Samba Vallarta: Fantastic resort.

The resort was fantastic, food was incredible taisty and plentiful. What stood out most was very relaxed and low keyed. We would recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing no nonsense and down to earth resort. I would not recommend using trip central is booking. You can not trust their prices.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar Review - November 2017

Our family of four stayed here at end of November and overall our experience with the hotel/resort was very good. This is a very big resort and even though there are shuttles we found at times they were few and far between. Our family did a lot of walking so be prepared!! Staff are very friendly though and the customer service was excellent. The grounds were exceptionally clean and well maintained. Public areas were mostly very clean. Bathrooms by the beach were gross (as we’ve found at all resorts we’ve stayed at in Mexico), but the other restrooms by the buffets and in the lobby areas, etc were very clean. Our room was pretty good overall. I would say it could stand to use a bit of updating and the beds weren’t the most comfortable, not like at home, but were okay. A few issues on arriving in our room i.e. no hand soap, no coffee and during the week our safe wouldn’t open. However, when reporting these issues to reception they were there very quickly with someone to address/correct any problems. The only thing we didn’t like was the push from the staff beside check in/out to sit through a session to buy property or a timeshare through Iberostar as the attitude from one particular staff member wasn’t appropriate. I don’t need to hear that you’re “just doing your job”. I’m just on vacation and if I’m interested in sitting through any sessions on timeshares or buying property there, then I will approach someone. I don’t appreciate the staff being so pushy about it and having an attitude when I politely said I’m not interested. Food overall was very good. We ate at three a la carte’s (Mediterranean, Japanese, and Brazilian). By far the best was the Japanese and Brazilian. The Mediterranean wasn’t really enjoyed by anyone in our party. It was so hot in the restaurant. Odd because the Brazilian was just beside it and it was very cool inside. It was just so uncomfortable. When it’s cooler outside then in you know that’s a problem. The food itself was just okay. Some of the appetizers weren’t very appetizing. The main part of our meal was alright. My chicken was dry though. We didn’t like the dessert choices either. It was like eating at the regular buffets. The regular buffets were good although I would have liked to have seen more of a variety especially with this being our third time in Mexico. Lots of amenities for the whole family. A little pricey though i.e. seadoo with someone else driving for 30 minutes was $60 US I believe we were quoted. Parasailing for two was $120 US for 30 minutes. The pool area was excellent. Especially for the little ones there is shallow areas and areas that have a slope to enter which was great. I appreciated that this resort had quiet areas at the pool so depending on where you sat you could get away from the noise of the bars if you wanted to. Never had an issue finding seating there even some of the beds with the canopies were open if you went throughout the day. Beach was excellent. Water could be a bit choppy at times but overall we had a great experience there. Only recommendation I would suggest would be for Iberostar to look at their policy about putting towels on the chairs. I have never been to a resort where you can’t go put a towel on a chair and come back to the chair later. At Iberostar if you leave a towel unattended they not only take your towel but you lose your beach chair. This then requires a trip to the lobby to sort this out and get new towel cards which is a huge hassle. I heard a lot of people complaining about this while we were there and having stayed previously in Mexico twice at other resorts, I didn’t appreciate this policy as this has never been an issue at other hotels/resorts.

Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay: Second time and still a gorgeous resort

Stayed three years ago and had a fantastic time. Always wanted to go back. Pools and service are great. Not much beach left. More sand three years ago. A very large resort with lots of walking. Shuttles are available from one end to another. One buffet restaurant and one a-la-carte. Great Mexican food. Other sister property in town has more international food choices. Hotel was full but overall service was great. Lots of people keep coming back. Would definitely recommend to others.

Will definitely come back to the beautiful place!!! Made "our" honeymoon way more relaxing with all the amazing food and entertainment! The best one yet! Staff was very friendly and very helpful!! View was amazing as well!

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Outstanding customer service

The grounds at this hotel are gorgeous but I can't say enough great things about the staff. The service was impeccable! From the check in to the check out, the service was always fast and super friendly. We had a few hiccups in our room; safe not working, power outage, balcony door not closing, but the staff attended to all these issues and resolved them immediately. Thanks to everyone for a fantastic vacation.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Incredible !

From the minute you walk into the Grand , you are greeted with a cold towel and welcome drink. The hotel itself is like a palace and the staff make you feel like you are royalty. The rooms are impeccably clean and spacious. The bathrooms are huge and have 2 separate sinks and a jacuzzi bath to enjoy. The bed was comfortable and there is a pillow menu for your comfort. Loved having room service breakfast and coffee on the balcony. You will not go wrong with this resort!

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Spectacular, but not quite perfect, resort!

This was my first all-inclusive experience, but it was my girlfriend's seventh, so this review includes feedback from a first-timer and someone with experience. Pros: FOOD, FOOD, FOOD. The food was the best food at any resort, ever. In some cases, better than food back home. We point this out specifically because we know that food at all-inclusive resorts, although abundant, usually isn't as good as one would expect. My girlfriend who has nearly traveled the entire world in search of the bes [... read more]t Tiramisu, said that "Capers" (The Italian Cuisine restaurant) had the second best tiramisu outside of Italy she's ever had (there's one in our hometown in Nova Scotia that was just slightly better). The fact that the a la carte restaurants were unlimited, and first-come-first-serve basis (no reservations) practically made the buffet obsolete (more on that later). Of the four a la carte restaurants, the one we would rate the lowest was "Spice", the Chinese Cuisine restaurant, but it was still quite good. If we were able to see the teppanyaki show, or if we ordered from that menu we likely would have enjoyed it more. "Mercure", the French Cuisine restaurant was by far the best. They had a filet mignon that was (literally) worth writing home for. It was the only restaurant we went to twice for supper, but we wish we likely would have gone more if we had more time. The lunch a la carte restaurant was also awesome, "Castaways". We went there for all but two lunches when we discovered the lunch buffet was also quite good. The resort was small, which was nice, it was never over crowded, and the rooms/buildings were laid out around the restaurants and garden which were central. Everything was very easily accessed by foot (no more than a 5 minute walk from one end of the resort to the other). Everything was really clean and the facilities were very well maintained. Service was excellent. We can easily see why this is one of the highest rated resorts in the area. Cons: The doorknobs in the room were a real pain to use. It actually made getting out of the room or the bathroom difficult. I'm not sure if it was just our room or if other rooms had this issue. The lounge chairs on the beach were not very comfortable. I didn't have many complaints about them but my girlfriend indicated that they were the one of the least comfortable she's had at any resort and indicated this would likely be the biggest improvement they could make. VIP Services staff - though very friendly, they were very aggressive about getting us to sit through the presentation(s) they offered in exchange for coupons or other things. It got to the point where we would intentionally avoid the lobby to avoid interacting with these people. My girlfriend says she'd normally like to hangout in the lobby and enjoy time there so this was something that she found detrimental. Otherwise, if you don't spend much time in the lobby, then I don't think you'll have this issue.

Crown Paradise Golden: Fantastic two weeks

I found this hotel to be very relaxing and the staff extremely accommodating. The only amenities that I would have liked, would be more palapas on the beach rather than the bed's and a coffee bar that made Expresso coffees. Fantastic vacation, would return in a heartbeat..

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Best vacation ever!

Just got back December 9 and wanted to share our experience. We stayed for two weeks in the penthouse suite with roof top Service Our Butler Yair was one of the kindest and generous people we have ever met. He never let us down, gave us all we asked for and more. When we return will definitely request him. Aromatherapy in the room every night, and I had asked for milk for my coffee in the mornings and he made sure I always had some. Breakfast was very good at the Sian Kaan, and the chef would make your eggs any way you liked them. When you book at this hotel you get premium drinks like Crown Royal and Baileys also at the Akumal, but they make you pay for them at the cobra and talum. Beach The beach is beautiful, calm and fish everywhere! Every day at least twice I would feed them cereal bars, they loved it, don't forget to do this, what a great experience! Also no vendors on the beach which was nice. The downside was that when we booked this resort we were told that we had an exclusive sian Kaan section of the beach, not so, shared with the Akumal adults only and no chairs except after three o'clock! Very annoying! So we paid the young guy at the water excursions hut $2 every day and he saved us chairs. I know it sounds rude, but at least we got a couple of chairs. And we paid for a so called private area! We would spend hours there and people would never show up with towels on their chairs. Pools The sian Kaan pools were a bit too quiet for us so we spent most of our time at the Akumal infinity pool or the beach. Entertainment All of the shows were pretty good, especially the magic show! There is a show and activity board in the sian Kaan updated every day so you can plan your evenings. Transportation Trams were great, including one that goes directly to the beach. They are all color codes with destinations so you never get lost. Excursions We only did one that was free, they took us to a jewelry store, we were only suppose to be there for half hour but two hours later they picked us up and took us to the worst part of playa de carmen! I didn't want to get out of the taxi! Basically an outdoor market, Was really shady and not enough time to allow travelling to the high end stores to shop. The driver told us when we got there that we had to stay for four hours! I was like, "I don't think so!" We booked through the Air Transat rep and he told us two! After some bickering he finally agreed to two hours! I thought we were going to get stuck there, and I am sure if we had not gone with another couple the experience might have been a lot worse! We found out later that the driver worked for the owner of part of the market and the restaurant they wanted us to eat at! Was really shady, and very uncomfortable feeling, and was way out of our comfort zone, not to mention there was nothing in the market that was not on the Hacieinda at the resort. My husband got a tattoo in the hacieinda there, really safe, and the guy use to have a shop in playa de carmen and has worked at the resort seven years now, he is very talented! His name is William, worth it to visit him, his work is amazing! All in all it was a fantastic vacation actually the best we have had so far! Would highly recommend this resort, and we will be back for sure!

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Awesome resort

The hotel was kept spotlessly clean and the grounds are a mixture of well groomed areas and natural habitat. All of the staff were very helpful and greeted us with a smile. The abundance of wildlife was an unexpected perk. Food was not only very good, but available at all hours. The rooms were very large and beds comfortable. It was my second time at this resort and I would consider another stay at this resort

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: The most amazing, beautiful resort I've ever been to

I have always tried to stay in hotels that are rated a minimum 4 stars. This trip was free - I won it on Ottawa's radio station Majic 100. The staff, grounds, food, service, rooms and cleanliness - all were spectacular. I don't think I will be able to settle for anything less than an Iberostar Grand hotel ever again. I was in awe the entire time with the décor, lights, beautiful staircases. I could go on and on. Wonderful place to vacation and relax and get pampered.

Rooms were spectacular, beds super soft and comfy, pillows were perfect and if they weren’t you could choose a from a pillow menu, one issue I had was the lighting system, it was run off a motion. Sensor. Some kinks to iron out, when my husband would leave in the morning to go to the gym and then about 5 minutes later I would roll over, the lights would all come in.. a big of a pain, but nothing that would ever stop me from going again! JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Beyond Blown Away!

This hotel was over the top in every way possible. From the breathtaking decor, to the most delicious food, to the friendliest staff, to the beautiful beaches, to the luxurious rooms and inspiring views.. It was all on another level of special. I've stayed at many 5 star all inclusives before but never this incredible. I'm spoiled for ever staying at another resort because this will be incredibly difficult to top! Thank you!!

Camino Real Zaashila: good resort.

Rooms are good. Food is fresh and plenty. Everyone do their best to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Bad part is, hard to communicate with them as most of them do not speak English and a very few speaks a bit of broken English, even the front desk!! Nature's disadvantage is, most of the time red flag is on saying it is not safe to go to sea and it is a major disappointment. But, great pool compensated this disappointment, to some extent, though. Allegro Cozumel: Very enjoyable stay !!

Visited the resort last week of November - Beautifully kept small resort. Grounds are lush,pools clean and room small but the maids keep them spotless, lots of hot water and AC worked great. Food good, always something to eat. The beach was outstanding

Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: Awesome all over, change nothing!

Loved this resort, from the food , accommodations, service, grounds, it was all just perfect. Thanks you el Cid for an awesome week. We are looking forward to another week hopefully in April. The new Dolores food eatery was outstanding.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Best resort ever

We just spent a week at this resort and it was AMAZING. There isn’t a bad thing about the resort. The food, staff and entertainment was fabulous. There is WIFI everywhere at the hotel even on the beach, pool and in the room. We will definitely be back soon.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Great vacation

Sensatori Azul is a beautiful 5* resort. Friendly staff, great Bali beds at the beach and at the pools, well maintained grounds, amazing public washrooms and superbe dining. Our room was very clean and lacked nothing , amazing amnesties. Else, our concierge was always there to answer our questions. Great service from the bartenders and waitresses. Excellent Spa service. Entertainment staff kept everyone busy. We appreciated the gorgeous Christmas decorations.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Still a class operation

We really liked the grounds and beach and found our 'entry level' room to be more than satisfactory. A high point for us was definitely the restaurants -excellent variety, quality and no reservations required. Right across the board, the staff are friendly and efficient. Very pleased we returned.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Simply incrediable

the Palladium Kantenah is an amazing resort. Always clean, pool washrooms cleaned on a regular basis, dining room quick turnovers. The Staff can't say enough about them, happy, willing to service, pleasant, smiling, always there when you need them. The al cart restaurants are delicious and a wide selection in the buffet. Aqua Excursions are simply incredible. They have an amazing staff and any beginner would feel comfortable, very knowledgeable and patience
