnamon and chocolate were our faves) - A large array of options for dining. - The breakfast at the Dorado was wonderful. Close to the beach and nice to be served. - Friendly helpful staff - Lots of comfy loungers by the pool - The resort is a mere 15 minutes from Cancun airport. The NEEDS IMPROVEMENT - BEVERAGES - The house wines are really not great. The champagne was ok in Mimosa's but not so great otherwise, and the other house wines were not great either. We don't require the most expensive, but we have stayed at other resorts where the house wines were considerably better. So if you want a decent bottle of wine - spring for something on the list. The cocktail menu was quite good though! - ROOM CLEANING - we let our butler know we liked our room cleaned in the mornings. One day we came back to the room mid afternoon and the room had not been touched even though we had been gone about 6 hours. It took 3 calls and 2 hours to get it resolved and get us clean towels so we could bathe for dinner. That was not great. Giving credit where it is due - our butler went the next day and made sure our room was made up! Miguel was fantastic! - We had some minor glitches at some a la carte restaurants. It wasn't that busy as we went in mid December, but they brought all my food at once at Zen (soup, main). Also, my hubby got served his beverage right away and I had to ask twice for mine. Then they come and apologize to my hubby, when his meal was fine. Odd that - apologies should go to the person you inconvenience folks. - Also the elevator was not working 2-3 times when we were there -- however it was not far to take the stairs and if one needed an elevator there was one a little further down the road All told, it was a great experience and we thought the resort was beautiful. We would likely go back and hope that the resort finds the feedback worthwhile. Note -- I would likely have given the resort a 4.5 star if I could have

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Fantastic stay!

We stayed here from December 9-18th and from the minute we arrived the service was wonderful and staff friendly and helpful! Our room was a standard room but was large and clean, comfy bed and beautiful tub and shower. It seemed as though almost all of the balconies faced the pool or ocean so there weren’t any bad views. The beach and pools were beautiful and the pools nice and warm, and hot tubs actually hot! The gym was great, new equipment and Victor was by far our favorite staff member [... read more]. He was extremely helpful for being the staff assigned to the gym....he was like a personal trainer!! Thanks Victor! Food was great and drinks were fabulous; the French restaurant had the best French onion soup I have ever had! You will not be disappointed if you stay at this resort!!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Fantastic Resort!!!!

We had any amazing time at the Ocean Coral in Mexico. The room, food, entertainment, staff, beach and amenities were far beyond our expectations. This was our 7th visit to the Mayan coast but the 1st time to this resort. This is by far one of our favourite! We would go back in a flash to this resort!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Amazing Experience!

I loved this resort! So much to do and see without leaving the resort, natural cenote to snorkel in, petting zoo, Cat-land, wild monkeys and Coati roaming the grounds. The pool was good, but food was a bit of a walk if you were on the beach or at the main pool. The rooms were nice, had bunk beds in the room even though I did not use them. Big resort, so lots of walking needed.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great hotel Great people

Had a wonderful time. The room was huge and amazing. They gave us a ground floor as my partners mobility is compromised. The food was terrific and went to one of the al-a-carte restaurants 4 times. No complaints but the weather could have co-operated a little more but on the whole is was good. Have been to The Royal Decameron a number of times and things just seem to get better. Went off site and had four messages and two facials. Felt awesome. Will we go again, definitely.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Beautiful clean Resort

Loved our stay, would recomend the staff was friendly and we had no issues there, some minor things that weren't working but was fixed beautiful Resort very clean nice , great food, Beach was okay, nice pools, Lobby was spectacular

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Excellent resort minus one thing.

We have stayed here once before about 4 years ago but stayed at the Tulum Resort. We came back because the staff are a great help and the food is wonderful. The beach was being restored at that time (and still is). The drawback is the beach. Not only is it still being restored but has been reduced in size for those staying at Tulum and especially Coba, where we stayed this time. For those staying at Coba, which requires a Cartrain to get you to the beach, by the time you get there all the spots  [... read more]are taken. For those staying at Coba, in reality, you have no beach.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Nice resort but

We visited the Decameron again last week. It's a lovely resort with friendly staff . This visit we were very disappointed in the quality and choice of the entrees at the buffets, not nearly as good as previous years. I've always recommended the Decameron in the past but anymore.

Riu Santa Fe: Perfect time in Cabo as always

Trip went smooth like butter, could not complain about a thing from time time of booking to getting home. Experience more wildlife and surrounding areas this time. Beautiful chunk of Mexico with the most amazing people 👌🏻

Secrets Huatulco: Incredible

What an amazing resort. You feel pampered from the moment you arrive. The service, rooms & food were beyond my expectations 👍I would highly recommend this resort - you won’t be disappointed. Great location with its own private bay

Riu Santa Fe: Love this resort

Can’t say enough about this resort. That is why this last 2 week vacation there for my wife and I was our seventh year in a row and we plan to return next year too. We love taking the local bus to downtown Cabo and the Marina. The great variety of food is wonderful and the staff is always trying to please you.The night shows are awesome too.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Extremely Beautiful Resort

Very freindly staff superior rooms lots of nature to enjoy such as Monkey Iguanas Kouati’s Butterflies Toucans etc etc. The Oceanfront was very nice with ample loungers for everyone great snorkling out front and the pools were very clean and well kept. Every meal at the Buffets and ala cartes were excellent

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Nice resort

We stayed at Iberostar Play Mita for 10 days in December. The resort was all decorated for Christmas which was nice because you kind of forget it is that time of year when you are enjoying the sun and sand. We found the resort to be very easy to get around it is not a big resort at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and nice. I would rate this resort as a 4 star. Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Simply Amazing!

In December 5 of us girlfriends went to Iberostar Paraiso Beach and all of us were amazed at the service we received!! Everyone was happy to help us out and we felt so welcomed. The entertainment was AWESOME, from shows every night to activities on the beach and at the pool. We had SO much fun :) Would highly recommend this to anyone!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great place

This hotel is awesome for the price, really cheap for a 5 star resort. Great fishing from shore walking distance from resort. The beach is just a collection of water breaks designed to slow the waves down, not very appealing, ok for kids. to rough outside of breaks to snorkel. The only other complaint I have is the premier staff are always out in the middle of the entrance ways hounding the guests to attend there package meeting. We were accosted multiple times a day, to the point we started  [... read more]to avoid the area, and really only went thru that zone when we were going to eat at the buffet. all in all a great place to go will be going back for years to come.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Second time and still great

We are a family of five and Kantenah rooms fit all of us. Really enjoyed the resort, food and excursions. The kids really love the white nosed coaties We came three years ago and plan to come again in the future.

Grand Oasis Sens: It was our honeymoon and it was one of the best vacations we have had!

We stayed at Temptation from November 21st to the 28th for our honeymoon and we were not totally sure what to expect based on the online reviews. First few days we partied hard and made some new friends. The whole place is amazing and we loved the new décor. General We stayed on the fifth floor in Bash tower, our room was large with a huge king size bed, there was a walk in shower, the room was a very clean and modern. Food What can we say about the food, it was all excellent. Loved [... read more] the daily sushi bar at the buffet. As far as ala cart's go "She" and the Italian were our favorites. Staff The staff were amazing always willing to help make you feel welcome, Very friendly and always smiling. The third day we were there they decorated our room with rose pedals, chocolate strawberries, towel swans on the bed and a honeymoon banner on the door. Overally The place is truly amazing and we will definitely be returning, but there was one thing we'd like to see: Other than the honeymoon decorations there were no other days they did the towel are and my wife truly missed that.Foam party was so much fun, we loved every minute of our stay, the entertainment team made it that more special. We came prepared with costumes and took total advantage of the theme nights, this was my favorite part! They could possibly consider changing the theme night line up from time to time. This was one of our best holidays yet, we partied like rock stars and had so much fun, we miss all of our new friends already. We are looking forward to another Temptation Vacation in 2019, hopefully the new one will be open in Punt Cana. We will be back., A & A

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Beautiful resort in the jungle

We just returned from a week away at this resort. Overall we had a fantastic holiday. We opted for the package which allows for unlimited access to the Xcaret park which we took full advantage of visiting many times both day and night. We are a family of 4 with two children ages 5 and 8. Pros: Resort is very clean and grounds are beautiful. It is secluded and there are no other resorts in site. It feels very safe and you can walk it easily. Lots of animal to be seen around including monkeys, [... read more] coatis etc. Ample pools and chairs available. Pools are a little cold but ok. Food was decent and there is a good choice of restaurants. No booking required. The beach buffet is in a beautiful setting. Some more variation in the food would be good but overall we found lots to eat. No illness. We heard complaints about booze being watered down but this is pretty standard in Mexico. Service was friendly and attentive. Staff at kids club were very kind to children. Beach- it's a man made beach and quite small. It's a cove which worked well for us and there were no waves so children could swim safely. Other beaches in the area are much more beautiful but the undercurrent can be strong. Xcaret park is incredible. Tons to do. There are lots of optimal extras but we didn't do any and still loved the park. Cons- Some hassle to attend time share demos. We did attend and weren't given any hassle when we said a firm no. Beach loungers get snatched up quickly. Need to reserve early morning. Rooms are quite small. Typical hotel rooms rather than suites. No bath. Overall a lovely resort. More suited to families who want to attend Xcaret.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Absolutely an amazing resort

We loved the intimate size of the resort. We love to snorkel, great here. We love to play beach volleyball, excellent. The entertainment crew is incredible. We are already looking at returning to this resort.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Quiet and Lovely!

We picked this resort for its smaller size, its closeness to Chichen Itza, but mostly for its advertisement as “the quiet resort”. We weren’t disappointed. Food was great, employees friendly and the coffee bar a great addition.
